Friday, March 6th, 2020
Toronto, Ontario Canada
Announcers: Mauro Ranallo, Steve Corino & Tazz
Cue the music! Cue the pyro! A very special SuperCard episode RoH Wrestling is live on the air! We are welcomed by the commentary team who go over tonight’s card and their predictions before mentioning the two new members of RoH’s broadcast team who will also be making their debuts tonight as Steve Corino is finally getting a break from performing triple duty in RoH now that Alicia Atout and Justin Roberts have joined the fray. Speaking of Justin Roberts, he’s already standing in the ring as we prepare to kick the evening off with our first match.
Match #1: 6-Man Tag Team Match
Best Friends & Orange Cassidy vs. Bullet Club (Phantasmo, Takahashi & Ishimori) w/Chase Owens
Owens is acting as manager for this match as this RoH incarnation of Bullet Club’s apparent leader is allowing the rest of his stablemates to showcase their abilities tonight. A quick paced match as Chuck Taylor and Trent Barretta can both work the Japanese style exceptionally well, especially Trent who has a long history in Japan which helped keep up the pace in this match. Barretta and Taylor both get more offense in than a usual match for them here in RoH, but it’s the hot tag to Orange Cassidy which steals the show. Cassidy comes in to the ring and begins to work over Taiji Ishimori with a barrage of “quick” kicks that cause the crowd to riot!
Cassidy speeds up and gets a number of offensive moves in before being cut off by El Phantasmo who locks him to the Gojira Clutch for the victory.
Winners: Bullet Club by submission @ 12:53
Owens enters the ring to celebrate his team’s victorious debut as the 4 members of Bullet Club then begin to circle Best Friends and Orange Cassidy, who has slowly gotten back up to his feet. Instead of attacking them as expected, Owens offers Chuck Taylor his hand as a show of respect which Taylor accepts as the men all congratulate each other on a hard fought opening contest.

We head backstage to new RoH interviewer, Alicia Atout! Alicia is joined backstage by Austin Aries and Scarlett Bordeaux for her first official RoH interview. Alicia is barely able to get a word is as a jealous Scarlett interrupts her before she’s even able to ask her first question. Bordeaux then grabs the microphone out of Alicia’s hand and passes it over to Austin Aries who begins to rant about being left up tonight’s SuperCard. Aries mentions how he’s been on quite the winning streak since dealing with his “Brian Kendrick Problem”, but to the surprise of no one he has been over looked again. Aries vows to get the attention of RoH management one way or another. Speaking of getting attention, Aries notices Scarlett is staring off in the distance with a smitten look on her face. Aries looks over to see what his girlfriend is looking at, and the camera follows to show Eddie Edwards.
Edwards notices Aries and Scarlett staring off in his direction and simply says “Hey” to then before walking off as Scarlett follows him with her eyes. Annoyed, Aries storms off with a confused Scarlett following him as we head back to ringside.

Match #2: Singles Match – No Time Limit
Michael Bennett w/ Drew Gulak vs. Kevin Owens (c)
Ring of Honor Television Championship
Owens pounces on Bennett as soon as the bell rings, anxious to get his hands on the man who has been ducking him and sneak attacking him for the past couple of weeks. Owens continues to unload on Bennett who tries desperately to retreat, but is unable to get away from KO’s barrage until he manages to sneak a thumb to the eye of Owens. Bennett then takes control of the match, taking it to the outside of the ring where Bennett begins to work over Owens. Bennett drags Owens over to the announce table where he proceeds to bash KO’s head off the table while hurling insults at KO’s longtime friend and mentor Steve Corino. Annoyed by Bennett’s words, Corino stands up, but is pushed back down to his seat by Drew Gulak as Bennett rolls Owens back in to the ring. Bennett continues to work over KO in the ring, until Owens counters and Irish Whip and plants Bennet down with a Back Body Drop. With Owens now firmly in control, Gulak hops on the apron hoping to distract Owens, but his attempt fails as Corino gets up from the announce booth and rips Gulak off the apron before dropping him with a hard right hand to the jaw. This catches the eye of Mike Bennett just long enough to allow Owens to hit the KO Stunner and cover him for the 3 count, retaining his Television Championship.
Winner & STIIIIIILLLLL RoH Television Champion: Kevin Owens by pinfall @ 15:07.
Owens celebrates in the ring with Corino as we fade out to our first commercial break of the evening.
***COMMERCIAL***
We return from commercial break as the commentary team inform us that Steve Corino has been removed from the commentary booth and escorted out of the arena after the events of the previous match as Mauro Ranallo and Tazz will now be calling the rest of the action by themselves.
The music of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart hits the loud speaker and the RoH crowd instantly erupts as the Canadian Wrestling Legend makes his way to the ring.
Neidhart takes a microphone and tells the RoH audience how thrilled he is to be back in a wrestling ring in Canada. Anvil then informs the RoH crowd that the rumors are true, and late last week he signed with Ring of Honor Wrestling. He then informs that crowd, that he requested some time tonight to come out to the ring and announce in front of everyone that he’s decided to hang up his wrestling boots and has joined Ring of Honor in a non-wrestling role. The crowd boo’s in disapproval of Anvil announcement chanting “One More Match” and “Don’t Retire” to which Anvil laughs before explain that at this point in his career it’s better for him to step aside and give back to the younger generation of wrestlers.
The music of The Kingdom plays from the arena speakers and out comes Matt Taven, flanked as always by TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia. Taven comments on how long it’s been since he’s been on a RoH show, before pointing out that yet another “washed up” wrestler comes to RoH and takes up time on that show that should have been given to some of the real stars in the company. The Kingdom circle around Neidhart as Taven tells him that if he’s coming here to waste time and announce a retirement, the least they can do is help him go out in style. The Kingdom close in on Neidhart who stops them by raising the microphone back up to his lips. He tells Taven that if they were to let him finish, he was going to say the younger generation he was referring to, were his new students as he’s officially secured himself an RoH managers license.
Just then, the music of The Hart Dynasty begins to play as out comes Davey Boy Smith Jr., Brian Pillman, Jr. and the son-in-law of Anvil himself, Tyson Kidd! The 3 men rush in to the ring, coming to the aid of The Kingdom before they could lay a hand on Anvil, and cause them to retreat out of the ring and up the ramp as the commentary team comments on yet another surprise appearance they’ve had tonight.

We head backstage to the locker room of Age of the Fall, where Seth Rollins is looking exceptionally heated. Rollins begins to run his team through the wood chipper for not knowing Angle and Kennedy’s partners were Edge and Christian. Jimmy Jacobs tries to calm down Rollins, but Seth shoves him aside in frustration which draws a concerned look from Brodie Lee. Seeing the look on Lee’s face, Rollins realizes the error of his ways and apologizes to his “brother”, giving him a hug before changing his tune and trying to rally up the troops for tonight’s Main Event match. Rollins reminds everyone to stick to the game plan, before saying that if they lose tonight, there’s going to be some serious changes for Age of the Fall next week.

Match #3: Singles Match
Keith Lee vs. Sheamus
A match so nice we get to see it twice! Lee and Sheamus were so impressive in their impromptu Main Event match 2 weeks ago on RoH Wrestling that they get a chance to do it all over again tonight, and this match was everything we expected and more! An easy match of the night candidate for many of us as Sheamus and Lee pulled out all the stops in this one, each trying to get a victory over the other. A huge spot in this match, as Lee is able to get Sheamus down with the Spirit Bomb, but Sheamus manages to just kick out at 2!
Trying to wear down Sheamus, who battles back with everything he’s got, Lee goes for yet another Spirit Bomb, but Sheamus is able to slide down Lee’s back and catch him as he turns around with a Brogue Kick, pinning Sheamus to take the rematch between the two in an incredible bout!
Winner: Sheamus by pinfall @ 16:23

Match #4: Tag Team Match
Unchained Honor vs. Motor City Machine Guns (c)
Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship
Both teams shake hands before the match as a show of respect and an ode to the original RoH days before the start of this match. Another great showing by arguable the top two tag teams in Ring of Honor today, which is saying a lot for Elgin and Lethal as this is only their 5th match together as a team. The Champions take the brunt of the punishment early as Elgin is able to overpower both Sabin and Shelley, but the veteran tag team show why they are the champions by using great teamwork to battle back into control and maintain it with frequent tags, something Lethal and Elgin are yet to have mastered fully in their short time together. The finish of this match is surrounded by controversy, as Alex Shelly is sent over the top rope to the floor, clipping the referee’s face with his foot, which dazes the official enough for Jay Lethal to hit Chris Sabin with a low blow which silences the unexpected crowd. Elgin quickly grabs Sabin and plants him down with an Elgin Bomb as the referee comes to and counts the pinfall. We have new tag team Champions!
Winners & NEEEWWW RoH Tag Team Champions: Unchained Honor by pinfall @22:55
Elgin and Lethal celebrate their victory as the crowd reigns down with boo’s and the commentators voice their shock over the cowardly tactics used by Elgin and Lethal in order to get a victory in this match. Unchained Honor hold the belts high over their heads as they continue to smack talk to former Champions on their way out of the ring.

We see a pre-taped video of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Hospital in Toronto. As the camera pans in to the hospital, Alicia Atout is sitting down with a doctor who proceeds to discuss the extent of injury to Brian Kendrick at the hands of Austin Aries a number of weeks ago. The doctor explains that Brian Kendrick had to be put in a medically induced coma for several days as the doctors worked on the excessive swelling in his brain due to the trauma. He then explains that once he’d awoken, Kendrick’s demeanor had quickly changed from when he had first arrived, as Kendrick has become increasingly violent towards the staff and was observed by nurses to be having conversations with himself when he believed no one else was around. Alicia asks to see Kendrick which draws a nervous look from the doctor who nervously explains that he had started a brawl in the hallway and hasn’t been seen since. Alicia looks at the doctor in pure shock as the scene fades to a dramatic end.

Match #5: Singles Match
Big Show vs. Bobby Lashley
Big Show catches Lashley with a KO Punch to the jaw before Lashley can even enter the ring!
Lashley crashes to the outside unconscious as Big Show heads out after him while the referee tries drastically to gain control to he can officially start the match. Show grabs Lashley’s limp body and tosses it in to the steel ring steps just as Lashley did to him in their first encounter. Seeing Lashley down, Big Show rips the protective matting off the floor and drags Lashley over to it. He then picks Lashley up for a Chokeslam, but stops. Seemingly conflicted with his own moral compass, Show drops Lashley as the referee pleads for him not to slam him on the concrete floor. The referee checks on Lashley who is still out cold from the KO Punch and tells Big Show he can’t compete in a match under these conditions. Big Show breathing heavily begins to shout at Lashley “I’m better than you!” in regards to not Chokeslaming on the exposed concrete. Big Show begins to head up the ramp as the referee check on Lashley, but suddenly stops and turns around, heading back towards his opponent and causing the referee to leap out of the way in fear of his own safety. Big Show grabs Lashley and drags him over to the other side of the ring, before picking him up and Chokeslaming him through the announce table!
Standing over Lashley for a moment, Show once again screams “I’m better than you!” before finally heading to the back as EMTs and officials rush out to check on Lashley.
Winner: No Contest.

We head backstage to see Jeff Jarrett walking towards the gorilla position for his match against Elias. Jarrett passes The Roadie who is hanging out backstage and the two men exchange kind words. Roadie wishes Jarett the best of luck tonight in dealing with Elias before offering to be in his corner for tonight’s match, but Jarrett declines. Double J tells The Roadie that win or lose, he wants to do this on his own before hugging his longtime friend and walking away. As Jarrett leaves the view of the camera, Billy Gunn walks in to view from behind a corner, stuffing his face with a plate from catering. Gunn turns to Roadie and asks him what he missed, but Roadie just shakes his head and walks off laughing to himself as Gunn stands there confused.

Match #6: Singles Match
Jeff Jarrett vs. Elias
Loser Leaves Ring of Honor
Loser Leaves Ring of Honor
The final battle in this rivalry starts off at a slow pace as both superstars feel each other out, neither wanting to make the mistake that could cost them their careers. Elias takes advantage early, as expected and begins working over the veteran Jarrett as he tries to wear him down, but Jarrett is able to gain control before too long, nailing Elias with a number of moves that fires the crowd up as Jarrett seemingly has Elias on the ropes. Double J with a little Shake Rattle N’ Roll as an homage to his friend Roadie before going for The Stroke, but Elias springs to life, countering it out and nowhere and turning it in to a Drift Away for the 3 count!
Winner: Elias by pinfall @ 8:14.
Elias celebrate his victory as Jarrett is slow to get back up to his feet. Leaving the ring in pure joy, Elias heads up the ramp and to the back, allowing Jarrett to stay in the ring alone and share a final moment with the RoH audience who chant “Thank You Jarrett” while Double J begins to shed a tear. The commentary team elect to stay silent as to not ruin Jarrett’s final moments as we slowly and sorrowfully fade out to our final commercial break of the evening.

Main Event: 8-Man Elimination Tag Team Match
Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Ken Kennedy, Edge & Christian) vs. Age of the Fall
If Team Angle Wins, Every Member Gets a RoH World Heavyweight Title Shot
If Age of the Fall Wins, No Member of Team Angle Can Challenge for the World Title Again
Kennedy starts the match off for Team Angle and asks for Rollins to start for Age of the Fall. The Champion teases starting off the match, but tags in Jimmy Jacobs much to the chagrin of the crowd. Jacobs frustrates Kennedy early, as he’s able to slip out of multiple holds but spends more time taunting both Kennedy and the boing crowd then he does taking advantage of the situation which is ultimately his downfall as Jacobs pushes Kennedy in to his own corner which allows Christian to slap tag himself in to the match. Too busy showing off, Jacobs doesn’t see the tag, and when he charges back towards Kennedy, he eats a boot to the face from Kennedy which allows Christian to jump in to the ring quickly and roll up Jacobs for the 3 count!
JIMMY JACOBS IS ELIMINATED!
Age of the Fall are beside themselves for going down so early! Seeing an opportunity to strike, Rollins rushes in to the ring and nails Christian with a backstabber, rushing to pin Christian, but he only manages to get a 2 count. Rollins then proceeds to work on Christian in the ring before dragging him over to his corner and tagging in Brodie Lee. Lee begins to tear apart Christian, using powerful moves to wear down his opponent. Lee sets for the Discuss Lariat, but Christian is able to duck under his arm and comes off the ropes with a flying crossbody! With both Lee and Christian down, the men each try to reach their corner for a tag. Lee tags out to Rollins who rushes over to grab Christian’s leg and pull him away from his corner, but before he can, Christian just manages to tag in Kurt Angle! Rollins looks like he’s seen a ghost as Angle charges towards him, causing Rollins to retreat out of the ring, but tagging out to Joey Mercury before doing so, which was missed by Angle, but not the referee. Rollins hits the outside with Kurt Angle hot on his trail as the referee begins the 10-count. Rollins begins backing up, pleading with Angle as he get closer to him, but before Angle can lay his hand on Rollins, the referee reaches the count of 10!
KURT ANGLE IS ELIMINATED!
Caught off guard, Angle is both shocked and enraged to find out Rollins had goaded him in to getting himself counted out! With nothing to lose, Angle charges at Rollins and a brawl ensues outside the ring between the two men. Edge and Kennedy both rush over to pull Angle off Rollins before it results in a disqualification which allows Mercury the opportunity to low blow a distracted Christian while the referee’s attention is on the action outside. Mercury gets the referees attention to see him tag in Brodie Lee, before picking Christian up and tossing him to Lee for a Discuss Clothesline! Brodie Lee covers Christian for the 3 count and just like that, Team Angle is down 2 men!
CHRISTIAN IS ELIMINATED!
Cooler heads have prevail on the outside as Angle and Rollins have been separated. Rollins heads back to his corner and Angle apologizes to his team before heading to the back with Christian. Kennedy and Edge take a moment to discuss a strategy before Edge rolls in to the ring to face Brodie Lee, much to the delight of the crowd. Edge and Lee exchange insults from either side of the ring before meeting in the middle to exchange blows. Edge is on fire, looking like he hasn’t missed a beat while Lee tries desperately to cover up from the blows. Both men spend quite some time in the ring working each other over before Edge tags out to Kennedy to once again asks to have Seth Rollins tagged in. Lee, looking like he’s going to tag in Rollins, before turning around to give Kennedy the finger and tagging in Joey Mercury instead. Kennedy looks disappointed as Mercury hurls insults his way and the commentary team bring up their recent matches. Kennedy shrugs his shoulders before charging at who confidently meets Kennedy in the middle of the ring, only to eat a quick Mic Check and get pinned for the 3 count!
JOEY MERCURY IS ELIMINATED!
We’re down to 2 men aside as Kennedy picks up Mercury and tosses him over the top rope before turning back to AoF’s corner. Brodie Lee goes to get in to the ring once again, but this time he’s stopped by The Champion who finally looks ready to compete in this match, to the satisfaction of Kennedy. As expected, this is all another ruse as Jimmy Jacobs comes running back down the ramp and pulls Edge off the apron as he and Joey Mercury, who is now back to his feet, work over Edge on the outside. This distraction allows Lee and Rollins to both charge Kennedy as the two of them proceed to beat him down in the center of the ring. Lee nails Kennedy with a Discuss Lariat, before Rollins connects with a Stomp. Seeing the damage done in the ring, Mercury and Jacobs both back off and slowly head back to the back as the referee turns around to see Rollins covering Kennedy and counts the 3.
KEN KENNEDY IS ELIMINATED!
Edge is the last man standing for Team Angle and their only hope as he slowly pulls himself up to the ring apron and slides in to the ring, clearly feeling the effects of the beating he just took on the outside. Sensing an easy victory, Rollins sets in the corner for a stomp, but Brodie Lee tags himself in to the match. Lee and Rollins share a few words as Seth seems confused as to why Lee would do that, but after explaining himself, Rollins seems okay with the decision. Lee begins to head towards Edge with a menacing looking on his face, but is caught off guard as Edge explodes with a Spear and quickly pins Brodie Lee for the 3 count to even us up a 1 man a piece.
BRODIE LEE IS ELIMINATED
Rollins can’t believe it, but Edge is down and still hurt. Rollins quickly rushes in to the ring where he proceeds to beat down on Edge with rights and lefts, trying to weaken his opponent before he can go in for the kill. The continues for a few moments and Edge tries his best to fight back, but looks beaten and exhausted as Rollins, who hasn’t gotten in to too much of the action so far is the much fresher man in this match. Rollins goes to nail Edge with the Revolution-Knee, but Edge slips behind him. He comes off the ropes for a Spear, but Rollins is able to leap over him and connects with an Avada Kedavra on the rebound.
Rollins covers Edge, but only gets a 2 count. Annoyed, but still concentrated on the match, Rollins quickly charges in to the corner, ready for a Stomp. He rushes towards Edge, who rolls out of the way at the absolute last moment and crushes Rollins with a gigantic Spear that causes the crowd to almost take the roof off this building. Edge covers Rollins for the 3 count and the victory for Team Angle!
Winners: Team Angle by pinfall @ 32:43 (Last Man Standing: Edge)
Edge celebrates a massive victory with World Heavyweight Championship implications for his entire team as the crowd shower him in their approval. With that, SuperCard slowly fades off the air as our commentary team ask us to join them again next week to see who gets the first crack at Seth Rollins’ RoH World Heavyweight Championship.
