** BCCW has 6 recognized championships: ** Heavyweight (225 lbs +) Middleweight (205 lbs +) Flyweight (under 200 lbs) Television title (catch weight) 6-Man Tag Team titles World Woman’s championship** BCCW produces a 70-minute block of programming on the Comcast Sports channel (home of the Boston Celtics) with ads for other Mash-Up Wrestling network features. This is pre-recorded footage from this weeks BCCW TV Episode, and is included in the DVD/mp4 resale of each event. Commercials come in top-heavy loads throughout and matches continue uninterrupted (DVD/mp4 reissues contain no commercials). There are strictly enforced TV time limits of 15 minutes. ** ** BCCW Fight Night is inspired by UFC events of the same name, but also shares similarities with WWE Main Event (in that usually one particular main event match is hyped throughout the show). Tonight it is the LIVE PRELIMS B4 HEATWAVE! ** ** Post match protocol calls for the bout winner to be granted a 90-second interview piece with in-ring correspondent MSD (like Joe Rogan in the UFC, or Larry Nelson on AWA ESPN classic reruns). ** ** William Muldoon is on-screen commissioner. All matches sanctioned by Mash-Up Wrestling. ** ** THIS IS BCCW!!**** RINGSIDE COMMENTARY TEAM ** Gordon Solie & Matt StrikerWelcome to the warm-up before Heatwave. Tonight BCCW has constructed a masterful fantasy-wrestling extravaganza - a PPV level product - that is being aired LIVE & FREE on broadcast TV! Generating millions of viewers and re-arranging rival networks scheduling blocks! Other smaller independent organizations shuttered their doors in anticipation of this incredible night - some even closing up shop, deleting their screen name and vanishing into the Mists for good! BCCW brings the kind of pressure that squeezes diamond from coal. It's a sunny 85 degrees in Money Massachusetts without a hint of humidity (or humility)! Tonight we crank up the temperature on the Summerslam Challenge & let the world know - Mash Up Wrestling is the only home for the most potent fantasy wrestling in the galaxy!! Stay tuned!! ** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________INSIDERS vs MIL MASCARAS / PAUL LONDON / &... JOHN MORRISON!
** BCCW 6-Man Match ** vs Insiders in-ring promo (incensed over being left off the card - a byproduct of their feud with BCCW Commissioner William Muldoon, they presume) leads to a brief Mil Mascaras spanglish retort - and this 6-Man match-up. After the BiB3 fiasco (and Rhino turn), Mascaras is much smarter about filling out a team of superstars. The surprise factor is the return of JMo to BCCW action. Morrison is familiar enough with Miz to play the spoiler role, and helps pick up the win for his team with a Starship Pain! The high-flying trio dismiss the haters & negativity to start this show off with a positive bang! Winners: MIL/LONDON/MORRISON** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Hype up the forthcoming Heatwave event on USA... including the cordial invitation of BCCW President Paul Bowser for anyone from the McMahon family to attend the event as his guest...__________________________________________________________________________TEXAS TORNADO (1990) vs RHINO (2006)
** Heavyweight Bout ** versus Solid heavyweight bout. Rhino exploited a set of weak ribs on Von Erich to dodge a spinning discus punch and rebound with an explosive GORE! GORE! GORE!!! off the ropes for the pin. The man-beast Rhino is solo with an ax to grind. He has BCCW championship gold on his mind... Winner: RHINO** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Hype the BCCW Heavyweight championship match between champ Killer Kowalski & challenger Dusty Rhodes tonight @ Heatwave... Killer Kowalski-guy Kenny Dykstra will be in solo action later on this card... meanwhile, we're just getting word that WORLD champion JOHN CENA (2013) has arrived in the building!!__________________________________________________________________________The Champ Is HereWords from the WORLD champion John Cena RE: his main event title match tonight against the ULTIMATE WARRIOR! Cena cuts an intense, thrilling promo that stokes the flames of competition & cuts thru all the political minefields & bureaucratic red-tape CRAP! The fans demand action and John Cena always delivers! But "No comment" on the rumor that John Cena had a long business meeting with Shane McMahon prior to this event... ** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Brief promo from Heavyweight champ Killer Kowalski (surrounded by his bodyguards Big John Studd & Giant Bernard). Kowalski promises doom & gloom for Dusty Rhodes tonight. "The American Dream is about to turn into a nightmaaaaaaare!!!"__________________________________________________________________________ TOMMASO CIAMPA vs KENNY DYKSTRA (w/ Misty Blue) vs KOFI KINGSTON
** Middlweight Triple Threat ** vs w/ vs Showcase match for all 3 men (with TCiampa - the Apex Predator-lite - the only *true* babyface). Kofi Kingston is the anti-hero Dark Samurai, while Kenny Dykstra is put over heavily as "the chosen one" or "crown jewel" of Killer Kowalski's stable. He's a sure-fire blue chipper and even has the lady on his arm (Misty Blue circa 1990). Kenny Dykstra scores the pin after an incredible top-rope pump legdrop dropped on TCiampa's throat precisely after the Sicilian Psychopath had driven Kofi into the mat with his Project Ciampa finisher. Perfect timing on the strike, and Kenny was able to pick up the impressive victory. He moves up the BCCW Middleweight rankings with this showing tonight. Winner: KENNY DYKSTRA** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Highlights of Chris Sabin's incredible & harrowing return from injury (circa 2013) and his climb back up the BCCW FW mountain. We close with a harsh promo from champion Low-Ki (2003) and his Rotten Wildaz cornermen, including the loudmouth Julius Smokes who talks MADD S*** tonight about the white-boy Sabin. BCCW FW title match coming up next!!!__________________________________________________________________________** BCCW Flyweight Championship **LOW-KI (2003) vs CHRIS SABIN (2013) vs Sabin overcomes adversity, defies the odds (as his return from injury is masterfully exploited on commentary) and even offsets the Rotten Wildaz crew with a little help from his friends (MCMG partner Alex Shelley & members of Team 4:20 Ruckus & Brian Kendrick). The onus is on the incredible match between Low-Ki & Sabin that involved crisp striking & aerodynamic artistry. "THIS IS AWESOME!" & "LET'S GO SABIN!" chants abound. In the end, after the locker-room clearing brawl between the two camps - Sabin & Ki are left alone in the ring to conclude their masterpiece. Missed Warriorz Way from Low-Ki into a "future shock" from Sabin for the cover! 1!.. 2!.. 3!! WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! The fans erupt with joy!!! Winner (and NEW BCCW FW Champion): CHRIS SABIN 2013!!** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________OUTROCommentators (alongside BCCW President Paul Bowser) are giving the last-minute run down of the Heatwave show, and enticing viewers to tune in to the event as it airs LIVE & FREE on the USA Network! Coming up next! But wait a moment, we've got a few seconds left in our satellite feed.. and we're just getting word of a special visitor arriving in the building... MSD, can we get our cameras out back quickly??.. CUT BACKSTAGE SHANE MCMAHON!?!?!?OMG!? WTF?!? What's going to happen next as BCCW presents HEATWAVE?!? STAY TUNED to find out!!!** FADE OUT ** __________________________________________________________________________

Now airing from sunny MA...
A perfect 75 degrees outside in Boston today...
But inside the old Boston Garden it's 110+...
We're Broadcasting LIVE on the USA Network...
Ladies & gentleman...** THIS IS BCCW!! **AND THIS IS HEATWAVE!!!** RINGSIDE COMMENTARY TEAM ** Gordon Solie & Matt StrikerPyro! Loud music! Screaming fans! This is BCCW and this is HEATWAVE!! We turn the dial up on the fantasy wrestling universe like the Celtics turning up the heat in their opponents locker room! See these other weak scribes sucking from oxygen tanks on the bench like Kareem & James Worthy! John Cena vs Ultimate Warrior! Dusty Rhodes vs Killer Kowalski! Sheamus vs Big John Studd! And many more fantasy-wrestling Dream Matches! Nobody does it bigger, better or BADDER than BCCW! Prepare for Civil War!! ** CUT TO RING ** __________________________________________________________________________** BCCW Heavyweight Championship **KILLER KOWALSKI (1968) © versus DUSTY RHODES (1988) versus Slobber-knocker brawl that spills around ringside and beyond, getting the fans involved early... All of Kowalski's goons have been banned from interfering, per decree of BCCW President Paul Bowser... referee catches an errant Kowalski boot and is temporarily KO'd... this allows some mild shenanigans in the form of SLYCK WAGNER BROWN (2013) attempting some interference on behalf of his mentor Killer Kowalski... but SWB eats a series of Bionic Elbows instead and is dispatched... Rhodes is on a roll and winds up KO'ing Kowalski with another series of concussive Bionic elbows! Big elbow drop on Kowalski's throat! A replacement referee slides into the ring! 1!.. 2!.. 3!!! OMG the roof just blew off the building! We have a new champion! We have a new champion! The fans & Dusty himself are jumping with joy!Winner (and NEW BCCW HW Champion): DUSTY RHODES** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Wild Red Berry is irate over this turn of events, and his Firm are taking charge!!CUT! All of our celebration comes to a screeching halt with the patronizing entrance of Kowalksi' legal team THE FIRM (feat: Wild Red Berry, advisor Damien Sandow & Legal consultant David Otunga). Berry and his multi-syllabic vocabulary (think: late 90s Bob Backlund) dispute the finish of the match... BCCW VP Sheldon Goldberg himself must get involved... and we get the classic "Dusty Finish". Kowalski was actually DQ'd by the original referee for hitting him, therefore while he still loses the match - Kowalski retains the HW championship...Winner (and STILL BCCW HW Champion): KILLER KOWALSKIOf course the fans erupt with anger, and Dusty Rhodes saves face by clearing the ring and dismantling Wild Red Berry personally with a huge guillotine elbow drop! Dusty Rhodes may have won the battle, but this war is far from over! Killer Kowalski leaves MA once again as BCCW HW champion, but surely his luck is running out! (look at him being carted backstage by his bodyguard Giant Bernard & Big John Studd, half-conscious from the Bionic Elbow assault he just suffered)... ** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** Dusty Rhodes & Sheamus cut a promo together, addressing both the previous issue - and upcoming match. Sheamus is calling out Big John Studd! Oh my, the Super-Heavyweight Grudge match will be NEXT!!** match segue ** __________________________________________________________________________SHEAMUS (2012) versus BIG JOHN STUDD (1984)
** Super-Heavyweight Bout ** versus Classic big-man slobberknocker, with a still-mobile Big John Studd tangling with the same Celtic Warrior that wrote 5-star classics with the Big Show in late 2012. Stiff & intense. Sheamus winds up hitting his forearm smashes while bending Studd backwards over the steel guard rail @ ringside! All of Kowalski's goons had been banned from his title match earlier, but no specific provision was put into place here. That means fellow "Kowalski-Guy" SLYCK WAGNER BROWN (circa 2013) w/ April Hunter (2003) appears in the crowd (masquerading as a fan) - and *HITS* Sheamus with a water bottle (his favorite tactic!) Sheamus is *HEATED* over the slight and brawls wildly with SWB in the front row! Fans get an up-close-and-personal view of the action, but of course the refs count has continued - and Studd makes his way covertly back into the ring... Winner (by count-out): BIG JOHN STUDDStudd uses this victory as a launching pad to declare "I'M THE TRUE GIANT OF BCCW!", and shouts out his Killer Kowalski-affiliation (they rule BCCW!!) ** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________** Woman's Championship **MILDRED BURKE (1952) © versus EVE TORRES GRACIE (2012) versus Eve Torres actually gives MBurke the stiffest test of her championship run so far, almost tapping the champion within seconds of the bout with a complicated jiujitsu hold! Think Ronda Rousey vs Liz Carmouche from UFC 157. But much like her fight-fiction training partner (under the Mash-Up Wrestling banner) Rowdy Ronda Rousey - MBurke eventually makes the comeback & taps out Eve Torres with a triangle choke at the 14:59 mark of the match!! One more SECOND and Eve Torres would have survived a time limit draw! Instead, MBurke continues her *undefeated championship streak* (approaching GSP/Jon Jones/ Anderson Silva pre-Chris Weidman)... how will Eve Torres - still BCCW Woman's Division President - conspire to make the champs life miserable?? Winner (by submission): MILDRED BURKETake a look at the calves & thighs of the champ Mildred Burke - they can crush a human skull like an eggshell in their powerful grip - that's why her triangle choke has been so darn effective! ** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** ** Cameras focus on BCCW President Paul Bowser in the VIP Skybox enjoying the show with his specially-invited guest SHANE MCMAHON!! **** CUT ** __________________________________________________________________________** Backstage - Mil Mascaras attempts to convince his nephew Alberto Del Rio to have a fair & honorable match tonight against Von Erich, but ADR seems to be having none of that. Del Rio warns his uncle to mind his own business and says tonight is about "respeto!!" **** CUT TO RING ** ALBERTO DEL RIO (2013) vs KEVIN VON ERICH
** Middleweight Bout ** w/ versus Brutal technical masterpiece, as ADR just dissects KVE's sore arm (see Fight Night: Temperature's Rising) including an armbreaker around the steel ring post. When KVE made the babyface rally, Ricardo Rodriguez absorbed the punishment meant for Del Rio and allowed Alberto to sink in a game-changing armbreaker on Kevin in the center of the ring. The proud Texan struggled valiantly - until his arm visibly, and gruesomely - *BROKE* from the pressure! The referee had no choice but to step in and call the match! Del Rio comes off as a cruel, vicious mastermind - and Kevin Von Erich is removed from active competition with a *broken arm*. Winner (by submission): ALBERTO DEL RIO** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** BCCW Commissioner William Muldoon is preparing a statement to officially address the Heavyweight title fiasco earlier, when he is interrupted by "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. Rogers goes into business for himself in a promo, detailing his championship brilliance & claiming to be a founding father of the WWE Empire. Rogers closes with some ominous parting words about "trying to take on an army" and "even Spartacus met his end at the hands of the Romans" (alluding to Muldoon's past as a costumed Spartacus on Broadway). Nature Boy chuckles and puffs his cigar like he's privy to inside information nobody else knows...** match segue ** __________________________________________________________________________** BCCW 6-Man Tag Team Championship **WILD SAMOANS (w/ Buddy Rogers) © versus USO's w/ versus Super-agent to the stars Nature Boy Buddy Rogers has used his manipulative scheming to draw a bloody schism in the Samoan family bloodline. But the real winners are the fans, who watch these two great teams clash one last time. The Samoans wind up retaining in a raucous affair... Winners (and STILL BCCW 6-Man Champions): WILD SAMOANS... but the fans get the post-match pop when Buddy Rogers *FINALLY* eats a Stink Face from Rikishi! The results are traumatic & Rogers is brought backstage nearly retching in disgust! Uso's may have lost this round, but they'll be back again. For now they end the segment with a crowd-pleasing dance routine that brings us into our next commercial break. Uso's raise the roof and set that mutha on fire at Heatwave tonight!!** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________BULLY RAY (2013) w/ Brooke Hogan vs BRUNO SAMMARTINO (1975)
** Heavyweight Grudge Match ** w/ versus As the late, great Gorilla Monsoon used to say - this is a main event match anywhere in the country. But only in BCCW - the grandest stage in fantasy wrestling - will find such an epic Dream Match collision. Both men are actually about the same age (on this stage), but da Brune has much more main-event mileage on his body. Bully Ray takes advantage of previous injuries & pounds Bruno unmercifully. Yet when Sammartino makes the fiery Italian comeback, suddenly Bully Ray is pleading for mercy himself. He even hoists his evil wife (ala Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley circa 2000) Brooke Hogan in between them at ringside, saving his own hide in the most despicable manner possible. In true heelish fashion, when the going gets too tuff for Bully - he cheats. First it's an "accidental" ref bump before Bruno can cinch in his backbreaker finisher - then Bully calls in the troops... ACES & 8s are the 1st wave of defenseAces & Eights cohorts D-Von Dudley & Knuxx try the run-in, but are quickly driven off by a raging Sammartino. Sabu & the feral Headhunterz bat clean-up, putting Sammartino under the plateBut when Sabu & Headhunterz (T.O.X.I.C. stablemates alongside the others) show up it's game over for da Brune... until his *OWN* Mash-Up Wrestling cavalry arrives! Cue wild frenetic, "brawl-through-the-stands" portion of the card - enter hometown heroes Crusher Casey & Gus Sonnenberg! Boston Strong!!!It's a Bean-Town brawl @ Heatwave tonight! Finally, with the ring cleared - Brooke Hogan has the ref (now slowly awoken) in her grasp - Bruno Smmartino is blindsided by DEAN AMBROSE (2015) and his BCCW MW belt! BLAM to the forehead of da Brune! Bruno goes down! The Fantasy Wrestling "Legend Killer" Dean Ambrose strikes again! Bruno staggers to his feet a bloody mess and falls right into a BULLY-CUTTER from Ray! The ref is nearly dragged into position! 1!.. 2!... 3! NOOOO! Bully Ray has beaten the Living Legend, but not without T.O.X.I.C. interference! Winner: BULLY RAY** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** "DO U KNO WHO I AM???" post-match promo from Bully Ray (alongside MW champion Dean Ambrose & his bodyguard) = "I'M DA GUY WHO BEAT A LIVING LEGEND!!" Dean Ambrose cuts an eerie promo, referencing the blood of the legend smeared on his title belt. It's apparent that T.O.X.I.C. does not respect law & order - the only rule they abide by is "survival of the fittest!" Thus, an "XTREME" lesson must be dealt! The chaos begins when Bruno Sammartino RIPS through the entrance curtain, half-bandaged on his bloody forehead, and tossing paramedics & security aside like rag dolls in his mad pursuit of Bully Ray! The coward tucks tail and hightails it out of the building, with Bruno in pursuit! Bully Ray flees! Cue theme song & entrance of the WHOLE FN SHOW!! Spark your blunts & put your lighters in the air for RVD 4:20!! ** match segue ** __________________________________________________________________________** BCCW Middleweight Championship **DEAN AMBROSE (2015) © w/ Roman Reigns versus ROB VAN DAM (2006) (Xtreme Rulez) w/ versus A contemporary taste of WWE's immediate future - with Middleweight champion Dean Ambrose taking on RVD. Roman Reigns is an impartial viewer, until mid-way through the match when he SPEARS RVD right out of mid-air on an attempted dive! Surprisingly, the referee actually TOSSES Roman Reigns from ringside (big cheers!) Commentators say the refs are really cracking down now after blowing a series of game-changing calls earlier in the night. So RVD mounts the incredible comeback - chairs, ladders and finally chairs come into play - and Ambrose shows he's main-event material by finishing RVD straight up. Winner (and STILL BCCW MW Champion): DEAN AMBROSE (2015)Dean Ambrose leads the Tribe of Xtreme into the future...** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________** BCCW Television Title **RYBACK (2015) © versus GOLDBERG (1998) versus Two freight trains colliding. Crowd is unanimous in their support of Goldberg, who they feel was justifiably robbed by Ryback @ "Bedlam in Boston 3". Match is shades of Goldberg/Lesnar without the crowd catcalls. A subplot of their feud included Ryback claiming he would ditch BCCW & take the Television title with him to WWE (where Ryback can be the "SUPERSTAR" he was always meant to be). Both are evenly matched power-wise, but Goldberg holds the edge in submission tactics. In the end, Goldberg's focused attacks on Ryback's knee begin to take their toll - and "CRYBack (circa 2013)" emerges. At first he tries some light shoving and complaining to the official. When that doesn't end the match, he grabs a steel chair for the DQ. But Ryback is SPEARED right out of a chair swing by Goldberg (BIG POP!) and the match continues! Goldberg signals for the jackhammer, but Ryback has slid from the ring - grabbed his belt - and hit a forced retreat! Crowd boos! Goldberg shoves the ref off, grabs the house mic, and *DEMANDS* Ryback return! But apparently, the TV champion's knee injury is too severe. He disappears from the scene and the ref has no choice but to end the match. Winner (by count-out): GOLDBERGBut of course post-match, while Goldberg is fending off the booing crowd during his promo & expressing his disgust with these turn of events, he is BLINDSIDED from the crowd area by RYBACK! The TV Champion CLONKS Goldberg from behind with the belt and lays him out! Ryback seems to have "shaken off" the knee injury, and return with a fury! SHELLSHOCK TO GOLDBERG! Ryback rules! But STILL BCCW TV champion... RYBACK (2015)!!** CUT TO COMMERCIAL ** __________________________________________________________________________** WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP **JOHN CENA (2013) © versus ULTIMATE WARRIOR (1991) versus Electricity personified. Crowd split 55/45 (think WM6). The entire history of the "Summerslam Challenge" is reviewed, with the winner here going on to headline the card in historic Madison Square Garden. Past WWE-connections with both men are highlighted, and Ultimate Warrior's recent dissatisfaction with BCCW is discussed. This match was recapped in full for WWE.com... you'll see why at the end... ** Write-up from WWE.com **"Dueling irresistible forces would nearly tear the WWE Universe asunder in an epic fantasy match between John Cena and The Ultimate Warrior, two of WWE’s most chiseled champions. The WWE Universe knows John Cena. A dogged, passionate fighter with Titanic-sized resolve and the heart of a champion – 11 times over, to be precise. In his high-tops and denim shorts, Cena’s greatest ornamentation has always been either the World Heavyweight or WWE Title. And he’s achieved nearly a dozen reigns as World Champion with a mix of strength, tenacity and energy siphoned from WWE fans, even overwhelming jeers. But if any WWE Superstar in history knows about drawing power from the WWE Universe, it’s The Ultimate Warrior. Bedecked in fluorescent garb matching his neon warpaint, this snarling, muscle-bound specimen charged his way down the aisle, past his opponents and through the 1980s and ‘90s as one of the most recognizable Superstars in WWE history. Ultimate Warrior vs. John CenaThe Ultimate Warrior brought Hulkamania to its knees on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania VI, retired the Madness at WrestleMania VII and press slammed a slew of the greatest legends of his era. It’s difficult to say, but for once, The Cenation Commander-in-Chief just might be physically overpowered standing toe-to-toe with an unstable combatant in fluorescent face paint. Loyalty, respect? The Ultimate Warrior devours all of it. Hustle, however, is the one attribute Cena can exploit to bring down the ultimate challenger. As part of that hustle, Cena must keep his burly rival away from the ropes which have proven to be the conduit of Warrior’s energy, wildly shaken by the behemoth until suitably refueled. Ultimate Warrior vs. John CenaAlas, like Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan and others individually learned, nothing can be thrown at the Warrior that he cannot withstand. Warrior’s unmatched might humbles Cena, who is blasted with powerful clotheslines and fists in between being hoisted and slammed. True to form, Cena endures a body battering barrage and Warrior aims to project The Champ out of the ring with a press slam. The Cenation leader escapes and fires back with a shoulder tackle and ensuing Attitude Adjustment. Not enough. Top rope legdrop – also not enough. Resolute and determined to chop down the leviathan in front of him, Cena climbs for one more legdrop which misses its mark and renders him susceptible to Warrior’s slowed yet potentially clash-closing big splash. Within an instant, Cena draws up his knees into the belly of the beast, quickly regains his position and delivers a second Attitude Adjustment. The shrewd Cenation Commander-in-Chief seizes an all-important opportunity to end the struggle, perching Warrior up for a third and final AA. With great tumult, the fringed frenzy of The Ultimate Warrior is eclipsed as Cena completes the triumvirate of his signature moves for just as many counts by the referee – a pinfall victory. ** Original WWE Work by Craig Tello **Winner (and STILL Undisputed WORLD Champion): JOHN CENA (2013)** FADE OUT ** __________________________________________________________________________OUTRO What *should* have been a crowning moment for BCCW (and did peak with record-breaking ratings) ended with the last thing this company needed - more controversy. Think UFC after a night of bad judging & boring decisions. The officiating tonight was absolutely putrid, but it all climaxed in the main event...** The main event official *COMPLETELY MISSED ULTIMATE WARRIOR'S FOOT UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE* during the final pinfall! Further video review confirms this, but for tonight the refs decision is final. Warrior - as you can imagine - was INCENSED. Further fodder for the conspiracy theories he already has about BCCW "holding him down". ** For a big national special on USA, BCCW was disgraced by many unsatisfactory match finishes. Compound the referee incompetence with some of the minor technical glitches that disrupted the show, and soon the internet was flooded with rumors BCCW was "sabotaged" on their biggest national stage (and on the USA network nonetheless, home to - you guessed it - WWE). ** Shane McMahon came away non-plussed, commentating that the action was fine but "the inmates run the asylum". Certainly not high praise but far from the condemnation given to the show by Vince McMahon himself (who was said to have privately stewed over USA's decision to air the special). BCCW President Paul Bowser meanwhile had no comment, other than to say BCCW is pleased with the ratings from the show and will work hard going forward to maintain more consistent officiating. ** BCCW Commissioner William Muldoon felt the brunt of the dissatisfaction with the officiating, and has promised resolution come next BCCW TV Episode. Expect some major announcements from the BCCW office in coming weeks. __________________________________________________________________________

Heatwave was a good read. Some things that I really liked:
- Rhyno wins! This was a bit of a surprise to me because for the last few months he seemed to occupy the role of the feared monster who actually always loses.
- The Dusty finish to the Kowalski vs. Rhodes match. I hate it when it is overused, but used sparingly and properly, it's fucking brilliant. And that's what it was here. At first, when I read that Rhodes won, I couldn't believe that you were already pulling the plug on the Kowalski title run. I'm glad the title didn't change hands. I'm also surprised that the match went on first. It's okay though because I think the idea behind your multiple weight classes should be that each title has equal value. All the same, it's always kind of incredible to the Heavyweight title defended first.
- Bully Ray defeating Bruno. I wasn't sure that you'd do it. I didn't think you'd do it. But you did it. And I love it.
- Plus, I really like your "Outro" segment at the end, where you acknowledged and addressed things like the presence of the McMahons at Heatwave, the shoddy officiating, and the Ultimate Warrior's mental retardation.
The only thing that I would've said was a major negative was the frequency with which the officiating sucked. However, that you acknowledged it in the end and already announced that Muldoon will address it on the next episode of BCCW TV, makes it lessens my negative review of it and actually makes me interested to find out what Muldoon has to say about it. Put another way, it would've been shitty and terrible if the crappy officiating was used throughout the show without any great contextual reason for it. However, that the shitty official is itself a storyline, it's not so bad.
As always, I'm looking forward to reading more.

So far, I've only read through the pre-show Fight Night. But hey. Heck of a kick-start for the remainder of the event. Loved the cliffhanger closing of Shane popping up at the arena. Takes me back to Sunday Night Heat circa 1998 - ya know, back when it was actually written & booked to MATTER. The lead-in shows for PPVs were always treated this way, with a hot closing segment to sell ya on the show. Ya led us to the watering hole & let us sample the drinks, but ya didn't drench our taste buds. Left us hanging on & thirsty for much more.
Point being? Ya did your job extremely well with the lead-in show here. I mentioned in my BiB3 feedback that I felt like the pre-show had delivered perhaps TOO MUCH with the gimmick-loaded main event, but there was none of that here. Gave us just enough personalities and action. "Just right." - Goldilocks. The fairy tale character. Not the stripper from TNA fame.(?)
So yeah. Shane's arrival sold the effect of the WWF war, which is sort of brewing on the back-burner. This just plopped it down in our laps & reminded us all about it. Nicely done. Same goes for the hint & tease of Cena being tied into negotiations with the McMahons. His simple, "No comment" is the vague type of reply that would have people throwing their arms up in the air and going, "WHA?! Come on! What's that mean?" Good stuff.
Fun sequence of events that got us to a new Flyweight Champ, by the way. A scenario like that - with loads of interference from different camps, etc. - has to be played the right way in order to get over with me. It's a fine line, and there's a balance that has to be found & applied to the situation in order for it to click properly. Just my two cents. But you got it. Nailed it here. Nothing over-the-top or unnecessary. Nothing necessarily contrived or forced into place. It just unfolded organically, and ya managed to keep the participants away from all the schmozz stuff - so we actually got a clean finish. Kudos.
I've been kind of critical about Dykstra being positioned as a "Kowalski guy", since he REALLY looks out of place among the other members of that particular group to me. Again, just my opinion. HOWEVER, I will say this - you did a decent job of selling me on him as the "rising star" or the "diamond in the rough" of the group. Crown jewel is a bit much at this early stage, but I could see his act growing on me. Having him play the Orton to Killer's Evolution here is okay by me, and the idea of giving him a valet is a positive also.
Kenny's athletic, he has a decent look, but he's still fairly bland. Same was said about Randy for a long time until he finally broke through though. So we'll see what develops. For the meantime? I could actually see a series with Ciampa doing him all kinds of good. Or even a rivalry with JoMo. Either way, just an extended personal rivalry with some substance & meaning behind it could help to establish him a bit on his own merit - rather than just falling back on the Kowalski card.
I've resisted the temptation to just skim over the Heatwave results so far, but I've got the itch. Should get around to scratching it (eww?) and reading the write-up IN FULL pretty soon. I'll be dropping feedback again after that, man.

Majorly entertaining show right here, man. Loved a lot of what ya went to work to give us with this one. The ongoing theme of "poor officiating" throughout the show was clever. Aa paid it off well enough in the Outro and gave fuel to the fire for that next big chapter of the Civil War playbook. So all's good on that end.
Glad to see Ambrose get more shine here, too. Ditto for Bully. You've got two superb talkers on your hands with those guys, and I'm stoked that you aren't at all shy about using them in key roles. Well done, sir.
Bruno wasn't harmed a bit by the loss. If anything, I think his huge "HULK SMASH" return through the curtain helped enhance his image & remind the fans just WHY they love Da Brune so darn much. At the very least, that little post-match spot made for a really cool freaking visual. So there's that.
The World Heavyweight Championship bout being cued up first isn't usually something I like, but I didn't mind it so much here. I don't know why, really. But it felt like a natural flow & lead-in for the rest of the show somehow. Didn't hurt the tempo whatsoever or feel like it detracted from anything else. Oh, and bonus points for using the Dusty Finish in a Rhodes match. Big Dust was a'rocking and rolling the whole way through. He was HUNGREEEE for the gold, DADDAY. HUNGRAY EEE'NUFF to eat from the south-end of a north-bound cow, BAYBAY. But he left UNFUHFILLED, IF YEWWW WHEEEEL... 'cause, on this night, KOWALSKAY LEFFF' TOWN wit' da gold, Jack.
In all seriousness, like the way you boosted Rhodes and somehow still left life in Killer's camp. Not sure about the Sheamus loss, since it REALLY feels like he's fallen over the last month. Shame to see it, frankly. Maybe you're gearing up for some sort of team battle or War Games style deal, but Sheamus' attention seems to be scattered all over the map at the moment. He's bouncing back and forth from one of Killer's lackeys to another, without any real target to take aim at for too long.
Your treatment of Buddy Rogers is brilliant. Entertaining as heck, man. Loved the little mid-show promo from him, but then ya go and outdo yourself by putting him on the receiving end of a Stinkface. Great stuff. Even though the Usos lost the bout, ya did the smart thing (as a promoter) and sent the fans away with a crowd-pleasing moment worth remembering. Nice way to pop the crowd and keep them drawn in for the remainder of the show.
Fun little match from the ladies. Glad ya kept it clean with a definitive finish. Kudos for the way ya posted the pic of Milly and pointed out her immense leg strength. It's small details like that which help to really enhance the reading experience at times. I dig it.
Speaking of enhancing the experience, I've GOT to give ya major props for the cool visuals you're always cooking up. The Thesz/Cena imagery was one thing, but the Warrior/Cena stand-off is legit in its own right. Not only that, but ya topped it with the action figure "match" to showcase your main event.
Just a purely fun show from where I sit. There were some minor things that I didn't ultimately agree with or care for (like the Sheamus loss), but I can totally overlook it for the sake of simply enjoying all this fantasy fighting for what it is. Can't wait to get all caught up on the action & see just WHERE this thing with the 'F is headed.
