WWE & BCCW present Battleground: CIVIL WARAn opening montage featuring the stars of BCCW and WWE running towards each other and then an explosion and at the end stating Civil War: BCCW vs. WWE Mark Lowrance welcomes everyone to the preview show and says that we are an our away from Civil War: BCCW vs.WWE live on pay-per-view as MUW and the fantasy wrestling universe will experience history here tonight in Toronto. On this preview show, we will hear from both Team BCCW and Team WWE before their epic main event, plus their will be three inter-promotional matches here tonight to get you ready for the pay-per-view. 1st Match: David Von Erich (WWE) beat Hernandez (BCCW) in 12:21 with the iron claw. This was a good match as Hernandez used his power early in the match, but David used his flexibility and scientific ability to pick up the win. Promo for the Civil War pay-per-view. Mark talks to Team BCCW and John Cena says that he is his team of legends here tonight against the WWE and that the time is now for BCCW to represent in MUW. He feels that they do not fear the reputation of Flair, Blanchard and the Outsiders and that takes to guide BCCW to victory and that is Word Life!! Match 2: The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) (Debut) beat Lita/ Mickie James (WWE) in 11:32 when Maria Kanellis came to ringside and rammed Lita into the ringpost and threw her in the ring where she suffered a face plant from Sky and the pin. Promo for Civil War Mark announces that their is a major development and that is last night in Cheswold, De., Ric Flair beat Steve Austin to win the WWE Title. However, Austin will still face Killer Kowalski at the pay-per-view with the winner getting a shot at the MUW World Champion Mark sends it to Mean Gene who talks to Team WWE and Ric flair says that tonight, his team will style and profile all over those scrubs BCCW, just like he did Stone Cold last night in Cheswold. Then, he warns the Insiders who are not here for this interview that if they try any funny business out there tonight that the horsemen will leave them for dead. On a final note, once Team WWE is victorious, then John Cena and his MUW World Title is next! Whoo!!! Promo for Civil War 3rd Match: BCCW Television ChampionshipBully Ray ©(BCCW) beat Mr. Wrestling II (WWE) in 12:33 when he nailed him with the chain while the ref was knocked down and TOXIC member Roman Reigns came to ringside, handed Bully his chain and tried to interfere - II nailed him with the kneelift - but Bully nailed him with the chain for the win. STILL BCCW Television champion: BULLY RAY (2013) Mark says thanks for watching the preview show and Civil War: BCCW vs. WWE sponsored by Coke is next on pay-per-view!!

** LIVE ON PPV **Broadcasting to you from beautiful Toronto Canada...WELCOME 2 BATTLEGROUND: CIVIL WAR!!! versus This is a special co-presentation of WWE & BCCW. Joint writing duties are shared by MSD & WWEFan, with commentary provided by Gordon Solie & Matt Striker. Marc Lowrance is the ring announcer. All matches sanctioned by the Canadian governing body & Mash-Up Wrestling. ** CUT TO OPENING VIDEO MONTAGE ** __________________________________________________________________________** BCCW Middleweight Championship **DEAN AMBROSE (2015) © versus RICKY "the Dragon" STEAMBOAT (1989) versus Pyro! 16,000 screaming fantasy wrestling fans! The Canadian National anthem! Toronto's own Frank Tunney (with nephew Jack) are in the skybox! We are LIVE on a historic night in fantasy wrestling, where all bets are OFF & every shaky house of cards stands on unstable ground! The battle for fantasy wrestling supremacy concludes tonight with BATTLEGROUND: CIVIL WAR!! First out the gate, is an incredible specimen of BCCW-action: Middleweight title defense between two of the hottest players in the game right now. Dean Ambrose (2015) w/ bodyguard Roman Reigns is the "Darkness" of fantasy wrestling, and holds a lofty position in the T.O.X.I.C. rogues gallery. On the other end of the spectrum is workrate freak Ricky Steamboat (1989) - fresh off his series of matches with Ric Flair that rejuvenated professional wrestling. Steamboat is the "Hero of Light" who blazes a lonely trail. Match feeds on the energy of the crowd (and helps wash away the Pre-show closing moments of Bully Ray leading TOXIC to glory). Now is the time for dark karmic redemption. Steamboat withstands every beating - Dean Ambrose absorbs every babyface rally. The neutralizer Roman Reigns is nullified when he's tossed from ringside early on by the ref (a sign of good sportsmanship if ever there were any)! Eventually Steamboat weathers the storm, mounts a titanic fan-driven comeback, and flattens Ambrose with a picture-perfect cross body! 1!.. 2!.. but Dean Ambrose rolls through on Steamboat and grabs a handful of tights for good measure! 1!.. 2!.. Dean Ambrose is going to steal another one!... NO! Steamboat rolls through again, and this time throws in a sick neck-bridge to boot! 1!.. 2!.. 3!! INSTANT SURPRISE SHOCK POP! Toronto explodes! The veil of TOXIC has been lifted! Winner (and NEW BCCW Middleweight champion): RICKY STEAMBOAT!!!** CUT TO BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE ** Official backstage correspondent MSD catches up with WWE Shane McMahon! He is on hand to watch this historic evening, though his interests are more sporting than personal. Shane respects Paul Bowser & had done business with BCCW in the past (see: BCCW presents Heatwave). He harbors no ill towards the organization and thinks it's a shame things got so personal between his pops & BCCW VP Sheldon Goldberg. Shane even has some cryptic quotes of his own... perhaps his own resignation???SHANE MCMAHON: I have never even considered a future outside the walls of the WWE. However, sometimes life takes an unexpected turn... First and foremost, I would like to thank my father for the incredible education working with him has provided and for giving me the opportunity to play a role in building WWE into the global phenomenon that it is today. I am extremely proud to have been the 4th generation in this business, and I am grateful for everyday I was able to work along side not only my own, but the entire WWE family. Thank you to all of the WWE Superstars both past and present for your passion, pride and dedication. You are truly the engine of the organization and it has been a pleasure to work with, learn from and get to know all of you. Thank you for the privilege of sharing the stage with you and for allowing me to become but a momentary member of your elite brotherhood. I have so much appreciation for the many sacrifices you endure, both physically and personally, to make this business the success that it is. The respect I have for each of you is immeasurable. Finally, there are no words to express my gratitude to WWE fans the world over for supporting this company through good times and bad and for your unbridled passion that fuels the Superstars' performances. I am profoundly grateful to have been able to entertain you both in front of the camera and from behind the scenes. You are the greatest fans in the world...(Shane McMahon: WWE.com 10/16/09)** CUT TO RING ** We now take you to WWE for the action: __________________________________________________________________________** WWE Tag Team titles **STEVE WILLIAMS & TERRY GORDY © versus STRIKE FORCE versus... WILD SAMOANS!! (WWE Debut) (Tag Team Triple Threat match) versus versus... WWE Tag Team Title Match (Triple Threat Match): Steve Williams/Terry Gordy(WWE) w/JJ Dillon beat Strike Force (WWE) and the Wild Samoans(BCCW) in 14:55 when Williams beat Martel with the powerslam as Gordy, Santana and the Samoans fought on the outside. Winners (and STILL WWE Tag Team champions): WILLIAMS & GORDY** CUT TO BACKSTAGE SEGMENT **Faithful backstage correspondent MSD is on the scene with the latest scoop: this event has such high stakes and prone to such corruption, that's why it was booked on the relatively "neutral" territory of Toronto Canada (away from the meddlesome American forces of WWE & BCCW). However, little does either company realize - the other has just as many pieces North of the Border as well. Here's the way the line moved - it started with WWE favored by seven, then down to four, where it paused for an hour of two, then down to zero - and then back up to two. The average bettor who saw this price movement wouldn't know what was going on & would probably pass on it. That meant almost all of the money wagered on this particular evening was laid by professional gamblers... Just then we are interrupted by the casual walk-on entrance of THE FIRM Wild Red Berry, David Otunga & special consultant Damien SandowThey cut a brief, condescending promo on MSD and his lack of "insider" knowledge. The Firm claim to hold knowledge of a "dumper" inside BCCW willing to sell out his own brand! While it's true the FIRM were technically "banned" tonight from the PPV, that doesn't mean they can't be "invited guests" (flash their special-issue WWE backstage passes!) Beware the Fantasy Wrestling Illuminati! Fixers Incorporated is in business!! We now take you back to BCCW for the action...__________________________________________________________________________** WWE versus BCCW **MILDRED BURKE © (BCCW) versus TAYLOR MADE © (WWE) w/ Larry Sweeney
** Woman's Bout ** versus w/ Another certified fantasy-wrestling classic & joint BCCW/WWE production. The Woman's Wrestler of the future, Taylor Made (reigning WWE champion) - versus the longest-reigning & undefeated champion in woman's fantasy wrestling history - Mildred Burke. Her record-setting reign will stretch to a remarkable 365 days+ in November. But that's only if MBurke can survive Larry Sweeney's crown jewel tonight... Taylor Made (w/ Sweeney) walk out first to boos - MBurke is received with a heroes welcome. Tale of the tape, fight introductions, and Danny Davis is our referee. Both woman start slow, feeling each other out, until Taylor Made gets an "accidental eyepoke" to set up her first wave of offense. Taylor Made tries wearing Burke down with brawling, but when MBurke finally fights back - watch out. Eurupean uppercuts and stiff chops galore leave Taylor Made gasping in her managers arms at ringside. Finally, Sweeney's interference pays off & once again Taylor Made is in control. She nearly ends the bout on numerous occasions, but MBurke refuses to quit. Ultimately, MBurke fights back - takes out Larry Sweeney to great fan acclaim - and sinks her teeth into Taylor Made for good. A tap-out submission (via Ronda Rousey-armbar) quickly follows! MBurke retains her bullet-proof professional facade & adds another layer of credibility to her self-proclaimed "WORLD Woman's Championship"! Winner (by submission): MILDRED BURKEBut right in the middle of MBurke's celebratory shout-outs, she is rudely interrupted by the theme song of Toronto's very-own TRISH STRATUS!!! OMFG this place comes unglued! Just like that, MBurke has been upstaged..."Top Shelf" Trish Stratus is in Toronto! MONSTER POP!MBurke remains cordial & professional while Trish Stratus takes center stage in her hometown, hamming it up & accepting the fan appreciation with over-the-top theatrics & sarcasm. Trish even shakes MBurke's hand & ask for a microphone. "Top Shelf" Trish Stratus in the building! In Toronto! On PPV! Trish cuts a brief but vain & self-absorbed promo putting over her spot in the woman's wrestling pantheon, and giving MBurke subtle little back-handed compliments (like "another 365-day reign and we may have more cottage cheese in the crowd than in Mildred's granny panties! Tee hee, I'm just kidding!"). After hogging the spotlight, and ostensibly "welcoming" MBurke to Toronto & congratulating her on victory - Trish extends the handshake of mutual respect again... but unleashes a hellacious SLAP to MBurke instead! Trish Stratus lets Mildred Burke know how she *REALLY* feels!!Crowd instinctively pops, but it's definitely mixed reaction as it settles in! Trish Stratus smirks & slides to the safety of ringside, while a stunned MBurke looks on from the mat! What a catty & fake bitch! Trish Stratus runs Toronto - and she should be the face of Woman's Wrestling! Trish leaves a little something for the fans to remember her by... ** CUT TO BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE ** Interview with the 4 Horsemen/Insiders!! (Ric Flair & Miz cover mic duties - while JJ Dillon, Buddy Rogers, Matt Morgan, Tully Blanchard & WWE Tag Team champions Williams & Gordy all stand behind them cackling away). The bad guys scoff at Team BCCW's "secret team member" and surmise they probably don't have a 4th member at all! But just in case, the bad guys claim to have a secret line-up of their own this evening that they won't be revealing until main event time! (It is common inside knowledge at this point that Tully Blanchard failed a pre-fight drug test for cocaine & will NOT be competing tonight... and Scott Hall *no-showed* the PPV!) So there is legit concern over who the 4th member of Team WWE will be. Or is this all just part of their ploy?? Stay tuned to find out!!We now take you to WWE for the action: __________________________________________________________________________** WWE versus BCCW **BRET "HITMAN" HART (1993) vs ALBERTO DEL RIO (2013) (Submission Match) versus Submission Match: Bret Hart (WWE) beat Alberto Del Rio(BCCW) in 17:08 with the sharpshooter after Bret rolled through the cross arm breaker and did a double leg takedown into the sharpshooter and got Alberto into the center of the ring where Alberto tapped out to the overwhelming ovation of the fans for Canada's own Hitman. It was a clinic in submission holds with neither man giving up until the end. Winner: BRET "HITMAN" HART** CUT TO BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE ** Intrepid backstage correspondent MSD is with BCCW President Paul Bowser & VP Sheldon Goldberg - who provide some exclusive comments for the show. They stop short of formally announcing the 4th member of Team BCCW however. VP Sheldon Goldberg addresses the Firm's "dumper" comments from earlier, and claims that is why William Muldoon was relieved of his Commissioner duties. Suddenly - all 3 men's faces DROP in shock at the surprise walk-on entrance of...TOOTS MONDT!! ** Who is Toots Mondt?** Right-hand consigliere to Vince McMahon SENIOR who revolutionized pro-wrestling as part of the Gold Dust Trio and helped found WWWF (now WWE). Original founder of BCCW, before being driven into exile amid a host of unsavory allegations. Fled the East Coast & resurfaced in California, where he helped co-found the Mash-Up version of XPW Remixed. After driving that company into the ground and conspiring with the newly-crowned WORLD champion of wrestling, Toots Mondt once again disappeared into the Mists. Until tonight...Toots Mondt (nefarious strong-arm business man, monopolizer, collaborator & gambler) is here to announce his *FORMAL* position in the WWE Hierarchy as VKM Jr's personal adviser! That means Toots Mondt is here on behalf of VKM Jr himself to monitor his interests! Another huge shocker, as Toots Mondt as revealed to be the on-screen avatar of Vince McMahon! ** CUT TO RING ** BCCW continues with the action...__________________________________________________________________________SHEAMUS (2012) versus BIG JOHN STUDD (1984)
** Super Heavyweight Grudge Match ** versus Video recap of this harrowing feud has you thinking you stumbled upon the celestial plane of Gods where giants out of Norse mythology wage epic battle. Studd enters to boos as his "TRUE giant of fantasy wrestling!" claims still ring loud. Sheamus enters ready for war & greeted with cheers. By the time the Pale Swordsman takes center ring, Studd has exited stage-left to watch on. The bell rings and we’re ready to start things off. No lock-up, this is straight slugging! Sheamus wins the exchange, Studd wants to bail, but Sheamus follows him to the narrow, en-caged ringside area to continue the beat down! Sheamus tries to tie Big John Studd up in the ropes but Studd answers with an elbow to the eye. After another brief skirmish, Sheamus finally succeeds in wrapping Studd in the ropes & unleashing his crowd-pleasing series of clubbing forearms to the chest of Studd. Commentators discuss the specter of BCCW HW Champion Killer Kowalski who looms over this match, and is appearing in semi-main event action later tonight. Studd is able to catch a charging Sheamus with a kick, but when he rebounds off the ropes aiming for a clothesline, Sheamus uses Studds momentum to pitch him overhead with an impressive fall away slam! Crowd cheers! Studd staggers to his feet but gets clotheslined over the top rope! Back to the narrow ringside area and Sheamus starts using the cage walls to his advantage! Studd is ruthlessly bashed to and fro! But Sheamus seems so intent on dishing out punishment (remember Crusher Casey! See BCCW TV Episode #27) that he forsakes certain victory on occasion. Instead of finishing the bout he continues the onslaught. Eventually he almost gasses himself out and even the cheers of the Toronto faithful can't sustain him. Sheamus tries for a crazy top-rope superplex, but Studd fights him off & drops him to the mat. It's all downhill for Sheamus from there, as Studd exerts control. The pummeling continues in & around ringside, with Sheamus coming up bloody one point from the cage walls! Unlike Sheamus, Studd *does* go for the quick win numerous times - but Sheamus won't die. Sheamus tries for a desperate Brogue Kick counter, but Studd crotches him & boots him to the floor. Sheamus drags Studd to the floor again but eats a huge tomahawk chop in response. Studd catches a breather in the ring while Sheamus struggles to re-enter. BAM! Another tomahawk chop from Studd for the closest 2 count of the match. Studd tries for an avalanche, but eats corner ringpost instead when Sheamus dodges! With the big man (and so called "True Giant of Fantasy Wrestling") John Studd reeling, Sheamus hits a series of moves culminating in a *super* impressive version of White Noise! Sheamus feels the momentum, gets a 2nd wind from the crowd, and finally kicks Studd's head off with his Brogue Kick for the emotional finish! 1!.. 2!.. 3!! Sheamus earns his blood stained victory inside Hell in a Cell!!Winner: SHEAMUSDuring his near-exhausted post match promo, Sheamus nonetheless draws the energy to truly speak his mind. Quite frankly, the shenanigans with the BCCW Heavyweight championship that led to the resignation of Commissioner William Muldoon are BULLSHIT! (oooo even Solie & Striker fall silent). The main event tonight is a SHAM! The world you are living in is CORRUPT! That's why - with his message sent loud & clear tonight - and in support of the exiled William Muldoon - Sheamus *QUITS* BCCW! With that, Sheamus slams the mic into MSD's chest and storms out the ring (cage walls lifted during his speech), taking time to pose with the fans & slap hands! What a surprising development tonight @ Battleground: CIVIL WAR!! The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed! Sheamus QUITS fantasy wrestling over rampant corruption! ** CUT TO BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE **
Interview with BCCW Heavyweight champion Killer Kowalski - he had a meeting earlier today with VINCE MCMAHON JR himself & Toots Mondt about abandoning the BCCW belt! Because it is only a matter of time before Killer is the new WORLD champion! The Kowalski reign of terror continues tonight when he cuts the head off a rattlesnake in Toronto!!
Interview with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (POP!!!) - who doesn't give a rats ass about point spreads, double-crosses or Killer Kowalski! Austin was robbed of the WWE title and if this business has taught him anything, it's DON'T TRUST ANYBODY!Kowalski vs Austin - winner receives a future WORLD title shot! Next! We now take you to WWE for the action: __________________________________________________________________________** WWE versus BCCW **STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN versus KILLER KOWALSKI © versus Winner gets MUW World Title Match: Steve Austin(WWE) beat BCCW Champion Killer Kowalski in 13:33 with the stunner. Austin was dominant throughout most of the match and Kowalski did not have an answer for the unrelenting attack from an enraged former WWE Champion. Winner: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN** CUT TO BACKSTAGE INTERLUDE **Interview with the DREAM TEAM (Cena/Rhodes/Sammartino!) They show a united front & promote the significance of tonight (including the fact that Stone Cold Steve Austin now holds a potential WORLD title shot against John Cena... fruits of Austin's victory tonight). But will the rattlesnake be the 4th member of Team BCCW?? The Dream Team remains mum on the subject, but promise a special surprise courtesy of our friends in the BCCW management hierarchy! Stay tuned, the historic BCCW vs WWE main event is NEXT!!** CUT TO RING ** __________________________________________________________________________** Main Event **TEAM BCCW versus TEAM WWE
** Survivor Series Rules ** versus Despite the so-called "impartial crowd", the WWE Team is greeted with thunderous BOOS - while BCCW is heavily cheered. It's clear who the "babyfaces" & "heels" are. In a brilliant twist (according to them at least), the 4 Horsemen reveal a starting line-up of RIC FLAIR (1987), MIZ (2011), Matt Morgan (2010)... and ARN ANDERSON (1989)!! That leaves advisers JJ Dillon & "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers to accompany them ringside. Order of Elimination:1) Bruno Sammartino (quick count-out after battering Flair to near-death in a wild ringside brawl between both teams that spilled into the crowd! JJ Dillon helped Flair slide back into the ring at 9.5) 2) Matt Morgan (FUAA / Bionic Elbow combo from Cena & Rhodes) 3) Arn Anderson (DQ after a ringside steel-chair shot rendered Dusty Rhodes a bloody mess) 4) (unofficially "eliminated") JJ Dillon (removed from the ring on a stretcher after a huge crowd-pleasing FUAA into STFU from John Cena! Thanks for the interference! Begone!) 5) Dusty Rhodes (Flair & Miz illegal double-team) John Cena - outnumbered 2-to-1 - suffers a brutal beatdown at the hands of Ric Flair & The MIZ. He kicks out of numerous near-falls, but it's clear the time of reckoning is at hand...Suddenly - a savior appears! HULK HOGAN!!He's back! Hulk Hogan is back! Superman is in the building!!Hulk Hogan is the 4th member of Team BCCW! Hogan takes his position on the ring apron, awaiting the hot tag from Cena, while the fantasy wrestling world goes CRAZY in response! Hulk Hogan is in the building! He helps rally the crowd behind Cena, who is forced to withstand another Miz/Flair offensive volley! They taunt & tease Hulk Hogan, keeping the beat down going on Cena and ratcheting up the crowd intensity! Eventually Cena makes the titanic comeback - fights Flair & Miz off - and GETS THE HOT TAG! Crowd goes bonkers! Hulk Hogan surges into the ring to clean house... and BOOTS JOHN CENA IN THE FACE! (?!?!?) No... No! NO!!! YES! Hogan points at Flair & Miz - who smile conspiratorially! Hogan rips off the yellow shirt to reveal his black-n-white NWO-themed apparel! Flair & Miz hold Cena down on the mat! Commentators are going ballistic! The crowd is booing voraciously! The cancerous scourge of professional wrestling is BACK! Legdrop to Cena! Legdrop to Cena (2x)! Legdrop to Cena (3x)!! Hogan covers Cena himself while Miz counts the pinfall! 1! 2! 3!! BOOOOOOO! Team WWE is declared the victor! "Winners": TEAM WWEMSD: Hulk Hogan, excuse me. Excuse me! What in the world are you thinking? HULK HOGAN: The first thing you need to do is to tell these people to shut up if you wanna hear what I've got to say… The first thing you gotta' realize, brother, is this right here is the future of wrestling! You can call this the *REAL ILLUMINATI of FANTASY WRESTLING!!. These two men right here came from a great big organization up north and everybody was wondering who the third man was. Well, who knows more about that organization than me, brother?… Let me tell you something. I made that organization a monster. I made people rich up there. I made the people that ran that organization rich up there. That's why these two guys here, the so-called "insiders", these are the men I want as my friends! They are the new blood of professional wrestling, brother. And not only are we going to take over the whole wrestling business with Hulk Hogan and the new blood, the monsters with me, we will destroy everything in our path!![Fans pelt the ring with garbage]MSD: Look at all of this crap in this ring! This is what's in the future for you if you want to hang around with the likes of these men! HULK HOGAN: As far as I'm concerned, all of this crap in the ring represents these fans out here. For two years, brother, for two years I held my head high. I did everything for the charities. I did everything for the kids. And the reception I got when I came out here - you fans can stick it, brother. Because if it wasn't for Hulk Hogan you people wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, all these Johnny Come Lately's that you see out here wrestling wouldn't be here. I was selling out the world, brother, while they were pumping gas in their car to get to high school. So the way it is now, brother, with Hulk Hogan and the Illuminati of Wrestling, me and the new blood by my side, whatcha gonna do when the New World Organization runs wild on you!?!?MSD: Don't touch me, I got a team of lawyers! Loaded card. And just pure fun in general. Excellent effort all around, man. The big turn at the end felt like a HUGE moment & then some. Must applaud the way ya kept it simple, too. Channeling Hulk's Bash at the Beach speech, brought up to date of course, totally fit the bill for things here. Mighty cool of you to "do the honors" for the WWE brand here. Puts them over in a major way, while still of course maintaining Broken City at the upper echelon right alongside 'em. As far as most invasions and crossovers go, this one actually ironed out incredibly well. No significant complaints from me, really. For viewing purposes, I bet both Bret/Berto and Austin/Kowalski would've been must-see. Kudos for kicking up a lot of spotlight & attention for the hometown heroes as well. Bret & Trish felt like top-flight attractions from the area, and rightfully so. Couldn't help but get a kick out of the announcement that Hall had no-showed, and Tully popped positive for a piss test. Say it ain't so! Your booking of the women's division has radically revitalized the competition, in my eyes. Burke versus Stratus already packs a punch, and it's only just beginning. Digging the approach already though. Oh, and hey. Bonus points for the added Trish clip, for sure. =D Gotta be brutally honest - I was disappointed to see Ambrose come up short here. He dropped the belt to a PREMIERE piece of talent in Steamer, of course, but even so? I'm hoping he rebounds. Dean's one heck of a talker, so if anybody can pull off the trick of making a title loss feel more like a "shedding dead skin" process, it's him. Anxious to see how things come together for Dean and TOXIC, pressing forward. Really liked the sense of brutality & aggression we got with the Hell In A Cell element. It provided a purely fun punch-n-kick style brawl. It told a great little story. Just when I thought Sheamus was struggling to regain his footing in Boston, ya go and book him into a TREMENDOUS program with Studd that entirely resurrected his presence for me. This battle got Sheamus back on the map, in what felt like fine fashion at first... only to have Sheamus go and yank the rug right out from under our feet! Didn't see that coming at all. Big revelation. Part of me wants to think it's only a temporary extension of the angle, but if this really IS the last we'll see of Sheamus in Broken City - then I'm disappointed. It's a neat twist, and it plays nicely into the bigger story of Muldoon's expulsion. But I don't know. Sheamus just feels right @ home for me here.

My feedback's a bit delayed, but I wanted to offer it up, anyway.
I liked this show. It impressed me, largely because of the big surprise ending. No one saw Hollywood Hogan fucking over BCCW like that. I doubt anyone thought Hogan would be joining the BCCW team in the first place. Huge props to you guys for the huge finale.
The one thing that I'm very critical about is the booking of the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Killer Kowalski match. Because I love you guys, I need to be honest with you about it. I didn't like it at all. I think the ball was dropped on the second biggest match of the evening and I think it causes the event to suffer a bit for it. Were this real life and I was paying out money to watch the top champions of both companies go to war against each other, I'd have been pissed to find out that the match was no longer a champion versus champion bout. I don't like the way that the WWE title was removed from Flair and then put back on him at the last minute. I get that the title was transferred to Austin to justify putting him in the match against Kowalski. I have no problem with that. What I think is poor decision making is the decision to remove the title from him, at the last minute, and keep him in the match against Kowalski. When you spend a bunch of time promoting a champion versus champion match and you don't follow through, a significant portion of your fanbase is going to be upset at you for doing that. Plus, what's perhaps worst of all is that Austin - who is not his company's champion - goes on to bury Kowalski, making the BCCW Champion look weak in the process.
Other than the booking of that one match, I liked everything else. I was stoked to see Steamboat win the title, I enjoyed the WWE Tag Title match, and all of the shenanigans surrounding the cross-promotional match between Women's Champions (that is an example of how the cross-promotional champions match was done right). I also really dig Sheamus quitting, although I will echo the sentiments of Something Savage by saying that I hope it isn't a permanent departure from BCCW.
Overall, it was a really strong show, but not perfect because of the mishandling of the match that should have featured both the WWE and BCCW Heavyweight Champions.

Slade you've taken the words right out of my mouth. The schitzophrenic booking of Austin in the weeks leading up this event has been haphazard at best. And I know it's only a "live event", but sometimes that footage is televised and seeing Steve Austin lose cleanly to Ultimate Warrior so soon after beating the BCCW champion was preposterous. Aside from his handling, the rest was phenemonenal. Simply put this was an amazing show, fellas. I commend you both for the presentation. It came together in a way that was really historic and I know through conversations with MSD that this exciting chapter in Mash-Up Wrestling history is far from over. Congratulations to both of you on the wonderful job, and the REAL winner of BCCW vs WWE was the fans!
