Breaking news: Commissioner Eddie Graham will introduce two brand new championship title belts at AWA Spring Slam. The Stampede Mid-Heavyweight championship will be replaced by the AWA World Mid-Heavyweight title, and will be presented to the winner of the Dynamite Kid - Lou Thesz match. Furthermore, the Southern championship will be replaced by the AWA Intercontinental title, and will be presented to the winner of the Diamond Dallas Page - MJF match. The lineage of the retired titles will carry on through these new championships, as Graham wants to rebrand what some might consider "regional" titles.

With Slade announcing his hiatus, and with a draft presumably on the horizon, I'm actually just going to reboot UPW. I started tournaments, but with the what will be an influx of new and probably bigger name talent, I might as well just start over. Just thought I would formally let that be known.

Sorry guys for the lack of updates. I apologize for all of that. Life happens. I recently got a job promotion that changed my work hours and affected the quality of the writing I put out, and if I don't like what I write then I assume others won't as well. So instead of putting out things, I think sucks. I just don't write but I will get some fresh stuff out again.

After the immense financial and critical success of AWA Spring Slam, it is rumoured that Eddie Graham and Herb Abrams, as well as a couple of other prominent voices in the locker room, are pushing AWA owner Verne Gagne to further push the creative envelope. Insiders say that he is "receptive" to their input, and trusts Graham implicitly, but won't do anything to jeopardize their growth.

(*Editor's note: Due to a new agreement with ESPM, the NWA will be producing only a 1 hour TV program as ESPN has added more programing during the summer months.)

The AWA and head booker Eddie Graham amicably parted ways. Graham was presented with a different opportunity in the NWA, and Verne Gagne let him go. Former ROH and Evolve architect Gabe Sapolsky is expected to move into the head booking chair, but he will not be used on-camera; Jack Tunney will serve as the "figurehead" AWA President.
The Blond Bombers also left the AWA under less than ideal circumstances, with the dark match at Spring Slam - in their "hometown" of San Francisco - being the last straw. After that match, Gagne sent their contracts to the NWA.

Just for the sake of continuity, I am going to redact something I did recently. I am going to just have one weekly show , Thursday Night RUSH, on The Paramount Network that airs on Thursday nights at 7pm PT. It'll be recorded on Tuesdays.
