Cortez Castro and Mr. Cisco come out of Dario Cueto’s office and enter the ring to announce that their boss isn’t in the Temple tonight. Instead, he is in a hospital bed after suffering severe internal injuries last week at the hands of his brother, Matanza Cueto. However, Dario doesn’t blame his brother for what happened. He blames Nikki Cross and he’s ordered them to do whatever is necessary to make her pay. They say that Nikki Cross must come out here immediately and give back Dario Cueto’s key or else she will have to suffer the wrath of the gods. Cross shows up, wearing the key around her neck, and tells them that she plans on keeping the key forever, but says that if either one of them can beat her in a match, they can have it. So…

Nikki Cross vs. Mr. Cisco
Nikki Cross vs. Mr. Cisco
Nikki Cross defeated Mr. Cisco by pinfall in what was essentially a 2-on-1 contest. With Cortez Castro and Mr. Cisco deciding that they’re in charge of the Temple, they decided to do whatever they pleased in this match. Unfortunately, Nikki Cross was more than up to the challenge of brawling all over ringside. Despite sustaining several lashings from Castro’s kendo sticks, Cross was able to take him out of the equation by giving him a vertical suplex from the ring apron through a table on the floor. Later, she avoided a swinging chair shot from Mr. Cisco and gave him a swinging fisherman’s neckbreaker onto the chair to earn the victory. In doing so, she ensured that neither thugs were able to take the key to Matanza Cueto’s cell door away from her.

The Lucha Outcasts vs. The Mexicools
Heath Slater, Mascarita Sagrada & Cheeseburger vs. Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis & Super Crazy
The Mexicools defeated The Lucha Outcasts by pinfall in this trios division contest. Both teams received plenty of fanfare going into this match, but it was the underdog Lucha Outcasts that received the larger share of support from the Believers. Unfortunately for them, their support couldn’t propel this first-time trios team to a victory against the seasoned trio of the Mexicools, whose high flying prowess was put on full display in this contest. After seven minutes in which the Mexicools appeared to have the match in hand, the puny Cheeseburger knocked Super Crazy silly with a thunderous palm strike that nearly earned his team the upset win. However, Juventud Guerrera was quick to make the save and he fought off Mascarita Sagrada and Heath Slater, allowing Psicosis to sneak into the ring and execute a stunner on Cheeseburger, thus leaving him in prime position to receive a springboard moonsault from Super Crazy.

The Rabbit Tribe are sitting in an oddly shaped room where the walls and floors look like a black and white checkerboard. They are seated in oversized upholstered arm chairs while sipping on tea, each one of them with their attention on something different. Suddenly, Paul London calls for Mala Suarte and Saltador’s attention. He has a tablet in his hands and he plays forward a video showing the last time that each of the Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions was placed into the Gift of the Gods belt. He pauses when the camera shows the Rabbit Tribe medallion being placed into the belt. He tells them that this golden rabbit medallion must be the true key to entering the universe of the White Rabbit and says he is certain that if he gets the medallion and delivers it to the White Rabbit – whom they believe to be Mascarita Sagrada – then he will surely take them to his universe and teach them his infinite wisdom. They nod in agreement and then dance around in excitement.

MATCH FOR ONE OF THE SEVEN ANCIENT AZTEC MEDALLIONS
Son of Havoc vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage w/ Sensational Queen Sherri
“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Son of Havoc by pinfall to earn the fifth of Seven Ancient Aztec Medallions, thus joining Johnny Mundo, Rey Mysterio Jr., Hijo del Fantasma, and Mil Muertes as a Medallion holder. On paper, it seemed as though this match was in the bag for the legendary “Macho King.” However, Son of Havoc was a spirited luchador who gave him a run for his money and fought back after everything that Savage gave him. He even withstood interference from the “Sensational Queen” Sherri, who got two big handfuls of his large beard to pull him into a diamond cutter. The King and Queen of Lucha Underground were shocked when Son of Havoc kicked out of that. It was even more shocking and awe inspiring when he rallied for the big comeback, even getting Savage in position for his finishing shooting star press. However, Sherri grabbed his foot to prevent him from leaping off the turnbuckle, then while she argued with the referee, Savage tripped Havoc, climbed up the top rope and gave him a superplex out of the corner, and then went back up the turnbuckle to execute the deadliest diving elbow drop in the business!

#1 CONTENDER MATCH
Eddie Guerrero vs. Pentagon DARK
Eddie Guerrero defeated Pentagon DARK by pinfall to become the number one contender to the Lucha Underground Championship. It was an exciting contest that started out slowly with both luchadores exchanging holds. The pace gradually increased and was accentuated by the occasional burst of speed with high-risk moves folded into the mix. The Latino Heat picked an arm and focused much of his assault on it, while Pentagon struck his calves with stiff kicks and stung his chest with biting chops. Near falls occurred after Guerrero executes the Three Amigos, a brainbuster and a blue thunder bomb, as well as after Pentagon executed a diving double-foot stomp, Mexican destroyer, and a package piledriver. The ending of the match came when Guerrero set up for a powerbomb, but Pentagon countered with a sit-out facebuster. He picked up Guerrero and set up for the Pentagon Driver, but Guerrero slipped out the back and then gave Pentagon a second brainbuster. After that, he climbed to the top turnbuckle and executed the frog splash and pinned him for the win.

In the Oval Office, the President of the United States of America sits at his desk while watching Fox News when his phone buzzes. He looks at a message on his phone, then he puts it down and grabs his desk phone to place a call.
We go into an uber-patriotic gym with symbols of American glory absolutely everywhere. Rick Derringer’s “Real American” is blaring over sound system, and there we see Mr. America pumping iron. Just as he puts down the giant barbell after finishing his arm curls, the song is interrupted by the announcement of an incoming phone call from 45.
He walks over to a bench where his phone, water, and sweat towel rest and picks up his phone. The President tells him that he’s just received intelligence stating that Dario Cueto has been hospitalized. Now is the time to strike. A car is on its way over to pick him up and take him to the airport now. Mr. America thanks the President and tells him not to worry because “what’s Dario Cueto gonna do when Mr. America runs wild on the Temple!”
