Cody Hawk vs. Chris Cage
The surfing aficionado Hawk would show his grit hanging in there with the more intense and technically sound cage, using a small package to counter a Sharpshooter to get the surprise three in this decent yet largely forgettable opener.
Inferno vs. "Livewire" Mike Mondo
Inferno would do a pretty good job getting heel heat, as he kept slowing down the pace and using underhanded tactics to keep the more intense and exciting Mondo off his game. Mondo would eventually make a big come back, causing Inferno to cower in the corner but eventually deliver a low blow out of sight of the referee. Inferno would go on to deliver a Hangman's Noose neckbreaker, leading to a three count as the fans disapproved.
Reckless Youth vs. Kid Kash
These two put on one of the best matches of the night, as Youth would try to ground Kash while mocking him and the fans, and Kash fought to get to his feet and take down Youth with more high impact maneuvers. Kash would surprise Youth by kicking out of his Northern Lights 2K1, leading Youth to go up top, trying to go high risk to finish it. Kash would catch him up top with a Huracanrana, followed by his Money Maker to get the three count as the fans gave these two a solid ovation.
"Killer" Mike Kruel vs. Ken Doane
Solid fundamentals here, but the fans just never seemed to get into this contest after being a bit burned out by the last. Doane would get a pretty good pop at the end though for his gravity defying Guillotine Legdrop that earned him the pinfall.
Lance Cade vs. Johnny the Bull
Cade came out in his cowboy hat and leather vest, and the fans didn't know what to think and seemed to be behind Johnny the Bull early. These two would have a spirited brawl, which saw both men both display power, brawling, and surprising agility, getting the fans into the physical action. Cade would manage to avoid a rotating Guillotine Legdrop from Bull out of the corner, taking him down with a Superkick and then heading up top and dropping a Flying Elbow that earned the "HBK" trained star the victory, and the fans approval!
Da Hit Squad (Monsta Mack & Mafia) vs. The Heart Throbs (Antonio Thomas & Romeo Roselli)
These two teams couldn't be more different, as the rough and rugged D.H.S. took on the more refined pretty boys in the Heart Throbs. The fans were behind Da Hit Squad all the way, as they had the Heart Throbs reeling early, taking the fight to them and taking them to the outside before getting back to the ring and Mafia getting a near fall on Roselli. Thomas would blind tag in and catch Mack with a big dropkick, taking the big man down, and from there they slowed things down and cut the ring off. Mack would manage to reverse a Diving Crossbody from Roselli with a dropkick, surprising the Heart Throbs with his fleetness, before making the tag to Mafia. The Heart Throbs would try to stop the momentum of Da Hit Squad, but they would be unsuccessful and Mafia would deliver the Burning Hammer to Thomas to get the pinfall victory!
"The Reflection of Perfection" Mark Jindrak vs. Tomko
Two pretty big guys with two very different personalities. The former body guard Tomko would try to pursue Jindrak aggressively, but Jindrak would stall and stop and look in his mirror, agitating both the fans and Tomko before catching Tomko off guarded with some big left hands to get this match into the next gear. These two would exchange big blows, but Jindrak would use every trick he could think of to gain the advantage. Tomko seemed to be too much, though, and would try to end things with his Running Boot, only to have Jindrak pull the ref in front of him, causing him to take the impact! Jindrak would then reach down in his trunks and pull out some powder, tossing it in Tomko's eyes! Jindrak would then deliver a big Mark of Excellence before pulling the referee over, and after a slow count, got the three! The fans would boo Jindrak, who seemed to soak it in with enthusiasm as he leaves victorious tonight.
Jay Bradley vs. BJ Whitmer
These two would get a lot of time here, and they used it to put on a very Japanese style match up, which the fans would initially kind of crap on but by the end seemed to really get into it. The beginning of the match started out a real game of chess, as these two exchanged holds on the mat and tried to see who could come out on top of the feeling out process. Bradley would get frustrated with the technical prowess of the well traveled Whitmer and turned up the heat, taking to Whitmer with heavy blows and taking things to the outside. Back in the ring, Bradley would think he had the match won with his Lariat, but Whitmer kicked out. Bradley would then deliver a Powerbomb, but Whitmer still kicked out. Bradley would try for another Lariat, but Whitmer would duck it and deliver an Exploder Suplex to buy himself some time. Whitmer would then deliver a Lariat to Bradley, but Bradley would stay standing, eating the blow and asking for more. These two would exchange hugely stiff shots, before Whitmer would catch Bradley with a big Rolling Elbow after avoiding a boot to the face. Whitmer would then hit a Wrist Clutch Exploder Suplex, but only gained a two count! Whitmer would deliver another Lariat, and this time took down Bradley and got the three count and the win as the fans gave both men a standing ovation for their efforts tonight!
