Tonight’s show opened with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin coming to the ring and calling out Roman Reigns and his entire family. He didn’t care if one or all of them came to the ring because he was fixing to stomp a mudhole in all their asses. Paul Heyman and Umaga answered his call. Heyman said that Reigns wouldn’t be here to acknowledge Austin until Austin acknowledged him, but the Samoan Bulldozer is here and he was ready to bury Austin six feet under.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin defeated Umaga by pinfall at 12:53 after he executed the Stone Cold Stunner.
After the match, Roman Reigns and The Usos attacked. Austin fending off Jimmy and Jey. This time, he avoided a spear from Reigns, and started brawling with him. Austin backed Reigns into the corner and stomped a mudhole in him. As Austin was putting the boots to him, he grabbed from behind and given a high-angle belly-to-belly suplex from Yokozuna! The big behemoth went to the ropes and gave Austin a leg drop, then dragged him into the corner and gave him a Banzai Drop. Reigns told him to do it again, so he did. In total, Yokozuna gave Austin three Banzai Drops before ending his assault.
Austin collapsed on the floor while trying to leave. EMTs came out with a stretcher, but he refused their help. He gave one EMT a Stone Cold Stunner before leaving under his own power (keeled over and clutching his ribs all the while).

Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed Eddie Guerrero, who told him that he has his sights firmly set on getting the WWE Intercontinental Championship back. At WrestleMania II, Adam Cole stole the championship from him. It took him almost an entire year, but finally at Survivor Series, he got a measure of revenge on Cole, and at WrestleMania III, he hopes to get even more by taking the title off him.
Adam Cole interrupted the interview to say that what Guerrero doesn’t deserve a shot at his title because what Guerrero did at Survivor Series was the worst violation of the rules he had even seen. Guerrero made light of the situation, noting that his personal ethos is to lie, cheat, and steal. But, he went on to say, he is also supremely talented and far better than Cole could ever hope to be. Cole disagreed. Guerrero challenged him to prove it. Cole challenged him to a match on Monday Night RAW. Guerrero accepted the challenge, and in turn challenged Cole to put the title on the line. Cole declined the challenge.
Guerrero said that just goes to show that Cole doesn’t actually believe the words he says, because if he did, he wouldn’t be so afraid of losing his championship to him. Cole reluctantly changed his mind. He said he would put the title on the line and retain it just like he has every other time he has stepped foot in the ring because no one is better than Adam Cole BAY! BAY!

Kairi Sane defeated Kiera Hogan by pinfall at 5:07 after she executed an Insane Elbow Drop on her.

Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed CM Punk about how and AJ Styles failed to win the UWA Universal Tag Team Championships at Survivor Series. CM Punk said that he didn’t fail to do anything. It was his partner, AJ Styles, who failed the team. Punk had Dax Harwood on his shoulders ready to put him to sleep, but Styles went for a reckless, high-risk maneuver and failed to execute. If anyone is to blame for the fact he doesn’t have a championship right now, it is AJ Styles.
Speaking of AJ Styles, he walked in, unaware of anything CM Punk was saying. Punk wasn’t happy that he was interrupting his interview. Styles apologized but said he will find that it’s worth it because he had great news to share with him. He just spoke to some of Mr. McMahon’s stooges, who confirmed that Punk and Styles are getting a second chance to win tag team gold. On Monday, they will challenge #DIY for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Lucha Bros defeated The Bar by pinfall at 14:38 when Rey Fénix pinned Cesaro after he and his brother Penta El 0M executed the diving double foot stomp package piledriver combo. With the win, the Lucha Bros have earned the right to challenge FTR for the UWA Universal Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania III.

Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler defeated Ruby Riot and Liv Morgan by submission at 7:19 when Ripley made Morgan tap out in the Prism Trap while Baszler forced Riot to tap out to the Kirifuda Clutch.
After the match, Ripley and Baszler said that they were ready to take the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Bayley and Lita, but then Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai walked onto the entrance stage to say that they aren’t ready until they’ve proven they can beat the best. Then, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella walked out and took Sky and Kai out with twin chairshots. Nikki picked up the mic and said, “And we’re the best.”

Mean Gene interviewed Trish Stratus about challenging Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania III. Stratus said she was confident that she would win the championship at WrestleMania III. Becky Lynch showed up to let the entire world know that Stratus was overconfident for no good reason at all, and admonished Mean Gene for choosing to interview Stratus instead of her. Lynch is the Big Time, and she is still The Man. There is no woman or man alive who can hang in the ring with her, and that isn’t her being overconfident, it is an undisputed fact. To be The Man, you’ve got to beat the The Man, and Stratus can’t do that. Stratus points out that she eliminated Lynch from the Survivor Series match last weekend, so by that measure, that must make her The Man. Lynch gets offended and tells Stratus to watch her back because no one likes a wise ass.

Daniel Bryan defeated Scorpio Sky by submission at 9:42 when he forced him to tap out to the Yes! Lock.
Following the match, Bryan grabbed the house mic and said that he’s on a mission to show the entire world that his “excellence of execution” is what makes him the “best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be” inside a professional wrestling ring.

Mean Gene Okerlund interviewed Paul Bearer, who said that The Undertaker would be on Smackdown next week to find out who would be brave enough to face the unbeatable Phenom at WrestleMania. All potential challengers have one week to make their intentions known, and 23 days before they will rest in peace.

Ricky Steamboat defeated Triple H by pinfall at 18:27 to win their steel cage match and once again retain the right to challenge Chris Jericho for the UWA Men’s Universal Championship at WrestleMania III. Steamboat had what seemed like insurmountable odds to overcome. He refused to give up and held on long enough to allow his foes to make a major mistake. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan opened the cage door and tossed Triple H’s sledgehammer into the ring. When Triple H picked it up, Steamboat dropkicked him from behind, causing Triple H to go face-first into the turnbuckles and lose the sledgehammer. Special guest referee, Mr. McMahon picked up the sledgehammer and tried to hit Steamboat with it, but he sidestepped it and the Chairman smoked his son-in-law in the face instead!
Steamboat climbed the turnbuckles and then scaled the cage to the top, where he considered descending to the floor, but turned back to face the ring. He stood perched at the top of the cage and Mr. McMahon threatened to disqualify Steamboat if he dove onto him. That’s when Sting descended from the rafters, grabbed Mr. McMahon from behind and threw him into the cage, not once but twice, before giving him a Scorpion Death Drop. Rick Rude, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler came running down. Sting left the cage through the door and brawled with them. Rey Fénix and Penta El 0M came down to help Sting keep the members of the Heenan Family at bay. When Triple H got to his feet, Steamboat executed the diving crossbody from the top of the cage. With Mr. McMahon incapacitated, another referee had already entered the ring, and it was he who administered the pinfall.
