Ranallo informs us that tonight’s Canadian portion of the broadcast is going to be a short one as they only have 1 match for us tonight which sees The North accepting Jim Neidhart’s challenge to take on The Hart Dynasty’s Tyson Kidd and Davey Boy Smith, Jr.! Christian promises a great night of wrestling is planned on both portions of tonight’s show, before heading to ringside for the first match of the evening.

Match #1: Tag Team Match
The North vs. The Hart Dynasty w/ Jim Neidhart
These two teams face off to start this week’s action after The North accepted Jim Neidhart’s challenge last week to prove who the better team was. A solid opening match that was given quite a lengthy match time as these two teams went at it for almost 20 minutes! The action went back and forth for most of the match, but ultimately it was The North who managed to get the win here after a failed Hart Attack attempt allowed Josh Alexander to send Davey Boy Smith, Jr. over the ropes, leaving Tyson Kidd in the ring alone to take the North Assault before being covered for the pin.
Winners: The North by pinfall @ 18:37.

We head backstage to a pre-recorded video from 1-half of the RoH Tag Team Champions, Jay Lethal. Lethal brings up Michael Elgin’s decision to trash the Tag Team Championships last week, and seemingly vacate the titles in his passionate promo about running through the RoH roster last week. Lethal says that he’s been unable to get a hold of Michael Elgin since, but knows his partner, and says that Elgin’s words and actions last week were of frustration and should not be taken seriously. Lethal says that both Jeff Jarrett and Eric Bischoff have approached him about vacating the Tag Team Championships, but Lethal says he’s not willing to do so. Jay Lethal promises he will defend the titles himself if need be, because as far as he’s concerned, Unchained Honor are still the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions with, or without Michael Elgin.

As we switch over to the US roster for the remainder of the night, Ring of Honor Jeff Jarrett is standing in the middle of the ring beside a table covered with a black curtain. Jarrett announces that the time has come to reveal the newest championship for Ring of Honor. Double J announces that at SuperCard II, there will be a 6-man Gauntlet match with the winner, being crowned the first ever Ring of Honor Pure Champion!
Jarrett pulls back the curtain to reveal the design of the RoH Pure Championship before beginning to explain the very unique set of rules that accompany this Championship:
1.) Each wrestler has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls during the match. After a wrestler exhausts his rope breaks, submission and pin attempts under the ropes by the opponent are considered legal.
2.) A wrestler is subject to a twenty count by the referee if the wrestler goes to the floor.
3.) Unlike other championships, the ROH Pure Championship can change hands on a disqualification or count out.
4.) Though this title is essentially being added to the US brand in order to fill the absence of the RoH Television Championship, it is not required to be defended each week.
Jarrett announces reveals that Drew Gulak secured the first spot in the match with his win over Brian Pillman, Jr. last week and another spot will be secured later on, but announces that there will only be 3 more spots up for grabs as the 6th and final entrant has been handpicked by RoH Owner Eric Bischoff and will not be revealed until the match is underway. Jarrett then announces that although plans may change, the current plan is for the Pure Champion to take on the Television Champion after the covid-19 travel ban is lifted in order to Unify the two Championships as the rosters return to normal. The camera pans in on the new championship one more time as we begin to fade out to our first commercial break of the evening.

We return from commercial to see Age of the Fall standing in their locker room. Rollins says he’s asked everyone to be here tonight, because they have a new problem, and that problem’s name is Keith Lee. Rollins says Jeff Jarrett overstepped his boundary by reversing Seth decision to give Jacobs a title shot, and forcing him to defend his RoH World Heavyweight Championship against Keith Lee at SuperCard II. Rollins then tells Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan that they were made fools last week by the Motor City Machine Guns who unfairly attacked them after their match, leaving Rollins all alone to be assaulted by Keith Lee who Rollins refers to as a criminal and a delinquent. Rollins then tell Lee and Rowan that he spoke to Jeff Jarrett, and they will get a chance to get even with Sabin and Shelley when they face them again at SuperCard II! Jimmy Jacobs commends Rollins on making another excellent decision, but Rollins cuts him off saying he isn’t finished. Rollins tells age of the Fall that Keith Lee needs to pay for putting his hands on him last week, which is why tonight, Age of the Fall with get their revenge when Keith Lee goes 1-on-1 with Jimmy Jacobs!
Jacobs looks like he’s seen a ghost! He asks Rollins if he is actually serious, to which Seth responds that he is. Rollins reminds Jimmy Jacobs that he is his best friend, and the co-leader of Age of the Fall before telling him that he has nothing but trust in him that he’ll be able to get the job done……with Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan standing at ringside of course! Jacobs breathes a sigh of relief after hearing that he’ll have back up with him around the ring, before promising Rollins that he’ll make Keith Lee pay tonight. Rollins places his hand on Jacobs’ shoulder and simply responds “I know you will.” Before walking out of the locker room as we head back to ringside for our next match.

Match #2: Singles Match
Austin Aries vs. Eddie Edwards
Edwards is making his RoH in ring debut almost two months after originally showing up on RoH television, as Tony Schiavone and Taz comment on the heated rivalry these two had started outside of the ring over Aries’ jealousy of Scarlett Bordeaux. This match is incredibly hard hitting as Aries and Edwards both do an incredible job of convincing the audience watching at home that they do not like each other, with multiple moments where event he referee was unable to control the action. With both superstars teasing this match would end in a disqualification, the fans at home would have been delighted to see this match did indeed have a clean and conclusive winner. The end of the match comes after Edwards has Aries down, following a Running Knee and goes up to for an Elbow Drop. Aries however, manages to roll out of the way at the last second, and pounces on Edwards instantly after he crashes to the mat, locking him in to the Last Chancery and forcing Edwards to tap out!
Winner: Austin Aries by submission @ 12:14.
Aries breaks the hold to celebrate his victory, but only momentarily as he then turns his attention back to Edwards, and begins to attack him as he was attempting to get back up to his feet! Aries grabs Edwards and sends him shoulder first in to the corner, before tossing him out of the ring. Aries then slides out of the ring, and kicks Edwards in the head before tossing him in to the steel steps. With Edwards on the ground, Aries looks at the steps, then looks back at Edwards, before grabbing him and dragging him back over to the steel steps. Aries pulls Edwards on top of the steps, and sets him up for a Brainbuster on the steps, but before he can……
BRIAN KENDRICK IS BACK!
Kendrick comes running down the ramp with a kendo stick in his hand, as Aries shoves Edwards off the steps and dives in to the ring, hoping to get the jump on Kendrick as he slides in after him. Kendrick however, stops short of the ring and turns his attention to Eddie Edwards, checking to see if he is okay and slowly helping him up to his feet. Kendrick and Edwards share a few words, before both men get in to the ring, much to the dismay of Austin Aries. Aries backs up, pleading with Kendrick and Edwards, even going so far as to blame Scarlett Bordeaux for everything that has happened so far as both Edwards and Kendrick get closer to him. With Aries now backed in to a corner and pleading for his life, Kendrick takes a step forward, clutching tightly on that Kendo Stick. He then raised the kendo and suddenly turns quickly, leveling Eddie Edwards with it instead as Aries looks on in complete shock!
Aries looks at Kendrick confused as Kendrick just stares blankly at Aries before bringing that kendo stick over the back of Edwards! Kendrick then turns back to Aries and bows before dropping the kendo stick and his feet and leaving the ringside area with Aries just left standing over Edwards’ body looking confused as we head to a commercial break.

We return from commercial break to see Bobby Lashley standing in the ring with a microphone in his hand. Lashley tells the crowd watching at home that he is outraged that he was passed over by GM Jeff Jarrett as an opponent for Seth Rollins at SuperCard II and reminds everyone that he is still owed a RoH World Title Match after destroying Rob Van Dam at Best in the World! Lashley explains that he now has to settle for winning the new Ring of Honor Pure Championship as he has been placed in a qualifying match tonight instead. Wanting to get this match over with, Lashley demands his opponent come out to the ring now so he can get his easy victory and go home.
Best Friends make their way down to the ring as the camera shows Lashley begin to laugh at the site of his opponent. As both men get in to the ring, Lashley questions if this is a bad joke being played on him before asking which one of them is to be his opponent tonight. Chuck points at Trent, but Trent points at Chuck as it’s clear neither man wants a part of Lashley tonight. Unable to hold in his laughter, Lashley says he could easily beat both of them at the same time, before stopping. Lashley says he has an idea, before telling both men that they can both be his opponents tonight. Lashley says he’s so confident he’ll tear both men apart, that if somehow he manages to lose, he’ll talk to GM Jarrett about making sure both men get a spot in the Pure Championship match, before dropping the mic and charging at Best Friends as the referee rings the bell to start the match.
Match #3: Handicap Match
Best Friends vs. Bobby Lashley
If Lashley Wins, He Secures a Spot in the Pure Championship Match
If Best Friends Win, They Both Secure Spots in the Pure Championship Match
Lashley is right when he said he’d dominate both men as he spends the entire match throwing both Chuck and Trent around like a bung of rag dolls. Neither man manages to get in any offense at all as Lashley just picks them both apart with powerful move after move, taking his time and clearly enjoying the pain he is inflicting on his opponents tonight. Becoming tired of toying with his opponents, Lashley sends Trent over the top rope before setting up in the corner for a Spear on Chuck Taylor, just then…..
WEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL!
Big Show’s music plays as Lashley looks up to the entrance ramp with a mixture of shock and fear on his face! The referee also turns his attention to the entrance ramp, which allows Big Show to come out from behind the announce booth and climb on to the apron unseen by the official. Lashley does see Big Show however and charges towards him, only to be caught with a KO Punch the instantly folds Lashley!
Knowing a man of his size can’t get in to the ring without shaking the ropes and getting the referee’s attention, Big Show hops off the apron and grabs Trent, picking him up off the floor and tossing him in to the ring and over the ropes. Trent hits the mat and rolls perfectly on top of Bobby Lashley. Hearing the thud, the referee turns around, but instead of seeing Big Show at ringside, he sees the pinfall and counts the 1….2…..3! Chuck Taylor and Trent Barretta have done it, thanks to Big Show both men are now in the Pure Championship Gauntlet match! The referee tries to raise the hands of the winners, but neither man can stand on their feet, the camera shows Big Show’s smiling face as we head backstage.
Winners: Best Friends by pinfall @ 7:47.

We head backstage to see Jimmy Jacobs talking with Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan, the camera can’t pick up what they are saying, but the commentary team let us know that match is next!

Main Event: Singles Match
Keith Lee vs. Jimmy Jacobs w/ Brodie Lee & Erick Rowan
This match was billed as the Main Event of the evening, even though the real Main Event tonight appears to be the arrival of Kurt Angle to end tonight’s show. Jacobs is slow and careful in this match as he plays the cowardly heel role to perfection going against a man 3-times his size in new number #1 contender Keith Lee. Lee is able to catch up to Jacobs pretty easily given how quick he moves for a big guy, and once he gets his hands on him, it was all over for Jacobs, who constantly tries to escape the ring but to no avail as Keith Lee is just too quick. Lee spends some time trash talking both Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan at ringside while continue to lay a comedic beat down on Age of the Fall’s self-proclaimed “Co-Leader”. The end of this match comes shortly before the 12-minute mark when Lee finally puts Jimmy Jacobs out of his misery after hitting the Spirit Bomb for the win.
Winner: Keith Lee by pinfall @ 11:53.
Wasting no time, Lee gets off of Jacobs following the victory and flies over the top rope on to Erick Rowan and Brodie Lee before they had time to react. Knowing they were going to jump him anyways, Keith Lee brings the fight to the outside as he manages to get the upper hand, catching them both off guard. The numbers game eventually does catch up to Lee as Brodie and Rowan are able to take control on the outside and begin to double team Keith Lee on the outside, before rolling him back in to the ring, where Rowan signals up to the rafters. You see a rope slowly lower down to the ring as it appears Age of the Fall is going to try and crucify Keith Lee like they did to Joey Mercury. Lee tries to fight back, but is no match for his opponents as they take him to the ground and fight with him to try and tie his feet to the rope. As Brodie and Rowan appear to have accomplished their mission of tying up Lee, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley come charging to the ring just in time to save the day! The Motor City Machine Guns rush Brodie Lee and Erick Rowan, fighting just long enough to allow Keith Lee to free himself from the ropes and get to his feet. Seeing they are now outnumbered with Jacobs still downed, Brodie and Rowan retreat up the entrance ramp as Keith Lee stands alongside Sabin and Shelley. We slowly fade out to our final commercial break of the evening.

We return from commercial to Tony Schiavone and Taz informing everyone watching at home that Kenny Omega has accepted a challenge from Michael Elgin for next week’s episode of RoH Wrestling!

The music of Kurt Angle hits as soon as we transition back to ringside, as the Olympic Gold Medalist makes his way down to the ring.
Angle says he’ll address Kennedy in a moment, before saying he first wanted to thank everyone watching at home for making this all possible for him. Angle says that when he took on Seth Rollins, the arena may have been empty just like it is now, but he felt the presence of everyone who has ever cheer for him or rooted against him that night. He says that he won’t make excuses, Angle says that he isn’t going to say he had the match won, or that he would be standing here as the new RoH World Heavyweight Champion if it wasn’t for the events that took place, but what he will say is that Ken Kennedy robbed himself and everyone else the opportunity to see a classic match from start to finish. Angle says Ken Kennedy’s arrogant, egotistical personally cost him the ability to retire on his own terms, to end a match either flat on his back, or with his hands raised in clean fashion. Angle says he was shocked and hurt by the actions of Ken Kennedy, calling him a man that he trusted, a man he considered a friend. He then says he was more hurt by the words spoken by Kennedy last week to open up RoH Wrestling. Angle tells Kennedy he heard his words loud and clear, but the answer he has for him tonight is “No.” Angle says he refuses to give Kennedy what he wants, which is the spotlight, a chance to be relevant. He declares that he is sticking to his word, which is that he is going to retire and thanks the fans watching at home once more, before laying down the microphone in the middle of the ring, and turning to exit the ring for the last time.
Before Angle can exit the ring, Ken Kennedy appears on the jumbotron, sitting in a dark area. Kennedy says he knew that Kurt Angle was going to turn him down, not because he’s ready to retire, but because he’s a coward. Kennedy say Angle’s too afraid to face him and is using his retirement as a way to get out of being embarrassed in an RoH ring once again. The camera pans out slowly to show Kennedy is sitting in a parked car as he begins to laugh. Kennedy says he always gets what he wants, and tell Angle that if he’s not willing to wrestle him, he’s going to have to get Angle on board the hard way.
The camera pans over to see Ken Kennedy is parked in front of a large house, and there is a young woman standing outside at the side of the house minding her own business. Tony Schiavone is quick to point out that the home belongs to RoH General Manager Jeff Jarrett and the young woman is Kurt Angle’s 17-year old daughter Kyra Angle who is also the step-daughter of Jeff Jarrett. Angle is enraged! He screams in to the microphone not to go near his daughter, but Kennedy simply tell him to give him the match he wants, or else he’ll take Angles’ daughter as collateral. Angle is now red in the face with both fear and anger, he tells Kennedy if he wants him at SuperCard II he can have it, before telling Kennedy that it’s not going to be a match, it’s going to be a god damn fight! Kennedy laughs, telling Angle that is exactly what he wanted to hear, before telling Angle he’s got to go get acquainted with Angles’ daughter and ex-wife Karen. The screen fades to black as Angle is beside himself in the ring. Out from the back comes RoH General Manager Jeff Jarrett who looks like he’s seen a ghost. Angle and Jarrett try to console each other while each pulling out their cellphones to call their family as Ring of Honor Wrestling goes off the air in stunned silence.
***END OF THE SHOW***
