The show opens with a scene from inside of Dario Cueto’s office. He’s meeting with the new holder of the Gift of the Gods title, Rey Mysterio Jr., to congratulate him on his victory. Suddenly, Bad News Brown enters without knocking, and without seeing Mysterio sitting there, insults Mysterio and demands that Cueto give him a rematch for ‘his’ Gift of the Gods title. Mysterio takes offense, jumps out of his seat and gets ready to fight. Displeased that Brown showed him a lack of respect by bursting into his office, he decides to pay him back by telling Brown that he can have a rematch as long as he can coexist with Mysterio in a trios match tonight, when they will partner with Cesaro to take on the Heenan Family.

Aerostar defeated “Dare Wolf” PJ Black by pinfall. In Episode 1, these two teamed together in a trios match. Today, they faced off against each other. As friendly competitors, they shook hands before the bell, and went on to have a clean contest that saw the fans cheering for both men. High-risk, acrobatic, aerial maneuvers were featured throughout this contest. Aerostar dazzled the fans by getting a lot of air with a springboard reverse topé. Meanwhile, PJ Black popped the crowd with a big corkscrew plancha. In the end, Aerostar got the better of Black when he countered a springboard attack into a cutter before finishing him off with an imploding 450 splash to earn the win. After the match, Black immediately refused to shake Aerostar’s hand, but thought the better of it a few seconds later.

Cortez Castro & Mr. Cisco defeated Argenis & Famous B by pinfall. Argenis, Famous B and Mr. Cisco took to the air often, while Castro employed a mat-based approach while also occasionally getting agressive. Castro & Mr. Cisco, collectively known as The Crew, were a more cohesive unit and their lengthy experience of working together as a team helped them to constantly regain control of the match not long after surrendering it. They won the match when Mr. Cisco gave Famous B a back drop to the floor, then went to the turnbuckle and nailed Argenis with a diving senton bomb just moments after Castro gave him a brainbuster. Mr. Cisco then pinned him to give his team the win.

We get a shot of the Temple’s dungy looking training center, where “Classy” Freddie Blassie shares a word with Chris Jericho, who tells Blassie that he saw his boy Prince Puma, thought he was impressive, but says that if he doesn’t stand a chance of winning the Lucha Underground Championship tournament. Blassie disagrees, saying he’s the best fighter of our generation and that he just doesn’t know it yet. Jericho calls him a stupid idiot for not putting his managerial talents to good use because he could have been standing in the corner of the best wrestler in the world at what he does. Blassie makes a smarmy retort, ending with calling Jericho a pencil-neck geek, which gets Jericho ready to strike. However, Puma appears and blocks by grabbing Jericho’s wrist. Puma doesn’t say a word. Tension fills the air, but Blassie tells Puma to let him go, and they turn and leave while Jericho mutters threats under his breath.

Ivelisse defeated Bayley, Paige and Victoria by pinfall in a fatal fourway match. In the late stages of the match, Bayley was able to slide out of a Paige-Turner and then give her a Bayley-to-Belly suplex. However, when going for the pin, she was pulled out of the ring by Awesome Kong, who threw Bayley against a retaining wall to the Temple’s stands before throwing her into the rows of wooden floor seats. Back in the ring, Ivelisse executed a Desert Eagles sunset flip powerbomb on Victoria to earn the win.

The Heenan Family defeated Cesaro, Bad News Brown & Rey Mysterio Jr. by pinfall. Predictably, Brown failed to act like a team player, frequently telling both singles champions that he’s better than them and that he plans on taking all of their gold. Cesaro and Mysterio did their best to put up with him, but a miscue resulted in Mysterio taking out Brown with a running somersault senton from the ring to the floor that was intended for Arn Anderson. After regaining his composure, Brown attacked Mysterio, leading to him giving Mysterio a piledriver on the hardwood bleachers and then leaving the arena. Cesaro was then slowly picked apart by Vader, Tully Blanchard and Double-A. The match ended only after Blanchard and Anderson gave the last AGPW International Heavyweight Champion a spike piledriver followed by Vader giving him a Vader Bomb.
