Sunday, May 22, 2016 NWA Spring Stampede Omni in Atlanta, Ga. 1. Final Elimination Match for US Women's Belt. Serena Deeb scored a controversial win over MsChif after Deeb speared a blinded MsChif. With referee Charles Robinson out of position, Missy Hyatt & her wrestler Su Yung came ringside. Yung spayed MsChif in the face with red mist allowing Deeb to spear her for the US Women's Belt. Hyatt & Yung left ringside before the referee could see them.
2. Final Elimination Match for US Junior Heavyweight Belt. Ken Lucas used the sleeper to beat 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert who even tried to burn Lucas with a fireball but failed.

The crowd was horrified when 'Captain Redneck' Dick Murdoch posted Watts before the start of the match. After the match, Murdoch joined Rhodes to proclaimed the Outlaws were back together.

Rick, this was an excellent card. Getting to see Asuka and Cheerleader Melissa mix it up for a solid 30-minutes was great. Whereas Asuka didn't beat Melissa, I hope that means there will be a rematch in the near future. I was also a big fan of the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Rock 'n Roll Express. Such a good combo to put together in the ring and one hell of a match. I'm glad that Dick Murdoch is now a heel. I never got the appeal of Murdoch as a face. He ought to be a heel. Good call on turning him. Brody and Hansen are going to be the most dominant tag team champions the NWA will ever see. Who can even give them a decent challenge? Congratulations to Harley Race on winning the NWA Heavyweight Title! Between Race winning the NWA's top prize and Bruno taking WWE's top prize, all in the same weekend, Mash-Up Wrestling has successfully turned the clock back to the 1970s. I can promise you this much: AGPW won't be following suit. Still, I like what I'm seeing from everyone else. Great show, Rick!

FN Huge. This was an incredible to show to envision from top to bottom. I'm really loving the 'ol "digging in the crates" kind of vibe portrayed by the NWA. First off, I love the addition of multiple titles. This move, in conjunction with your scheduled regularity, has resulted in a promotion from "indy fed" to real-live #MashUpWrestling centerpiece (in case you haven't already noticed from the Main Board realignment). Shout out to Slade on that one too; he was the guy that really pitched hard for your elevation. It was unanimous, like a Steph Curry for MVP vote.
Action-wise, you can't ask for much more in that department. You've got the market cornered on blood-n-guts, hard-nosed, Mid-South-style 'rasslin. Everything from your use of characters, to historic backdrops is a credit to that. Personally, my favorite matches involve wide varieties of eras and styles, so I think MCMG vs RnR Express (as noted by Slade too) was freakin DOPE. In that same vein, I LOVE the partnership of Missy Hyatt with Su Yung. Brilliant storytelling there. I can't believe *MY* World Champion caused *YOUR* Champion to lose his belt! I know pro wrestling (at least a small, regional portion of it) has seen the Battle of Nature Boys before. But I am MOST looking forward to your Mash-Up retelling of this classic tale, under the hot arena lights of 2016! Then in the Main Event, we flash-forward back to 1988 when *MY* World Champion writes a match for the decades against his perennial foe Lex Luger. No retaliation, revenge or get-back in my man Flair's future - just clear sailing. Figure-4 submission ends the deal, just like it always does. No matter what Territory he finds himself in, or what allies he is surrounded by, Flair remains the CREAM of the Mash-Up Wrestling crop.
All in all, just a great great show and you've accumulated a wealth of top talent that will now be properly displayed with championship gold. Kick ass stuff and super inspiring as I continue my own mad rush through history to complete my catch-up. Peace,
MSD
