CCW Superstar Saturday on SCA, Episode 1
Gorilla Monsoon and the Honky Tonk Man welcome everyone to the show. They are seated behind a desk with a fake wall behind them featuring the CCW logo. There is an open spot just to the right of Monsoon where people can stand for interviews. This is on the open side of the ring with the other sides featuring bleacher seating that has cheering fans.
GM: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the first official episode of Continental Championship Wrestling’s Superstar Saturday here on Sports Channel America. If you missed our special last week, then you missed out on several revelations.
HTM: That’s right Gorilla. We found out that everything CCW has now was the work of one man and one man only, no matter what Ron Fuller says. Andy Kaufman is the new co-owner of CCW and I’m glad to have him.
GM: Especially since it seems that his money is paying the checks. We also saw the unveiling of two title tournaments, one for the CCW Southeastern Heavyweight Title and the second for the Southeastern Tag Team Titles. Not to mention comments from the competitors in a big triple threat match planned for Phoenix Rising on Aug. 8. The winner of Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage vs. Steve Austin will go on to face AJ Styles for the MUW Men’s Title in September.
HTM: And Phoenix Rising will also feature the tournament finals with this week’s show containing the first round matches for the top half of each bracket.
GM: Let’s go to the ring for our first bout in the new, exciting era of CCW. vs. with
Sting vs. “Magnificent” Don Muraco with Col. Robert Fuller
Sting controls early until Fuller grabs his ankle from the outside. Sting turns and glares at him, allowing Muraco to attack Sting from behind. Muraco controls with a series of slams, suplexes and power moves. He locks in a full nelson near a corner. Sting walks the turnbuckles and pushes off to break. He brings Muraco up and sends him crashing right back down with the Scorpion Death Drop. Fuller pops up on the apron, Sting knocks him off. Muraco doesn’t catch Sting off guard this time and walks into a second Scorpion Death Drop for the loss.
Winner: Sting via pinfallSting goes to the announce position.
Sting: I tell you, Gorilla, I’m excited to be here in CCW. I’m excited to be in this title tournament. And I’m excited to bring the CCW Southeastern Heavyweight Title tournament home to all the little Stingers out there. This tournament might be the greatest collection of talent I’ve ever seen, so when I win it, I know that I’ve earned it and so will all the little Stingers. Whoo!

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Yokozuna with Andy Kaufman
The commentators are surprised to see Yokozuna with Kaufman, although HTM says that’s a great move for both. Rich tries a stick and move strategy to start. Yoko eventually catches him with a thrust kick. He works Rich over with various strikes and a nerve hold. Rich takes an Avalanche in the corner and a Banzai Drop gets the win.
Winner: Yokozuna via pinfall
Kaufman and Yokozuna go to the announce position.
AK: Mr. Monsoon, Mr. Tonk Man, I just don’t want to run CCW from behind the scenes. I want to be involved in front of the camera, because that’s where I belong. However, I don’t want to humiliate all the other talent, by wrestling myself. I am going to become the manager of champions and there is nobody I’d rather associate myself with than Yokozuna. My Yokozuna will win this title tournament. I’m sorry to disappoint all the little Stingers out there, but Sting will not advance past the next round. And before I leave, I want to address Bobby Heenan of Championship Wrestling from Florida. He mentioned me this week. You keep my name out of your foul mouth, Mr. Heenan. You are lucky, very lucky, that the new CCW isn't running shows in Florida. But don't make a mistake, if I ever get a hankering for fresh oranges, we will come to your state, Mr. Heenan.

He tries a flying crossbody on Typhoon, who catches him. Typhoon slams Santana down, Earthquake follows with a jumping splash and makes the cover.

Shemaus vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan
The match starts with Duggan screaming “ho” in Sheamus’s face and Sheamus coming back with “fella” several times. He finally tries a punch, but Duggan blocks and nails Sheamus. Duggan beats Sheamus about the ring until he bails to the floor. Duggan chases, Sheamus gets back into the ring and catches Duggan re-entering with a high knee. Sheamus controls from there and wins with the Brogue Kick.
Winner: Sheamus
Sheamus goes to the announce position.
Sheamus: I’m tired of being a joke. I’m tired of people thinking I’m some leprechaun dishing out green clovers and purple horseshoes. I came here to CCW for a fresh start and who do I get in my first match. Some cross-eyed goon carrying a 2x4 and shouting ‘ho’ to the fans. I want serious competition and I better get it. When I win this tournament I will be the most dominant champion ever seen in wrestling…
Sheamus is cut off as Jim Duggan runs over and chases him off with the 2x4. Duggan grabs the microphone and screams ‘ho’ to the fans while giving a big thumbs up.

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert vs. “The Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol with Missy Hyatt
Missy gives Idol a kiss from the apron at the bell. Gilbert rushes and attacks him. Gilbert thrashes Idol around the ring. He eventually blocks a suplex attempt and reverses to one of his own. He hits a body slam and works Gilbert over. Mortis (Chris Kanyon) and Black Scorpion (Doug Gilbert) come out to ringside and corner Hyatt. Idol comes off the apron onto both men. Gilbert tries to come off the apron onto Idol, but he side steps it. Gilbert lands on his feet and Idol nails him with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Idol hits a piledriver and covers, but it’s broken up by Mortis and Black Scorpion. They beat Idol down.
Winner: Austin Idol via disqualification
Eddie Gilbert and his men go to the announce position.
EG: Hot Stuff Incorporated is here in CCW. We’re bigger, badder and scarier than ever. If you think Mortis is frightening. If you think the Black Scorpion is frightening. Just you wait, because I’ve got one more man to debut that the wrestling world has never seen before.
The camera cuts back to the ring as Missy Hyatt returns from the back with the Steiner Brothers. They check in on Idol in the ring. Gilbert points at the ring as the camera cuts back to them.EG: Missy, I don’t need you and I don’t want you. You were lucky I gave you the time of day to start with. If Austin Idol wants my sloppy seconds, he can have you. And if Hot Stuff Incorporated kicks his ass, don’t misinterpret it as me wanting you back, it’s just us having time to kill.
Gilbert slams the microphone down and leads his guys off.

Winner: Steiner Brothers via pinfallMissy Hyatt and Steiners go to the announce position
SS: Rick and I were preparing for our match in the back, so we weren’t watching the monitors. We’ve got Austin Idol’s back and anytime Hot Stuff Incorporated wants to get in that ring with even odds, my brother and I are ready.MH: Eddie, I want to make something perfectly clear to all the CCW fans. You didn’t dump me, I dumped you and that was the best decision I ever made. Well, maybe the second best, because now I’ve got some real men in my corner with Idol, the Steiners and Jimmy Snuka. Eddie, I want you to take a good look at me as I walk away, because you’re never going to have me ever again.
Hyatt walks off and the camera makes sure to follow for a few moments before cutting back.
GM: A lot of action and a lot left to be decided here in CCW. Tune in next week as we finish up the first round of the Southeastern Heavyweight and Tag Team title tournaments.
