AEW Dynamite - Dec. 7, 2022
MVP gets the win with the Playmaker in 3:47. After the match, Sammy Guevara comes out to the ring and informs MVP that he looks forward to seeing him in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale at Winter is Coming. MVP asks why they don’t fight now, and Sammy just smiles and walks away.

The Beautiful People give a promo backstage and talk about how ugly the women’s division is right now. The fans are lucky they came to AEW, or the whole division would be a dog show. Serena Deeb is walking by, and she tells them to call her ugly to her face. The Beautiful People walk off.

Match 2 - The Chosen Bros (5-1) vs. Jurassic Express (6-5)
During the match, Beer Money comes out and costs the Bros the match at 7:14 by attacking Jurassic Express. Riddle confronts Roode to ask what’s going on, and Roode punches him in the face, then slides out of the ring. Roode and Storm retreat up the ramp with smiles on their faces.

We see a recap of last week’s women’s triple threat match that saw Tay Melo earn a shot at the AEW Women’s Championship. Then we see Rousey’s vicious attack on Paige VanZant after the match, which broke VanZant’s arm and led to a suspension for Rousey.
Coach interviews Melo, who vows to give it her all at Winter is Coming and make her name as the first person to defeat Jade Cargill.

Match 3 - Raven (4-2) vs. Billy Kidman (4-6) w/ Malakai Black
Raven and Kidman go back-and-forth until Raven hits the Evenflow DDT on Kidman. Before he can go for the pin, Black slides in the ring and distracts the ref. The ref gets Black out of the ring after a short while, but when Raven goes to pin Kidman, Kidman rolls him up and gets the surprise pinfall victory at 8:39. After the match, Kidman slides out of the ring and Raven beckons Black into it. The leader of the House of Black looks on and walks up the ramp.
Raven - “You can run away now. But you can only run so far. We still have business to settle in this ring. And I want to keep others out. I’m a little bit crazy, I’ll admit that. But are you crazy enough to get locked in a cage with the Raven?” Black glares back at Raven as we cut to commercial.

The screen flickers and goes dark. We hear a woman screaming and #WinterIsComing pops up on the screen.

Match 4 - Shelton Benjamin w/ Cedric Alexander (1-1) vs. Scott Steiner w/ Rick Steiner (1-0)
It’s Benjamin’s raw athleticism against Steiner’s power, as Steiner works to keep the match grounded. Benjamin — an accomplished amateur wrestler himself — hangs in the match and is able to get out of a variety of holds and eventually works Steiner into the corner, where Benjamin hits a splash, followed by a springboard into a bulldog. The match ended when Benjamin went for another springboard, but Steiner caught him into a belly-to-belly suplex. He locked in the Steiner Recliner and eventually tapped out at 17:31.

Jake Hager comes to the ring with the All-Atlantic Championship on his shoulder. He talks about how Samoa Joe challenged him to a match last week, but it doesn’t matter what Joe wants or thinks he deserves. Jake Hager is going to end 2022 as the All-Atlantic Champion, and there’s not a thing anyone can do about it.

Match 5 - 6-man tag - LAX (4-4) vs. New Day (7-2)
During the match, Cesar Duran emerges from backstage with Brian Cage. Duran says that the New Day disrespected Natural Selection last week, and Cage is here to make them pay. While they’re distracted, Homicide hits Xavier Woods with a lead pipe, and Hernandez hits the Border Toss on him before tagging Konnan in to get the pinfall at 12:14. After the match, Cage walks to the ring and gets in Big E’s face, while LAX scatters to the back. Before E and Cage can brawl, a group of referees separate them.

Raven vs. Malakai Black in a steel cage match is announced for Winter is Coming.
—
Peter Avalon is talking with Dean Malenko backstage, pleading his case about the low blow. Avalon says they just need to get back in the ring again and prove that they can hang with the best. That’s why he got Tony Khan to book a match next week against The Outsiders. Malenko looks at Avalon questioningly, tells him he’d better not be up to anything fishy, and walks off.

Main Event - if Jarrett wins, he gets his rematch vs. Cody Rhodes at Winter is Coming
Jeff Jarrett (8-2) vs. Mick Foley (1-0)
Foley comes out as Mankind, and Jarrett looks disgusted. He tries to keep his distance from Mankind, but Mankind eventually grabs a hold of him with a handful of punches and later hits a pulling piledriver.
Jarrett works his way back after hitting a dropkick and a diving crossbody, but Mankind clotheslines him down to the ground. He then reaches into his pants and pulls out Mr. Socko! As he goes for Jarrett, Double J rolls out of the ring to regroup. He slides back in and takes control, focusing on Mankind’s legs. At the end of the match, Jarrett goes for a Figure Four. As he bends to lock it in, Mankind reaches up and applies the Mandible Claw with Mr. Socko. Jarrett lets go of his hold and gets to the ropes. As he gags in the corner, the ref checks on him. Mankind comes over to grab Jarrett, but he low blows Mankind without the ref seeing; Jarrett hits the Stroke and gets the pinfall victory at 12:49.
