"Who are these three and what do they want now?"
ECW starts with a cold open this week as we don't even get enough time to start with interaction from Gertner and Schiavone, instead the camera cuts straight to Contra Unit in the ring, beating down on local talent that they've dragged down to the ring and are now currently beating them down while Gotch yells outside to the ring while Contra Unit continue their assault.
Contra Unit stand tall in the center of the ring, over the fallen local talent and fans are throwing trash out at the ring and Contra Unit who leave the ring and start making their way out the ring to the back. Schiavone and Gertner sit there at a loss for words, heavily confused about the way this show just started.

Before this match happened, Paul Heyman came out and announced Baron Corbin can't just get a title shot by attacking his opponent and he has to earn it, but he'll have to take backseat to the winner of this match as the winner gets first dibs at WALTER. As soon as that announcement made, KUSHIDA and Hayabusa ran straight at each other both battering each other with stiff strikes. The former MMA fighter in KUSHIDA showed as he was able to knock Hayabusa down and continue the stiff strikes over on him.
