CCW Superstar Saturday on SCA, episode 24
The camera pans the Andy Kaufman Studios in Dothan, Alabama, and then comes upon the commentary team of Gorilla Monsoon and the Honky Tonk Man.
GM: Good morning, one and all. Gorilla Monsoon and the Honky Tonk Man here with your for another exciting edition of Superstar Saturday.
HTM: Hush your prattling, Monsoon. We have somebody really important to kick off the show and you better give him the proper respect.
GM: (scoffing) Here at the commentary desk now, we have CCW co-owner Andy Kaufman.
AK: That will be soul owner after Kaufmania when I defeat ODB.
GM: Later on, ODB will be facing an opponent of your choice with the winning side picking the special guest referee for Kaufmania. Who is your mystery man?
AK: I will announce that right before the match. I don’t want ODB to have an advantage in knowing who it is.
GM: Everybody has turned you down so far, huh?
AK: ……The main reason I’m out here is to make a major announcement about Kaufmania. This show is going to be too big and too spectacular for just one night. Kaufmania has been extended to two nights, March 13 and 14 at the Super Dome in New Orleans. Most of both nights will be announced at the end of today’s program, but there might still be a match or two to come after Wednesday Warfare. This will be the biggest event ever at the Super Dome, for CCW and, nay I say, maybe all of professional wrestling ever. And who is bringing it to the unwashed masses? Me, Andy Kaufman, not Ron Fuller. Remember that, especially after I take sole control of this company.
Vs.
Shawn Michaels and the Hooliganz (Brian Kendrick and Paul London) vs. Marty Jannetty and Badd Company (Paul Diamond and Pat Tanaka)
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
Michaels wants Jannetty and they start, but he tags out quickly to Tanaka. A long crisscross sequence, but Jannetty knees Michaels from the apron in between the ropes. Tanaka with a thrust kick. Tag to Diamond. Double side Russian leg sweep. Diamond telegraphs a backdrop and Shawn gets a sunset flip for two. Tag to Kendrick. He comes in with a flying head scissors. He works a series of Japanese arm drags. He grounds Diamond and tags London. London comes in with an elbow to the arm off the top turnbuckle. London with a flying forearm. He tries a superkick, but Diamond turns it into a dragon screw leg whip. Tag to Jannetty. He comes in with a blockbuster and covers for two. He lines up the Rocker Dropper, but London flips him out of it. Marty lands on his feet, but London hits him with a jumping heel kick enzuigiri. Tag to Kendrick. He nails Diamond with a leg lariat and a springboard DDT. Jannetty breaks up the cover by kicking Kendrick in the head. Michaels flies in to take out Marty with a flying clothesline. Everyone is brawling and in the chaos, Marty ducks a superkick by Michaels, and it nails Diamond. Tower of London.
WINNER: Michaels and the Hooliganz by pinfall of London on Diamond

Ultimate Warrior vs. Cactus Jack
Referee: Joey Marella
Cactus Jack jumps Warrior at the bell, who totally no sells. Warrior starts slugging back. Jack eats a running clothesline and rolls to the floor. Warrior follows with a double axe handle off the apron. He throws Jack back inside. Warrior with a slingshot splash back inside, but Jack gets his knees up. Into the ropes and they go back outside with the Cactus Clothesline. Cactus Elbow off the apron misses. Warrior body slams Jack on the outside. Back inside, Warrior sends Jack down with a flying clothesline. Gorilla press slam. Monster splash off the ropes.
WINNER: Ultimate Warrior in 5:37
Warrior goes over to the commentary position while snarling and snorting.
UW: Beast Bautista you have called out the Warrior. Like many foolish fools before you, you believe you can usurp the Warrior and absorb my power to be your own. The gods do not smile on you, they smile on me now and forever. Much like you, Beast Bautista, I have walked miles inside this pit of danger. A place where no one follows me. I walk alone. But at Kaufmania, we will walk together into history, but one on of us, the one the warrior gods choose to smile upon, will walk out alone.

vs.
Edge vs. Frankie Kazarian
Referee: Tommy Young
Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky are at ringside. One distracts the referee, allowing the other to interfere on Kazarian’s behalf. Edge sets up the Edgecution DDT, but Daniels jumps up on the apron. Edge is close enough to the ropes for Sky to nail him in the back of the head. Kaz scores a northern lights suplex for two. Bicycle kick. Hangman’s neckbreaker leads to a DDT for two. Swinging reverse STO gets two. Frankie is getting frustrated and points to the top rope. He goes up top, but Edge lunges to the ropes to shake them and Kaz crotches himself. Sky distracts Young this time. As Edge is hanging over the top rope, Daniels gets a drive by kick. Frankie recovers and misses a swanton. Edge-O-Matic. He goes for the Edgeucator again. Daniels distracts and Sky jumps up on the apron, which Edge is expecting. He catches Sky with a stunner that snaps his head off the top rope. He falls to the floor. Edge whips Kaz into the ropes while yelling for Young to move. He does and Kaz collides into Daniels. Frankie stumbles off and into the spear. Edge rolls out of the ring and exits through the crowd before SCU recovers.
WINNER: Edge by pinfall at 15:03 GM: Out here with us now is “National Treasure” Nick Aldis. He’ll be in the main event today against CM Punk with something to prove.
NA: Gorilla, I have nothing to prove. What needs to be done is for me to receive what is rightfully mine. I was screwed at Terrific Tussle. I was screwed at Glorious Grapple…
“Yada, yada, yada, stuff it,” calls a voice from off camera. It’s “Stunning” Steve Austin.
SA: I’m sick and tired of you complaining about what you deserve and how everyone is against you. Here’s a newsflash, maybe you just suck.
NA: Austin, you can’t claim to have been unfairly screwed out of title opportunities, because you lose all the damn time. You were tossed from the Terrific Tussle, a match I was never able to enter. You lost to Randy Savage at Glorious Grapple, while I wasn’t pinned in my match at all.
SA: Let’s see how you do against CM Punk in the main event. Watch you lose and come back crying how the ropes were loose, or the referee had something in his eye. Wah, wah.
Austin walks off. Aldis points after him and yells.
NA: We’ll see who’s crying at the end of the show, Austin.

Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. Strike Force (Rick Martel and Tito Santana)
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. Strike Force (Rick Martel and Tito Santana)
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
Strike Force uses their speed to befuddle Demolition to start and gets a lot of quick tags. Santana goes for a Thesz Press on Smash, but he catches him and falls backwards, so Ax can jump up and clothesline him from the apron. Tag to Ax. Running power slam for two. Tito ducks a clothesline and tries a flying crossbody coming back the other way. Ax catches him and delivers a backbreaker. Smash comes in with a walk rope elbow drop. Edwards forces him out of the ring. Ax chokes out Tito on the mat. He misses a blind charge in the corner. Santana dives to tag Martel. Rick comes in with a leg lariat. Scoop slam off the ropes. He goes to the Boston Crab. Smash tries to come in, but Tito leaps over Martle and Ax on the mat to nail Smash with a flying forearm. Ax powers to the ropes for the break. Martel goes for a double axe handle, while Ax is bent over, but he flips him over the ropes. Martel skins the cat. Ax is surprised by a dropkick. Jackknife cover for two. Tag to Santana for a double hip toss. Smash walks into a double dropkick. Whip to the corner and Santana eats a boot on a charge. Ax bulldogs him. Spike DDT. Smash cuts off Martel on the save.
WINNER: Demolition by pinfall of Ax on Santana at 12:49
GM: Joining us now at the commentary position is the vice president of talent relations for CCW, Robert Fuller, the brother of our co-owner Ron Fuller.
RF: Well, co-owner for right now, Monsoon. We don’t know how the match at Kaufmania will turn out. But, I’m not here to talk about that. I knew that would be a great tag team encounter, so this would make a perfect time to announce another match for Kaufmania. A 10-team battle royal with the winners receiving a Southeastern Tag Team Title shot. We always say CCW has the best tag team division ever and this is a way to demonstrate it.
GM: Who will be in this battle royal?
RF: The two teams we just saw, the Rock ‘n Roll Express, British Bruisers, Hooliganz, SCU, Murdoch Violence Connection, Fantastics and Badd Company.
GM: That’s only nine teams.
RF: The final team will be a surprise and it will be a big one.

“Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig
Referee: Joey Marella
“Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig
Referee: Joey Marella
Hennig goes to a headlock to start and Savage pushes him out of it into the ropes. A crisscross sequence ends with Randy nailing a clothesline. Curt slides halfway out of the ring and is laying partially on the ring apron. Savage goes out to the floor and drives an elbow into the throat. Before he can do more damage, Brian Cage walks out. They exchange words. This allows Hennig to get behind Savage and drive him into the ring post. He then bashes Savage’s face into the ring wall. Curt rolls back into the ring and jaws with Marella. Cage hits a Snake Eyes on the ring wall and throws Savage back into the ring.
Curt lines up the Perfect-Plex, but Randy blocks and reverses to a regular suplex. Whip to the ropes and he takes Hennig down with a hooking lariat. Savage goes for a running power slam, but Hennig slides off the back and pushes Savage into the near corner. He catches him on the bounce out with a German suplex with bridge for two. Mr. Perfect delivers a few kicks to the ribs. Savage is sitting on the mat and Perfect gets the rolling neck snap. Northern lights suplex for two.
Hennig tosses Savage to the floor and distracts Marella. Cage tries a powerbomb, but Savage blocks and hits a hurricarana. He quickly pops up to the top turnbuckle and surprises Curt with a double axe handle. Body slam. Savage up top for the elbow smash. Cage shakes the ropes and Randy crotches himself. Marella admonishes him. Hennig goes up for a superplex. Savage blocks and shoves him off. Hennig rolls backwards and to his feet. Savage with a flying crossbody. Hennig rolls through it for a pin attempt. One…two…kick out. Savage with a standing dropkick and a facebuster. He goes back up top and instead of landing the elbow drop, he goes outside with a double axe handle to Cage. They brawl. Hennig with a suicide dive, but Randy moves and he nails Cage. Macho Man throws Curt back into the ring and comes in with a slingshot splash. Fireman’s carry slam and finally the elbow smash from on high.
WINNER: Randy Savage by pinfall at 15:39
Cage enters the ring post-match and starts beating on Cage. Sting descends from the ceiling with a baseball bat in hand. He scares off Cage and Hennig. However, this draws out Ric Flair. Sting points the bat at him and goes back into the rafter. Flair goes to the commentary position.
RF: Sting, you run and hide while you can. Kaufmania will be the final chapter between you and me. One of us stays, one of us goes and the Nature Boy isn’t going anywhere. Woo! The Revival will take back the Gulf Coast Tag Team Titles from the Brain Busters. Mr. Perfect will win back the Wild Card Title from Sid. Brian Cage will retain the Southeastern Heavyweight Title against that pile of broken humanity in the ring now, Randy Savage. Kaufmania will really be Horseman Mania! Woo!

GM: Okay, Andy, it’s time to reveal who your mystery opponent is for ODB.
AK: It’s a man who like me, could never stand to lose to a woman. A man who knows that male is superior to female. It’s also one of the few wrestlers who have always supported me here in CCW. Your broadcast partner, Monsoon…the Honky Tonk Man!
HTM looks shocks and tries to stammer out a response. ODB hits the floor, comes over, grabs Honky and marches him over to the ring.
GM: You couldn’t find anybody else, huh?
AK: Shut your mouth, Monsoon.

ODB vs. Honky Tonk Man
Winning side selects special guest referee for ODB vs. Kaufman at Kaufmania
Referee: Aubrey Edwards
ODB gives HTM a tour of the ring by smashing his head into each top turnbuckle. On the last corner, she boots him several times until he slides down. She backs up and goes for the Bronco Muncher, but Kaufman pulls HTM out to the floor. Fuller comes over and threatens Kaufman. ODB hits the floor and tries to post HTM, but he reverses and she goes into the ring post. HTM goes back into the ring and dances. Happy to take a count out win. Kaufman tries to keep ODB down, but Fuller runs him off. She reenters the ring, but Honky cuts her off with several clubbing blows. There’s the shake…the rattle…ODB gets her feet underneath her and drives HTM into the corner. She brings him out with a hip toss and then delivers a seated drop kick to his back while sitting on the mat. She nails a suplex. Honky barely kicks out of the cover. Kaufman gets in the ring and argues what he believes is a fast count. While doing this, Kaufman drops some sort of foreign object on the mat. HTM quickly covers it. Fuller comes in to drive Kafuman off, but didn’t see the foreign object drop. However, Jerry Lawler watching in the back must have seen it and comes out. Gorilla Monsoon quickly recaps the recent trouble between Lawler and his cousin, Honky Tonk Man. Lawler gets on the ring apron and tries to get Edwards’ attention. HTM comes over and yells at him. Lawler with a big punch. The foreign object goes flying. ODB catches it, nails HTM in the head. Bam Cutter.
WINNER: ODB by pinfall at 6:11
Andy Kaufman, who was dealing with Ron Fuller on the floor, runs into the ring and wants to know what the hell happened. Fuller gets a microphone from the floor.
RF: ODB won today and she’ll win at Kaufmania. I wasn’t sure who I was going to name as the special referee if we won, but I think it’s clear. We name, a man you know very well Kaufman, Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Lawler smiles as the crowd pops. Kaufman freaks out as we go to break.

Gorilla Monsoon is alone at the commentary position.
GM: Usually, Dutch Mantel would come out to fill in with a situation like this, but I’ve already got a designated special color man for our main event. He’s the MUW Men’s Champion, Samoa Joe.
Joe comes out to a mixed crowd reaction. He’s a big star, but also not a CCW guy. He takes HTM’s seat and puts on his headset. He wrinkles his nose.
SJ: Damn, this spot smells like peanut butter and sweat.
GM: That’s Honky Tonk Man’s unique musk.
SJ: CM Punk challenged me to be here today and so I am. I don’t need to check Punk out. I know him and he knows me. At Kaufmania, I can’t believe that’s what the show is called, we will teardown the house like I know we can. But, him wanting me to be here says one thing to me. Punk is trying to impress me. He’s trying to say he’s a valid challenger to my title. He’d never say it out loud, but he doubts himself and that’s deadly when you’re dealing with the Samoan Submission Machine.

CM Punk vs. “National Treasure” Nick Aldis with Kamille
Referee: Tommy Young
Lockup to start. They trade off on a hammerlock. Aldis drops while getting a snap mare. He goes to a chinlock with a knee in the back. He then goes to a headlock and works that on the mat. Aldis slowly works up and segues into a springboard bulldog. He points at Joe and says “you’re next.” Joe on commentary says Aldis has a lot of hoops to jump through before that happens. This allows Punk to recover and he slugs Aldis in the gut several times from the knees. Punk drives Aldis into the near corner with forearms. He brings him out with a half nelson bulldog. Punk goes to a camel clutch and jaws at Joe while he works it. Joe says both men need to focus on each other and not him.
Aldis powers up and slams Punk into the mat to break. Rolling leg snap. He goes to a kneebar with grapevine. Punk grabs the head and works a fishhook until Nick breaks. Aldis stands while still holding the leg and he kicks the inner thigh several times. He rolls Punk over and jams his knee into the mat. He then works a reverse knee bar with grapevine with Punk on his stomach. He works up on the free leg and comes around with a reverse enzuigiri. Bicycle kick. Pepsi Twist for two. He goes for the Go To Sleep, but yells at Joe. Aldis drops out into an inverted DDT. Gory Bomb. Aldis goes up top and misses the elbow smash. Punk stomps the lower back and pulls him up into an abdominal stretch. Aldis hip tosses out. He then walks into a uranage backbreaker. Punk keeps him across the knee and pounds him with elbows. Standing surfboard. Aldis won’t submit, so Punk breaks it. Gut wrench suplex for two.
Whip to the corner and a big running knee. Rolling fireman’s carry slam out of the corner. Springboard twisting leg drop misses. Aldis works him over with kicks. Scoop Samoan drop off the ropes. Straightjacket neckbreaker for two. Package piledriver for two. Aldis goes up top and takes time to point and jaw at Joe. Punk gets a pop up belly to belly superplex. Punk gets Aldis up, yells, ‘this is for you, Joe,’ and rips off the Go To Sleep.
Winner: CM Punk by pinfall at 20:33
Joe drops his headset and goes over to the ring. He slides into the ring and goes nose to nose with Punk. There are no blows, just them in the middle of the ring with eyes locked and we fade.
