CCW Gulf Coast Wednesday Warfare, Episode 16
Taped at the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama
Commentators: Bob Caudle and Dutch MantelRing Announcer: SoCal Val
The show opens with a replay of the end of Superstar Saturday with Big E Langston answering Eddie Kingston’s challenge for a title match and then hitting him with a Big Ending. We then go live to Kingston in the ring. He asked for somebody to step up and Big E did. Fine. Big E wanted to make a statement to prove he deserved the title shot at Hollywood Homecoming. Fine. He made his statement and Kingston heard it loud and clear. He gets it. Unicorn horns and flipping pancakes to the crowd doesn’t get this CCW World Heavyweight Title around your waist. You got to be serious and you got to want it. Fine. You want to run with the big boys Big E, you got it, but be careful what you ask for, it might not be what you want.
Caudle and Mantel then rundown the show which includes a number one contender’s match for the TV Title between Eli Drake and Jock Samson, Ronnie Garvin will get his hands on the newest York Foundation member, Marcus Alexander Bagwell, and the New Day will be in action so we’ll see what Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods thinks of Big E’s new attitude.

Patriot shoves Brown back and he goes down, rolling over and to his feet into the corner. Patriot charges, but Brown moves and Patriot posts himself. Brown with a backstabber. He works a body scissors on the mat and pounds on Patriot’s face. He makes the ropes to break. Brown won’t break. Marella gets him to break. They argue and Patriot gets a schoolboy rollup from behind for two. Both up and Snake eats another straight arm clothesline. Patriot whips him to the far corner and charges. Brown moves and points to his head to prove how smart he is, but Patriot pulled up. Brown eats a one handed bulldog from behind. Running shoulderbreaker. Brown stumbles up into Uncle Slam.
WINNER: The Patriot via pinfall in 5:12

Tom Magee and Chris Jericho taped promo where they’re at the gym. They recap how Jericho has to go on Magee’s training program for six months and if he refuses, he sits out the rest of his contract. They’re going to do some weight lifting. Let’s just warm up with 100 pounds on the bench press. Jericho scoffs, don’t insult him. How much does Magee bench? He can max out at 235 kilograms. In American, son. Uh, Jericho is Canadian too. Anyway, that’s roughly 518 pounds. Okay, let’s do 500 pounds. Magee says okay. He loads up the weights and Y2J can’t even budge it. Magee goes to take some weight off and Jericho says no. Tom walks off as Chris continues to grunt and strain at the bar with no affect.
Back to the ring, Sunny is in the ring and with a microphone. “Pretty Boy” Sean Casey can’t go to the gym anymore, because he gets mobbed by all the women. He thinks he’s handsome, he knows he’s hot and all the women want him whether they admit it or not.

The Varsity Blondes (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) with Sunny vs. The Rock ‘n Roll RPMs (Tommy Lane and Mike Davis)
Referee: Tommy Young
Pillman and Davis start out with some chain wrestling and then into a crisscross sequence. Mike gets a leapfrog, but gets clotheslined by Garrison on the apron. Young chastises him, and that allows Pillman to land an eye gouge. Invented atomic drop into a short leap clothesline. He goes to an armbar and tags Garrison. He comes in from the top with an axe handle to the arm. He takes over on the arm and goes into a fireman’s carry takeover. He works the arm on the mat. Davis works up and reverses into an armbar into an arm wringer. Tag to Lane. He works the arm and goes into a vertical suplex. Jumping leg drop misses. Tag to Pillman. He enters with a basement dropkick as Tommy sits on the mat. Pillman with a headlock and he runs the near corner for a headlock takedown. Lane works up, shoots Brian into the ropes and knocks him down with a shoulder block. He leans into the ropes and Davis gets a blind tag. Double elbow drop. They pull Pillman up and throw him into the ropes, but he ducks a double back elbow try and comes back with a double flying clothesline. Tag to Garrison and Lane rolls out to the apron. Spinebuster to Davis. Spear.
WINNER: Varsity Blondes via pinfall of Garrison over Davis at 7:20
In the back hallway, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston find Big E Langston and asks him what’s going on. He hasn’t returned any of their calls all week and they have a match tonight. He didn’t want to hear them chewing him out for hitting the Big Ending on Eddie Kingston. He’s tired of the two of them holding him back and forcing him to do bad comedy. They’ve never forced Big E to do anything. They thought he wanted to be with them having fun. The time for fun is past. They have two options. Either stand with him or get out of his way, but Booty O’s and trombone playing is long gone. He’s made his choice, now they make theirs. He walks off.
The camera then pans down the hallway to a door. It opens and Aubrey Edwards walks out pulling down her referee’s shirt over her bare stomach. She walks down the hall away from the camera. A few seconds later, Eli Drake emerges, looking pretty pleased with himself.

A pre-taped promo from Mr. T addresses his appearance at Destination Dallas and the challenge Andy Kaufman has made for him to show up on the next Superstar Saturday. He’ll be there and he won’t be alone. He thought he could reach Hulk, but Kaufman has rotted his mind with this crazy Thunderlips business. That was a movie, this is real life. And Mr. T and his partner is going to deliver Kaufman and Hulk a reality check.

Eli Drake vs. Jock Samson
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
The commentators mention what we saw before the break and how there has been a lot of questionable calls and issues in Drake matches lately refereed by Edwards. Lockup with grappling to start. Drake gets an abdominal stretch, but Samson hip tosses him out. Samson drops down into a rear chinlock with a knee to the back. Drake powers up and fires off three elbows to the gut. He shoots Samson into the ropes and knocks him down with a shoulder block. Elbow drop misses. Jock lays in the boots and Edwards admonishes him, even though it’s not illegal. Drake gets up and as Jock goes into him, he takes a blow to the throat. Aubrey ignores it. Scoop slam off the ropes and Drake covers for what feels like a fast two count. Whip to the ropes, but Drake telegraphs a backdrop and Jock slides into a snap DDT. He covers for one……two……kick out. Mantel says the count felt slow. Belly to belly suplex for another slow two count. Whip to the corner and an avalanche. Running bulldog out of the corner. Samson lines up the three point stance. Edwards is in the way. Jock tells her to move. You don’t yell at the ref. They argue and Drake flies in over top Aubrey to get a diving neckbreaker. He goes for a piledriver, but Samson backdrops out. Both men down. Samson runs at Drake, but he pulls the top rope down and Samson goes to the floor. 12345678910. Super fast out of ring count.
WINNER: Drake by count out at 9:50
Tommy Young comes out and argues with Aubrey Edwards. He brings her recent officiating in Eli Drake matches up. Young points to the back and tells Edwards that she’s done for the night. She will be having a performance review. The commentators mention how Young is letting the results stand, at least for now.

Nicholas Aldis, Kamille York and Marcus Alexander Bagwell are out at the commentators position. Aldis chastises Garvin for taking the bait he laid out. Maybe he’s not getting a title shot at Hollywood Homecoming, but neither is Garvin. His goal is to make an example out of him. You stick your nose into the business of Nicholas Aldis and the York Foundation and you’ll get it chopped off. The big difference between Garvin and Aldis is that Garvin got lucky one time and became a world champion for a brief moment. Aldis is good everyday and he’ll be a world champion again very soon, believe it. That’s why he can wait and take his time brutalizing Garvin. That starts tonight with the newest member of the York Foundation, Marcus Alexander Bagwell.

The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) and Big Bully Busick with Downtown Bruno vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E Langston)
Referee: Tommy Young
Big E comes out separate from Kingston and Woods. He stands on the apron in their corner, but kind of apart from them. Woods starts with English. They lockup and English push Woods into his corner. Busick nails Woods in the back from the apron. Young yells at him. Tag to Busick. He works Woods over with several shoulder thrusts in the corner. Hip toss out. Big boot. Woods rolls out of the way of a splash. Busick comes up into the Honor Roll, followed by the springboard one-handed bulldog. Tag to Kingston. He nails Busick with a missile dropkick. He falls into his own corner and tags Gotch. Simon makes with the boxer stance and Kingston mocks him by doing the same. Gotch seems upset. Kingston stomps on his foot and then works the double chops. Gotch comes back with a European uppercut and they trade those for a bit. Kofi drives Simon into the corner and gets a monkey flip. Diving crossbody leads to the Boom Drop for a cover, but English breaks it up. Gotch tags Busick. Kingston seems hesitant, but reaches out to tag Big E and he takes it.
Stare down between the big guys. Busick wants a test of strength. They lock up, but Langston immediately kicks Bully in the gut and then clubs him in the back. Whip to the corner and an avalanche. Belly to belly suplex out of the corner. Repeated knee drops to the head. Kingston and Woods are yelling at Langston from the apron because he’s being too brutal. Big E gets up and just stares at them. He slaps Woods hard in the chest for the tag and then slingshots him in from the apron. Kingston gets in Big E’s face as he takes the apron. Langston punches him, slings Kofi into the Big Ending and delivers it dropping from the apron to the floor. Big E walks up the aisle. Meanwhile in the ring, Busick tags English, who tags Gotch and they win with the Whirling Dervish.
WINNERS: Vaudevillains by pinfall of Gotch on Woods at 15:39
Big E gets a microphone on the entrance ramp and says there was a third option he decided to take. And that was to move the New Day out of his way. It’s a new day alright, for him, and it’s nightfall for Kingston and Woods. We fade.
