We open this week’s show inside a dojo. Pentagon Jr. can be seen kneeling and bowing as if he is praying. He is bowing to a cloaked figure reminiscent of the Emperor of the Dark Side from Star Wars. It is his master. Pentagon Jr. seeks advice to overcome his recent struggles in the ring. His master tells him that to call it struggles is putting it softly. He would describe his recent efforts as total failures and says that he has been failing because he’s been too distracted by Ian Hodgkinson. Pentagon Jr. sits right up at the sound of that name. Vampiro! His master tells him to control himself. He says that the only way to stop failing is to eliminate the source of his distractions – Pentagon Jr. must destroy Vampiro. Then, and only then, will he be able to continue on his journey to lucha immortality.

La Parka and Psicosis defeated Heath Slater and Son of Havoc by pinfall to win two of the Gift of the Gods medallions. Slater and Son of Havoc showed great teamwork and chemistry together. They made frequent tags and executed several double-team moves to counteract the teamwork of La Parka and Psicosis. Slater ended up as the face in peril for a long stretch during the match, but he managed to roll out of the way of a diving clothesline from La Parka and then execute a jumping neckbreaker on him. La Parka made the hot tag and Son of Havoc went to town on both of his opponents. Even when they gave him a whip, he manages to take them both down with slingshot double back elbow smashes. After they both rolled out of the ring to regroup, Son of Havoc did a running cartwheel into an over the top rope plancha. Son of Havoc and La Parka began to brawl outside of the ring, and as the referee was focused on that, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson showed up to attack Heath Slater. They dragged him into the ring and gave him a spike piledriver behind the referee’s back. After they left, Psicosis climbing the turnbuckle and landed the Senton Psicosis (a corkscrew senton bomb) on Slater and pinned him for the win.

Dario Cueto is meeting with Eddie Guerrero in his office. He tells Guerrero that he is excited to see the Latino Heat vs. Macho King at Ultima Lucha – it is the dream match that all of the Believers have been dying to see and he wishes him good luck. Guerrero says he doesn’t need good luck to defeat Savage because he’s already done it twice! Cueto says that no matter the case, he promised Savage that he would get the chance to finally get his crown and sceptre back, so Guerrero better bring them to the Temple at Ultima Lucha. Guerrero says he doesn’t have them and reminds him that he said he sold them at a pawn shop a few weeks ago. Cueto says that while that might be the case, he also knows that the Guerreros are known liars, so he cannot be sure that he’s telling the truth. However, what he is sure of is that if Guerrero doesn’t bring the Macho King’s crown and sceptre to the Temple at Ultima Lucha, he’ll make sure that he never gets a chance to become Mash-Up World Champion.

Awesome Kong defeated Cameron by pinfall. The Luchadoras Champion won this match is record time. It basically went like this: Cameron tried to avoid locking up and went for a running dropkick that Awesome Kong blocked. Then, Awesome Kong dropped Cameron twice with a pair of vicious lariats. She picked her up and gave her an Awesome Bomb, and then climbed the top turnbuckle and landed the Awesome Splash. 1-2-3! Mercifully, the match was over. Awesome Kong grabbed a microphone after the match and announced that what she did here today to Cameron should be a warning to Bayley that no plucky punk ass ponytail girls stand a chance in the ring with her. Bayley is a pretender and Awesome Kong promises that she’ll set a new Lucha Underground record for the fastest victory of all-time when she dominates Bayley at Ultima Lucha!

Pentagon Jr. defeated Matt Sydal by pinfall. Prior to this match beginning, Matt Sydal came to the ring unannounced and informed the Believers that he was supposed to compete in the Battle of the Bulls tournament two weeks ago, but he was attacked in the locker room by Pentagon Jr., who then took his place in the tournament. Between that and his unprovoked attack on Vampiro, Sydal had seen enough of his horrible behaviour and challenged him to a match – right here, right now! Pentagon Jr. answered the call and both men put on an excellent match. Sydal took to the air often, hitting a corkscrew plancha, springboard 450 splash and a springboard corkscrew senton. Pentagon Jr. brought his air game, too, executing a running sommersault plancha and a diving double foot stomp on Sydal. And while Sydal had lethal feet, Pentagon Jr. had lethal strikes and open-palm chops to the chest. While Sydal brought the fight to Pentagon Jr., he wasn’t able to land his finisher, as Pentagon Jr. got his knees up to block the Shooting Sydal Press. After that, he grabbed Sydal and gave him a Pentagon Driver and pinned him for the win.
After the match ended, Pentagon Jr. grabbed a microphone, looked in Vampiro’s direction for a moment, and announced that he would start making sacrifices to his master, and that he would continue to make sacrifices to his master until Ian Hodgkinson entered the ring and agreed to fight him. Vampiro got quiet, as Matt Stryker tried to assure him that he didn’t need to answer Pentagon Jr.’s challenge to him. All Vampiro would say is that his place isn’t in the ring anymore. As Vampiro put his head down, Pentagon Jr. proceeded by first snapping Matt Sydal’s arm with the Sacrifice! When he screamed out in pain, Vampiro looked up and he was visibly distraught. Pentagon Jr. attacked the referee and snapped his arm with the Sacrifice! At this point, Vampiro jumped up, but then quickly sat back down and grabbed his head.
Pentagon Jr. left the ring and attacked a concessions vendor who had a food tray full of cheeseburgers. He dragged him into the ring. The skinny kid was screaming and hollering. At this point, Vampiro could take no more of it. As Pentagon Jr. was poised to snap the vender’s arm, Vampiro got up and yelled at Pentagon Jr. to stop. He promised to get in the ring if Pentagon Jr. let the kid go. Pentagon Jr. released him as Vampiro entered the ring. Pentagon Jr. said he would become his ultimate sacrifice. Vampiro told him that his time has come and gone and that Ian Hodgkinson would not face him in a match… because the guy who is going to kick his ass at Ultima Lucha is Vampiro! As Vampiro unbuttoned his shirt, Pentagon Jr. came at him. Vampiro blocked his strike, grabbed him around the neck and chokeslammed him. Then, he left the ring and went into the crowd, where the fans surrounded him and chanted his name.

Heath Slater and Son of Havoc enter Dario Cueto’s office and argue for a chance to face the Heenan Family for the Trios Championships. Cueto loves it when luchadors are motivated by revenge, but he sees two problems with their request: they are a duo, not a trio; and their win-loss record doesn’t exactly scream that they are worthy of a championship title match. They counter argue that they last won a handicap match against Big Ryck & The Crew and then started losing because the Heenan Family was always cheating them out of wins. They want to get them back by taking away their titles. Cueto decides to put them in a no disqualification tag team match against Tully Blanchard & Arn Anderson, next week, and says that if they win that match, they’ll get their Trios Championship match at Ultima Lucha, whether they can find someone willing to be their partner or not. They accept Cueto’s offer.

PJ Black and Tyler Breeze defeated Kurt Angle and Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall to win the final two Ancient Aztec Medallions. Black and Breeze won the match despite being completely outclassed by Angle and Nakamura, who worked great as a team. It seemed like it was only going to be a matter of time before they would claim their spots in the Gift of the Gods match at Ultima Lucha. However, things didn’t go entirely according to plan. Nearly everything that could go right went right for Angle and Nakamura for the first ten minutes of the match. Black and Breeze got a few brief turns in control, but they struggled to maintain control of the bout. Eventually, Angle trapped Breeze in the ankle lock. Black entered the ring just in time to break it up before Breeze tapped out. Black and Angle traded a few blows as Nakamura mounted the turnbuckle. Angle turned Black around with a hard right hand. Nakamura leapt into the air and Black dropped and rolled out of the way causing Nakamura to turn Angle’s lights out with a diving Bomaye! Black grabbed Nakamura by the tights and tossed him from the ring, then dragged Breeze over to the corner to tag him in. Black immediately went to the top rope and executes a 450 splash on Angle, who was already out cold. Three seconds after landing, Black and Breeze were the winners.
When Angle regained consciousness, he was visibly upset. He held his head for a moment and screamed. He kicked the ropes and took his singlet shoulder straps down. Then, he saw Nakamura going up the stairs, slapping hands with fans on his way out. Angle ran up the stairs and attacked Nakamura. The assault was harsh. He parted the sea of Believers to give Nakamura an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the hardwood bleachers! Later, after bringing Nakamura back down to the Temple floor area, he cleared off Matt Striker and Vampiro’s broadcast table and gave Nakamura an Angle Slam on it! Unlike in other promotions, these things are made of solid hardwood, so it didn’t break. Then, for good measure, Angle slapped on the ankle lock and held it for around a minute before letting go and leaving.
