All Japan Pro Wrestling held a press conference at its HQ on the 8th floor of the Yushima Building. Giant Baba was hosting. Joining him were Jumbo Tsuruta, Masanobu Fuchi and Atsushi Onita The first matter of business he got into was the attendance figures. It was noted some fans expressed concern over the use of smaller venues. Giant Baba said those venues were booked based on the idea that those smaller venues were booked because it was during the weekday part of the tour, and there was no guarantee on how fans would receive the Korakuen shows. Baba was happy to state that attendance figures were strong, that interest was there and so on the next tour, there would be bigger venues used. Baba also said that NTV reported that airings of matches from the tour after its completion were being met with high ratings. Merchandise sales were strong, and tickets for the next sale were selling at a brisk pace. The next tour would run from 7.20-7.31 and would be called the "Giant Summer Action Series." The tour would see determination matches for the All Asia Tag Team Titles, AJPW Unified Tag Titles and AJPW Junior Heavyweight Title. There would be more wrestlers on the cards, more gaijin would be competing and All Japan would be travelling to more venues. The question of Atsushi Onita's actions during the last event was brought up. Baba said Onita can address it. Onita was asked why after appearing as The Great Nita for most of the Launch Tour, why did he help Giant Baba at the end. Onita said that after the loss to Tenryu as The Great Nita earlier in the night, he looked in the mirror and saw that The Great Nita was not who he really was. He was Onita Atsushi and he was a wrestler, not a painted goon with a blade. He wanted to make a dramatic to change his ways and helping Baba would show that. When asked if he was worried about retribution, Onita said if he deserved it, fate would make it happen. Giant Baba went back to tour details. The tour dates and venues were released. 7.20- Furubira Municipal Junior High School Gymnasium 7.21- Sunugawa City Municipal Gym 7.22- Ueda Citizen Gymnasium 7.23- Shimostuna City General Gymnasium 7.24- Korakuen Hall 7.25- Korakuen Hall 7.26-Omachi West Part Gymnasium 7.27- Kusu Town Eiko Shopping Center 7.28-Esashi Municipal Junior High School Gymnasium 7.29- Obira Town Marine Center 7.30- Korakuen Hall 7.31 Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan The final event at Sumo Hall would feature the 3 title matches! When Baba was asked about the concept of "Shoot Style" and "Deathmatch" wrestlers, Baba dismissed the deathmatches immediately and said it was "Garbage." Baba said all wrestlers in AJPW will walk the Royal Road. Baba did state he was open to some "different style" fights...but only if they reflected the Royal Road style. Baba did say he did one title match has been determined. For 7.31 at the Ryogoku Kokugikan, the AJPW Junior Heavyweight Determination match would be between Fuchi Masanobu and Onita Atsushi. He wished both men luck and thanked everyone for attending.

AJPW “Giant Summer Action Series” Tour 7.20 from Furubira Municipal Junior High School Gymnasium
1,796 fans in attendnace1. 20 Minute Time Limit: Kakihara Masahito (X) [14:52 Pin- Butterfly Suplex Hold] Billy Robinson (O)
Billy showed off his technical expertise, keeping Kakihara grounded and unable to use kicks. Billy worked over the neck with the European Side Headlock and Front Chancery from a kneel position as well as roughing Kakihara up with European Uppercuts. When Billy used the Butterfly Suplex hold, he also put a bit of snap into it that caused a hard impact. 2. 30 Minute Time Limit: Grindhouse Gore Army: Jason the Terrible and Leatherface (X) [17:21 DQ- Weapons use] No Fear: Takayama Yoshihiro (O) and Omori Takao
Jason The Terrible and Leatherface made an ominous entrance, Jason carried a Barbed Wire Baseball Bat and Leatherface carried what could only be described as a giant brush but instead of bristles, it has nails! Despite the horror-theme, they were good brawlers. Takayama was happy to oblige and went toe to toe with Jason in the match while Leatherface got the better of Omori. The end came when Takayama and Leatherface were in the ring. Leatherface was knocked down by a big running kick, he responded with a Low Blow to Takayama and went for the "Nail Brush" and used it to cut Takayama open. Joe Higuchi counted while the weapon was in use, reached 5 and disqualified Leatherface. There was a brawl after the match that saw the wrestlers go through the crowd and to the back. 3. 30 Minute Time Limit: M-O Destiny: Misawa Mitsuharu (O) and Ogawa Yoshinari [25:47 Pin- Emerald Flowsion] UWF Mission: Takada Nobuhiko and Sakuraba Kazushi (X)It was an even match with all 4 men getting in big moves that came close to ending it. Takada scored with a High Kick on Ogawa for a 2 count at around the 10 minute mark. Sakuraba trapped Misawa in a Cross Armbreaker at around the 14 minute mark that almsot made Misawa tap, but he got a foot on the ropes. At around the 17 minute mark, Misawa and Ogawa hit a double backdrop on Sakuraba for a 2 count. The end came when both Sakuraba and Misawa were in the ring, both men were battered. Misawa hit a Tiger Driver for 2. When both men got up, Misawa launched an Elbow strike, hit a back Elbow then lifted Sakuraba and planted him with the Emerald Flowsion. Ogawa cut off Takada to prevent the save and Misawa scored the pinfall. 4. 20 Minute Time Limit: Kawada Toshiaki (O) [19:01 Sub- Eastern Stretch] Super Tiger II (X)
Super Tiger II didn't get in much offense. He did score a few low kicks, middle roundhouse kicks and managed to knock Kawada off his feet with a Spinning Wheel Kick...but the weight advantage of Kawada was too much. Kawada overpowered Super Tiger II with rough slaps and kicks. He hit the Step Kick combo, a Running Dangerous Kick and planted Super Tiger II in the canvas with a Backdrop and a Powerbomb. The fans were surprised and impressed each time Super Tiger II kicked out. Kawada ended things when he hit an Enzuigiri and applied the Eastern Stretch. Super Tiger II was in the hold for a good 30 seconds before he submitted. After the match, Kawada helped Super Tiger II to his feet and lifted his hand. 5. 30 Minute Time Limit: Volk Han & Las Leyendas: Dos Caras and Mil Mascaras ▲ [30:00 Draw] Muto Keiji & AJPW Sekigun: Giant Baba and Jumbo Tsuruta ▲Dos Caras and Mil Mascaras had a nice blend of aerial ability mixed in with some surprising power. Volk Han was a pure submission grappler, being a Master of Combat Sambo. Han and Muto started it off, with Han getting Muto down on the mat and going for various leg locks and ankle holds. Muto wrestled defensively and held Han at bay. When Dos Caras and Jumbo squarded off, the fans were shocked to see the luchador bodyslam big Jumbo. They were not as surprised, but still delighted to see Caras coming off the top with a Body Press for a 2 count. Mil Mascaras got into a Chop-War with Baba, and Baba won the exchange. The match saw plenty of near falls with Jumbo coming close with a 2 count using a Piledriver on Mascaras, Baba hitting a Russian Leg Sweep on Han for a 2 count and Dos Caras getting a 2 on Muto with La Magistral. In the end, Volk Han had Muto trapped in an Inverted STF, but the bell rang. At first fans thought Muto quit, but the announcement was made that the tiume limit had expired! 6. 30 Minute Time Limit: Hayabusa and Onita Atsushi (O) [25:25 Pin- Oklahoma Roll] The Great Sasuke (X) and Fuchi Masanobu
Hayabusa and Onita went straight to brawling and overwhelmed their opponents early on. Sasuke turned the tide with a nice Kangaroo kick, got Hayabusa outside and hit the Sasuke Special. He rolled Hayabusa in, stayed outside on the apron and hit a Slingshot Splash for 2. Sasuke got Hayabusa in the corner and hit a Tornado DDT for another 2. Fuchi was tagged in and he hit some nice Lariats in the corner, used a Bulldog to get Sasuke to the middle and hit an Elbow Drop 2. Fuchi missed a dropkick from an Irish Whip which allowed Hayabusa to tag in Onita. Onita and Fuchi went back and forth with headlock take overs, arm drags and chops. Fuchi tagged in sasuke who got a 2 with a Huracanrana and then another 2 count with a German Suplex Hold. Sasuke planted Onita with a Piledriver and then went up to the top rope. He tried the Moonsualt, but Onita got his knees up. As Sasuke was on three points (left hand and knees while clutching ribs with right arm), Onita used an Oklahoma Roll to get the flas pin on Sasuke.

AJPW “Giant Summer Action Series” Tour 7.21 from Sunugawa City Municipal Gym
3,000 in attendance1. 20 Minute Time Limit: Kakihara Masahito (X) & Fighting Investigation Team Battlarts- Ishikawa Yuki & Super Tiger II [10:49 Pin- Thrust Kick] Great Kabuki (O) and Grindhouse Gore Army- Leatherface & Jason the Terrible The martial arts abilities of Kakihara and Battlarts kept them in the match as long as it did, but the brawling by Kabuki, Jason and Leatherface along with rough tactics made it hard to overcome. The end came when Jason and Kabuki double teamed Kakihara with a Backdrop/STO combo, and then Kabuki hit a Thrust Kick when Kakihara staggered to his feet. 2. 20 Minute Time Limit: Volk Han (O) [18:17 Sub- Reverse STF] Sakuraba Kazushi (X) Volk Han is not a striker, he was fortunate that neither was Sakuraba. Although Saku was able to connect with some low kicks, it was clear to see he wasn't as proficient as Takada (his tag partner). Han got inside with a double leg, worked from inside, both men traded submission attempts and traded positions, but in the end, Han got the advantageous position and the Reverse STF sealed the win. 3. 20 Minute Time Limit: Karl Gotch (O) [12:31 Pin- Atomic Suplex] Ogawa Yoshinari (X) Ogawa tried to get quick pinfall attempts with School Boy pins, Inside Cradle Pins and event an attempted Victory Roll. Gotch however was having none of it, kicking out at 1 at the latest and coming back with a thunderous European Uppercut and then a Scissor Leg takedown. Gotch worked over the neck and arm of Ogawa. Gotch got a 2 count with a Gotch Style (aka Cradle) Kneeling Belly to Belly Piledriver. Ogawa was out of it after that Piledriver and kicked out based on instict. Gotch then went behind with the rear waistlock and snapped back a sweet bridging suplex hold he calls the Atomic Suplex. 4. 30 Minute Time Limit: BURNING- Kobashi Kenta & Akiyama Jun ▲ [30:00 Draw] REVOLUITION- Tenryu Genichiro & Kawada Toshiaki ▲ The match was a back and forth contest. At different points each team had the advantage and near falls. Jun got a 2 count on Tenryu with a DDT. Tenru got a 2 count on Kobashi with an Enzuigiri. Kawada almost scored a win with the Powerbomb. Kobashi and Kawada went outside where a Half nelson Suplex by Kobashi on Kawada almost caused Kawada to get counted out. The end of the match came when Kawada had Jun trapped in a Stretch Plum, then transitioned and planted Jun with a Dangerous DDT. Just before Kawada could make the pin, the bell sounded, signalling the time limit had expired. 5. 45 Minute Time Limit: Takada Nobuhiko (X) [26:00 Pin- Tiger Driver '91] Misawa Mitsuharu (O) Takada came out blazing with vicious kicks and a nice forearm. A German Suplex planted Misawa and allowed Takada opportunity to try for a Rear Choke Sleeper. Misawa got in his own offense with Jumping Front Kicks and a Big Elbow Butt. Misawa got a 2 count with the Frog Splash. Takada recovered and nailed a nice Belly to Belly Suplex which he then followed up with by using a Cross Armbreaker. Misawa avoided it and when both men got up, Misawa hit a nice Dropkick, turned Takada around and got a 2 with the Tiger Suplex. The battle raged on with both men connecting with hard strikes. Misawa used his forearms and elbows while Takada used a variety of kicks. One kick that kept missing though was the High Roundhosue. The end came when Takada connected with aq Backdrop, but with a surge of Fuighting Spirit, Misawa got up, charges with a Running Elbow, crumpled Takada, picked him up and pinned him with the Tiger Driver '91. 6. 45 Minute Time Limit: No Fear- Takayama Yoshihiro & Omori Takao (X) [34:24 Pin- Running Neckbreaker Drop] vs All Japan Sekigun- Giant Baba (O) and Jumbo Tsuruta NO FEAR lived up to their moniker. They weren't intimidated by baba and Tsuruta. Takayama and Jumbo went toe to toe, trading big boots. They then traded shoulder tackles and lariats. Jumbo clinched the exchange with the Jumping Knee Butt for 2. Baba and Omori locked up and Baba took Omori down with a Headlock Takeover and worked the Headlock. Bab got Omori back up and hit a Russian leg Sweep for 2. Omori punched away at Baba and hit a ncie dropkick. He then connected with a top rope elbow for 2. Takayama then worked over Baba with a Twisting Chin lock and a series of battering forearms to the chest. Takayama took baba down with a Big Boot and got a 2. Baba recovered and got a 2 with his own Big Boot. Omori and Tsuruta were tagged back in where a Piledriver by tsuruta resulted in a near fall. Jumbo tagged Baba back in and they hit a Double Russian leg Sweep. Baba then hauled Omori up, Irish Whip...Running Neck Drop for the 1-2-3.

AJPW “Giant Summer Action Series” Tour 7.22 from Ueda Citizen Gymnasium
2,214 in attendance1. 20 Minute Time Limit: Kakihara Masahito (X) [12:23 Pin- King Kong Lariat] Kondo Shuji (O)Kakihara and Kondo locked up, Kondo with the clear power advantage. Kakihara was taken down early with early Shoulder Tackles and Body Slams. Kakihara fought back with Shoot Kicks and a Waterwheel Drop for 2. Kondo impressed fans by executing a Gorilla Press Slam. He applied a Prison Hold that worked over the legs. Kondo ended the match by nailing a Vertical Drop Brainbuster, picking a groggy Kakihara back up and coming off the ropes with a thunderous King Kong Lariat for the win. 2. 20 Minute Time Limit: Volk Han (X) [19:42 Pin- One Handed Backbreaker] Billy Robinson (O)The Master of Russian Sambo battled the British Catch Genius. Volk Han got the early takedown and tried to establish mount, but Billy countered with a Small package type hold for 2. On their feet, Han tried to use low kicks, which Robinson absorbed as he changed levels, went low and outside and came up with a Rear Waistlock. He then lifted Han and placed him on his stomach. Han quickly got on all fours as Billy was in the Referee's Position. Billy had a hold of an arm and a foot and bided his time, waiting for Han to make a move. han tried rolling but Billy focused on the foot and applied a Figure Four Toe Hold. Han got to the ropes. They locked up and Han got a nice inside forearm that allowed to follow up with a Sambo Suplex. He tried to apply the Reverse STF but Robinson escaped to the ropes. Another collar and elbow saw Robinson hit a nice European Uppercut and an Inside Hip Throw. He then scored with an Atomic Drop. Han got back to his feet and connected with a nice Outer Sweep Throw, then unleashed a flurry of palm strikes that culminated in an Uranage for 2. Once both were back on their feet, Han tried low kicks. He then shifted to a middle kick that Billy caught. Billy held the leg, hit an inside leg trip and applied a leg grapevine. He then did a number of leaping leg snaps on Han's leg. Volk Han gingerly got to his feet and tried a weak looking Spinning Back Fist. Billy ducked it, grabbed Han and hit the 1 Handed Back Breaker. Billy made the cover, making sure to hook the bad leg so Han couldn't get momentum for the kick-out, and got the win. 3. 30 Minute Time Limit: The Bodyguard (X) [14:41 Count Out] The Great Kabuki (O)The match started off with both men going nose to nose, then the shoving match started. The Bodyguard got the better of Kabuki. Kabuki came off the rope with the Shoulder Tackle, but The Bodyguard was unfazed. The Bodyguard had a turn and his Shoulder Tackle took kabuki off his feet. Kabuki came back with a Lariat, but The Bodyguard was knocked back all of 3 steps. When The Bodyguard tried his Lariat, The Great Kabuki evaded with the Drop Toe Hold. Kabuki then applied a Grounded Side Headlock, but The Bodyguard got to his feet. he pushed Kabuki off and took him to the mat with a Flapjack Slam. The Bodyguard then followed up with 2 Big Elbow Drops. The Bodyguard got Kabuki in the corner and connected with 10 Standing Lariats. Kabuki fell out of the corner and Bodyguard got a 2 count. The Bodyguard executed a Delayed Vertical Suplex for another 2. The Bodyguard whipped Kabuki off the ropes, but Kabuki grabbed the rope and held on. The Bodyguard charged, Kabuki ducked, pulling the rope down and The Bodyguard went flying over the top rope! Referee Kyohei Wada began his count (Like various Lucha Libre promotions in Mexico, All Japan uses a 20 Count). Kabuki rolled out of the ring and whipped Bodygaurd into the barricade. He then connected with a Thrust Kick that flattened The Bodyguard. Kabuki rolled into the ring and Wada reached 20 as The Bodyguard was crawling to the ring apron. 4. 30 Minute Time Limit: REVOLUTION- Tenryu Genichiro (O) and Kawada Toshiaki [25:01 Pin- Powerbomb] All Japan Sekigun- Giant Baba and Jumbo Tsuruta (X)The match was frenetic as all four men battled hard against each other. Early stages saw Baba and Tsuruta try to keep things grounded. Baba used multiple Side Headlocks while Tsuruta liked using the Cobra Twist (Ab Stretch). Kawada and Tenryu kept battling out and kept coming back with Yakuza kicks. Baba responded with his own Big Boots which earned him a 2 count of Kawada. As the match progressed, all four men took a beating as Tenryu unloaded with vicious Chops in the corner on Baba and Kawada used the Stretch Plum to work over Tsuruta. Tsuruta hit a nice Bodyslam and a Standing Knee Drop on Tenryu for a 2. A close call came when Kawada hit a DDT on Baba for a 2 count, but Tsuruta made the save. Later in the match, Tenryu had to save Kawada when Baba hit a Giant DDT on Kawada for 2. The fans didn't know who would win as each time a high impact move was made, somehow the 3 Count was evaded. An example was when Tenryu hit a Piledriver on Tsuruta, but Tsuruta got his foot on the rope. A couple of moments later, Tsuruta connected with a Backdrop Hold, but Tenryu grabbed the bottom rope with his arm. The end came when Tsuruta Irish Whipped Tenryu into the corner and charged in the the Big Knee...Tenryu moved and Tsuruta caught the turnbuckle! As Tsuruta hobbled out, Tanryu connected with the Enzuigiri! As Tsuruta was doubled over, Tenryu hoisted him up and planted him with a Folding Powerbomb! Kawada ran in to cut of Baba, ate some chops as a result, but held off Baba long enough for Joe Higuchi to count to 3! After the match, the fans were stunned as no one expected Baba and Tsuruta to lose. All four men had a tense staredown, but no blows were thrown. What was communicated by their stares was that these two teams would meet again. 5. 30 Minute Time Limit: Ogawa Yoshinari (X) [18:36 Pin- Orange Crush] Kobashi Kenta (O)Kobashi quickly backed Ogawa into the corner and chopped away. He then irish Whipped Ogawa into the opposite corner. As Kobashi charged in after Ogawa, Ogawa hopped up nimbly on the middle turnbuckle and lept off with a Cross Body Block for a 2 count. Kobashi got up and hit a big Kesagiri Chop. He then used an Arm Wringer, and once he got a secure grip, he proceeded to brutally chop Ogawa with 10 rapid fire chops. He then slammed Ogawa and followed up with a Leg Drop for a 2 count. Kobashi then applied a Rear Chin Lock that saw Ogawa in a seated position with Kobashi leaning over him. Kobashi hauled Ogawa up, got a Half Nelson with Waistlock and connected with the Half Nelson Suplex for a 2 and 3/4! Ogawa was whipped off the ropes, but he grabbed the rope, dropped down and rolled out of the ring. Kobashi walked over to grab Ogawa while bent over the middle rope, but Ogawa used a Jaw Breaker Type Motion to have Kobashi's neck ram against the middle rope. Kobashi fell back and Ogawa climbed back onto the apron and connected with a Slingshot Splash for 2. Ogawa then sat Kobashi up, gave hima Soccer Kick and charged in with a Sliding Lariat for another 2 count. Ogawa then went to the top rope and tried a Twisting Splash, but Kobashi got the knees up. Kobashi planted Ogawa with a Shoulder Breaker, went up high and connected with the Moonsault...but only got 2. Kobashi whipped Ogawa off the rope, connected with a Back Body Drop, followed up witha Lariat then got Ogawa in a Front Facelock position. He hoisted Ogawa up and planted him hard with the Orange Crush Bomb for the pin. 6. 45 Minute Time Limit: Misawa Mitsuharu (O) [42:19 Pin- Tiger Driver] Akiyama Jun (X)Akiyama and Misawa started off by trading slaps and chops to the chest. That escalated to forearms and elbows, in which Misawa got the advantage. he knocked Akiyama down with a ncie elbow Strike and got a 1 count. Akiyama recovered and came off the ropes with a Jumping Forearm for a 2 count. As Akiyama was hauling Misawa to his feet, Misawa landed a Jumping Front Kick that knocked Akiyama down. Misawa applied a Face Lock where he pressed the insides of both forearms on each side of Akiyama's jaw. Akiyama refused to quit and fought out of it. He kiicked Misawa and connected with the DDT. Akiyama then ran off the ropes and connected with an Elbow Drop. Akiyama then hit a Release Northern Light Suplex for 2. Misawa was backed into the red corner where Akiyama battered him with forearms, turned him around and sat Misawa on the top turnbucke. Akiyama tried an Avalanche Backdrop but Misawa elbowed his way out, forcing Akiyama to fall back on the mat from the second turnbuckle. Misawa then scored with the Frog Splash, but could only get 2. Akiyama struggled back to his feet and was met with two Spinning Back Kicks by Misawa that knocked him down. Misawa hooked the arms and tried a Tiger Driver, but Akiyama resisted and executed a Back Body Drop! Akiyama crumpled to the mat and both men were down. They struggled back to their feet and Akiyama hit a Jumping DDT for 2. Akiyama then whipped Misawa into the corner and connected with a Lariat. Akiyama backed up, charged in for a second time, but Misawa got a foot up. Akiyama shook it off and tried again, but Misawa got both feet up and drove Akiyama back. Misawa then charged out of the corner and connected with the Running Elbow Butt. He got Akiyama up, stood behind Akiyama and connected with the Tiger Suplex Hold! Referee Joe Higuchi counted...1...2...KICK OUT! Both men lay on the mat and struggled to get up. Akiyama grabbed Misawa and hit a Backdrop, but Misawa got up and nailed a Lariat! Akiyama got up and connected with a Powerbomb for 2. Akiyama then whipped Misawa off the ropes but Misawa came back with a Cross Body Block. He got a 2 count. Both men were on one knee and it was a race. Misawa was up first, tried a Spin kick that missed. Akiyama then scored with the Exploder and made the cover...1...2...Kick Out! Misawa nailed a Big Elbow Strike...then a Second...and a Rolling Elbow! He got the double underhook, lifted Akiyama and...TIGER DRIVER! 1...2...3! "Spartan X" played as Misawa had his hand raised...but it was clear he had been through a war as the fans chanted "Mi-sah-wah!"

Two counts abounded. Misawa tried the Frog Splash, Kobashi tried the Moonsault. Ogawa tried every flash pin hold he could. Nothing was keeping the wrestlers down. The end finally came when Misawa hit an Emerald Flowsion on Akiyama for 2...but then followed up with the Tiger Driver '91 while Ogawa dived in to keep Kobashi from breaking up the count. The fans were chanting "MI-SA-WA!" and cheering wildly while the AJPW Unified World Tag Championship (PWF Tag and NWA International Tag) belts were presented. Misawa and Ogawa looked battered as they held the titles high as the event ended.
