Ed Whalen: Good evening, wrestling fans! Welcome to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN!
Jeremy Borash: Fans, tonight will bear witness to the fallout from last weekend’s PRIMETIME LIVE, which saw all of Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling’s champions successfully defend their titles. Will new challengers to Dean Malenko or the Montréal Mafia emerge this evening? We’ll have to wait and see.
Ed Whalen: Although some feuds appear to have finally come to an end, others seem to be festering, and some new ones seem to be brewing as a result of some of the events that took place at PRIMETIME LIVE, last weekend.
Jeremy Borash: Yes, the Blue Blazer pulled a fast one over on Lance Storm, with the help of “No Class” Bobby Bass, and avoided being unmasked in a brief encounter. One must assume that Storm didn’t get the satisfaction he was looking for.
Ed Whalen: And I don’t think that matters are finished between the Junkyard Dog and “Killer” Karl Krupp. And what about Bo Dallas? Despite being injured, he tried to come to the help of his tag team partner, only to end up being dragged way from ringside by “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan, who one might suspect is working alongside “Killer” Karl Krupp.
Jeremy Borash: The Acadian Giant’s appearance at PRIMETIME LIVE was an unexpected surprise. As were the appearances of The Fabulous Moolah, Hurricane, Rosey & Mighty Molly, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and the biggest of all, Trish Stratus!
Ed Whalen: Stratus urged Canadian female wrestlers to come home to try to form a women’s division right here in AGPW. Will anything come of that, tonight?
Jeremy Borash: Plus, the “Macho Man” Randy Savage decided to do the right thing by preventing “Marvelous” Marc Mero from taking the ring bell to use as a weapon in his match against the International Heavyweight Champion, Dean Malenko. You’ve got to assume that Mero is unhappy and that he’ll want to have a word with the “Macho Man.”
Ed Whalen: Only, I don’t think the “Macho Man” is here tonight, Jeremy. He only seems to show up once in a blue moon. But, Jeremy, who is here tonight? What do we have scheduled for tonight’s show?
Jeremy Borash: Not much is known about tonight’s show, Ed. All I know is that Ezekiel Jackson will face Trevor Murdoch and that the most decorated French Canadian grappler of all-time, the great Yvon “The Lion” Robert will make his Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling debut tonight!
Ed Whalen: Yes, Yvon “The Lion” Robert is sure to be tough competition for anyone in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. He’s a former 16 International Heavyweight Champion in Montréal, a 2-time American Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Champion in Boston, and a former National Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Champion!
Jeremy Borash: That’s a lot of hardware he’s picked up over the years, Ed.
Ed Whalen: I wouldn’t be surprised if he picked up some more here, Jeremy.
Jeremy Borash: I look forward to seeing his debut, as well as to seeing whatever else might happen tonight on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling.
The first order of business of the day sees Test come to the ring. And wouldn’t you know it, he’s angry. He’s angry that the suits have done nothing by try to sabotage him. It’s very clear to him why management is out to get him. As long as they can keep Test from getting the top, stop him from getting the gold, and unjustly lower his winning percentage, they can keep his stock low enough so that he fails to gain the attention of the big sharks of the wrestling world – the WWEs and the BCCWs. He can’t blame them for wanting to keep him in AGPW because, according to him, his name is the only one on the marquee that makes any money. However, the final straw was finally broken by Chief Morley when he cost him the opportunity of a lifetime – the opportunity to shatter Leo Burke’s world by defeating him in the 2 out of 3 falls match at PRIMETIME LIVE. As far as he’s concerned, Chief Morley crossed a line by pushing him off of the turnbuckle, one week ago. He stepped outside of his duties as an impartial member of the AGPW management team and authoritarian figure. He partook in an act of favouritism that is wrong – not only because if what his job entails, but because the act was taken against him. So Test is calling on Emile Duprée to do the right thing by suspending Chief Morley from his post as the Chief of Staff of AGPW. Furthermore, he says that if it doesn’t happen, then he’ll be forced to take legal action and sue AGPW for damages and to get an automatic release from his contract because of the transgressions of middle management.

VS.
Trevor Murdoch vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Here, we have a couple of big tough men butting horns in this battle. Murdoch starts out hot, but Jackson battles back. Murdoch can’t be put away and mounts a comeback. Murdoch even gets as far as setting up for the Ace of Spades, but Jackson manages to counter it into a back body drop. Jackson regains the advantage and really starts to build some momentum. Lance Cade comes down to ringside. He and Murdoch have been at odds with one another in recent weeks, but have not annulled their partnership as of yet. Murdoch manages a boot to Jackson’s face while he tries to charge at him into the corner. Murdoch takes him down with a bulldog and then pins, but Jackson kicks out. Murdoch picks him up and goes for the whip. Jackson reverses it. Cade turns his back to the action, but sticks a hand under the ropes and trips up Murdoch. He gets up and starts shouting at Cade, who tells him that he thought he was tripping Jackson. Murdoch turns around to face Jackson and gets nailed with a clothesline. Jackson brings him up to his feet and executes the Book of Ezekiel! He pins for the win to remain undefeated in AGPW action.
Official Decision: Ezekiel Jackson wins by pinfall
We go backstage to the Chief of Staff’s Office, where we find Chief Morley and Al Snow. Morley is really stressed out at the moment and wondering what he’s going to do about this situation with Test. He feels that he’s always had the upper hand with the man who is AGPW’s most problematic employee and the biggest thorn in his side. However, now he’s really put the company in a bind and he worries that he’s done something that might cause him to lose his job. He asks Snow what he would do, which probably isn’t the brightest of ideas (taking advice from Al Snow). Snow says that he’s discussed the issue with Head and they feel that Morley should just give Test what he wants. He should give him a title shot against Dean Malenko. Then, he’ll have no reason to complain about anything, anymore. Morley says that’s not such a bad idea.

VS.
Cuban Assassins vs. Petey Williams & Eric Young
The Cuban Assassins are coming off a victory at PRIMETIME LIVE, as well as a failed attempt to kidnap Sunny. Meanwhile, Williams & Young are coming off a loss at that very same event. This could be a good opportunity for them to bounce back and keep their names at the top of tag team division ranks. They have a good go of it early on as their speed overwhelms the Assassins. However, for what they lack in speed, their make up for in power. The Assassins work their way back into the match by using power moves. They isolate Young and put a beating in on him. Young eventually finds an escape by ducking a clothesline attempt and taking CA Sr. down with a leaping forearm smash. Young makes it to his corner and tags in Williams, who takes care of both Assassins. He has an air of invinsibility as he hits many of his signature moves, including a dropkick to the back of CA Jr., while he’s leaning on the middle rope, and a tilt-a-whirl side Russian legsweep on CA Sr. Williams sets up for the Canadian Destroyer on CA Sr., but CA Jr. pulls him by the hair with enough force to throw him to the mat. Young charges in and tries to hit him with a forearm, but he steps out of the way and Young hits the referee. The four men brawl, which doesn’t favour the Canadians. The Cubans decide to bring chairs into play, which draws out Johnny Devine.
He comes to the ring with a kendo stick in hand. He enters the ring just as CA Sr. smacks Young in the back with a chair. He around to see Williams and Devine standing in the ring, only Devine has a weapon of his own. CA Sr. is posturing by stepping forward with the raised chair, but Devine does the same with his kendo stick. CA Sr. backs off. Then, Devine turns in the other direction and swings the stick at Williams, connecting it with his forehead! Young looks like he’s trying to get up. Devine goes other and cracks the stick over the top of his head! He leaves the Assassins to finish the job.
Official Decision: The Cuban Assassins win by pinfall
We go backstage where SoCal Val is with Fabulous Moolah. SoCal Val mentions that this is two weeks in a row now that Moolah has been seen visiting AGPW. She would like to know what Moolah’s business is with AGPW. Moolah states that AGPW has been talking to her about joining its ranks so as to lend some legitimacy to the female wrestling division that it wants to soon launch. Then, she says that while others may claim to be the top draw in women’s wrestling, those others aren’t being asked to sign a contract with AGPW to become its female division’s main attraction. Val takes note of the reference to Trish Stratus and asks Moolah for her opinion about Stratus. Moolah says that Stratus surprised us all with her appearance at PRIMETIME LIVE and that she thinks that Stratus is talented enough, but tells us all that Stratus doesn’t hold a candle to the one and only Fabulous Moolah.
*Commercial Break 3*
Yvon “Le Lion” Robert vs. Shannon Moore
This match begins with Shannon Moore showcasing some of his high-octane offense, all performed at a brisk pace. However, as soon as Yvon Robert manages a counter on a flying cross body block, which he turns into three successive backbreakers, the match is firmly in Le Lion’s hands. He puts on a catch styled wrestling clinic and toys with Moore for a little bit, stretching out the duration of the match to show those fans who may not be familiar with his grappling prowess exactly why he is the most decorated professional wrestler to ever come out of Québec. Robert forces Moore to submit to his patented rolling arm trap headscissors.
After the match, Marc Blondin joins “Le Lion” in the ring. Robert puts the entire AGPW roster on notice. He knows that he’s the new guy in these parts, but he will step over anyone to make it to the top of the mountain. He says that the reason they call him “Le Lion” is because he’s known for being both vicious and fearless. He warns anyone who dares to test him that his reputation is well earned. However, if nobody believes him, then he’s willing to prove it to them in the ring. What’s more, he says that he is on a journey to capture the International Heavyweight Championship and there is no one who can stop him from taking it.
Official Decision: Yvon “Le Lion” Robert wins by submission
SoCal Val gets a word with Johnny Devine. She asks him why he attacked his Team Canada partners. Devine responds that it was a hardly a team and that it hasn’t been for some time now. He’s felt like Team Canada has become a 2-man show and that he was starting to get pushed back into the shadows of Petey Williams and Eric Young. He refuses to live in the shadows because, according to him, the biggest spotlight to shine on any of them should be pointed directly at him. Now, Team Canada is no more. And from this date forward, he’s looking out for himself.
*Commercial Break 4*
Frenchy Martin comes down to the ring with Yoshihiro Tajiri. He gets on the microphone and puts over how great the Montréal Mafia are and talks about how great it is to be the manager of the North American Tag Team Champions, but then he says that is not enough for the Mafia. It wants more. It needs to spread its influence and serve notice to the world that it is the most unstoppable force in professional wrestling. So he cuts to the chase: the Montréal Mafia’s newest target is Dean Malenko. The Mafia is coming to get the International Heavyweight Championship. It wants all of the AGPW gold to be under its control.
Dean Malenko comes out and says that it’s not news to him that he’s a marked man. He knows that the Mafia is out to get him. He notes that Martin isn’t the first person tonight to proclaim that he’s targeting Malenko. In fact, everyone’s out to get a piece of him because everyone wants the one thing he has that says that he is the best wrestler in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. So, Malenko says that, since his schedule is open for the night, he might as well knock another challenger off the contendership ladder. And so, we get this impromptu title match between Dean Malenko and Yoshihiro Tajiri.
VS. w/
International Heavyweight Championship Title Match
“The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri w/ Frenchy Martin
“The Iceman” Dean Malenko vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri w/ Frenchy Martin
This is an excellent match featuring two amazing cruiserweight competitors. Malenko and Tajiri hit pretty much all of their signature moves in this brief encounter. Martin interrupts the proceedings each time that it appears as though Malenko is starting to build momentum, giving Tajiri a chance to fight his way back into the match and do more damage to the Champion. However, Malenko always manages to fight back. After three successfully diversionary tactics, a fourth attempt at interrupting the match proves unsuccessful when Martin gets on the ring apron and causes a distraction to prevent the referee from counting a pinfall attempt by Malenko. This was following Malenko’s successful counter of Tajiri’s brainbuster into one of his own. This time, Malenko gets up from the pin and shoves Martin off of the ring apron, sending him crashing down into the guardrail! Tajiri gets up and tries to spray the champion with mist, but he ducks it, then takes Tajiri down with a hurricanrana into a pin and holds it long enough to secure the victory!
Following the match, the North American Tag Team Champions, Mad Dog Vachon & Dino Bravo rush to the ring to administer a beat down on the champion that culminates in Malenko receiving a long airplane spin from Bravo, followed by several lashings from a large chain swung by Vachon, and a spiked piledriver by both men.
Official Decision: “The Iceman” Dean Malenko wins by pinfall
*Commercial Break 5*
Chief Morley, accompanied by security personnel, makes a visit to Test’s dressing room. He tells Test that in order to make good on his past mistakes, he’s going to put Test in a #1 contender’s match against Leo Burke, so that he can have a chance to get a match against Dean Malenko and a second chance to prove that he can beat Leo Burke and he says that security will be posted at ringside to prevent anyone from getting involved in the match, included himself. Test tells Morley that he doesn’t trust him and that he has no reason to believe him. Morley tells him that he doesn’t care about his trust, but he’s telling the truth and if he misses his curtain call, then that’s on him – because, by the way, that match will be tonight’s main event!
“Killer” Karl Krupp comes down to the ring. He has a microphone in hand. He begins by laying the verbal smackdown on the Junkyard Dog and Bo Dallas. He says that he’s successfully proven to the world that even the toughest dog in the yard is no match for a pure-born killing machine such as himself. He tells us that what happened to them at PRIMETIME LIVE should stand as a lesson to us all about the dangers of crossing pathes with the man who possesses the most feared submission hold in all of professional wrestling – the Iron Claw. Krupp continues by noting that his Iron Claw is widely feared, which explains why even the bravest of men refuse to answer the Iron Claw Challenge. However, Krupp says that he knows that greed is an affliction that is sometimes stronger than fear, so he’s proposing to increase the prize that dangles at the end of the brutal claws of pain. That’s right, this here is an Iron Claw Challenge and the prize is now $50,000 dollars to anyone who can withstand the torture of 10 excruciating seconds in the Iron Claw. So, Krupp asks for a challenger to step forward from the back, but no one answers the call. Then, he asks for a challenger to step forward from the audience, but again there are no takers. Then, he asks again for a challenger to step forward from the back. After a few seconds, a challenger emerges from behind the entrance curtain.
It’s Biff Wellington! He runs out from behind the curtain and stops. He looks to the ring, then turns and looks to the curtain behind. Something’s not quite right here. Then, “The Acadian Giant” Kurrgan emerges from behind the curtain!
Kurrgan points to the ring and starts screaming his head off. Frightened beyond belief, Wellington heads towards the ring, all the while looking over his shoulder at the intimidating giant who is following close behind him. Wellington is no challenger – he’s being bullied into this game. Krupp, meanwhile, enjoys a good laugh at what is going on. Wellington enters the ring with Kurrgan behind him. Wellington pleads with both men not to do anything to him, but he’s stuck between a pair of monsters with nowhere to go. Out of desperation, Wellington tries to strike Krupp, but he blocks it and get hammered from behind by Kurrgan. Then, Krupp locks on the Iron Claw and, within seconds, Wellington is begging for him to let go. However, Krupp keeps the hold on until Wellington is convulsing on the mat. After he lets go, Krupp and Kurrgan share a laugh as they leave the ring.

SoCal Val is backstage with her special guest, Taylor Wilde! Wilde tells Val that she heard Trish Stratus’ impassioned plea to Canadian female wrestlers everywhere to come home to Canada to form a female wrestling division in AGPW. Earlier in the week, she got in contact with AGPW, who was interested in talking to her. She says that they flew her here to have a meeting to discuss AGPW’s future plans regarding female wrestling and they came to an agreement on the spot. She is pleased to announce that she has signed a contract with AGPW. Furthermore, Wilde promises that she will be here next week to put out an open challenge to anyone to join her in competing in the first ever female wrestling match on Atlantic Grand Prix Wretling on ASN.
VS.
#1 Contender’s Match
Leo Burke vs. Test
Leo Burke vs. Test
Leo Burke arrives in the ring, first. Test’s entrance music hits. There’s a long wait before he finally comes through the entrance curtain. The ring announcer gets on the microphone and confirms that this match is to name the #1 contender to the International Heavyweight Championship. Finally, Test looks really happy. He enters the ring and security personnel immediately fan out around the ring. After the bell sounds, there is a bit of stalling as Test mouth’s off at Burke about how everything favours him tonight, and how Burke is a piece of trash, a worthless has been and so on and so forth. Test gets incredible heel heat here, but then Burke looks to the crowd and a ‘Le-o-Bur-ke’ rises from all corners of the Halifax Forum. Burke doesn’t say a word, he just looks to Test and points both of his hands outwards to the left and right. Test is not amused and charges full steam ahead and this fight is on. Unlike the previous night’s affair, this one is a first class slobberknocker. Test tends to get longer and more punishing blows in on Burke, but he does surprisingly well for himself in the opening minutes of this unscientific affair.
*Commercial Break 7*
When we return from the commercial break, we find that the brawling has spilled to the outside. The referee exits the ring to try to gain some semblance of order, but without worrying about retaliation from Chief Morley, Test decides to rid himself of the officiating problem by giving the referee a knee lift to the sternum and then whipping him violently into the ringsteps. With the referee taken out, Test escalates the level of violence, by ramming Burke’s head into the guardrail multiple times, then ripping up a section of the ringside gym mats and powerbombing his bloodied opponent on the exposed concrete floor! He takes Burke back into the ring. However, there is no referee in sight and none appear to be forthcoming. Test goes to the outside to try to revive the referee, but he is motionless. He tells a member of the security force assigned to ensure that no one interferes in the match to go backstage and bring a referee back with him. When he says that he can’t leave, Test decks him with a stiff right hand. He tells another one to leave and he does as he’s told. When Test turns around, he gets taken to the ground with the force of a mack truck by Burke, who leaps between the ropes to nail with a suicide dive. They’re both down for a while, but when they get up, they exchange a few blows. Test tries for a suplex, but Burke counters with his own vertical suplex. Burke takes Test back into the ring and sends Test into the corner. He charges in, then takes a boot to the face. Tet bursts out of the corner, but Burke sees him coming, sidesteps him and pulls off a quick drop toehold, crossface crippler combo. Test holds out for a few seconds, but then starts to tap out. However, there is still no referee. Finally, a referee emerges from the back with the security official. He runs into the ring to find Test tapping out and calls for the bell. Leo Burke is your #1 contender and will face Dean Malenko for the International Heavyweight Championship at PRIMETIME LIVE!
Official Decision: Leo Burke wins by submission
Ed Whalen: Would you look at that, Jeremy! Leo Burke wins and gets another chance at the gold!
Jeremy Borash: He deserves it, though. He’s earned it wouldn’t you agree?
Ed Whalen: Absolutely! At PRIMETIME LIVE on October 26, 2013, “The Iceman” Dean Malenko will defend the International Heavyweight Championship against Leo Burke.
Jeremy Borash: But will Malenko be in any shape to defend his title come PRIMETIME LIVE? He was brutally attacked by Frenchy Martin’s Montréal Mafia.
Ed Whalen: Yes, the North American Tag Team Champions assaulted the International Heavyweight Champion and finished off the attack with a brutal spiked piledriver. One has to wonder what condition Malenko is in.
Jeremy Borash: Hopefully, we’ll know more about his condition next week.
Ed Whalen: Yes, hopefully, we will. But until then, wrestling fans, in the meantime and in between time, have a wonderful week and we’ll see you back here, next week, on Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN!
