We enter the Lucha Underground locker room, where Dean Ambrose is lacing up his boots to get ready for his singles match later in the evening. He looks up to see Baron Corbin, who walks by without saying a word. Ambrose asks Corbin if he’s going to stop to wish his tag partner good luck tonight. Corbin says he doesn’t care what happens to Ambrose as he’s only partnering with him because they won the Trios Championships together with Bad News Brown. If he had it his way, he wouldn’t have any partners. Ambrose sarcastically remarks that Corbin’s only salty because he lost in singles action two weeks ago, but Brown won last week, and now he’s going to win his match, which would make him the only member of the team who is a loser. Corbin spits on him and then walks out as Ambrose laughs at him.

Awesome Kong and Paige defeated Sexy Star and Victoria by submission. The match was evenly contested for the most part, although Awesome Kong seemed to dominate whenever she was in the ring. Eventually, the match appeared to transform into a pair of solo contests with Awesome Kong and Sexy Star battling it out while Paige and Victoria did the same. Sexy Star took out Awesome Kong with a somersault plancha on the floor. However, Awesome Kong battled back and hip tossed Sexy Star into the second row of wooden chairs on the floor. She did even more damage to the Luchadoras Champion by bodyslamming her into the next row of wooden chairs. Back in the ring, Victoria nailed Paige with the Spider’s Web, but Paige kicked out. After that, she went to the top rope and attempted a moonsault, but landed on Paige’s knees. Then, Paige put her in the PTO (Paige Tap Out), which forced Victoria to submit.

"Darewolf" PJ Black defeated Arn Anderson, Fénix and La Parka by pinfall. There was plenty of exciting spots throughout this match as everyone except for Arn Anderson took to the air. While Anderson does not wow the crowd with impressive displays of aerial acrobatics, he wowed them with his array of vicious power maneuvers. The end of the match came just after 10 minutes of fast paced action already occurred. While Anderson and Fénix were brawling on the outside of the ring, La Parka was attempting to powerbomb Black, but the “Darewolf” countered it with a hurricanrana. He followed that up with a jumping back kick and an enzuigiri kick, which set him up to finish off La Parka with a 450 splash.

We go back inside of Dario Cueto’s office, where he is meeting with Ultimo Dragon. He tells Cueto that he wants a match with Chris Jericho. Cueto wonders why since he already proved he could beat Jericho by earning a Lucha Underground Championship match. Ultimo Dragon tells him that Jericho cost him his chance at the title, so now he wants to get his revenge. Cueto loves that word, saying it is the magic word that gets any luchador exactly what he wants… but there is one catch. Since Cueto has to bump his previously planned main event to accommodate his request, he needs to raise the stakes. If Ultimo Dragon should lose this match, then he will also lose his mask!

Tyler Breeze defeated Dean Ambrose by pinfall. Before the match even began, as Ambrose was walking down the Temple stairs to the ring, Baron Corbin ran down and shoved him down the bottom third of the staircase. He gave Ambrose the End of Days on the arena floor and then tossed him into the ring. Breeze demanded the referee start the match, and he did so reluctantly. Breeze spent the next two minutes having his way with Ambrose before giving him the Beauty Shot and pinning him for the win.

Samoa Joe defeated Batista by knockout. This match was contested inside of a steel cage. It was violent and it got bloody early on. Batista busted Joe open after dropping him onto the ring apron and then nailing him with a running big boot. Batista grabbed Joe and grinded his face into the metal mesh part of the cage, which opened up cuts above his right eye and on his chin. Batista dominated the next few minutes of the contest, but then Joe created an opportunity to mount a comeback when he stepped out of the way of a charging Batista, whose failed spear attempt sent his face smashing into the turnbuckle. Batista’s forehead with busted wide open. Joe exploited his injury for the next few minutes, but none of his knockdowns could keep Batista down for a 10-count. Batista got back into the match when he blocked a CCS enzuigiri kick and then leveled Joe with a hard lariat. Over the next few minutes, each man landed power moves on the other, but nothing could keep either of then down. When Samoa Joe found an opening to slap the Coquina Clutch on Batista, it looked like the match might finally be over. However, Sensational Sherri then climbed the side of the cage and down to the turnbuckle and then jumped onto Joe’s back. As she tried to choke him out with a rear-naked choke, Joe let go of Batista, reached over his head and slammed Sherri down to the mat. Then, Joe put Sherri in the Coquina Clutch, making her go unconscious. When he got up, Batista nailed him with a spear. Joe was down to the count of nine, but miraculously got back to his feet with the help of the ropes. Batista lined him up for another spear, but Joe dove out of the way and Batista slammed into the cage and went tumbling down to the floor! Miraculously, he made it to his feet before the 10-count, but then Joe took him out with a suicide dive. Then, he sat Batista up on the ring apron and lifted him up for the Muscle Buster, which he executed onto the chain link cage laying on the arena floor! Batista was knocked out. Samoa Joe won the match, resulting in Sensational Sherri and Batista being banished from the Temple!
