BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
We open the show in the back with a cold open, as Crazy Max is standing around in the parking lot.
SHUJI KONDO:
Oh man, did we destroy everybody last week or what!? The domination has begun and everybody had better stay out of our way!!!
CIMA and Mochizuki smile.
CIMA:
Shuji, you're absolutely right, man, there's nobody that can touch us, nobody that can stop us, and these fools don't want a piece of us. We are the baddest guys in this locker room and the new most dominant force in professional wrestling. Tonight, Mochizuki is going to make Great Sasuke eat his words from last week, and make him wish he'd stayed in the shadows and out of our crosshairs.
SHUJI KONDO:
He thinks we're scared of him!? HA! He ain't gonna know what hit him!
All three men laugh as Mochizuki tightens his black gloves, and we move to the opening of the show.
RINGSIDE SEGMENT
We head to ringside, where we see MEN'S TEIOH, TOSHIE UEMATSU, and YUJI SHINDO.
YUJI SHINDO:
WELCOME TO INFINITE SPIRIT AND MONDAY NIGHT RAGE! We are sold out here in Chofu tonight, and this capacity crowd is on it's feet, waiting for the action to begin!
MEN'S TEIOH:
That's right, Yuji, and these people are nuts and I don't blame 'em! We've got some big fights tonight!
YUJI SHINDO:
As we heard earlier, "The Assassin" Masaaki Mochizuki is going to be taking on the Great Sasuke in what is sure to be a heated battle!
TOSHIE UEMATSU:
Yeah, but you can bet Crazy Max is going to have their hands all over that one, those bastards!
YUJI SHINDO:
It certainly sounds that way, Toshie. And when you talk about underhanded, shady characters in Infinite Spirit Pro Wrestling, you really can't overlook Yoshiko Tamura.
MEN'S TEIOH:
Oh, she is something else, isn't she? Trying to have Sonoko Kato injure Ayumi Kurihara last week was despicable, but tonight, she's got a Hell of a fight ahead of her.
TOSHIE UEMATSU:
That's absolutely right, as she is facing one of the baddest women on the planet in Mariko Yoshida. She is tough and highly skilled, but Tamura is willing to do whatever it takes to get the win in there.
YUJI SHINDO:
And with all of that said, I hope we haven't buried the main event, because boy, is it a big one. We've got Katsuyori Shibata, the self-proclaimed "Perfect Professional Wrestler", taking on Munenori Sawa!
MEN'S TEIOH:
Sawa just has an infectious energy about him and a will to win that is perhaps unmatched in all of Infinite Spirit. Shibata has confidence and a pedigree to back him up, and he certainly doesn't care what anybody thinks about him, but Sawa has heart, determination, and a Hell of an arsenal to get the job done. This match is going to be awesome!
~"Energy" by Drake hits, and the fans go wild! Out to the ring comes Katsuyori Shibata!~
KATSUYORI SHIBATA:
So, last week, I got involved in some business that maybe I shouldn't have... maybe I overstepped my boundaries a little bit. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten involved with Crazy Max, or the main event between CIMA and Kushida, but I did it. I made my presence felt, and while Crazy Max is riding high and claiming they are dominating this company, but not a one of them, not even THREE OF THEM, wants a piece of Shibata!
The crowd is cheering for Shibata now.
KATSUYORI SHIBATA:
And they'll say it's because I'm not worth their time or they've got better things to do, but the fact of the matter is, they don't want to get embarrassed when I destroy them all single handedly and show everybody who the real dominant force in Infinite Spirit is! So tonight, I've got Munenori Sawa. Sawa, it's nothing personal tonight, but I deserve a shot at the World Heavyweight championship, and you're the guy standing in my way. You might be the nicest guy in the world, and I've heard you have a lot of heart, but none of that is going to stop me from kicking your head in and taking what is mine, so just keep that in mind when you enter this ring tonight.
~Cue "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor and out comes Munenori Sawa! The fans give him a pretty good cheer, but he's not really well known, but he looks very pumped, shadow like kickboxing on the stage. He takes a mic.~
MUNENORI SAWA:
Wow, Shibata, I have to say, I'm touched... I really appreciate the sentiment. Thanks for not making this personal or anything, man! It's all business, right? It's all just a means to an end, and you just have to kick my head in and get this title shot you're entitled to... because, why, exactly? Why do you think you deserve a title shot more than I do? What exactly have you ever done except live in the shadows of guys like Hiroshi Tanahashi or Shinsuke Nakamura? For those of you pondering the answers to these questions in the audience, and for those of you playing along at home, the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! You've done nothing, Shibata, except shamelessly promote yourself as someone greater than you are. And trust me, I see the potential, I see how great you could be, but for you to disrespect me, and overlook me, because you think you deserve something better, well... that's going to be your downfall. I lean in to life, Shibata, and I take my opportunities seriously. You can look pass me, but I'm looking right through you, and while you're busy trying to kick my head in, I just might be making you TAP OUT. So while I'll keep what you said in mind, and I'll certainly respect you're abilities... you might want to keep in mind, this world owes you nothing, and I will not be overlooked.
Shibata nods in the ring, and then raises the mic to his face.
KATSUYORI SHIBATA:
Sawa, you come out here and you make a good impression. You say all of the right things, you play to these people, and you try to dig into my ego. You see, you drop some names, and you have to look at where those guys are now to understand just who the Hell I am. I mean, you've got Nakamura, a shell of himself chasing money over in America. And now I'm hearing rumblings that Tanahashi might actually be showing up here after I already laid the ground work and made this place look desirable...
Chants for Tanahashi now pick up, as the John Cena of Japan in just over as fuck.
KATSUYORI SHIBATA:
Yeah, yeah, we'll see about him showing up, and I'll deal with that when it comes. But you see, me, I wasn't willing to just settle for the money, or just roll over and do whatever the bosses told me. I didn't listen to anybody who said I couldn't transition to MMA, or said I couldn't be the face of a major professional wrestling company. I am the "Perfect Professional Wrestler" because I do things my way, the right way, always. And Sawa, you can say I'm overlooking you, but I just know how this is going to go, and no matter what, I'm leaving with my hand raised. You punch me, I punch you harder. You kick me, I kick you to the ground. You try to tap me out, I reverse it and break your skinny little arm, and that's the way this goes tonight. Bring whatever you've got... you're good attitude, you're BattlARTS background, all that heart of your's... and I'll show you that hearts, just like bones, are made to be broken, and nothing is going to stop Katsuyori Shibata.
~"Energy" by Drake hits as Sawa smiles and nods, and we move on to the back.~
BACKSTAGE SEGMENT
Mio Shirai is backstage with Yoshiko Tamura.
MIO SHIRAI:
Mio Shirai here, and I'm standing in with Yoshiko Tamura. Yoshiko, last week you tried to put a hit out on Ayumi Kurihara and it backfired. You two had a stare out after her match with your underling Kato, so what will happen next?
Yoshiko Tamura looks at Shirai like she is stupid.
YOSHIKO TAMURA:
Do not insult me. Kurihara cannot do anything to me. No one on this roster can. I am "The Boss Bitch" in Infinite Spirit, and what I say goes. Kurihara thinks she can be an idol for the people, but she will fail.
MIO SHIRAI:
Tonight, though, you have to face Mariko Yoshida. You two have clashed in the past, and she has proven to be a very tough opponent for you. Your thoughts on your match tonight?
YOSHIKO TAMURA:
Is that a joke? Why the Hell am I even speaking to you? Mariko Yoshida has lost by my hand in the past, and there is nothing going to change about tonight. She will be put in her place, just like everybody else.
The shot widens, and we see Mariko Yoshida standing behind Yoshiko Tamura. Tamura sees Mio looking behind her and turns, then takes a step back as Yoshida stares a hole through her.
YOSHIKO TAMURA:
What the Hell are you doing here!?
Mariko turns her head slightly.
YOSHIKO TAMURA:
ANSWER ME, YOU DOG!
Tamura attempts to strike Yoshida, but Yoshida dodges to the side and uses her weight to shove her down to the ground. Tamura covers up, but Yoshida doesn't pursue her. Shirai backs up, but Mariko just continues to stare at her. Mariko takes a moment before walking off, leaving Tamura on the ground looking shaken up, obviously playing mind games of her own with "The Boss Bitch", who looks pissed off and rattled.
MATCH ONE
Mayu Iwatani vs. Tsukasa Fujimoto
These two put on a very spirited match for these fans in the opener. Iwatani would show some frustration, as she was having a lot of trouble keeping Fujimoto down. Fujimoto tried to win the match with a Moonsault off the top, but Iwatani would get her knees up, delivering a Bridging Dragon Suplex afterwards to finally get the win!
MATCH TWO
Great Sasuke vs. "The Assassin" Masaaki Mochizuki w/ Shuji Kondo & CIMA
Sasuke is massively over, and these fans were behind everything he did. Crazy Max would try a lot of underhanded tactics throughout to keep him down, but Sasuke would keep powering up and holding on. The referee would take a bump after Mochizuki pulled him in front of a Cartwheel Elbow in the corner. Crazy Max would go nuts from here, hitting the ring and putting the boots to Sasuke! They would even bring in a steel chair to beat him down with! From the back would come Dragon Kid and Jinsei Shinzaki! They would help run off Kondo and CIMA, allowing Sasuke to dropkick the chair into Mochizuki's face, leading Sasuke to then head up top and deliver a Senton Bomb! The referee would come back to life and make the three count, and Great Sasuke would get the win!
The fans would cheer him on as Dragon Kid and Shinzaki raised his hands, goading the crowd on as Crazy Max suffered their first loss here in Infinite Spirit!
MATCH THREE
Mariko Yoshida vs. Yoshiko Tamura
Tamura would try to cheat and showboat to keep Mariko Yoshida down, but Yoshida is as technically skilled a wrestler as you are going to find and she is very tough. Sonoko Kato would come down to the ring and cause a distraction, allowing Tamura to roll up Yoshida and hold the tights, but Yoshida would shock everyone by kicking out at two! Tamura and Kato were thinking of just heading up the ramp and leaving the match behind, but out ran Ayumi Kurihara, who sent Tamura back into the ring! Yoshida would deliver a Spinning Backfist to the back of Tamura's head, knocking her out for the three count! Mariko Yoshida gets the win over Tamura!
Sonoko Kato runs in and begins beating down Yoshida before rolling out with Tamura as Ayumi Kurihara comes in to save Yoshida.

MATCH FOUR
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Munenori Sawa
Shibata and Sawa put on a great back and forth match that had the fans split, as Sawa showed some awesome spirit, while Shibata laid into him with some brutal hits and some awesome technique. Mochizuki would come in with a Kendo Stick and start beating both Shibata and Sawa, and the match gets thrown out!
Out comes Atsushi Onita, commissioner of ISPW, wielding a baseball bat! He then grabs a microphone as Crazy Max clears out!
ATSUSHI ONITA:
You will not be ruining my main events! This is unacceptable! Crazy Max, you think you can do whatever you want around here, but you're asses are mine!
Tense staredown to end the show here.
We open the show in the back with a cold open, as Crazy Max is standing around in the parking lot.
