Live from the Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho
Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon and Don Callis
Ring Announcer: Gary Michael Cappetta
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Aubrey Edwards
The show starts with the Nitro Girls dancing on the entrance stage, but they get interrupted by “Wild Card” Bob Holly and “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig who brawl out from the back. It seems as if their hardcore match for the WCW Wild Card Title is underway.
They fight down the entrance ramp and all around ringside. Bob Holly goes for the Alabama Slam on the announce table, but Hennig blocks the lift and backdrops Holly through the table. Tom Magee and Del Wilkes of the Stud Stable run out and attack Hennig. They give him a double team powerbomb on the floor and then roll him into the ring. Randy Savage comes out with a chair and chases them off.
Holly recovers and finishes with the old Overhead Cam to retain the title at 8:50.

SoCal Val is on the interview stage with Magnum TA. He’s tired of Col. Robert Fuller interjecting himself in Magnum’s matches with Stud Stable members like last week and at Starrcade. If Fuller wants a say in Magnum’s matches with his guys, he’s willing to give it to him. Fuller comes out to see what Magnum is talking about. He challenged Paul Orndorff to a designated terminator match for the WCW World Heavyweight Title at SuperBrawl. Fuller asks what that means. Fuller will be Orndorff’s second at ringside. The only way Orndorff can lose is if Fuller throws in the towel for his man. The only way Magnum can lose is if his second gives up for him. Fuller likes the sound of that, because he would never let Orndorff lose the title. Who is Magnum’s second? Fuller will find out later tonight if he interferes in the match with Magee.

Shane McMahon is back in his office. Since the previous match ended in a time limit draw, the WCW Gulf Coast Title match at SuperBrawl will be a triple threat of the Miracle Workers vs. MNM vs. American Males.
Additionally, he’s booking a tag team battle royal with the winners getting a WCW Tag Team Title shot. That match will feature a new tag team to the division.

“The Expatriate” Del Wilkes with Col. Robert Fuller defeated “Lethal Weapon” Steve Blackman by count out at 8:47. Fuller tried to interfere, so Blackman went to the outside after him and laid him out with a thrust kick. But then he turned around into a Patriot Missile from the top rope to the outside by Wilkes. Blackman didn’t make the count back into the ring. However, Blackman lays Wilkes out with a bicycle kick afterward.

SoCal Val has Nick Aldis on the interview stage. He’s wearing a referee’s shirt. He talks about being the special guest referee for the WCW Gulf Coast Title match at SuperBrawl between Bruno Sammartino and Billy Graham. Sammartino comes out and Aldis tells him to back off. Bruno doesn’t want any trouble, he just wanted to come out and look Aldis in the eye to see what kind of man he really is. Sammartino respects what Aldis has accomplished in the UWA. It’s not that he doesn’t trust Aldis, but he sure doesn’t trust Graham. Aldis says he’ll make sure the best man wins. They lock eyes, there’s a tense moment and Sammartino offers his hand, which Aldis shakes.

“The Lone Horsewoman” Tessa Blanchard defeated Mickie James-Aldis by pinfall via Buzzsaw DDT at 10:43. Good back and forth match that saw Blanchard ducking the Mick-Kick and getting a Codebreaker. Half and half Flatliner sets up the finish.

SoCal Val has Davey Boy Smith, Harry Smith and Tyson Kidd on the interview stage. Once again, Davey Boy tells everyone to shut up about the tough love he’s showing Harry. He’s made an example out of him and it’s time for him to be the example. At SuperBrawl Davey Boy will not wrestle his son, but a man who has become like a son to him, Tyson Kidd. Kidd is surprised by this. Davey Boy tells him to shove his eyes back into his head. Davey Boy tells Harry to be at ringside and see how to really wrestle from one of the best in the sport today.

Meng with “Number One” Paul Jones defeated “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan by disqualification at 7:32. Meng beats Hogan around the ring until he Hulks up and gets the big boot and leg drop. Meng kicks out and Hogan sells it like the world has come to an end. He falls to his knees and moans “but, I’m Hulk Hogan.” Meng with a thrust kick and cover, but Hogan kicks out. Double Hulk Up and Hogan pulls out the Axe Bomber to setup a second leg drop, but he kicks out of that too. So, Hogan then just nails Meng in the balls and the referee calls for the disqualification. Hogan is livid. How can Joey Marella do that, he’s Hulk Hogan.

Kevin Owens comes out to the entrance stage with a microphone and slow claps for Hogan’s loss. “Not what you were expecting, huh. Hulk Hogan is more predictable than the next Marvel movie, but when things don’t go to the script in your head you don’t know what to do. Yes, the majority of the fans here tonight and around the country still cheer for you Hogan. But, there’s a slight wave of boos in there. Ever so slight. I can hear them even if you can’t. That’s the first crack in Mount Hogan and I’ll bring all of Hulkamania to rubble at SuperBrawl. What you going to do Hulk Hogan when the Prizefighter runs wild on you?”

“Macho Man” Randy Savage deafeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall via elbow smash at 14:02. Savage with a hooking clothesline and body slam. He goes up top, but Madusa Micelli runs out and pulls Savage’s leg to crotch him while referee Aubrey Edwards is checking on Ziggler. Lady Frost runs out and attacks Madusa. Monsoon mentioned how Lady Frost teamed with her fellow Money in the Bank winner recently. Ziggler tries a superplex, but Savage blocks and shoves Ziggler off the top. Flying double axe handle. Hangman’s neckbreaker. Elbow smash finishes. Monsoon guesses Madusa ran out because Wilkes was still laid up from earlier and Magee is preparing for his match later.

SoCal Val has Brian Pillman Sr. on the interview stage. He has his Ed Block Courage Award mentioned last week. He was the first member of the Cincinnati Bengals to win it through a vote by his teammates. He said the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation is all about the three C’s of courage, commitment and compassion. Kurt Angle comes out and says the three C’s can’t beat the three I’s of integrity, intelligence and intensity. When Angle wins Pillman’s award at SuperBrawl, he’ll melt it down into a paperweight. Pillman said when he win’s Angle’s gold medal, he’ll treat it with the respect it deserves.

Magnum TA defeated “Mega Man” Tom Magee with Col. Robert Fuller by pinfall at 10:10 via belly to belly suplex.
Magnum slips out of the Mega Driver and pushes Magee into the near corner with a knee to the back. He charges with a shoulder tackle. Magee moves and Magnum posts himself. Magee pushes Magnum to the floor and distracts referee Tommy Young. Fuller goes to lay the boots to Magnum and a man jumps the railing from the front row. He removes his duster and cowboy hat to reveal…“THE AMERICAN DREAM” DUSTY RHODES. The crowd goes ballistic and Fuller turns to see Rhodes and damn near craps himself. Rhodes gives Fuller a bionic elbow. Magee goes to the floor and squares up with Rhodes, but Magnum gives him a high knee in the back. Suplex on the floor. He rolls Magee back in, hits the belly to belly suplex and gets the win.
Magnum gets a microphone post match. “When I first started out in this sport, I had a mentor who told me not to trust anybody. And he proved to be the only person who I could trust. And that’s this man right here, Dusty Rhodes. And he will be my designated terminator at SuperBrawl.”
Rhodes takes the microphone. “I have sweat, bled and damn near died for this sport. And I’ve seen other men do the same here in this very ring. There’s times I’ve thought, ‘Dream, you should run out there and save that man’ during a match. But, I didn’t, because they knew what they were getting into on day one of becoming a professional rassler. Magnum TA has been like a son, a brother, a confidant and my best friend. And because of that when he pleads “Dream, don’t you dare throw in that towel,” you better believe I won’t for love or money.”
