HARLEM HEAT vs. IMPERIUM : While Imperium had their moments when they dictated the pace of the match, this was mostly a showcase of the WWE Tag Team Champions Harlem Heat. Booker T and Stevie Ray executed the Towering Inferno on Marcel Barthel. Booker T pinned him and Stevie Ray stood by to make sure Fabian Aichner couldn’t interrupt the 3-count. (8:10) -- Winners by Pinfall: Harlem Heat
RHEA RIPLEY vs. PEYTON ROYCE : Peyton Royce put up a greater challenge for Rhea Ripley than her IIconics partner Billie Kay did last week, however in the end, her attempt to lift Ripley into a brainbuster was blocked and countered with a vertical suplex. After giving Ripley a running big boot, Ripley put her in the Prism Trap to make her tag out. (6:14) -- Winner by Submission: Rhea Ripley
“Mean” Gene had an exclusive pre-recorded sit down interview with Eddie Guerrero, who is challenging Ricky Steamboat for his WWE Intercontinental Championship at Hell in a Cell. Latino Heat talked up his heritage and explained why lying, cheating, and stealing were the best ways to get ahead in life and in wrestling. Steamboat can expect his title reign to end at Hell in a Cell. A new champion will be crowned and the era of Latino Heat will begin!
CHAD GABLE vs. TRIPLE H : Triple H was setting Chad Gable up for the Pedigree when the entrance music of Kevin Owens began to play. Triple H released Gable and surveyed the arena for Owens but didn’t see him. When he went back to grab Gable, he received a back body drop and a bridging northern lights suplex that got a 2-count. Gable whipped Triple H to the ropes but received a knee-to-face and a lariat. Triple H set up for the Pedigree but Owens’ entrance music began to play again. This time he was seen cutting through the crowd, headed in the direction of the ring. Triple H let go of Gable to be ready for Owens. Gable regrouped, executed a standing dropkick that knocked Triple H into the ropes and took him down with a quick snap bridging German suplex. It was enough of a shock to Triple H’s system to keep his shoulders down just past the count of three. (6:45) -- Winner by Pinfall: Chad Gable
Gable celebrated his improbable victory and left the ring before Triple H could get his hands on him. Triple H grabbed a mic and aired out his frustrations, blaming the loss on Kevin Owens. He said this needs to end right now. He asks Owens what it will take to make him go away. Owens has made it down to ringside by now. He grabs a mic and tells Triple H that he wants a match, and when he wins, he and the rest of the men and women he put out of work when he shut down NXT get to stay in WWE. Triple H says that he’ll only agree to that if Owens agrees to never show his face in WWE ever again when he loses to The Game. Owens says he’ll accept those terms if that is what it takes to get the match. Triple H tells him there’s one more thing – they’re playing by his rules. The match will be inside Hell in a Cell!
The Undertaker vs. Alexander Wolfe : Alexander Wolfe whipped The Undertaker into the ropes. The Undertaker ducked a clothesline, bounced off the opposite ropes and gave Wolfe a jumping high-angle big boot. He gave the throat-slitting hand gesture. WALTER got up from commentary and jumped onto the ring apron. The Undertaker ran over and gave him a big boot to knocked him to the floor. Wolfe tried to attack The Undertaker from behind, but he turned around in time to catch him with a chokehold and a chokeslam. He executed a Tombstone and got the 3-count. (6:23) -- Winner by Pinfall: The Undertaker
AL SNOW vs. BRIAN CAGE : Al Snow was consulting Head on what to do next after escaping a vertical suplex and giving Brian Cage a German suplex instead. Cage ran over and leveled him with a discus elbow smash and a superkick. He grabbed Head and ripped a huge chunk of her hair out. Snow was upset and tried to attack but gave him a side belly-to-belly suplex, which he followed with a buckle bomb and then a Cage Breaker powerbomb for the win. After the match, Cage grabbed Head and ripped the rest of her hair out. (5:19) -- Winner by Pinfall: Brian Cage
Bret “The Hitman” Hart came down to the ring to address the elephant in the room. It is no secret that he is weaker than normal after having been speared on the concrete floor by Roman Reigns two weeks ago. He isn’t feeling 100%, but he’s getting close, and he promises to be at 100% come Sunday. And even if he isn’t, he’s still the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. That’s a fact that scares Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. It’s why Heyman told Reigns to try to put Hart on the shelf. Heyman knows that Reigns needs every little advantage he can get because he knows that his meal ticket can’t beat the Excellent of Execution in a fair fight if his life depended on it.
Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns came out. Heyman started talking about how offended he is that Hart would float the idea that Heyman has no faith in his client to beat anyone and everyone, including The Hitman. Reigns took the mic from Heyman and said that Hart’s braincells must have been all shook up by the spear because what he is saying makes no sense. Reigns points out that he is the WWE Universal Champion and the Head of the Table and says that he’s going to beat Hart and take his place at the Head of the Table at his daddy Stu’s house.
Hart didn’t like this and challenged Reigns to a fight right away. Reigns handed the title over to Heyman and climbed into the ring. Reigns and Hart traded blows. Reigns got the better of the exchange. He pushed Hart back a few steps and hit a Superman Punch. Hart grabbed his jaw and slowly turned over. Reigns gave him separation and readied for a spear. Hart was very slow to get up. When he make it to his feet, Reigns charged in and hit him with a spear. They were both down for a few moments until Hart pushed Reigns off him and got up. Reigns appeared to be unconscious. Hart grabbed a mic and told Heyman to tell his client after he wakes up that The Hitman is 100% and the only idiot in the ring right now is the current, soon to be former, WWE Universal Champion. Hart took off his Calgary Flames hockey jersey, and unrolled a huge amount of tape from around his torso to reveal he had been wearing a large metal plate. He threw the metal plate on the mat and left to the adulation of the crowd.
IVORY vs. TENILLE DASHWOOD : Ivory went for a diving crossbody but received a dropkick while she was in mid-flight. Dashwood gave her a sidewalk slam and then executed the Spotlight kick to secure the victory. (6:42) -- Winner by Pinfall: Tenille Dashwood
#DIY vs. WORLD’S GREATEST TAG TEAM : This was a highly competitive tag team match that saw both teams trade multiple close pinfall attempts. Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas executed the leap-frog stun gun on Tommaso Ciampa and pinned him, but Johnny Gargano made the save. Gargano put Benjamin in the Garga-No-Escape but Haas broke it up. Haas and Benjamin executed the superkick bridging German suplex combo on Gargano but Ciampa broke it up. Ciampa executed the Willow’s Bell on Haas but Benjamin broke it. After all these close finishes, the match came to an end with Ciampa giving Benjamin a back drop over the ropes to the ring apron. Gargano superkicked him to the floor and gave him a few topé suicidas into the barricade until he was down for good. Ciampa tagged Gargano in and together they executed the Meeting in the Middle on Haas. Gargano pinned him for the win. (18:26) -- Winners by Pinfall: #DIY
“Mean” Gene had an exclusive pre-recorded sit down interview with WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricky Steamboat, who spoke of his long road to become a champion in Mash-Up Wrestling. He spoke of the merits of hard work and dedication to his craft and said why he felt he was better prepared to take on all challengers than other superstar in WWE. Steamboat said that lying, cheating and stealing can get you far, but it won’t take you all the way, and Eddie Guerrero is going to learn that lesson first hard when it fails him and he comes up short at Hell in a Cell. Steamboat will walk in as the champion and leave as the champion.
STING vs. “MILLION DOLLAR MAN” TED DIBIASE : As one might expect by now, this match like all other recent matches involving members of the Billion Dollar Corporation, saw the rest of the membership show up at ringside. Rowdy Roddy Piper came out to ringside as well. The referee didn’t want to deal with them and barred them all from ringside. Sting got on a roll. After landing a pair of Stinger splashes, he was poised to go for the Scorpion Death Drop, but DiBiase raked his eyes and left the ring. He was ready to abandon the match but Sting chased after him and brought him back to the ring. DiBiase got on his knees and begged for mercy. Sting would have none of it and brought the fight back to him. However, an Irish whip attempt that was reversed three times over ended with Sting getting flung into the referee. This brought out the previously barred members of BDC and then Piper. There was a big brawl. Piper took out Bobby Roode and James Storm with chair shots but received a Clothesline From Wall Street and was then powerbombed through the broadcast table. DiBiase pulled his loaded black glove out of his trunks and nailed Sting with it. He tucked it away again and a new referee counted the pinfall to give him the win. (11:39) -- Winner by Pinfall: “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
When the match was over, the BDC celebrated. They took a mic and talked about how they were the greatest force in professional wrestling today. They said it was time to move onto bigger and better things after repeatedly beating Piper and Sting. They can’t hang with the BDC. Nobody can. When they got to the top of the entrance ramp, Sting spoke on the house mic. He said he was still standing. He said it wasn’t over. Piper climbed into the ring and said that if they really wanted it to be over, they would have to try to beat them just one more time. And this time, they’ll even let anything go when it’s DiBiase & JBL vs. Piper & Sting inside Hell in a Cell!
