INTERNATIONAL PRO WRESTLING
presents
"NO REMORSE"
05/10/2020
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
The show opens with a video recap of the first ever event in IPW history, "Path to Glory", last month, and all of the chaos that transpired on that night. The opening match between RVD and Dolph Ziggler; the brawl between Finlay and New Jack; the amazing four-way dance that involved Bandido, Zack Sabre Jr., Isaiah Scott, and the eventual winner Low Ki; and, the vicious and spectacular main event between wild man Sabu and wrestling hero Jushin "Thunder" Liger.
We then head to the commentary table, where we once again have "The Professor" Mike Tenay on the play-by-play, and tonight he is joined by the recently released free agent, The Velveteen Dream, as his special guest color commentator for the evening!
Mike Tenay welcomes everybody to "No Remorse", the second offering from the IPW faithful. The Velveteen Dream says "you're welcome" to Mike Tenay unprompted for joining him, because this show just went from a ragtag production to a dream come true! He says everyone is lucky to be here to see him tonight, and all of these fans are truly blessed to have The Dream's expert, unique, unmatched analysis for the evening! Mike Tenay finally thanks Dream sarcastically, noting his "modesty" being so appreciated, before running down some of the bigger bouts currently scheduled for this event.
Tenay is ecstatic to bring up the fact that Lance Storm is making his IPW debut tonight, teaming with Zack Sabre Jr. tonight to take on the unlikely and impromptu team of undeniable superstars in Jushin Liger and Rob Van Dam! He then goes on to mention we will be seeing a rematch between Fit Finlay and New Jack, this time in a Falls Count Anywhere match! He then says tonight they will start the show with fast paced action, as Japanese star CIMA teams with the hard hitting, cold blooded Low Ki to take on Mexican Lucha Libre stars, Bandido and Dragon Lee!
TAG TEAM MATCH
CIMA & Low Ki vs. Bandido & Dragon Lee
CIMA and Ki would really play up the heel tactics, mocking and trying to slow down Bandido and Lee. Bandido showed some amazing strength in this match, catching CIMA coming out of the air at one point and completely throwing him out of the ring. Dragon Lee and Ki would have some great striking exchanges that had the crowd going, but it would eventually end in Ki delivering the Ki Crusher to get the win.
WINNERS BY PINFALL: CIMA & LOW KI
Ki, showing the same aggressive streak he did at "Path to Glory", would try to attack Lee after the match, once again using his tie to tie up Lee and stomp him. However, Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, the man on the receiving end of Ki's fury last month, would make his way out and attack Low Ki, sending him out of the ring! Ki looks furious on the outside, huffing and puffing. Dream notes on the commentary that Ki might need a Xanax or something, as he looks like he's about to have a stroke.
The next segment went backstage, where we see Lance Storm approaching Zack Sabre Jr. Zack gives him an "Oi mate" type of greeting, and Storm has a stoic, serious look on his face, ready to acquainted himself with ZSJ. Storm says he'd "like to be serious for a minute," before saying that for months, years, he had been buried down the card and under appreciated everywhere he has gone. He says he knows Zack has felt that same frustration over the years, and he chose him specifically to be his partner tonight knowing damn well he is one of the best up and coming technical wrestlers in the world.
Storm says tonight they face two world class athletes, but they represent everything he wants to eradicate in this business. Storm says he is a serious competitor, he doesn't need a stupid mask or frilly singlets to get people's attention. He says Liger and especially Rob Van Dam are ego maniacs, and tonight, he tells Sabre they need to remind them what wrestling is really all about. Sabre says he likes the cut of Storm and he reckons they can stretch 'em and remind 'em it's what goes on on that mat and between the ropes that really matters.
Storm says that is exactly what he wanted to hear, and the two shake hands.
Next out to the ring is Dolph Ziggler, and he's got a microphone in hand as the fans are booing and chanting many slurs his way. Dolph is soaking it in, playing it up for a full minute in the center of the ring before speaking. Ziggler says these people don't deserve to see him, and yet he will gladly take their life savings they had to spend on a ticket to stand in front of the ingrates of Philadelphia! Dream of commentary had to agree, stating this crowd is shabby and classless to boo a star the caliber of Ziggler.
Ziggler says he is the most talented, most original, and best looking star to ever grace a Philadelphia wrestling ring, and they should all get on their knees, pucker up... and kiss his perfectly toned ass! This leads to more unflattering chants for Ziggler, as the crowd is being whipped up into a frenzy now. Ziggler says at "Path to Glory," one of the greatest farces in wrestling history took place! He says Rob Van Dam came out and attacked an unarmed man with weapons, and says he wasn't even prepared to fight! He says, for all intents and purposes, Rob Van Dam sucker punched him, and he doesn't deserve to be in ring, and he couldn't lace his boots on his best night!
Rob Van Dam chants are echoing loud in the arena now.
Ziggler says tonight, he's ready for a fight, and he's ready to prove he can out tough any guy in the back... anybody looking for a fight, they'd better be ready to be SHOWN UP BY "THE SHOW OFF"!
From the crowd comes practically a blur, and that blur is a man standing behind Ziggler pointing to the sky...
IT'S SABU!
IT'S "THE HOMICIDAL, SUICIDAL, GENOCIDAL MANIAC"! The Dream lets out a "LOOK OUT!" and Ziggler slowly turns as the crowd roars, knowing he probably just put his foot in his mouth again. And from there, Sabu attacks and a referee hits the ring; the match is on!
SINGLES MATCH
"The Show Off" Dolph Ziggler vs. Sabu
Sabu tries to whipping Ziggler, but Ziggler dips out of the ring and takes a walk around the outside, laughing and pointing at his head. Sabu is quick to run and grab the top rope, flinging himself out right on top of Ziggler and the fans are chanting for Sabu! Sabu continues laying into Ziggler with punches and kicks before grabbing a table from under the ring. Ziggler manages to land a low blow on Sabu before grabbing a chair and smashing him over the head and laying him out on the table. Ziggler stumbles before hopping up on the apron and heading to the top turnbuckle...
FLYING ELBOWDROP THROUGH THE TABLE! THE FANS ARE CHANTING "HOLY SHIT!' AS BOTH MEN ARE LAYING IN DEBRIS!
Ziggler grabs Sabu by the hair and rolls him back into the ring. Ziggler grabs the chair and slides into ring with it. Ziggler taunts the fans and mocks Sabu before lifting the chair in the hair. Sabu recovers rapidly, however, and rushes Ziggler, choking him with both hands, causing him to drop the chair. Sabu then whips Ziggler and delivers a Leg Lariat. Sabu then grabs the chair and Leg Drops it onto Ziggler's head and then goes for a cover, but only a two count.
Ziggler is still on the mat, writhing in pain. Sabu unfolds the chair, setting it up and pointing to the sky, getting the crowd worked up again. Sabu then runs off the ropes and springboards off the chair, before bouncing off the ropes, but ZIGGLER IS BACK UP! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK TO SABU, MID-AIR, MID-MOONSAULT, OH MY GOD!
Sabu took that kick to the face, and Ziggler is down for a moment, but he gets to Sabu's body as quick as he can, going for the cover as the crowd is buzzing, not believing what they just saw. ONE... TWO... THRE- NO! NO! Sabu has kicked out! Ziggler can't believe it, hopping up, stomping Sabu and then shoving the referee into the buckles. Ziggler is screaming at the referee, slapping his hand to show him how to count, as Sabu is trying to pick himself up off of the mat.
Ziggler turns and stomps, motioning for Sabu to get up. Sabu manages to get to his feet and Dolph rushes him from behind, looking for the Zig Zag, but Sabu ducks it. Ziggler stumbles and Sabu rushes him, grabbing him by the head and kicking off the chair to hit a version of a Swinging DDT! Ziggler is hurting, stumbling into the corner. Sabu grabs the chair quickly, before running to the opposite corner and then back... AIR SABU! Ziggler has been crushed into the buckles and falls to the mat!
Sabu then grabs the chair and heads to the top rope with it... Ziggler isn't moving...
... ARABIAN SKULL CRUSHER!
The fans are going nuts as Ziggler has been crushed into the canvas with the Somersalt Chair Assisted Leg Drop, and Sabu pins him... ONE... TWO... THREE! IT'S OVER!
WINNER BY PINFALL: SABU
Sabu wins, pointing and leaving through the crowd to big cheers. Ziggler eventually gets to his feet and actually gets a decent ovation from half of the crowd for the performance he put on and the punishment he took once again tonight.
We go backstage, where we see interviewer for the evening, Jeremy Borash, standing in with "The Whole F'N Show" Rob Van Dam as he hangs with his manager, Bill Alfonso. Jeremy Borash asks them about their thoughts on the tag team main event tonight. Bill Alfonso says,"Daddy, that's the only place RVD belongs! The main event, prime time, every time, baby, he's the best and the fans and everybody else knows it!" before blowing his whistle incessantly. Borash asks Van Dam specifically how he feels teaming with a partner the caliber of Jushin "Thunder" Liger.
RVD says, "Jushin Liger should be happy to be teaming with 'Mr. Pay-Per-View', 'Mr. Monday Night', "The Whole Fuckin' Show' Rob Van Dam. As soon as I got to this promotion, every knew, dude, I was going to be the one putting asses in seats. And then at 'Path to Glory', you got Jushin Liger and my brother from a different mother, Sabu, main eventing, when everybody knows it should have been me! And there I was, opening the show, and I'm thinking, like, what? What the Hell is going on? And so I realized I needed my manager..." whistle blowing from Alfonso, "To get his ass in here and make sure I'm getting the spotlight I deserve. It should be my face on the posters, my name on the marquee, and me closing out the shows night in and night out, and I've got Fonzy here making sure that happens and watching my back. To answer your question, Jeremy, Jushin Liger doesn't have any business in a main event unless I am in it, and now that he's my partner, he had better just stay out of the way, man, and let me do what I do, and that's steal the fuckin' show and send these people home happy because I'm ROB... VAN... DAM," thumb pose, as you might imagine, with more whistling, "... and I'm the best damn wrestler in IPW."

Mike Tenay says RVD sounds very confidant but it doesn't seem like he is going into this match with a team first mentality, which might be a problem considering the clear communication we saw from Storm and Sabre. Velveteen Dream says The Dream thinks Rob Van Dam has the right mentality, and when you are a star, you've got to shine like a star, and sometimes everybody else burns out when they get caught up in that brilliance. Dream says he knows all about that, and he says Tenay probably does right now as well sitting next to him.
SINGLES MATCH
Buff Bagwell vs. 2 Cold Scorpio
Just like at "Path to Glory", Bagwell came out and mocked 2 Cold Scorpio. He told Scorpio he couldn't hang with him and his superior physique and he should be ashamed of himself for not being as pretty as Buff! Well, after a couple of quick moves early and mocking Scorpio, things turned bad for Buff. Scorpio would hit a headscissors, followed by a Superkick to send Bagwell to the outside. Bagwell is stumbling, looking out of it. Tenay notes that these two after former tag team partners, and that may be why we see Scorpio especially outraged by Bagwell's disrespect. Scorpio lights up the crowd with a high impact Corkscrew Plancha to the outside, and he's looking fired up! Scorpio sends Bagwell into the ring and hits a Slingshout Somersalt Leg Drop, going for the cover but only a two count! Scorpio looks like he might be going for another Superkick, but Bagwell pulls the referee into the way! Scorpio stops just short of kicking him and Buff throws him out of the way and kicks Scorpio low! Buff then delivers a Double Arm DDT! Buff is laughing obnoxiously, grabbing the camera and saying Scorpio's face just got uglier after that, before heading to the middle turnbuckle... OH! Scorpio catches him with a Dropkick coming off the middle rope, looking for the Buff Blockbuster! The referee is up and Buff is stumbling, right into a Small Package! One, two, three, Scorpio got him!
WINNER BY PINFALL: 2 COLD SCORPIO
Scorpio is ecstatic, jumping up and celebrating on the second rope! Bagwell is up, slapping the mat and cursing! Bagwell looks like he wants to charge Scorpio, but Scorpio hops off the rope and puts up his fists, shocking Bagwell and sending him backwards and out of the ring as the fans laugh and cheer for Scorpio and boo Bagwell right out of the ringside area!
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Pitbulls: Kid Kash & Jamie Noble vs. The Super Alliance: The Hurricane & Nova
This was a classic battle of heel and face, as both teams worked this pretty straight forward from that formula. Kash and Noble just tried to be nasty, cut off the ring, and demoralize their squeaky clean, upstanding opponents. Hurricane and Nova looked more in sync this show than the last, and seemed to be gelling well with their Superhero gimmicks coming together. After a hot tag to The Hurricane by Nova leads to Hurricane cleaning house, and The Super Alliance looking to put away Noble in the ring, out to the ring comes Tempest to the ring apron! Nova turns his attention to Tempest, who is trying to get into the ring, along with the referee. Into the ring comes Mortis, who quickly turns The Hurricane and drops him with The Flatliner! Mortis leaves the ring as the fans boo and Kid Kash is back in to attack Nova from behind and send him out of the ring! Noble has Hurricane's leg hooked on the mat as the referee turns, and the referee makes the three count.
WINNERS BY PINFALL: THE PITBULLS
After the match, Mortis and Tempest look very satisfied on the stage, as Hurricane and Nova stare them down.
New Jack gets on the microphone before the match saying he's enjoying the opportunity to whip this Irish cracker again, and this time he's going to take him out for good! Finlay makes his way out with a police baton and a chain, and he looks more ready than ever for battle.
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
"The Belfast Bruiser" Fit Finlay vs. New Jack
These two absolutely destroy each other again with a wild brawl that sees them hitting each with anything and everything not nailed down. As promised, this match went into the fans and all over the outside, and the fans got to see the blood shed and carnage up close and personal. These two would manage to get to the balcony, where Finlay would wrap his chain around New Jack's throat and then tried to THROW HIM OFF THE BALCONY BY HIS NECK! The referee would stop this, as New Jack was dangling over the edge, potentially being choked to death or dropped to his ultimate peril, and the referee would call it as officials broke up with this wild scene, the fans in awe of the violence, as were the commentators.
WINNER BY REFEREE STOPPAGE: FIT FINLAY
New Jack is trying to attack Finlay after the fact, and anybody else in his way, as Finlay continues to goad him and fight as well, yelling, "YOU'RE GONNA TAKE ME OUT, BOY!? YOU WANNA DIE, LAD!?" And this just came across as very real animosity that really had these fans wanting to see these two rip into each other again!
SINGLES MATCH
Isaiah "Swerve" Scott vs. Rush
This match promised to be a good, athletic wrestling match, compared to the gory brawl we just witnessed between Finlay and New Jack. Rush is quite a bit bigger than Scott and seemed to be a lot harder hitting, but it was really his attitude and charisma that continues to impress the fans. Rush gets the reactions he wants to get, and is a true professional. Isaiah Scott is very creative, has a lot of charisma himself, and was a good foe for Rush, as these two played to each other's strengths and had the people wondering who would come out on top. It looked like "Swerve" was going to be going over, as Rush was down and Scott was looking for his Swerve Stomp, when out from the back comes the assassin Low Ki, who was scorned by Scott early in the night. Ki rushes and delivers a Front Dropkick straight to his face, sending Scott flying to the outside and crashing into the guardrail, and the fans are booing as the referee throws out the match.
NO CONTEST
Low Ki then goes to the top turnbuckle and flies to the outside, DOUBLE STOMPING ISAIAH SCOTT INTO OBLIVION! Ki takes a moment to absorb the negativity of the crowd, looking down at Scott, who he just tried to stomp to death, and we all know this is far from over.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Jushin "Thunder" Liger & "The Whole F'N Show" Rob Van Dam w/ Bill Alfonso vs. Lance Storm & Zack Sabre Jr.
Rob Van Dam was clearly full of himself to start, and would start the match off against a man he's faced many times, Lance Storm. These two would trade holds on the mat for a minute, with Van Dam getting the better of it and then taking time to pose, doing his double thumb taunt to a roaring crowd. Storm shakes it off and tells RVD to bring it. They take it back to the mat, and after a very quick back and forth, it's Storm who takes RVD's back and spins on him, paint brushing the back of his head and popping up, holding up both fists as the fans cheer and chant Storm's name.
Storm tags out to Sabre. Liger is looking for the tag, but RVD doesn't want any part of it. RVD and Sabre lock up, and RVD lays into Sabre with a series of kicks, followed by a legsweep. RVD tries for a Standing Moonsault, but Sabre moves and manages to grab Van Dam's arm and roll him into a Cross Armbar! RVD cries out and gets his foot on the ropes to break. RVD is frustrated, looking to the crowd and wringing out his shoulder. RVD tries to lock up with Sabre again, and Sabre goes after the arm once more. They got back and forth, and RVD breaks out and tries for a High Roundhouse, but Sabre ducks it and starts laying into RVD with leg kicks.
RVD grabs a head lock, but Sabre counters into a Surfboard Stretch. RVD is in a lot of pain, making it to the ropes, and Liger takes it upon himself to tag himself in while RVD's arms are getting stretched behind his back, making the fans go nuts, causing RVD to get mad and Bill Alfonso is jumping and yelling at Liger to know his place!
Now Liger is in and he and Sabre have a great back and forth of the mat. These two are very tough on each other, fighting, slapping, elbowing, just really laying it on each other through holds to try to get the advantage. Liger is able to Deadlift and slam Sabre onto the mat, before whipping him and smashing him with a Rolling Kick in the corner. Liger then grabbed him and delivered a Reverse Powerbomb, going for the pin but only getting a two, which Sabre quickly turned and countered into a Cross Armbar, causing Liger to have to get to the ropes.
Sabre lets go of the hold and rolls to his corner, where he tags Lance Storm, and the fans are giving a big pop now for the prospect of Storm and Liger going at it. Storm waits to enter the ring, and does so once Liger is standing with a Springboard Dropkick. RVD doesn't look particularly interested as Storm makes the cover, getting a two count. Storm stays on Liger, stomping, chopping and punching him before hitting a Delayed Vertical Suplex, floating over for the pinfall. Rob Van Dam still doesn't seem like he's engaged, as he is clearly pissed off with Liger.
Storm continues to work over Liger on the mat, and Liger is looking for a tag. RVD doesn't seem interested, barely holding out his hand as Fonzy yells at Liger, telling him to work harder! Storm tags out to Sabre, who stomps and kicks Liger, and ties him back up on the mat. Liger would eventually make a comeback against Sabre, delivering a Brainbuster for a two count. Liger has seemingly lost faith in RVD and heads up top, but this is the point RVD decides to tag himself in, doing so and then SHOVING LIGER OFF THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR!
The fans are giving RVD a pretty poor reaction for this, as RVD hops up to the top turnbuckle and he's thinking Five Star Frog Splash. RVD flies off the top, but Sabre turns on the mat and he's captured RVD into a Triangle Choke! Van Dam is trying to reach for the ropes with his legs, but Sabre lets go of the Triangle and turns RVD's body with his legs and applies a very deep Cross Armbar! RVD is in a lot of trouble and Liger is not looking like he's coming to save him.
RVD TAPS OUT TO SABRE! HE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! SABRE HAS WON THE MATCH FOR HIS TEAM!
WINNERS BY SUBMISSION: LANCE STORM & ZACK SABRE JR.
RVD rolls out of the ring and is consoled by Bill Alfonso, and they are yelling at Liger, who waves them off and leaves the ringside area. Storm and Sabre are standing tall in the ring, with Storm lifting Sabre's arm in victory, putting over the younger star. This is when we get another shocker of a debut, as the music hits and to the stage comes none other than...
WILLIAM REGAL!
William Regal is on the stage, and he has a microphone. He lets the ovation die down, which is palpable, and addresses the wrestlers in the ring. "First of all, let me say, congratulations Zack... Lance... you beat one of the best wrestlers in the business tonight, and it only took his partner helping you out to do it. And I'm talking about that twat Rob Van Dam, who doesn't deserve to even don a pair of tights, let alone main event a show. And yet, boys and girls, isn't that the sad world we are living in today? You poor, miserable cows you would cheer a man like Rob Van Dam and make him think he belongs in a wrestling ring, pay him main event money... while myself, a man's man and a true gentleman, a Lord in that ring in every imaginable way, has to stand by the wayside wondering when I will get the call to compete.
"Lance Storm, you were brought in with pomp and circumstance, touted for these sheep to cheer and admire. You talked about great technical wrestling, about how you and that young lad were going to bring it back to the fore front here tonight. And I just have to wonder what makes you think you're such a great wrestler in the first place that you should be the one taking up that cause for your own. And to choose Zack Sabre as your partner... why, that should have been me! And you have robbed me of that, and what surely would have been an even more convincing victory. But now, next month at 'Break Out', I am going to make it my personal mission to break you, Lance Storm, and show why I am the true standard barer of wrestling as a sport. And you will be humbled before your Lord."
Storm gets on the middle rope and says he accepts, motioning for Regal to come say it to his face right now, and the show goes off the air on a close up shot of Regal looking besmirched as the fans cheer.
