NWA Championship Wrestling Nov. 16, Saturday TV Taping
We go live to the announcing team of Gordon Solie & Joey Styles in front of the huge NWA Logo for the new episode of NWA Championship Wrestling. Gordon & Joey welcome the fans back with a lot of action scheduled on today's card. Styles goes on t announce the combatants In action today are the Solie begins today's show talking about the upcoming Holiday Pay-Per-View, 'Count Your Beatings', set for Sunday, November 24, from Atlanta, Ga. in the State Farm Arena right before Thanksgiving. Gordon states that Commissioner Jim Barnett is finalizing the card together. It will be announced at the end of todays show. Featured on today's show some new faces as Taeler Hendrix, the tag team of 'Mad Dog' Buss Sawyer & 'Maniac' Matt Borne, the world's most strongest man Ken Patera, World's Tag Team Champs the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Gene, Lars & Ole Anderson) & a rematch between 'Hacksaw' Butch Reed & Big Van Vader.
Joey brings out the United States Tag Team Champions the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers). The Fantastics defeated the Masked Infernos with manager Col. JC Dykes in a loser leaves town match with the tag belts on the line. They air a video from the Kansas City Kemper Arena from last Thursday night. Rogers pinned Inferno 2# to win the match. Dykes & his Infernos are gone from the NWA. They are preparing for their next contenders -- The Assassins.
As they leave, the United States Heavyweight Champion Stan 'Lariat' Hansen joins them to talk about the situation with Brody & Vader. Hansen was well aware Gary Hart & Brody were taking advantage of the 30-day rule. Stan first says he thinks his former friend is listening to the wrong person but Hansen has more important matters - facing either Fritz Von Erich or 'Cowboy' Bill Watts on the upcoming PPV. He told the Commissioner that he suggest a match between those two & he would defend the belt against the winner. It may happen next week. But he reminds Brody & Hart that after Vader, Stan Hansen is the No. 1 contender for the World's heavyweight Belt.

Match 1. Women's Single Match. Taeler Hendrix debuts & beats Liv Morgan with the Kiss Goodnight (tombstone piledriver). The feiry red head Hendrix used her size & aggressiveness to dominate the smaller Morgan.

Prematch interview at the desk by Gordon & Joey with 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer & 'Maniac' Matt Borne. Sawyer does a lot of yelling while Borne is the more subdued. They are collecting tag team belts, starting with the United States Tag Team Belts & then the World Tag Team Belts. Mad Dog says they will go through anybody to get those titles Sawyer adds they've got no friends & the Maniac agrees.
Match 2. 4 Man Tag Team Match. 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer & 'Maniac' Matt Borne debuts & defeated the Party Boys (Davey & Johnny Rich). Borne with a camel clutch on Johnny.
Commercial break includes a video taped interview from a hospital ER with Women's World's Champ Mschif who is supporting a bandage over her left eye. Mschif calls out Su Yung for trying to blind her with a lit cigarette in their match from Jackson, Miss. last Wednesday night. The champ challengers to a pin falls anywhere match on the Thanksgiving Pay-Per-View. Mschif swears to bring an end to the wrestling career of Su Yung.
Match 3. Single Match. Ken Patera debuts & beats 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell with a bear hug. (7:20). Patera dominated Landell who could not match power wise with the strongman.
Patera joins Gordon & Joey at the desk to talk about coming to the NWA. He is soon interrupted by 'Playboy' Gary Hart who offers a contract to Patera to let him be his manager. Ken asks Gary what for? Hart finally admits he wants a bodyguard for him & World's Heavyweight Champion 'Bruiser' Brody to keep Vader off of him. Patera turns the Playboy down. Then he tells everyone he already has a manager. Suddenly out walks Rock Hunter & Hart's eyes nearly pop out of her head. Rock tells old buddy Gary that he is looking out for Ken. He also tells Hart he had better be worried about Patera besides Vader. Ken can beat Brody & he will get his chance. Hart walks off in a huff.
Commercial break includes a taped interview with Fritz Von Erich on having to face 'Cowboy' Bill Watts on tv next week to get a title match with United States Heavyweigth Champion Stan Lariat' Hansen. Von Erich says he is going through Watts to get to Hansen.
Match 4. Non-Title 4 Man Tag Team Match. World's Tag Team Champions the Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Lars & Ole Anderson) w/Gene Anderson defeated Bart Gunn & Matt Riveria. (7:31). Lars with the Anderson Hammerlock on Matt.
Commercial break includes a taped interview with 'Cowboy' Bill Watts responds to Von Erich's comments. Bill says he still owes Fritz & is going to make sure he gets his next Saturday.
Match 5. Return Match by Butch Reed. Big Van Vader defeated 'Hacksaw' Butch Reed with the Vader Bomb. (6:31). The match was requested by Reed who made a great showing but still fell to the power of Vader.
Vader joins Mike ringside to talk about Gary Hart & 'Bruiser' Brody. Vader tells Reed who is being attended to in the ring that it was nothing personal -- but he was in the way to Vader getting his hands again on Brody. Vader says he will put so many bruises on Brody, he will be called Bruised Brody from then on. And Gary Hart will have something else to worry about now that Rock Hunter is in Vader's corner. And I will beat you Brody 1-2-3 then you will HAVE to defend the World's Heavyweight belt against me.

Gordon, Joey & Mike present a video sent to them of the tag team Rhythm & Blues (Greg Valentine & Honky Tonk Man) who are coming to the NWA. The trio then run down the action on today's show. They remind the fans to tune in next week for more NWA Wrestling.
