Son of Havoc vs. The Miz
Son of Havoc vs. The Miz
Son of Havoc defeated The Miz by pinfall to earn arguably his biggest win in singles competition in the Temple to date. It was a back-and-forth match that looked like it could go either way. The Miz held the advantage for quite some time after he tricked Son of Havoc into chasing him out of the ring, where he was then sent headfirst into the turnbuckle post by The Miz. However, The Miz couldn’t capitalize despite the advantage. He made several pinfall attempts and even tried to submit Havoc with a figure four leg lock, but he couldn’t get the win. Son of Havoc rallied and had The Miz on the ropes, which prompted “Classy” Freddie Blassie to come out to the ring to try to help The Miz. However, as was the case in both his attempts at winning an Ancient Aztec Medallion, Blassie’s help backfired as he tried to strike Havoc with his cane, only for him to duck out of the way and see it hit The Miz instead. Not long thereafter, Son of Havoc landed a shooting star press on The Miz for the win.
Post-Match: “Classy” Freddie Blassie attempts to help The Miz, who pushes him away upon seeing him, then rips the cane from his hands and starts hitting him with it over and over again while shouting, “I fired you! What about that don’t you understand?” Then, The Miz grabs Blassie and gives him a Skull-Crushing Finale in the middle of the ring, right onto the Ancient Aztec seal. Once he’s done, he spits on the old man and shouts that he never wants to see him again.

Rey Mysterio Jr., Johnny Mundo & Paul London vs. Hijo del Fantasma, Mil Muertes & “Macho King” Randy Savage
The team of Hijo del Fantasma, Mil Muertes & “Macho King” Randy Savage defeated the team of Rey Mysterio Jr., Johnny Mundo & Paul London by pinfall in this trios match featuring the six current holders of Ancient Aztec Medallions. With one more medallion to be awarded later this evening, this served as a preview of what fans might expect to see when the seven winners of Ancient Aztec Medallions compete for the Gift of the Gods. It was a high flying affair from the opening bell to the closing bell as we saw Mil Muertes perform a topé suicida on Mysterio, Johnny Mundo perform a corkscrew plancha on Mil Muertes, Randy Savage perform a plancha from the top turnbuckle onto Mundo, Hijo del Fantasma perform a tope suicida so far out of the ring it’s coined ‘the arrow straight from the depths of hell,’ Paul London perform a shooting star press from the top turnbuckle outside of the ring into a pile of luchadores, and then Mysterio execute a top rope springboard moonsault into the pile of luchadores! The ending sequence saw a rapid fire succession of finishing moves with Mysterio executing a West Coast Pop on Savage, which was broken up by a stiff kick to the back of the head by Fantasma. He then executed a Samoan driver on Mysterio but was then given a thrust kick to the jaw and a diving knee strike to the side of the head by Mundo, who then took him into the corner and gave him Starship Pain. His pinfall was broken up by the Macho King, who gave Mundo a deadlift release German suplex, then climbed the top turnbuckle and landed his patented diving elbow drop. His pinfall attempt was broken up by Paul London diving off the top rope to go Down the Rabbit Hole! Unfortunately for him, as soon as he was back to his feet, he received the Reaper’s Trident, which was immediately followed up by a Flatliner. Mil Muertes covered London for the 3-count and the win.

“Classy” Freddie Blassie stands in front of sink in the bathroom, staring into the mirror. His skin is thin and wrinkled, and it is bruised and forming welts from the earlier assault by The Miz. When he moves to check his hairline, he lets out a groan from the aches and pains, either caused by aging, the assault, or both.
Suddenly, Vampiro enters the room. Blassie doesn’t see him as there’s no reflection in the mirror. Vampiro speaks up, startling Blassie, who then turns to see him. He tells Vampiro that he feels his age. He feels old. And he wonders whether Vampiro thinks he’s useless, as was implied by his former client, The Miz.
Vampiro tells him that he might be too old to be of any use to anyone anymore, but that he only has himself to blame for it. Blassie doesn’t understand what that is supposed to mean, as age catches up to everyone. Vampiro tells him that age doesn’t catch up to those who do not allow it to. But for those who do, there’s no shaking it. Death is, then, inevitable. Blassie thinks there’s a measure of wisdom in his words and tells him that he’s well-learned. Vampiro says that everything he knows, he owes to his master. The statement hang in the air a moment before Blassie lifts his chin off his cane to say that he wouldn’t mind one day meeting Vampiro’s master as he sounds like an interesting fellow. Vampiro confirms that he is and tells Blassie that if he ever truly means it, to let him know. Then, he leaves.
Blassie takes a moment to contemplate the offer, then turns and looks in the mirror. For a brief moment, he catches a glimpse of his former self. Then, he sees the welts and the wrinkles and the white hair and throws his cane against the wall out of frustration.

Ultimo Dragon vs. Awesome Kong vs. Mr. America
Ultimo Dragon vs. Awesome Kong vs. Mr. America
Mr. America defeated Awesome Kong and Ultimo Dragon by pinfall to win the final of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions. The match began as a one-on-one contest between Ultimo Dragon and Awesome Kong, but half way through, Mr. America came out of Dario Cueto’s office and announced that he was joining the match and there wasn’t anything anyone could do about it, brother, because in the Boyle Heights House of Wrestling, Real American Wrestlers call the shots! He got into the middle of the action, whipping both his opponents with his weightlifting belt. A big boot, bodyslam and running leg drop put Ultimo Dragon down for the night. Awesome Kong grabbed Mr. America in a chokehold, but he kneed her in the crotch, then gave her a bodyslam and the running leg drop, pinning her for the win and the Ancient Aztec Medallion.

Pentagon DARK comes to the ring, takes a microphone, and calls out Dario Cueto for refusing to meet with him. He says he wants a Lucha Underground Championship match against his brother and that he should get it because no one has seen Eddie Guerrero since their match two weeks ago.
The Patriot, Sgt. Slaughter, and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan come out of Dario Cueto’s office and tells Pentagon DARK that Dario Cueto isn’t here, and that they’re in charge now and they aren’t giving out title matches to any pathetic luchadores who have the gall to hop the border and demand things for free in the House of Wrestling. Pentagon’s business doesn’t concern these American assholes, so he tells them off. They don’t appreciate that, so they attack. Pentagon doesn’t back down because he has Cero Miedo! While he puts up a good fight to begin with, the numbers are too much for him to deal with. Pentagon gets a Patriot Missile from The Patriot, he get’s clotheslined by Duggan’s 2x4, and he gets put in the Cobra Clutch by Sgt. Slaughter.
Just then, Nikki Cross comes running around the ring, swinging the cell key around in front of her as she does it. The Real Americans are distracted by her, but then they see it – The Monster has been set loose! Matanza Cueto comes into the ring and cleans house! Mr. America comes out of Dario Cueto’s office just in time to see Matanza serve up the Wrath of the Gods to all his compatriots! He walks up the steps to the ring apron, but staring into the eyes of the Monster, decides to back away down the stairs. Cross points to Mr. America and that sends Matanza out of the ring and chasing after him. They disappear somewhere out of sight of the Believers. Nikki Cross enters the ring holding the Lucha Underground Championship and the key to Matanza’s cell door, and with the bodies of The Patriot, Sgt. Slaughter, and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan all laying unconscious around the ring, she laughs hysterically!
