Leo Burke vs. Rusev
Leo Burke has had a rough go of it as of late, failing to collect a win in either of his matches since returning from a 2-month leave of absence due to injury. He defeated Rowdy Roddy Piper in a match at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL 2014, in October, but then suffered a loss to René Duprée in his return to action at WAR ON THE EAST COAST, in December. A few weeks ago, he lost to Ric Flair, and now he’s in tough with the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, whose career seems to be taking off like a rocket since Prince Nana purchased his contract from Maryse Ouellet. Last week, Rusev held his own against International Heavyweight Champion Bret “The Hitman” Hart in a contest that ended in a double countout. Here, Rusev punishes Burke badly, but the cagey veteran refuses to lay down for a 3-count. He battles his way back into the match, even managing to slap a sleeper hold onto Rusev. However, the Super Athlete breaks it with a sitout jawbreaker. After that, he drops Burke with a big jumping side kick and then locks on The Accolade to earn the submission victory.
Official Decision: Rusev wins by submission at 8:15
After the match, Prince Nana directs Rusev to destroy Leo Burke as a way of setting an example for what the rest of AGPW can expect to have happen to them when they face the Bulgarian Brute. Rusev grabs Burke and gives him a swinging side slam and then reapplies The Accolade. He keeps it locked in and increases the pressure every few seconds until it is broken up by Big E. Langston, who runs down and trades blows with Rusev until he gets him against the ropes and sends him out to the floor with a hard running clothesline! Rusev is livid, but does not retaliate, as Prince Nana directs him to leave while promising revenge against Big E.

AJ Lee vs. Ivelisse Vélez
This is a short, albeit excellent match incorporating many elements of the lucha libre style. AJ Lee uses a lot of headscissors and hurricanrana takedowns, so she fits nicely into the style and pace of match that Ivelisse Vélez wishes to establish, which is a fast paced match featuring a lot of run-and-gun offense and aerial maneuvers. Both women get plenty of time to shine, but it is AJ Lee that shines the most by winning the contest. After receiving the Disdain DDT from Ivelisse and kicking out of the ensuing pinfall attempt, AJ gets up and counters a diving hurricanrana attempt with a powerbomb! She follows that up with a shining wizard and pins Ivelisse for the victory.
Official Decision: AJ Lee wins by pinfall at 6:55
*Commercial Break 2*
Our camera find Leo Burke walking into the Commissioner’s Office and demanding to know why Big E. Langston was sent out to the ring to fight off Rusev. Commissioner Billy Two Rivers tells him that he sent Langston out to save a highly valued, well respected veteran of Canadian professional wrestling from possibly having his back broken. Burke denies that could have happened. He goes on to say that just because he’s a veteran of the ring wars doesn’t mean that age is starting to catch up to him before claiming that he had everything under control and that he doesn’t need the Commissioner sending people out to the ring to fight his own battles for him. Two Rivers denies that AGPW management thinks that he’s lost a step since returning from injury and says that he was only looking out for a model employee and friend. Then he tells Burke that Rusev will be dealt with appropriately, as he will have to face the Commissioner Office’s problem solver, Big E. Langston, in a match at WINTER WARFARE. Burke gets angry and says that he just finished telling him that he can fight his own battles before storming out of the Commissioner’s Office.
Changing scenes, another camera crew finds AGPW Women’s Champion, the “Big Event” Trish Stratus stopping AJ Lee from entering the women’s locker room. Stratus wishes to congratulate Lee on her victory, moments ago, and tells her that she owes her an apology for some of things she’s said about AJ and for the way she has treated her in the past. Stratus says that she realizes that she was too hasty in rejected her friendship and tells her that she hopes she would be able to find it in her heart to forgive her so that they can become the best of friends because that is something that Stratus now sees that she wants more than anything in the world. Stratus gives AJ a hug and tells her to give her a call later before walking away and leaving AJ with a look of bewilderment on her face.

Cuban Assassins vs. Fabulous Rougeau Brothers
The Canadian ex-patriots Raymond and Jacques Rougeau face a pair of hardnosed brawlers in the Cuban Assassins. The Rougeaus are pro USA and despite the recent thawing of relations between the two countries, the Rougeaus give a scathing speech about socialism and Fidel Castro, which only serves to anger the Cubans. Although they rarely win, the Cubans always put up a good fight. On this day, the Cubans get one of their rare victories, as Lance Storm and Tyson Kidd run down to ringside to give Ray Rougeau a double superkick behind the referee’s back. Then, Cuban Assassin Sr. gives him a piledriver and pins him for the surprise victory. Jacques protests the decision, but the referee won’t entertain it. Last week, the Rougeaus cost The Stampeders a match. This week, the table’s were turned. Who will lose at WINTER WARFARE when The Fabulous Rougeaus take on The Stampeders in a classic tag team grudge match? Tune in to the Mash-Up Wrestling Event Center on Sunday, February 1 to find out!
Official Decision: Cuban Assassins win by pinfall at 5:27
*Commercial Break 4*
Dean Malenko vs. Bo Dallas
Dean Malenko is all over Bo Dallas at the beginning of this match. Dallas can’t get anything going in the first few minutes. He rushes into attacks and Malenko always has an answer for them. Malenko basically lets Dallas walk into his punishment. Whenever Dallas can find a small bit of distance from Malenko, he leaves the ring and lets the referee nearly count him out before returning. Dallas does this enough times to get Malenko to walk into a shoulderblock to the abdomen through the ropes and then nearly lose the match by way of a sunset flip. When they both get up, Dallas see Malenko on the attack and gives him a side belly-to-belly suplex, which turns the match in his favour. Dallas gets frustrated when he can’t put the Iceman away, so he decides to expose a turnbuckle. Dallas tries to send Malenko into it, but he reverses the whip. Dallas stops himself from hitting it by grabbing the top rope on either side of it. Malenko charges in and Dallas pushes himself into the air, up and over Malenko, who ends up hitting the exposed turnbuckle with his chest. Then, Dallas gives him the Bo-Dog and pins him for the win!
Dallas grabs a microphone and tells Christian Cage that what he just witnessed was an example of what can be accomplished when one BOLIEVES in himself. He says it doesn’t matter where Cage tries to pin him in their Falls Count Anywhere match at WINTER WARFARE, he will kick out of any pinfall attempt anywhere in the arena because all he has do is BOLIEVE!
Official Decision: Bo Dallas win by pinfall at 9:34
*Commercial Break 5*
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard take over the ring to cut a promo talking about how the three Horsemen completely dominated Chris Jericho and the North American Tag Team Champions, Taz & Cesaro in last week’s main event. However, all they destroyed all three men and made them look like a trio of curtain jerking rookies, the Horsemen aren’t satisfied. They say that they won’t be satistfied until the Brain Busters become the North American Tag Team Champions and Chris Jericho apologizes to the Nature Boy for insulting him and then begs for his forgiveness.
Here comes Y2J and Tazaro to respond. Jericho tells Ric Square that the only thing he’ll apologize to him for is for neglecting to pretty up his ugly face by smashing it through the ridiculously, obscenely expensive Jeritron 3000 when he had the chance, three weeks ago. This comment fires up the Nature Boy and causes the Horsemen to attack. Jericho, Taz and Cesaro defend themselves and the brawl in on. A large number of AGPW officials and arena security personnel flood the ring to bring things up. Commissioner Billy Two Rivers is with them and once the fighting has stopped and everything is under control, he announces that they can all have their final battles at WINTER WARFARE, where Chris Jericho will face the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Tazaro will once again defend the North American Tag Team Championship Titles against the Brain Busters in a tables match!
*Commercial Break 6*
Paige & Natalya Neidhart vs. Jazz & Charlotte Flair
These women seem intent on stealing the show by giving us a fast paced, hard-hitting brawl the likes of which we don’t often see from the women. There is a lot of brawling in and around ringside in the early going. Jazz and Charlotte make frequent tags and give Paige a lot of double team maneuvers. They have the appearance of a team that has been competing together for years. Thanks to a verbal cue from Natalya, Paige is able to avoid receiving the Natural Selection and then make the hot tag to Natalya, who comes in and hits everything in sight. Jazz backs a blind tag when Natalya whips Charlotte into the ropes and drops the second generation grappler with a Nattie by Nature discus clothesline. Natalya then ends up on the receiving end of a running dropkick and the Jazz Stinger! Jazz then knocks Paige off of the ring apron and quickly covers Natalya to earn the victory for her team.
Official Decision: Jazz & Charlotte Flair win by pinfall at 8:10
*Commercial Break 7*
Samoa Joe vs. Killer Kowalski
This big man main event is a rematch between two of the most powerful and punishing wrestlers in AGPW. Their first match happened at MAYHEM IN MONTRÉAL 2014, back in October, at the Hell in a Cell. Just like how Samoa Joe joined Ed Whalen and Lord Alfred Hayes on commentary during Bret Hart’s match last week, The Hitman joins them on commentary to watch Samoa Joe’s final match before WINTER WARFARE. It isn’t an easy match for the Samoan Submission Machine. Although he beat Kowalski once before, the feeling is that there is no guarantee that he’ll do it again. Kowalski, himself, has won all of his matches since then and looks incredibly strong in this match. He focuses his attack on Samoa Joe’s head, while Joe counters by trying to cut the giant down to size with shoot kicks to the calves and knees of Kowalski. A brawl outside of the ring sees Kowalski dictating the action until he rips away a part of the floor mats and sets up for a piledriver only to have it countered with a back body drop. Back inside of the ring, the two combatants trade knife-edge chops until Joe buries a knee into Kowalski’s abdomen and follows it up with an inverted atomic drop. He runs to the ropes, but Kowalski is quick to recover and charges at him, knocking him down with a spear! Kowalski goes up to the top rope and goes for his patented diving knee drop, but Joe gets out of the way. Joe levels him with a CCS Enziguiri kick and covers, but Kowalski gets a shoulder up. Joe picks up the big man and takes him into the corner. He’s trying to set up for the Muscle Buster, but Kowalski fends him off, knocks him down and then executes his diving knee drop! 1…2… kick out! Kowalski is in shock. Next, he tries to apply the Kowalski Claw, but Joe avoids it and then goes for the Coquina Clutch, but he barely has it locked on when Kowalski makes the ropes. After another quick exchange of fists, missed moves and counters, Joe executes a release German suplex, then climbs to the second turnbuckle and gives him a diving senton bomb! 1…2… shoulder up! Joe goes for the whip into the corner. It is reversed. Kowalski charges in and Joe gets a foot in his face. He trades spots with him and starts giving him bodyshots until Kowalski rakes his eyes and knocks him down with three headbutts. He climbs up top, but Joe gets up and stops Kowalski from getting airborne. He grabs the giant off of the turnbuckle and executes the Muscle Buster! 1…2…3! Samoa Joe wins another big match, looks at Hart and signals to him that the International Heavyweight Championship will be going around the Samoan Submission Machine’s waist at WINTER WARFARE.
Official Decision: Samoa Joe wins by pinfall at 14:32
