The show begins in Alberto El Patron’s office. Alberto sits in Cueto’s chair and meets with this collection of oddballs, which we have seen in the Temple a few times before in search of a rabbit. Alberto asks them who they are and what brings them to the Temple. The one in the top hat says that they are the Rabbit Tribe and their spiritual leader, the rabbit has brought them here. The rabbit came to them in a dream – one that was quite possibly chemically induced – to tell them that the way home is through the Temple. Alberto looks like he is in disbelief and sounds like he is telling them that they aren’t welcome here when Juventud Guerrera walks in unannounced. Alberto sternly tells him that he wasn’t invited in. Guerrera says that he must let him have a match tonight. He reminds Alberto of his speech from last week about bringing Lucha Underground back to its lucha libre roots and, in Guerrera’s mind, that means promoting the luchadores from la raza! Alberto tells him he agrees, that it is time for Mexico to take over Lucha Underground, and he has an idea. He’s going to give Juventud his match. If he can find two luchadores from Mexico to form a trio, they can have a match tonight against the Rabbit Tribe.

Dean Ambrose defeated La Parka by pinfall. With the unstable “Lunatic Fringe” and the “Chairman of Lucha Underground” taking over the ring for this contest, it only took about three minutes for the match to turn into a de facto Chairs match. La Parka introduced his favourite weapon into the match, but he had it taken from him and used against him to do damage to his back. Later, Ambrose brought half a dozen chairs out from under the ring, creating a bed of chairs on the floor, but then was sent crashing into it by La Parka when he executed a diving hurricanrana from the ring apron. Some of those chairs found their way into the ring, where La Parka opened them up and gave Ambrose a sidewalk slam through them. Ambrose regained control of the match and knocked La Parka clear out of the ring with a missile front dropkick. Then, he went for a plancha suicida, but was swatted out of the air with a steel chair! La Parka appeared to be looking to go for a package piledriver, but Ambrose resisted, countered with a body drop that La Parka in turn countered with a sunset flip, which Ambrose rolled out of and then struck La Parka with a basement dropkick. When they both got up, Ambrose executed the Dirty Deeds DDT on a chair and pinned La Parka for the win.

Awesome Kong defeated Argenis by pinfall. Argenis was set to face “Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro, but then Awesome Kong attacked him from behind, on the floor entrance and took him out with a powerbomb. She entered the ring, pointed at Argenis, and said, “Let’s go!” Argenis was hesitant to lock up, but when the referee called for the bell, Awesome Kong went on the attack, and so Argenis had to fight back to defend himself. After going back-and-forth for a bit, Argenis appeared to be taking control of the match, but Awesome Kong ducked his springboard clothesline attempt, so he ran to the ropes, but then Awesome Kong dropped him hard with a Samoan drop. After that, she gave him a two-handed sit-out chokeslam and then executed the Awesome Bomb to earn the win. Afterwards, she grabbed a microphone and made a statement that was short and to the point: “I am lucha libre’s only true Gift of the Gods!”

Prince Puma is seen intensely training in the Lucha Underground gym and he’s visibly pissed off. Rey Mysterio Jr. walks in, notices that Puma looks angry and asks him about it. Puma tells him that he’s upset that he seems to have a target on his back that makes people in positions of power screw him over. Mysterio tells him its because he’s a generational talent who has the potential to be the greatest luchador of all-time and that frightens them. It especially frightens people like Alberto El Patron, who feel entitled to get everything that his family worked hard to achieve for free. Mysterio tells him that he can’t let this latest set back rattle him because that’s what they want. People like Alberto want Puma to get out of Lucha Underground so that one of their biggest obstacles to the top isn’t an obstacle any longer. Puma hears him out and tells him he won’t back down. Next week, he’s taking the first step towards redemption. Puma walks out, leaving Mysterio to wonder what that might be.

Juventud Guerrera, Fénix and Psicosis defeated Mala Suarte, Paul London and Saltador by pinfall. Matt Striker and Vampiro recognized the leader of the Rabbit Tribe to be Paul London, and Striker questioned whether they were under the influence of something hallucinogenic. It was a reasonable question considering the strange behaviour displayed by the trio. One example was when all three members joined hands and danced in a circle around Guerrera. He didn’t know what to make of it. The tactic confused him and left him open to a triple front dropkick. Another example was when Mala Suarte had Psicosis laid out in the corner and went to the opposite corner and climbed the turnbuckle, as if to suggest he was going to execute a Van Terminator from the opposite corner. He then jumped down, ran across the ring and nailed him with a basement dropkick. The Believers chanted “Holy shit!” Despite their strange antics, it was the trio of Mexican luchadores that emerged from this battle with the victory. Fénix gave Saltador a diving double-knee strike to his chest as he was in the seated position, then took out London and Mala Suarte with an over-the-top-rope somersault senton bomb. Psicosis landed a Psicosis Guillotine and then Guerrera gave him a Juvi Driver and pinned him for the win.

Ultimo Dragon defeated Pentagon Jr. by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. Pentagon Jr. put up a strong fight. He was slow and methodical in his approach, peppering Ultimo Dragon’s legs with shoot kicks to try to keep him grounded. At various points in the match, he tried to force a submission with a Boston crab, bow-and-arrow, Mexican surfboard, and octopus submission holds. Having his legs sapped of their strength, Ultimo Dragon forewent the kicking game and used a variety of arm drags and suplexes to slam Pentagon Jr. into the mat. Ultimo Dragon went for some moves with big impact like Atlantida and a superplex, but Pentagon Jr. kicked out of the subsequent pinfall attempts. Pentagon Jr. responded with a super gutwrench and a diving double foot stomp to the abdomine, but neither move won the match. The action also went to the outside, and they stirred the Believers into a frenzy with Pentagon Jr. taking out Ultimo Dragon with a running over-the-top-rope somersault senton bomb, and Ultimo Dragon taking out Pentagon Jr. with an Asai moonsault.
As the match neared the end, both luchadores would go for the big finale in their efforts to win the match. Ultimo Dragon, having his legs attacked all match, took away his ability to perform the Asai DDT, so he fell back on an older arsenal of finishing maneuvers, as he gave Pentagon Jr. a Dragon Steiner, but it was only good enough for a 2-count. Not long thereafter, Ultimo Dragon tried to lift Pentagon Jr. into a powerbomb position, but he slid down the back, rocked him with a thrust kick and executed the Pentagon Driver 1…2… kick out! Pentagon Jr. was surprised. Moments later, Ultimo Dragon broke free of what appeared to be a second Pentagon Driver attempt, stunned Pentagon Jr. with a kick to the abdomen, and then gave him the Dragon Bomb! 1…2… shoulder up! Ultimo Dragon couldn’t believe it. Moments later, Pentagon Jr. gave Ultimo Dragon a jawbreaker and then a package piledriver. 1…2… Ultimo Dragon shouldered out! Pentagon Jr. was in disbelief! Next, a serious of escapes, blocks, and counters ended with Ultimo Dragon giving Pentagon Jr. a tombstone piledriver, which finally kept him down for the 3-count.

After The Miz won, he quietly left the ring and disappeared with Blassie as Los Perros del Mal continue their attack on Puma. Aguyao gave Puma a Perrito Driver (low blow). Garza gave him Tornillo (a corkscrew moonsault), Mr. Aguila gave him a 450-splash, and Aguyao finished him off with La Lanza (diving double-foot stomp). Alberto El Patron emerged from the office, entered the ring with a microphone and said that this Temple now belonged to Mexico, and that means that it won’t be Prince Puma in the main event of Ultima Lucha Dos, it will be Alberto El Patron!
This scene from the end of last week’s show plays as a You-Tube clip on a large wall-mounted monitor. After Alberto El Patron says he’ll be in the main event of Ultima Lucha Dos, the scene is paused and played back twice from where he says that the Temple now belongs to Mexico.
Then, we see a close up a hand removing a telephone from a wooden desk. The shot slowly pans out as we hear a voice say: “I know you’ve been out of the game for a few years now, but I need you to get back in it. I need you to make wrestling great again. Your country needs you to make America great again!”
