SoCal Val is with Nick Aldis about his upcoming match with Kamille Kaine. Winner advances to their respective Terrific Tussle match. The loser sits out. Aldis complains about Shane McMahon stacking the deck against him and refusing his right to a UWA Men’s Title rematch against Chris Jericho. His 1 million year galactic reign hasn’t ended, it’s just an intermission. Kaine cost him the title, not Jericho, and tonight she’ll get paid back and he’ll be on the road to revenge.

“Grizzled” Sam Houston wins a five man gauntlet match to keep his job and get the number one slot in the Terrific Tussle at 10:43.
Jock Samson and Tony Falk start out against each other, even though they’ve been allied. Falk has a tire iron behind his back and Samson has a pair of brass knuckles. They shake with their free hands, then both come around and nail each other, knocking the other guy out. Referee Tommy Young scratches his head and calls it a double disqualification.
Gambler and Snake Brown from Out of Town come out. Basic grappling to start. Gambler ducks on a crazy out of control crossbody try by Brown and then he stands up to take the Ace in the Hole high angle exploding lariat.
Sam Houston is out and we get some decent chain wrestling between the two. Houston gets a dropkick and tries for the bulldog, but Gambler flips him out of it. However, Gambler turns into a standing dropkick. He gets a sitout suplex slam for a two count. The bulldog finishes.
-----
SoCal Val is in the back with The Patriot holding a U.S. Flag. El Samurai has a Japanese flag and Blue Demon Jr. a Mexican flag. Patriot tells them to stay in the back and keep their flags down. Tonight his International Alliance of Masked Men will claim the WCW Trios Titles from the Powers of Fear. Because it’s one thing America knows a lot about it, it’s power, and if there’s one thing we don’t tolerate, it’s fear. A great man once said “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” and that man was Chuck Norris. Val tells him it was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Patriot says she’s lucky she’s pretty and she should smile more often.

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs with Dr. of Style, Slick defeated Junkyard Dog by pinfall at 7:45. JYD with the crawling headbutts and Hobbs rolls to the floor. Dog follows and chases, but is tripped by Slick and stumbles into Hobbs for a scoop slam on the outside. He whips JYD into the ring step and gets back into the ring. Dog beats the count coming in at nine, but is met with a rising knee lift and single arm DDT. Spinebuster for the finish.
------
SoCal Val has Kamille Kaine in the back. Kaine was the silent muscle behind Nick Aldis for years. She wanted to talk, but he always told her to just stand there and look intimidating. And any time she did talk or was allowed to get in that ring, it was all about serving him. She’s no longer anybody’s body guard, valet or stooge. She’s her own woman. She’s gone into business for herself and business is good.
COMMERCIAL
More Nitro Girl dancing after the break.
Kamille Kaine defeated “Universal Treasure” Nick Aldis by reverse decision at 12:57. Kaine backdrops out of the Treasure Chest (Pedigree) and drops an elbow. She gets Aldis up into a fireman’s carry, but he delivers a few elbows to the side of her head and drops out into a backstabber. Sharpshooter. Kaine makes the ropes to break. Aldis argues with referee Aubrey Edwards. Nick’s wife, Mickie James-Aldis, runs out and delivers an apron assisted DDT. She puts Kaine back on the apron and rolls under the ring. Aldis with the Treasure Chest for the win.
However, Shane McMahon comes out, reaches under the ring and pulls out Mickie by her hair. She’s thrashing and screaming about; doesn’t Shane know who her husband is. McMahon on the mic, reverses the decision based on James’ interference. Kaine advances to the Women’s Tussle at number 16 and Aldis is out of the Men’s Tussle. Aldis is livid in the ring as we fade.

He then goes to the floor and chews out Patriot for taking the floor, when Samurai needs them. Patriot can’t understand him and swings around to walk away and the flag nails Demon in the head. Back in the ring, Samurai eats a double big boot from Barbarian and Meng to set-up the aided powerbomb.
Winners: Powers of Fear by pinfall of Meng on El Samurai at 8:24

SoCal Val has Bret Hart and Chris Jericho in the back together. Hart says he’s been cordial to Jericho during the build up to their UWA Universal Men’s Title match tonight. He’s got no beef with him, but in that ring tonight, Hart will do whatever he can to win that UWA Universal Men’s Title belt and take it back with him to WWE. When he first came to WCW it was because Shane McMahon had worked out a deal with his father, Vince McMahon, to let Bret come in and clean up some family business. The payback was letting Hart get a Universal Men’s Title shot. He thought that was going to be against Nick Aldis, but Chris Jericho is much preferred.
Jericho says he hopes Hart didn’t say that because he thinks Y2J is an easier victory. Chris Jericho has had a long hard road back in what was CCW, into the new WCW, and the UWA as a whole. He’s not claiming to have a 1 million year galactic reign like Nick Aldis, but he’s not ready to give up the belt just two months in. But, Jericho would much rather be facing Hart tonight than Aldis. Hart is an honorable man, a fellow Canadian and Jericho can promise him no screwjobs tonight. They shake hands.
vs.
WCW Gulf Coast Title Match
Belt will changes hands on a count out or disqualification
Kurt Angle © vs. Bruno Sammartino

Young checks with Edwards and Marella on the floor, who say they didn’t see anything. And while he’s doing that, Sammartino does grab Angle’s hair to a pop and gets a heel trip. Sammartino rides Angle, but reverses, gets on Sammartino and delivers a few knees to the back and goes into a chinlock. Bruno breaks with a jaw jacker. Whip to the ropes and Sammartino nails a knee to the gut, drops an elbow and goes into a triangle leg lock. Angle crawls for the ropes to make the break. Body slam on Angle. Running big boot as Angle sits up. Back to the triangle leg lock. Angle makes the ropes again. As they come up, Angle tosses Sammartino through the ropes to the floor. Angle goes to the apron, but Marella and Edwards blocks him from coming down. Angle is getting hot. Sammartino makes the apron. Angle tries to suplex him in, but he fights Kurt off and delivers a few shoulder thrusts through the ropes. Sammartino with a rising knee lift back inside. Butterfly suplex for two. Shin breaker for two. Teardrop suplex for two. He tries the leg lock again, but Angle pokes him in the eye. Young gives him a warning. Angle with a series of European uppercuts. Snap suplex. Bruno with a bearhug. Bell ringer to break. Angle with a heel trip and he goes for the ankle lock, but Sammartino makes the ropes. Angle pulls him off the ropes, but Young makes him break it anyway. Angle argues with Young and then goes to the floor for a chair. Marella and Edwards try to stop him. Young makes the floor and they take the chair from Angle. He gets back into the ring while they’re dealing with the chair and Angle punts Sammartino in the balls. But he seems to hurt his foot and goes down. Bruno gets Angle’s own ankle lock. He holds on, but eventually submits. Sammartino reveals he was wearing a steel cup. Monsoon says this harkens back to their first match where Angle won with a mule kick to the crotch.
WINNER: Bruno Sammartino by submission at 18:32

SoCal Val has Blue Demon Jr. Thunder Rosa has been found to translate for him. “It’s obvious to me now, that the Patriot tricked me and El Samurai to come to WCW to propel his jingoistic attitudes toward foreign nations. He wanted the alliance to fail to blame Mexico and Japan for it, not to take any of the blame himself as the representative of the United States. El Samurai is returning to Japan, but I’m staying right here in WCW and the U.S. to teach the Patriot that pride in one’s country just isn’t exclusive to America and I, Blue Demon Jr., am a true patriot myself for Mexico.”

SoCal Val has Hulk Hogan in the back. “Let me tell you something, Foul Val. Paul Orndorff has got to play at being WCW World Champion for about two months now. He’s had his fun, but the fun ends tonight, brother. Orndorff said it himself, brother, that I beat him in an escape rules cage match before. Anything you can do once, you can do twice, jack. And with the 75.4 million Hulkamaniacs across the UWA-sphere behind me, climbing up one side and down the other of that 50 foot tall steel cage is going to be the easiest thing ever, brother. Orndorff hasn’t been pounding the iron like the Hulkster, brother, he’s been pounding something else in the Dudd Stable and it’s not Madusa if you get what I’m saying, jack. I’ve been saying the prayers, taking the vitamins and hanging and banging the right way, not like Orndorff and Magee do, brother. The WCW World Title comes back to me tonight, brother.”

WINNER: Kurt Angle by last eliminating Magnum TA at 65:05
Angle will face the UWA Universal Men’s Champion at Starrcade. Will it still be Chris Jericho? Hard to say. Monsoon says there will be some interesting fallout as the runner-up, Magnum TA, eliminated the WCW World Champion Paul Orndorff. Will there be any punishment to Orndorff for stealing Bob Holly’s spot? Will Hulk Hogan and Kevin Kross start a rivalry? Do the Smith Family have a new family feud with the Pillman Family? And speaking of families, what about Jake Roberts betraying his brother, Sam Houston? And there could be a lot of new feuds starting based on who eliminated who.
Angle celebrates and points at the Starrcade banner while the fans boo.
