“STONE COLD” STEVE AUSTIN vs. ELIAS : “Stone Cold” Steve Austin executed a Stone Cold Stunner on Elias in just under three minutes, but a distraction by “Glorious” Bobby Roode allowed “Cowboy” James Storm to give Austin a Last Call. Elias went for the pin, but Austin kicked out. Elias took control for a bit, but Austin came storming back when the action left the ring. When it returned to the ring, Austin would execute another Stone Cold Stunner to get the win. Afterwards, he grabbed a mic and told Roode and Storm that if they had any sense in those dimwitted heads of theirs, they’d hit the exits and leave Buffalo right now because there ain’t nothing the Texas Rattlesnake loves more than goin’ huntin’, unless it’s drinking beers and kicking ass, and he figures them sumbitches just gave him an excuse to do all three of them things tonight! (6:15) -- Winner by Pinfall: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Becky Lynch about her match at Extreme Rules versus Bayley. Lynch said she was happy to finally get in the ring with Bayley one-on-one. When she beats Bayley, there will be no excuses. The world is going to see who the best wrestler in the world is today. To be THE MAN, you’ve got to beat THE MAN, and Bayley isn’t – She doesn’t get to finish the thought as Bayley lays into her with several shots from a kendo stick. She takes Lynch over to near a catering table and puts her through it with a Bayley-to-Belly suplex. She tells Lynch that after Extreme Rules, the whole world is going to know that it better to be a Role Model than to be a Man.
BRIAN PILLMAN vs. PAC : PAC went for the Black Arrow but Brian Pillman got his knees up and quickly pounced on PAC to apply a cross armbreaker. PAC scrambled around but got a toe underneath the bottom rope after about fifteen seconds. Nearly a minute later, Pillman executed a snap dragon suplex and then went for Air Pillman. PAC did a matrix evasion, executed a poison-rana and applied the Brutalizer. Pillman had no choice but to submit. (13:26) -- Winner by Submission: PAC
A backstage camera followed “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on his war path in search of members of the Billion Dollar Corporation. He turned a corner and ran into Chuck Palumbo. Then, Johnny Stamboli and Nunzio appeared. Austin told them to get out of his way or he would whip all their asses. Nunzio said that they had the numbers advantage, and implied that a big pay day from “The Million Dollar Man” gave them good reason to use it. They started to brawl, and while they got some good shots in, Austin eventually turned the tide and laid waste to the entire F.B.I.
BIG SWOLE & KILYNN KING vs. SHAYNA BASZLER & NIA JAX : Nia Jax executed a Samoan drop and a big running leg drop on Big Swole and Shayna Baszler put KiLynn King in the Ace of Spades to get the win. (4:48) -- Winners by Submission: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
Mean Gene Okerlund congratulated AJ Styles on winning the shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules but wanted to know if he was willing to speak about the nature of his business with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, who cameras spotted entering and exiting his dressing room last week. Styles said there is no business to speak of. Heenan wanted to represent him because he is Phenomenal, but Styles declined. He doesn’t need his representation. Eddie Guerrero crashed the interview and said he was unwise not to take it because Heenan might’ve been able to get him more favourable terms for their match at Extreme Rules. Styles told Guerrero he got the terms he wanted. He suggested to Vince that they fight inside a steel cage to keep all the other liars, cheaters, and stealers out of it and he loved it. See you inside the cage! Guerrero didn’t look pleased.
ORANGE CASSIDY & BEST FRIENDS vs. TOMMASO CIAMPA & THE BAR : Orange Cassidy hauled off on Sheamus and Cesaro, giving them both an Orange Punch, but he was then bowled over with a running clothesline from Ciampa, who them gave him the Fairy Tale Ending. Trent knocked Ciampa out of the ring, but then received a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Chuck Taylor tried to take care Sheamus, but Cesaro cut him off with a springboard tornado European uppercut. Sheamus gave white noise to Taylor as Cesaro executed the Neutralizer to Cassidy and pinned him for the win. (15:43) -- Winners by Pinfall: Tommaso Ciampa & The Bar
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin was still on the hunt for the BDC when he found Kaientai blocking a corridor. Taka Michinoku told Austin to stop where they were and turn around and go the other way because he wouldn’t want to mess with two men who were PURE EVIL! Sho Funaki said, “Indeed!” Austin charged towards them and they ran off in the other direction afraid to face the Texas Rattlesnake.
WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: REY MYSTERIO {c} vs. SANTOS ESCOBAR : Rey Misterio Jr. fought off interference attempts by Raul Mendoza and Joaquim Wilde, who were then tossed from ringside by the referee. Later, he escaped an attempt by Santos Escobar to execute the Thrill of the Hunt, executing a wheelbarrow bulldog to start a comeback that culminated with the 6-1-9 and a West Coast Pop for the win. (10:11) -- Winner by Pinfall: Rey Misterio Jr.
Still on his pursuit, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin encountered The Miz and John Morrison, who had a wall of security guards around them as they were conducting a photo shoot. Austin wanted to pass through as he saw “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, “Glorious” Bobby Roode and “Cowboy” James Storm on the other side of the photo shoot. Austin started whippin one security guard’s ass after another before The Miz and John Morrison got to him. Morrison smashed one of the spotlights over Austin’s head and The Miz gave him a Skull Crushing Finale on the floor. He said that’s what he gets for interrupting their shoot. However, John Bradshaw Layfield suddenly appeared and handed them both a large stack of cash. A great payout for a job well done!
KEVIN OWENS vs. “THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE : Kevin Owens was at a disadvantage with “Glorious” Bobby Roode and “Cowboy” James Storm at ringside. They created distractions that allowed the other to help DIBiase. Roode gave Owens a Glorious DDT on the floor that went unseen by the referee. As he was conducting his ten count, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin ran down to the ring and attacked. Both Storm and Roode got a Stone Cold Stunner. DiBiase hit Austin with a steel chair. While this madness was going on, Owens finally got up and started to climb into the ring, but he was pulled down by Brian Cage, who sent him into the steps. Cage pulled a table out from under the ring and put Owens through it with a Cage Breaker! Austin started fighting back against DiBiase but he was saved by JBL when he laid into Austin with a bull rope, whipping him repeatedly from behind. After several lashes, he clocked him with the cowbell and wrapped the rope around his neck. DiBiase held the rope tight as JBL backed away and then ran through him with a Clothesline From Wall Street. JBL took the mic from the ring announcer and said that if Austin wants a match with DiBiase, he’s gonna have to go through him first. He ain’t the only Texan who likes to scrap and before he got rich off the stock market, there weren’t none better at barroom brawlin’ than JBL. Austin wants a brawl, they’ll do the only way true Texans can – in a Texas Bullrope Match! (6:56) -- Double Disqualification
Bray Wyatt hosted another episode of the Firefly Funhouse wherein he discussed the topic of death. Ramblin’ Rabbit popped up and said that he didn’t like this topic. It too scary. Wyatt told Ramblin’ Rabbit that he isn’t alone. A lot of people are afraid of death. But it doesn’t have to be scary. Mercy The Buzzard showed up to back that up. He told Ramblin’ Rabbit that there used to be dead men among us. The dead men were frightening to many people. They did horrible despicable things like bury humans alive. They would target an individual and then put them in their grave long before they were ready to go. This was scary to Ramblin’ Rabbit, but Wyatt told him not to worry because even though the dead men would bury you and your entire family and tear them all apart, the darkness they brought to the world could not stop the light from shining in. Evil cannot rule the day. That’s why he finally came. He came to bury the dead. To make the evil forces of the dead go away; to burn in hell for an eternity. And that’s how he saved humanity. He can save us all. All we have to do is let him in.
TONI STORM vs. NIKKI BELLA : An attempt by Brie Bella to execute a running high knee backfired when Toni Storm moved out of the way and Brie hit her sister Nikki instead. Storm would give Brie an air raid crash and then execute Storm Zero on Nikki to get the pin in just under half the time it took Ripley to defeat her the week before. Storm got on the mic and said as much. She told Ripley that she’s taking her title at Extreme Rules. (4:35) -- Winner by Pinfall: Toni Storm
Mean Gene Okerlund spoke to Bobby “The Brain” Heenan to ask him about the sighting of him entering and exiting the dressing room of AJ Styles. Heenan denied this ever took place. Mean Gene told him he was caught on camera and Styles himself confirmed it. Heenan suddenly looked angry. He wanted to know what Styles said. Mean Gene said that he revealed that Heenan wanted to represent him but he turned him down. Heenan lost his composure and said Styles asked for a meeting with him and he turned him down! Heenan said that Styles wanted to become the first member of the Heenan Family. He wanted The Brain to take him to great heights because his career has stalled out. Heenan told him that saving his fledgling career was even beyond his genius, not least of all for working off a 40% commission. Mean Gene question the number. Heenan said it was a fair number for what he brings to the table, but finished by saying that Styles is a washed up has-been who doesn’t have what it takes to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion at Extreme Rules.
STING, AJ STYLES & ROWDY RODDY PIPER vs. ROMAN REIGNS, EDDIE GUERRERO & WALTER : Rowdy Roddy Piper made a blind tag as AJ Styles bounced off the ropes and ran into a big boot from WALTER. Piper set up Styles for a powerbomb, but Piper put him in a sleeperhold. Eddie Guerrero entered the ring and dropkicked Piper in the back. Sting entered the ring and then so did Roman Reigns. It became a pier six brawl. Sting landed Stinger splashes on Reigns and Guerrero. He took Guerrero out of the corner with a bulldog. Reigns went for a clothesline, but Sting ducked it and gave him the Scorpion Death Drop! WALTER threw Styles out of the ring and then nailed Sting with a running chop that dropped him. Piper dropped WALTER with a Lou Thesz Press. They rolled around in a fist fight. Meanwhile, Styles and Guerrero were engaged in a fist fight on the outside when Styles ducked a haymaker and gave Guerrero a belly-to-back suplex. When he got up, he was knocked over from behind with a clothesline from the hooded man who targeted him a few weeks ago. He picked up Styles and whipped him into the steel ring steps, then tossed him into the ring. Sting took notice and chased him off into the crowd. The distraction cost his team as Reigns took advantage of the situation by hitting a spear on Styles and pinning him for the win. (16:50) -- Winners by Pinfall: Roman Reigns, Eddie Guerrero & WALTER
