Leo's Note: I've been really busy recently, so late on writing and posting my show. I wanted to get the preshow up for SuperBrawl, since it involves Jericho and I hope to have the main show, with some matches shortened on description, by end of the weekend. Thanks.
WCW SuperBrawl for 3.5.23
Live from The Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon
Free-4-All Pre-Show
We see UWA Universal Men’s Champion Chirs Jericho arriving at the arena. He’s shaking hands and signing autographs. He says ouch and looks down at his finger. There’s a small prick. He must have cut himself on a sharp piece of a pen or something. He goes on.

Taya Valkyrie defeated Mickie James-Aldis by pinfall via Road to Valhalla at 9:10.

Ember Moon busts into Shane McMahon’s office in the back. She’s upset about not being in the WCW Women’s Gulf Coast Title tournament, especially with Tessa Blanchard being in the finals tonight and Moon beat her at Starrcade. McMahon said Moon asked for time off for personal reasons after Starrcade and he granted it to her. Shane should have waited for Moon to come back. McMahon said they’re not centering everything around one person on the roster. That’s not what WCW is about. Moon said McMahon will see what she’s about later tonight.

Most of the tag team battle royal entrances take place during the commercial break. Power Station, Garvin Brothers, Varsity Blondes and the Boogie Knights are already in the ring. We get to see coming out the Funk Brothers, New Foundation and the debuting mystery team, the Rock ‘n Roll Express.
The final four are Jimmy Garvin, Terry Funk, Ricky Morton and Owen Hart. Morton and Hart eliminate Garvin with a double dropkick. Funk gets a drop on the faces and goes for a piledriver on Morton, who backdrops him out and Hart gets a neckbreaker as he flies by. They toss Funk. Funk is mad and fights off the refs to low bridge the ropes and Morton falls out during a crisscross sequence. Hart doesn’t want to win that way and tells Ricky to get back into the ring. He does and they wrestle a bit more before Hart eliminates Morton with a flying head scissors to end things at 10:27. The New Foundation gets an upcoming WCW World Tag Team Titles shot.

Davey Boy Smith defeated Tyson Kidd with Harry Smith in a neutral corner by pinfall via running powerslam at 6:05. Smith has Kidd beat twice, but keeps pulling him up and pointing at Harry. Kidd has a slight comeback, but goes for a springboard nothing and gets his head taken off with a clothesline, leading to the finish. After the finish, Smith hits Kidd with another running powerslam. He lines up a third, but Harry turns his back and walks out. Davey Boy yells at him to come back, but he doesn’t.

Col. Robert Fuller cuts a promo in the back. “Dusty Rhodes you appeared out of nowhere on the last Nitro. It wasn’t that I was scared to see you. I was shocked your fat ass was still alive. You talked about how Magnum TA is your friend, your brother, your son, your mentee and whatever the hell us. Well, Paul Orndorff isn’t any of that to me. He can get his ass beat all day and all night and I’ll stand there and watch it. Are you going to let your friend, brother, third cousin and dog walker possibly have his career, possibly his life, ended here tonight. I don’t think so Rhodes. Paul Orndorff will walk out of here still the WCW World Heavyweight Champion and the Stud Stable will be the dominant faction in all of WCW.”

The Miracles Workers (Eli Drake and Mike Bennett) with Maria Kanellis-Bennett retained the WCW Gulf Coast Tag Team Titles over MNM (Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro) with Melina and the American Males (Buff Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) with Cherry Bomb. Bagwell with the Blockbuster on Bennett, but then Nitro lands on top of both with Starship Pain. The partners come in and everything falls apart on referee Joey Marella. This allows Maria to jump on the apron and blind Bagwell with the hairspray. Drake with the Gravy Train and he throws Bennett on top to retain at 15:34.

Dusty Rhodes cuts a promo in the back while holding a white towel. “Tonight, I will have Magnum TA’s back in the designated terminator match, baby. He’s trusting me to not throw this towel in, no matter what happens. And he can trust me, because I am his friend. Col. Robert Fuller views Paul Orndorff as nothing, but a meal ticket, daddy. When he thinks the career of Mr. Wonderful is in jeopardy, baby, that coward will throw in the towel. It’s all about who blinks first, Fuller, and we all know it won’t be the American Dream. Magnum TA will walk, crawl or be carried out of here tonight as the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion.”

UWA Universal Men’s Champion Chris Jericho is in the ring and talks about how great it is to be back in WCW and how his busy schedule of defending his belt all over the UWA has taken him away too long. Jericho then starts stuttering some, sweating and feeling woozy. He passes out in the ring. Medics rush out, but a bunch of snakes crawl out from under the ring and keeps them back (the barrier wall keeps them from going out into the crowd).
Out from the other side of the ring appears Jake “The Snake” Roberts. He gets into the ring and takes the microphone away from the downed Jericho. “That prick you felt earlier outside was a pen I planted that had a venomous snake tooth on it (he shows the pen). Don’t worry, it’s not enough poison to kill you. It’s just enough to put the fear of God into you. Or should I say the devil and the devil is me. I waited on you, Jericho, I calmly sat coiled like a cobra waiting to strike. Why? Because you’re as high as you’ve ever been in your career. The highest of any wrestler across the UWA and when I see somebody that high on the mountain top, my natural inclination is to drag them to hell with me. This title belt (he picks up the strap) is not what I’m after, but I’ll take it as a trophy. What I really want is your soul.”
Jake throws the belt down and disappears back under the ring. Steve Blackman appears and he’s tired of these motherf*ckin’ snakes in this motherf*ckin’ arena and leads security to the ring to rescue Jericho. And we exit the preshow to the ppv.
