MUW: WWE All-Star Wrestling: 9/5/2014
Dover, De.- National Guard Armory
Attendance: 987 (Sold Out)
A highlight package of Summerslam II is shown to open the show.
WWE President William Muldoon opens the show by saying that he has several announcements, but he thanks everyone for watching Summerslam II on pay-per-view:
1. The MUW Board of Directors received an official complaint from Stone Cold Steve Austin stating that his foot was on the ropes during the three count against Bruno Sammartino at Summerslam II and wants his belt back. After an emergency meeting, including looking over the footage from the match, the board has ruled tht Austin's foot was on the rope at the count of 2 1/2 and that the pin is invalid. Therefore, the official decision of the match has changed to a no contest and that Mr. Austin was given back the MUW World Title this past Thursday and is therefore recognized as MUW World Champion.
2. As far as Mr. Austin himself, he is now stating that he will not give Bruno a rematch at the title, but I am in charge and not the Rattlesnake! But, the dilemma is that their are two other worthy contenders for the title and they are Daniel Bryan from the AWA and John Cena from BCCW. Therefore, at the next MUW Pay-Per-View, Battleground II- Mayhem in Montreal, I am signing in the main event, a fatal-four way match, where their must be a winner for the MUW World Title as Steve Austin will defend his title against Bruno Sammartino, Daniel Bryan and John Cena, who will medically cleared by the pay-per-view as I do believe that he will be scheduled for surgery this week on his elbow.
3. Speaking of Mr.Bryan, due to his win over John Cena at Summerslam II, he has earned a one on one match against Steve Austin for the MUW WOrld Title. Therefore, after some negotiations with the AWA, the Bryan-Austin match will take place on Sunday September 28th at MAdison Square Garden in NEw YOrk City and we will highlights of that match on the all-star wrestling after the MSG card.
More announcements about Battleground II will happen tomorrow on Championship Wrestling.
