Ed Whalen: Good evening, wrestling fans! Welcome to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN, with your hosts Ed Whalen and Jeremy Borash, and with the very lovely and always charming SoCal Val taking care of business in the backstage area. Fans, we’re just one week away from the biggest event of the month – PRIMETIME LIVE! There have been six matches announced for next week, so far, and we’ll probably have a few more added to the card before the end of the night. What do you think, Jeremy?
Jeremy Borash: Well, Ed, I can already tell you that the Chief of Staff’s Office sent me an official news bulletin announcing the addition of a match between “Killer” Karl Krupp and the Junkyard Dog to the PRIMETIME LIVE lineup.
Ed Whalen: That’s a fairly big addition to the show. I can’t say that it isn’t completely unexpected given all of the fighting they did last week after Krupp injured JYD’s tag team partner, Bo Dallas.
Jeremy Borash: And in what will probably only add fuel to the fire, tonight, they will square off against each other in our main event. It’ll be nothing short of tag team warfare when “Killer” Karl Krupp and Test square off against Junkyard Dog and Leo Burke!
Ed Whalen: Test and Burke certainly aren’t the best of friends, despite their long history. It was only last week that we learned that Leo Burke trained Test to become a professional wrestler.
Jeremy Borash: It seems like Andrew “Test” Martin is hardly grateful. He’s displayed an elevated sense of superiority and a sense of entitlement since his arrival in AGPW and he has proven that he will walk over anyone to try to get his hands on the International Heavyweight Championship Title, even going so far as trying to prevent his one-time trainer and mentor from getting his hands on the title.
Ed Whalen: They’re scheduled to meet in a 2 out of 3 falls match next week, where Leo Burke plans to embarrass his one-time pupil by winning the match two falls to zero.
Jeremy Borash: Also, tonight, we’ll see a very special edition of the Piper’s Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper. His guest in the Pit will be none other than the International Heavyweight Champion, Dean Malenko. As we all know, he will defend his title against “Marvelous” Marc Mero at PRIMETIME LIVE. Will the “Marvelous One” decide to make a cameo appearance on the Piper’s Pit? We’ll find out later in the show.
Ed Whalen: And let’s not forget that the “Hot Rod” himself will have a tough match next week when he faces the Japanese Buzzsaw, Yoshihiro Tajiri, in a No Disqualifications match.
Jeremy Borash: That might be the match that I’m most excited to see, Ed. Tajiri is also in action tonight. He’ll be joined by the North American Tag Team Champions, Dino Bravo and Mad Dog Vachon, in a 6-man tag team match against the entire membership of Team Canada: Petey Williams, Eric Young and Johnny Devine.
Ed Whalen: This will be a preview of the tag team title match at PRIMETIME LIVE, where Bravo and Vachon will defend the titles against Williams and Young. Last week, Frenchy Martin warned them to pull out of the match or else face the prospects of suffer a devastating beating of the likes they’ve never experienced before. Tonight, they’re looking to give Williams and Young a little taste of what’s in store for them next week. However, I don’t think the challengers intend to back down from the champions.
Jeremy Borash: I wouldn’t count on it, Ed. Plus, we also know that Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero will face Magnus and Antonio Cesaro, and Chris Candido and Chris Hero will take on the Cuban Assassins. Will there be more matches announced for PRIMETIME LIVE? Stay tuned to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN to find out!
Ed Whalen: “Killer” Karl Krupp and Test versus Leo Burke and the Junkyard Dog, Dean Malenko on a very special Piper’s Pit and the Montréal Mafia versus Team Canada in 6-man tag action are all coming your way, tonight! We’ll get to – hey, what is Lance Storm doing?
Lance Storm comes to the ring. He’s not in the mood to joke around. He wants to be serious for a moment. He’s on a mission to find out who attacked him last week. He makes an open warning to the entire AGPW roster that if any of them were the masked man, he will find out, and he will make you suffer for attacking him. However, he says, that man can save himself a lot of trouble by coming to the ring and revealing his identity to Storm and the rest of the world right now!
And out he comes! The masked man with the fantastic cape comes to the ring. He enters the ring with a microphone in hand. When the music stops, Lance Storm begins by telling the man to reveal his identity. He shakes his head no. Storm isn’t amused and so then he tells him that he’s going to give the man a moment to voluntarily remove his mask or else he’ll forcibly remove it for him. The masked man shakes his head no. Storm throws the microphone down and starts walking towards the man, who backs into the corner. As he gets closer, the man goes for a kick, but Storm catches it. Then, he nails him with a vicious enzigurri kick! Storm looks like he’s been knocked unconscious. He drags Storm into position, climbs the turnbuckle and lands a moonsault on him. He gets up, grabs a microphone and says, “I’m the Blue Blazer and I’m here to bring justice and order to Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling. For my first act of justice, I am going to punish Lance Storm for committing the crime of theft!” Then he throws the microphone down and applies the sharpshooter to Storm! He keeps the submission hold locked in, while Storm screams in pain. The Blue Blazer refuses to let go of the hold until several officials storm the ring. Then he relinquishes the hold, hops out of the ring and makes his escape through the crowd.
Before the commercial break, we go backstage to the dressing room of Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch, where we see Cade putting his gear into a travel bag. Then, Murdoch enters the room and tells him that they’ve got a tag team match against The Jersey Shore tonight and that he’s really looking forward to beating the crap out of those club hopping trashbags from Jersey. Then, he notices that Cade is packing up his gear and dressed in street clothes. He asks him why he’s packing up his stuff and Cade tells him that he’s taking the night off. Murdoch repeats that they have a match and they get to beat up on some yankee morons, tonight. Cade says that he received tonight’s card and their names weren’t on it, so he decided to take the night off. He says he isn’t unpacking all of his gear again and tells Murdoch that he’ll have to care of business himself before walking out the door. Murdoch doesn’t look too pleased about it.

VS. w/
6-Man Tag Team Match
Team Canada vs. The Montréal Mafia w/ Frenchy Martin
Team Canada vs. The Montréal Mafia w/ Frenchy Martin
Team Canada is in the ring waiting for their opponents. The Montréal Mafia come out, but stop just short of the ring. Frenchy Martin gets on a microphone and, in between berating the fans, gives Williams and Young one more chance to pull out of next week’s tag team. He even goes as far as to promise to throw this match and let them have a win by forfeit if they agree to give up on their title shot. The three Canadians go into a huddle for a moment and then break the huddle to take out Bravo, Vachon and Tajiri with simultaneous suicide dives! Williams, Young and Devine grab one member of the Mafia each, and they begin the ringside brawl. The match hasn’t officially begun yet because we haven’t had one member from each team in the ring at the same time yet. The brawl works its way around the arena floor and everyone gets some shots in on their opposing brawling partners. This continues right up to and into our next commercial break.
*Commercial Break 2*
When we return from the break, we find that the match is officially underway, with Tajiri and Young duking it out inside the ring. Devine and Vachon are still out on the floor fighting somewhere and Williams and Bravo and going at it at ringside. The first pinfall attempt happens when Tajiri goes for a hurricanrana, but it gets countered into a powerbomb. Young covers, but only gets a 2-count. He picks up Tajiri and gives him a bridging northern lights suplex, which also gets a count of two. He scoopslams him and climbs the turnbuckle. As he’s climbing, Bravo gets up on the ring apron and pulls him by the trunks, taking him all the way down to the floor! Bravo takes a few steps, then dives off of the apron and nails Young with a side elbow drop. Meanwhile, Devine has returned to ringside and he climbs the turnbuckle and takes Tajiri down with a flying hurricanrana into a pin for two. As Tajiri gets up, Devine grabs him and executes a swinging neckbreaker. He pins, but the cover is broken up by Bravo. He picks up Devine and goes for a powerbomb, but Devine takes him over with a hurricanrana. He runs to the ropes and gets tripped up by Vachon, who then pulls him out the floor and levels him with a short-arm clothesline. Bravo gets up, but gets taken down again by Williams who gives him a tilt-a-whirl side Russian leg sweep. Williams looks to apply the sharpshooter, but Tajiri grabs him from behind and executes a release German suplex. Young springboards into the ring to take him down with a clothesline. He runs to the ropes and tries for a middle rope springboard moonsault on Bravo, but he puts his knees up. Then, Tajiri grabs him and locks him into the rope assisted tarantula for a few seconds. When he releases the hold, Tajiri gets speared into the nearby ringsteps by Rowdy Roddy Piper!
He rolls Tajiri into the ring, while the referee is busy watching Vachon and Williams sparring in the ring. Vachon takes both Williams and himself over the top rope with a clothesline. Piper catches the attention of Bravo. He hops out of the ring and Piper calls out insults while running away from ringside, luring Bravo into the chase. This opens up the opportunity for Devine to enter the ring and give Tajiri the Devine Intervention and cover him for the 3-count and the win.
Official Decision: Team Canada wins by pinfall
SoCal Val is with the Junkyard Dog, who is really ready to go, tonight. He’s looking to give us all a small preview of what will happen next week at PRIMETIME LIVE when he faces “Killer” Karl Krupp. He’s looking to score a little bit of retribution against Krupp for his brutal attack on his tag team partner, Bo Dallas, who he says will be out for a few weeks with injured ribs. JYD claims that Krupp is a bully who always takes things a little too far. Well, this is one dog that you can’t go too far on, says JYD. Because when you walk into his yard, this dog gets into battle mode and there’s nothing you’d rather not unleash than a dog that’s ready to fight!
*Commercial Break 3*
SoCal Val is on her interview set when French Martin, Mad Dog Vachon, Dino Bravo and Yoshihiro Tajiri arrive on the scene. Val asks if she can get a word with them. No one is in the right mood to talk. Martin takes the microphone from her hands and goes on a tirade about taking command of the situation and conquering the rest of Canada. He says that after next week, we can be sure of two things: 1) the Montréal Mafia are the real “Team Canada” and they’ll prove it by defeating Petey Williams and Eric Young; and 2) Yoshihiro Tajiri is the most dangerous man in Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling and he’ll prove it by obliterating Rowdy Roddy Piper, that is, if he even makes it to PRIMETIME LIVE.
Just then, Chief Morley arrives on the scene and warns Martin and his crew that if they dare go anywhere near the Piper’s Pit set, then he’ll strip Vachon and Bravo of their titles. They get into an uproar about it and claim that he can’t do that. However, he is the Chief of Staff and he has executive powers. He will not allow them to destroy the interview set again and he won’t let them interrupt the exclusive interview that Piper will have with the International Heavyweight Champion, Dean Malenko. He tells them that if any of them, no matter who it is, shows his face during the Piper’s Pit, Petey Williams and Eric Young will be the new North American Tag Team Champions faster than they can say, “Ce n’est pas juste!”
VS.
Kaientai vs. Cuban Assassins
This match begins with Kaientai using its speed to put the Cuban Assassins on their back legs. They stun the big men with quick moves in the beginning of the match, but the big men eventually get the upper hand when Funaki misses a dropkick attempt and then gets leveled by a clothesline. The Assassins isolate Funaki and really go to work on him. However, they can’t put him away as he kicks out of pinfall attempts and then gets bailed out by TAKA a few times. Funaki finally stops the onslaught when he gets out of the corner after a running shoulder block attempt by CA Jr, whose shoulder connects with the ring post. When he pulls himself out of the corner, he gets leveled with an enzigurri kick. Funaki crawls over and makes the hot tag. TAKA comes in and goes to work on both Assassins. He uses his speed to attack both men quickly. However, a leg lariat attempt is caught by CA Sr., who then walks him over to the side of the ring and dumps him out onto the floor. Funaki comes in and goes for a cross body block, but CA Sr. catches him and gives him three consecutive backbreakers before releasing him. TAKA goes for a springboard hurricanrana, but CA Sr. catches him and plants him onto Funaki with a powerbomb! CA Jr. leaps off of the second turnbuckle to land on both of them with a splash. CA Sr. then piles on top of everyone for the pin. The Cuban Assassins are victorious. After the match, CA Sr. takes a microphone and, in broken English, tells Chris Candido and Chris Hero that he and his son will destroy them at the PRIMETIME LIVE and, after they do, they will take Candido’s beautiful girlfriend home to Cuba to become the Cuban Assassin Jr.’s wife.
Official Decision: Cuban Assassins win by pinfall
SoCal Val is with Test, who is very vocal about how easy it will be to defeat Leo Burke next week. He promises to give us a preview of how easy it will be by pinning him in the middle of the ring to end tonight’s main event. Val asks him if he really believes that it’ll be easy to get two falls against Leo Burke. He tells her that he could score 500 pinfalls against Leo Burke with one hand tied behind his back – it’ll be that easy! Test says that Leo Burke is an old man who fools himself into thinking that he can still play a young man’s game. He’s not afraid of the “veteran,” because the very word is just a polite label to tag onto guys who are past their prime. Burke, according to Test, is past his prime and won’t be able to handle the punishment he’s going to get next week. When all he said and done, Test says, he’s going to rack up 3 pinfalls versus 0 against Leo Burke after tonight’s and next week’s matches.
*Commercial Break 4*
It’s time for the Piper’s Pit with its host, Rowdy Roddy Piper!
Piper receives a huge pop from the audience and he acknowledges the fact that he’s in Nova Scotia (New Scotland), putting over the majestic beauty of the Cape Breton highlands and stating that he feels like he’s among his people in Sydney, which brings gives him the loudest cheers and the biggest positive fan reactions of the night. Once he’s done whipping the crowd into a frenzy with the big Scottish love-in, he asks the audience to welcome his very special guest, the International Heavyweight Champion of AGPW, “The Iceman” Dean Malenko.
Malenko comes out and receives a warm response from the fans. Malenko maintains an ice cold demeanor despite the cheers. Piper begins the interview by asking him how he’s felt about his title reign to date. Malenko says that he hasn’t defended his title as much as he’d like to. He’d rather compete every night and put the title on the line each and every time because that’s what fighting champions do. Moreover, you shouldn’t doubt that he’s a fighting champion because he’s willing to face anyone at any time. Plus, he promises that he would defeat all challengers no matter who they are. He names several of the top competitors and even drops Piper’s name. Piper tells him to be careful of what he wishes for because if Malenko tempts him to go after the gold, he will surely take it from him without thinking twice about it. Malenko challenges him to try.
Piper is a competitive man by nature and so he needs a moment to cool down before shifting gears and asking Malenko about his upcoming match against “Marvelous” Marc Mero. Piper mentions how Mero has been on quite a roll recently. Whenever he seems to be on the verge of defeat, things always seem to go his way. He wants to know how Malenko will handle that. Malenko says that Mero is hardly going to pose a challenge. He’s seen how Mero barely squeezes out victories and they usually involve someone with an axe to grind against his opponents interfering to screw them out of victories. It happens time and again. However, Malenko isn’t worried about that happening because he doesn’t believe that he’s upset anyone that badly. Sure, there are plenty of people who hold grudges against him whether it’s because he’s defeated them or because he’s the International Heavyweight Champion and they envy his position at the top of the pyramid. However, he hasn’t made any real enemies.
That’s when Candice Michelle hits the scene and demands a word with Malenko. Piper gives her a moment to speak. She says that Malenko is delusional and wrong about so many things. He’s wrong about not making any enemies. His number one enemy is “Marvelous” Marc Mero. He became an enemy of the “Marvelous One” the day that he sided with Leo Burke to face Mero and Test. Plus, he’s wrong about Mero’s current string of victories. She claims that he’s won all of those matches because the competition simply cannot compare to his marvelousness! Malenko disagrees and talks down Mero’s abilities. He gets Candice Michelle so worked up while he talks about how pathetic Mero is that she slaps him across the face. Malenko doesn’t look impressed. Piper takes the microphone back and tells Candice Michelle that he didn’t let her come out here to get physical. He tells her that this is purely a talk show and that if she can’t check her temper at the door, then she can get off his interview set. She tells Piper to get bent and slaps him. He boils over and takes her by the wrist and gives her a stern warning.
This distraction gives Mero the chance he needs to whack Malenko in the back with a chair! Piper lets go of Candice Michelle and turns to take a chair shot to the face! Mero gives both Piper and Malenko a few more whacks from the chair while they’re both down. Candice Michelle gloats about it and then hands the microphone and International Heavyweight Title belt over to Mero. He gives it a very close look and speaks into the microphone, telling the word that this belt will look marvelous around his waist. Furthermore, he says that everyone needs only to wait one more week to finally get to see him wear it around his waist.

*Commercial Break 5*
Lance Storm enters Chief Morley’s office and tells him that he wants a match against the Blue Blazer at PRIMETIME LIVE. Morley tells him that he can’t promise him the match because the Blue Blazer is not on the AGPW roster. Furthermore, he says that he can’t sanction a match, nor can he guarantee that the Blue Blazer will come to the ring, unless he discovers the identity of the Blue Blazer – and even then, he says, he could only force him to the ring if it turned out to be someone on the AGPW roster. The most he can do is allow Storm to have a non-sanctioned match at PRIMETIME LIVE. Storm says that he’ll accept a non-sanctioned match against him. And so, Morley agrees to book a match, for Storm, but cautions him that it may not lead to anything. Storm tells Morley that he’s positive that if he books it, the Blue Blazer will come (OMG! Field of Dreams reference!).
VS.
Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. The Jersey Shore
Lance Cade decided to leave the arena earlier in the evening, which has effectively turned this one into a handicap match. Trevor Murdoch is in the ring without a partner. Both Robbies seem overconfident about their chances of winning this match given that they have a 2-to-1 advantage. The bell rings and Murdoch pleads for a moment to crack open a beer before they begin. Robbie E tells him to take all of the time he wants. Murdoch pulls a can off of his 6-pack, opens it and takes a swig, while the Robbies look on in disgust. Then, Murdoch hands the referee a beer and smashes his can across Robbie E’s forehead. Robbie T attacks him, but a whip attempt is reversed and Murdoch takes him down with a spinebuster. Murdoch picks up Robbie T and tosses him over the top rope. Robbie E grabs him in a waistlock, but can’t lift him. Murdoch elbows his head and then drops him with a full nelson slam. He immediately picks up Robbie E and gives him the Ace of Spaces powerbomb and scores the pinfall for the unexpected quick victory!
Official Decision: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch win by pinfall
We see Chris Candido and Sunny in their dressing room. Candido is trying to get Sunny to calm down, but she’s all worked up about the Cuban Assassins, who claim that they will take her to Cuba against her will and force her to marry Cuban Assassin Jr. Candido doesn’t take their threat seriously, but Sunny reminds him that they already tried to kidnap her a few weeks ago. Candido pleads with her to think about it rationally. He questions their ability to get through Canadian customs and leave the country with her, without her consent. Sunny says that she’ll have to stay at the hotel next Saturday just to be safe. Candido says that everything will be alright and that he and Chris Hero will make sure of that. Sunny mentions again that she doesn’t completely trust Hero, but Candido thinks she’s being extra paranoid. Chris Candido & Chris Hero will face the Cuban Assassins at PRIMETIME LIVE next week!
*Commercial Break 6*
VS.
Junkyard Dog & Leo Burke vs. “Killer” Karl Krupp & Test
Our main event begins with Leo Burke in the ring. He wants to square off with Test, but he won’t give Burke the satisfaction. He immediately tags “Killer” Karl Krupp into the match. Krupp and Burke lock up and it’s the big German who gets the better of Burke early on by using his power and size advantage to thrown him to the mat a couple of times, and then follows up by pounding away him. He gives him an arm bar and wristlock and tags Test into the match. He takes over from Krupp and works over Burke. Test loses the advantage after whipping Burke and trying for a back bodydrop. Burke counters it into a sunset flip, but Test kicks out. Test goes for a clothesline, but Burke ducks it and follows with a neckbreaker. Burke doesn’t go for the pin. Instead he crawls over make a tag. However, Krupp enters the ring and cuts him off by punting him in the chest! Junkyard Dog tries to get involved, but the referee holds him back. This allows Test and Krupp to double team. Together they pull Burke’s hair, gauge his eyes and choke him. They stop just in time to not get caught. Krupp leaves the ring, but gets tagged in right away. He continues to pound away on Burke as we go to our final commercial break.
*Commercial Break 7*
We return from the commercial to find that Burke is still taking a beating from his opponents. Test tags out and Krupp comes in. He takes Burke into the corner and gives him some stiff chops and a few knee lifts into the mid-section. Krupp sends Burke across the ring. He charges in, but Burke moves and Krupp’s running splash hits nothing but the turnbuckle. Burke stumbles to the ground and crawls towards his corner. Test enters the ring, getting the referee’s attention, while Burke makes the hot tag. JYD comes in and drops Krupp with a running clothesline. Test gets out of the ring and points out the JYD is in the ring “illegally,” and the referee stops him from doing any more offense. He forces him back to the corner, all the while JYD puts up a huge protest. This lets Krupp tags out. Test comes in and grabs Burke by the foot. He pulls him back towards the center of the ring, but then Burke boots him away using both of his feet. Burke makes a fast crawl towards the corner. Test tries to stop him, but he’s too late. JYD enters the ring and Test pleads with him à la Ric Flair, JYD is charged up and ready to go. He throws a fist, but Test blocks it and goes for a right hand of his own, which JYD blocks. Then, JYD connects with one of his powerful headbutts! Test is reeling. JYD grabs him by the head and gives him another blast of the ol’ noggin and down he goes. JYD motions for him to get up. Test gets up and JYD backs him into the ropes with several right hands. He goes for a whip, but Test reverses it. He tries for a dropkick, but JYD clutches the ropes. As soon as Test reaches his feet, he is tackled to the mat. JYD pounds away at him. Krupp comes in, but JYD must be omniscient because he gets up at the right moment to greet him with some right hands, chops, and kicks. JYD grabs Krupp and appears to be setting up for a suplex, but Test chop blocks the back of his left knee to cause him to crumple over. Burke comes into the ring and launches himself at Test, taking him down with a flying forearm. Krupp, meanwhile, tosses JYD out to the floor. He is about to leaves the ring, but he ends up falling through the ropes and onto the floor when Burke hits him in the side of the head with a running knee. Burke goes to the outside and puts the boots to him. The referee goes outside to try to restore some order. Meanwhile, Test heads out the other side and brings a chair into the ring with him just as JYD is climbing back into the ring. Test tries to hit him, but JYD blocks the chairshot and wrestles the chair out of his hands. He swings at Test, who ducks and runs under. JYD turns around and Test delivers the running big boot to the chair, smashing it into JYD’s face. Test gets rid of the weapon, then picks up JYD for the Test Grade. He pins and yells for the referee. He leaves Burke and Krupp to their heated brawl. The referee counts to three, giving Test and “Killer” Karl Krupp the win. Burke hears the bell. He charges back into the ring. Test makes a quick exit out the other side and has his hand raised in victory from the entrance aisle.
Official Decision: “Killer” Karl Krupp & Test win by pinfall
Ed Whalen: Test just stole that match, Jeremy!
Jeremy Borash: He said that he would go 3-0 over Leo Burke over the next two weeks and he’s now a third of the way there.
Ed Whalen: Yes, but he didn’t pin Burke.
Jeremy Borash: No, but you’ve got to think that Burke isn’t pleased with the outcome of this match. All of the moment is on Test’s side going into PRIMETIME LIVE!
Ed Whalen: You’re right, Jeremy. And what shape will JYD be in when he has to face “Killer” Karl Krupp one-on-one, next week?
Jeremy Borash: I don’t know, but taking that big boot with the chair to the face might mean that he won’t be at 100% come next week.
Ed Whalen: Well, fans, that’s all of the time we have. Please join us next week for PRIMETIME LIVE! You won’t want to miss! In the meantime and in between time, this is Ed Whalen thanking you for watching Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling on ASN. Good night everyone!
