Match #1: Singles Match
Eddie Edwards vs. Brian Kendrick w/ Austin Aries
If Edwards wins, he gets a rematch against Aries at SuperCard II
Edwards is looking to get revenge on Brian Kendrick for the assault he suffered two weeks ago when Kendrick made his return to Ring of Honor. The commentary team hype this match as Edwards’ only chance to get another shot at Austin Aries as long as he gets through Kendrick first. This match is stiff enough to make anyone at home wince as both men are very comfortable working a harder hitting style than one may be used to in a non-hardcore match. Edwards is quick and persistent in his attempts to even the score with his opponent, but Kendrick is no slouch either, doing a great job of keeping himself in the match as well. Ultimately, Kendrick has the advantage with the distraction of Austin Aries at ringside to make sure the tide stays in Kendrick’s favour. The end of the match comes when Aries, seeing Kendrick in trouble, hops on the mat to try and distract the referee, but eats a hard shot from a fed up Edwards for his troubles. Enraged and embarrassed, Aries slides back in to the ring and begins to unload on Eddie Edwards as the referee call the bell, ending this match in a DQ!
Winner: Eddie Edwards by disqualification @ 10:54.
Aries and Kendrick continue to beat down on Edwards, who tries desperately to fight back, but is easily outmatched by his two opponents. Wanting to inflict as much damage as possible on his rival, Aries demands Kendrick grab the steel steps and bring them in to the ring, to which Kendrick obliges. Once back in the ring with the steel steps now set up in the centre, Aries grabs Edwards and goes for the Brainbuster on the steps, but before he can…..
IT’S DAVEY RICHARDS! Richards makes a beeline down to the ring with a steel chair in his hand and starts swinging wildly as he enters the ring, absolutely leveling Brian Kendrick with a hard chair shot that sends him crashing down to the mat and rolling out of the ring to the floor. Seeing his new adversary down, Aries looks at the chair wielding Richards and elects to retreat from the ring before he could suffer the same fate as Brian Kendrick.
Richards tends to his longtime friend Eddie Edwards as Aries retreats up the ramp in both shock and anger. Richards then take a microphone from ringside and begins to tell Aries that due to his interference and the DQ finish, Eddie Edwards is going to get his shot against Aries next week at SuperCard II! Richards then looks at Aries and proposes a change to the match. Richards says that with Edwards’ approval, he wants to make it Aries and Brian Kendrick vs. The American Wolves! Still somewhat dazed and hurt, Edwards barely manages to muster out his approval of the match as Aries scowls in anger seeing the new wrench in his plans to eliminate Eddie Edwards.

We head backstage to see RoH correspondent, Alicia Atout joining us live via satellite from her home in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Her guest at this time is Number #1 Contender for the RoH World Heavyweight Championship, Keith Lee. Lee talks with Alicia about his training and preparation heading in to next week’s SuperCard II title match. He then mentions that tonight he will team with the Motor City Machine Guns as they take on Age of the Fall in a 6-man tag match and says that he hopes Seth Rollins is watching closely tonight as he plans on using the rest of AoF to demonstrate what is going to happen next week. Alicia wishes Keith Lee good luck in his match tonight as the feed cuts out and we head back to the ring for our next match.

Match #2: Singles Match
Matt Cross vs. Mike Bennett
Winner Secures Final Open Spot in the Pure Championship Gauntlet at SuperCard II
A former staple on RoH Wrestling, Mike Bennett is making his first appearance for the promotion since the COVID-19 shutdown as he looks to get himself in to the final open spot for the Pure Championship Gauntlet match at next week’s SuperCard II. His opponent, the always ready and incredibly speedy Matt Cross has other plans though as he’s bringing his A-game tonight! Not one to have many matches since coming to Ring of Honor, Cross has always been made to look exceptionally well in his appearances and this is no difference. Cross gives Bennett the ultimate challenge as a frustrated Mike Bennett is not too pleased with Cross’ ability to hang with him in the ring. This match would have had a live audience cheering right up until the end, which finished with Mike Bennett using an illegal eye poke that was somehow missed by the referee to take advantage of the match, and put Cross away with the Power of Love for the victory.
Winner: Mike Bennett by pinfall @ 12:32
After the match, Bennett demands a microphone from ringside. He doesn’t say too much, but between heavy breaths guarantees the RoH audience watching at home that next week he will become the first ever Ring of Honor Pure Champion. Short and sweet, Bennet drops the mic and leaves the ring as we head to our first commercial break of the evening.

We return from commercial to the music of RoH Owner, Eric Bischoff.
Bischoff makes his way down to the ring and grabs a microphone. He says that a few weeks ago, an angry Michael Elgin slammed down the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship in protest of some falsely reported rumours and has since confirmed that he had vacated his half of the titles. Bischoff says he and Jeff Jarrett had both tried to speak to Elgin regarding the situation, but have been unable to get a hold of him and thus he is now forced to make a decision regarding the status of the belts. Bischoff says that unfortunately with half of the champions no longer willing to defend his title, he has no choice but to vacate the RoH Tag Team Championship!
Jay Lethal is quick to come rushing out from the back and demands Eric hold on before speaking any further. Lethal tells Bischoff that neither he nor Jeff Jarrett had ever tried to contact him to see where his stance was, and Lethal proclaims that he’s said on numerous occasions he would happily defend the titles alone if he needed to. Bischoff tell Lethal that it is a two-man title and unfortunately his partner has let him down. Bischoff asks for Lethal to hand over his half of the championships, but Lethal refuses. Angered, Bischoff threatens to suspend Lethal if he does not comply with his order, but Lethal again refuses. Angered Lethal proclaims that this is an example of white abuse of authority over a complying black man. Lethal says we have protests all over the world for the right to have fair and just treatment of black people, and here is another example of black success being shut down. Bischoff, not knowing how to react, assures Lethal that is not even close to being the case and offers him a suitable compromise. He tells Lethal that he has until SuperCard II to find a suitable replacement partner or else the titles will be vacated without a fuss. Lethal takes a moment, before he agrees and leaves, still with his tag title belt around his waist as we head backstage.

We head to the back to see Drew Gulak stretching backstage, getting ready for his Main Event match against Kurt Angle later tonight. Suddenly, Gulak stops stretching as the camera pans over to see Steve Corino standing mere feet away from Gulak.
Gulak quickly stiffens up, ready for a potential confrontation as the last time Corino was seen on RoH television, he was removed from his commentary position for attacking Drew Gulak and Mike Bennett in defense of his friend Kevin Owens. Corino however doesn’t attack Gulak. Instead he just smiles, pats him on the shoulder and walks off without saying a word. Gulak’s eyes follow Corino until he is out of view before getting back to stretching as we head back to ringside for more wrestling action.

Match #3: 6-Man Tag Team Match
Age of the Fall (Jimmy Jacobs, Brodie Lee & Erick Rowan) vs. Keith Lee & Motor City Machine Guns
Keith Lee and the Motor City Machine Guns are each looking to pick up a big victory over their SuperCard II opponents in this match as they take on 3/4 of Age of the Fall. The match is highly entertaining for the 15+ minutes it was given, with the Machine Guns looking like a completely rejuvenated team, as they managed to bring the hurt to their much larger opponents at times in this match. Jimmy Jacobs spent most of the time on the apron in this one, tagging in only when he felt like he could get some offense in uninterrupted. Keith Lee played they hero is this one, as he was the only man that would have been able to back off Rowan and Brodie Lee when they tried to get involved in the action at time were they weren’t the legal man. The end of this match had somewhat of a scare to it, as RoH Champion, Seth Rollins made his way down to the ring to distract Keith Lee as he was looking to put away Erick Rowan. Lee charges towards Rollins on the apron, but suddenly falls down screaming in pain as his left knee seems to buckle under his weight, much to the shock of everyone else in the match. Lee is able to tag out to Chris Sabin before rolling out of the ring to be looked at by the paramedics at ringside and Sabin is quickly disposed of by Brodie Lee’s Discuss Lariat for the pinfall victory, giving Age of the Fall the edge heading in to SuperCard II.
Winners: Age of the Fall by pinfall @ 16:41.
Paramedics are shown speaking to Lee on the outside about the knee injury he’s apparently just sustained in this match. Lee looks to be in a ton of discomfort as Tony Schiavone and Taz both comment that this appears to be a legitimate injury and question if this will affect his status for next week’s scheduled title match with Seth Rollins. The camera pans of the injured Keith Lee, and over to the smiling Seth Rollins, as the Champion stands on the entrance ramp, clearly happy with the misfortune of his opponent as we head to our final commercial break of the evening.

Main Event: Singles Match
Drew Gulak vs. Kurt Angle
This match was an instant classic! A 20-minute pure wrestling match that would have anyone on the edge of their seat and will have definitely done wonders in terms of building up Drew Gulak’s star power on the RoH roster moving in to next week’s SuperCard II. Gulak who has always been billed as a cowardly heel wrestled a much cleaner match than expected as both superstars chose to show off a much more exciting wrestling match as opposed to playing the typical heel vs. face match that is constant in professional wrestling. There were submission holds galore for both men as they each took their time to show off their technical wrestling abilities while the commentary team gushed over how this very well may be the “Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.” Like any great match, it needed to come to an end at some point, and for this one, it ends just after the 20-minute mark with Drew Gulak tapping out to the Ankle Lock.
Winner: Kurt Angle by submission @ 20:12
Immediately following the end of the match, Kurt Angle is jumped by Ken Kennedy who attacks Angle so quickly, he hadn’t even been able to let go of his submission hold on Drew Gulak. Kennedy continues to beat down on Kurt Angle, but Angle is able to wrestling Kennedy down to the ground, and level him with some stiff right hands of his own as RoH backstage personnel and Black x Brave security come rushing down to the ring to try and separate these two superstars. The RoH staff succeed in getting in between both Angle and Kennedy, but only momentarily as Angle manages to break free and rushes towards Kennedy, diving in to the group of men who were desperately trying to hold him back as he manages to land a few more shots, before being grabbed again. Angle is dragged out of the ring and rushed to the back as Kennedy stands in the ring still surround by RoH personnel who wait for Angle to be taken backstage before beginning to lead Kennedy out of the arena as well. Kennedy manages to shove one of the security guard off of him and breaks free as he heads up the entrance ramp. Just then, Kurt Angle is seen charging from the back once again and leaps off the stage with a diving Senton that wipes out Kennedy on the floor!
Security once again rush in to separate both men as Tony Schiavone and Taz explain that we have to go off the air, and remind everyone that SuperCard II is next week!
