Live from the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma
Commentary: Gorilla Monsoon and Don Callis
Ring Announcer: Gary Michael Cappetta
Interviewer: SoCal Val
Referees: Tommy Young, Joey Marella and Aubrey Edwards
Chris Jericho in a business suit and wearing the UWA Universal Men’s Title stands in the ring with a microphone to open the show.
“Kurt Angle said I was scared to be in the building with him. Kurt Angle said I had abandoned WCW like Nick Aldis did. Kurt Angle said he would take the UWA Universal Men’s Title from me at Starrcade. Kurt Angle says a lot of things, like extolling the three I’s. To me, he’s the three J’s. Jackass, Jackass, Jackass.”
Kurt Angle then comes out and gets in the ring with his own microphone.
“Damn straight, I say a lot of things. And I always back them up. I won a gold medal on a broken freakin’ neck…”
“Which you repeat like a broken freakin’ record. If the day ends in Y, you can be assured we’ll hear how Kurt Angle won a gold medal on a broken freakin’ neck.”
“Well, that’s nothing you’ve ever done.”
“I know something you’ve never done. Hold the UWA Universal Men’s Title and that won’t be changing at Starrcade.”
The two go nose to nose and Shane McMahon comes out to the entrance stage with a microphone. If the two of them want to duke it out before Starrcade: The Resurrection, fine. But, it will be in a mixed tag match tonight. Angle will have Charlotte Flair for a partner and Jericho gets Kamille Kaine.

Blue Demon Jr. and Thunder Rosa defeated The Patriot and Madusa Miceli with Col. Robert Fuller by disqualification at 9:10. Rosa nails the Thunder Fire Driver on Miceli and makes the cover, but the Patriot runs in and cracks Rosa in the back with the U.S. Flag. Fuller held Demon’s foot on the apron so he couldn’t make the save. He shakes Fuller off and Patriot pulls Micelli out of the ring while Demon checks on Rosa.
SoCal Val has Magnum TA on the entrance stage. Paul Orndorff challenged Magnum TA to face a handpicked mystery opponent tonight for a chance at the WCW World Heavyweight Title at Starrcade. Magnum is not scared to face anybody at anytime and he doesn’t run from adversity and play games like Orndorff. He challenges Mr. Wonderful to come out and tell him who he’s facing.
Orndorff comes out and says Magnum won’t know who he’s facing until match time. In fact, Magnum’s opponent won’t know who he is until Paul says the name. As long as he’s the WCW World Champion, he calls the shots and everything is done his way. Magnum tells him he’ll be ready no matter who.

Larry Zbyszko defeated Tony Garea by submission via Larryland Dreamer at 6:05. Zyszko on the microphone afterward said Shane McMahon better have someone better for him at Starrcade than this charter member of the jabroni hall of fame.
Bruno Sammartino is on the interview stage with SoCal Val. He heard “Superstar” Billy Graham’s challenge to him last week for a WCW Gulf Coast Title shot at Starrcade. Sammartino admits that Graham might be the greatest rival he’s ever had and the fact that Sammartino took the WWWF World Heavyweight Title off of him with Bruno getting it back has always stuck in his craw. He’s always considered that a blight on his career. He’ll be honest, as much as Graham wants another shot at Sammartino, Bruno wants another shot at him.

“Marvelous” Marc Mero defeated “The Last of a Dying Breed” Eddie Kingston by pinfall via Merosault at 11:12. Kingston attacks Mero post match as he celebrates and leaves him lying.
Rockin’ Robin debuts on the interview stage with SoCal Val. She’s the sister of Sam Houston and Jake Roberts. She can’t stand to see her brothers fighting and demands for them to stop. Roberts comes out and says he didn’t know she felt that way about it. If it’s for her, then he’ll stop and apologize to his brother. He offers her a hug and as she goes in, Jake hits her with the DDT and then drapes Damian over her. Houston runs out and scares him off while throwing Damian off the stage.
An enraged Houston says Roberts can do whatever he wants to him, but leave their sister out of it. She was just trying to broker peace for the better of the family. If they can’t do it her way, Houston will do it Roberts’ way and see him at Starrcade.

Proud and Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) vs. Power Station (Odyssey Jones and Will Hobbs) with Dr. of Style, Slick defeated Proud and Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) by pinfall of Jones on Santana via Blackout (spinebuster by Hobbs followed by a Jones splash) at 8:48 to advance in the UWA Tag Team title shot tournament.
Nick Aldis is out with SoCal Val on the entrance stage. After Shane McMahon made such a big deal about him not being around as UWA Universal Men’s Champion, McMahon hasn’t booked him in two weeks. He also hasn’t addressed McMahon booking himself at 30 in the Terrific Tussle, after he purposely made sure Aldis lost his chance for the spot against Kamille Kaine. Shane McMahon might be the owner of WCW, but he likes playing wrestler when it suits him.
Shane McMahon comes out and tells Aldis damn straight, he’ll ‘play’ wrestler when it suits him, because he owns WCW. Then Aldis challenges him to face him at Starrcade and if he wins, Shane can never wrestle ever again. Shane said that’s fine and if he wins, it will be the opposite for Aldis where he has to wrestle every single week without fail or he’s suspended for the remainder of his contract. Injuries, snow storm, prior engagements; no excuses.

“Killer” Kevin Kross with Maria Kanellis-Bennett defeated Terry Funk by pinfall via Doomsday Saito at 12:30. While Kross had the referee distracted, Maria sprayed Funk in the eyes with her hairspray to blind him.
“Number One” Paul Jones finds Bobby Lashley in the back. Jones doesn’t have any of the Powers of Fear with him and wants to talk to Lashley one on one. It’s obvious to him that Lashley is head and shoulders above Junkyard Dog and Tony Atlas in the Dominators. They rode him to the WCW Tag Team Titles and they’ll ride him to the WCW Trios Titles too at Starrcade if he lets him. Lashley said Jones is trying to drive a wedge into the Dominators and he’s insulted that Jones came after him, because that means he thinks Lashley is the weak link. No, he’s the strongest, but he’s not acting like it. Jones wants him to come into his own power.

Brian Pilman Sr. vs. Davey Boy Smith goes to a double count out at 5:12 when they both tumble out of the ring and brawl on the outside. Smith gives Pillman a hotshot on the ring steps. He then gets a chair and looks to Pillmanize his ankle, but Brian Jr. and Griff Garrison make the save.
Hulk Hogan and Kevin Owens are hanging on in the back. Hogan is lifting weights and isn’t paying attention to what Owens is saying regarding what’s coming up at Starrcade. Owens is in the Money in the Bank match and Hogan seems on a collision course with “Killer” Kevin Kross. Hogan half listening, thinks Owens is offering him his spot in the Money in the Bank match, but ladders don’t work for the Hulkster, brother. Owens sighs deeply and then starts looking at his teeth in the mirror. He could really use a trip to the dentist.

Kurt Angle and “The Queen” Charlotte Flair defeated “Lionheart Chris Jericho and Kamille Kaine by pinfall of Flair on Kaine via spear at 14:20. Angle goes to the floor and gets a chair, but Jericho stops and they fight over the chair. This distracts the referee, so Flair grabs Angle’s gold medal from the ring and uses it for a loaded punch. A groggy Kaine is then easy pickings for the spear. Flair gets into the camera and says she’s the queen of the spear, not Kamille.
We cut to the back where the Powers of Fear are attacking Junkyard Dog and Tony Atlas. They’re trashing a backstage hallway. Bobby Lashley finally swoops in and makes the save. As Jones backs his guys off, he yells at Lashley to keep in mind the Dominators need him, he doesn’t need them.

Magnum TA is in the ring and awaits his mystery opponent. Paul Orndorff comes out to the entrance stage and announces “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan. This shocks everybody. Hogan looks the most surprised as he comes out. He tries to get Orndorff to change to Kevin Owens instead. No, Hogan has always screwed Orndorff and has always told him to jump, expecting him to ask how high. Now Paul has the belt and he tells Hogan to get his ass in the ring.
Magnum TA defeated “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan by disqualification at 10:25. Magnum with a high knee in the corner and he tries to bring Hogan out with the belly to belly suplex, but Hogan blocks and gets one of his own for a two count. Hogan goes for a back suplex, but Magnum punches him in the face as they go up and he falls on top of Hogan for two. Sling to the ropes, but Hogan reverses and goes for the Ax Bomber. Magnum ducks and gets a flying crossbody for two the other way. Hulk up. Series of punches. Hogan goes for the big boot, but Magnum slides under it. Hogan turns into a drop kick. Diving knee drop off the second rope for two. Belly to belly suplex for the one…two…thr…Orndorff runs in and attacks Magnum to draw the DQ since Hogan wasn’t getting the job done. Tom Magee and Madus Miceli run out for the beat down. Kevin Owens makes the save as we fade.
