Dark Match:
Good Brothers def. E.N.D. via Magic Killer at 8:05 to advance to the semi-finals in the tag team championship tournament.
After an impressive display of pyrotechnics, the cameras begin panning around the arena in Kansas City as the raucous AEW fans hold up various signs such as “PLEASE DON’T QUIT, KOTA” and “ARN IS GOD.”
Our trusty commentators, Don Callis and Kevin Kelly, begin to run down the card for tonight’s festivities. Kelly mentions the strange ending to Dynamite last week when Arn Anderson promised to present a world title contender to Mark Henry. The commentators continue to speculate on who that may be. They also hype up the big “I QUIT” main event as Kota Ibushi will take on Kenny Omega to finally settle this blood feud. They run down the rest of the card, and we head to the ring.
Match 1
vs.
Tomasso Ciampa def. Tim Storm at 6:05 via Project Ciampa. Storm was able to get in some offense including a huge military press slam and even a dropkick, but Ciampa was too aggressive for Storm to handle in this opening bout.
“It's time to make AEW SLEAZY AGAIN! But hey, I gotta ask....what’s with all the yelling around here lately? I mean, I get it...everyone wants to impress Mark Henry to get a world title shot. But come on, guys! You need to learn how to relax and have fun, get down and dirty! That’s been the secret to my success, and that’s why I have NO DOUBT that Mark Henry is going to choose ME, Joey Ryan, to face Daniel Bryan for the AEW World Championship. I can see it now on the marquee… ‘RYAN VERSUS BRYAN!’ Oh, it’s gonna be sooooo good…”
And with that, Ryan pops his Blowpop back into the corner of his mouth and smiles.

“Another week, another AEW Dynamite that I sit on my ass demanding an opportunity - just ONE opportunity - to prove to everyone that I AM the best wrestler in the entire f*cking planet, and I am getting pissed! In fact, I’m ALREADY pissed! I AM BEYOND PISSED! Tony Khan, f*ck you and your crooked agenda! You refuse to put me in that ring, and why? Because these idiotic c*nts in the crowd don’t---”
Presumably due to White’s excessively foul language, the screen goes black for a moment, before we go to our next match of the evening.
Match 2
vs.
“The National Treasure” Nick Aldis def. Alberto Del Rio via the King’s Cloverleaf submission at 8:31. This match saw a lot of British strong style exhibited by Aldis, which Del Rio was unable to overcome. Another impressive win for Aldis.
“My name is Aleister Black, and I am the Messenger for Mr. Killer Kross. Allow me a moment to remind you who truly runs All Elite Wrestling. In the midst of all the talk of who is next to challenge Daniel Bryan, rest assured that, ultimately, it doesn’t matter. Killer Kross will be returning to AEW soon enough. It may take a few weeks, a few months..maybe over a year, but when he comes back - and he will - he’s coming to reclaim his glory….the AEW World Championship. Verily verily, I say unto thee...do not fret, the Tollman cometh!”

Match 3
vs.
In a fun tag team match that got the crowd fired up, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy defeated the Street Profits following a Chokeslam/Moonsault combination at 10:57. The crowd was hot for both teams, with a bit of an edge to the Jurassic Express. After the match, both teams shook hands as a sign of respect for the other.
“I….TOLD...ALL OF YOU! Hahahaha, that’s right, baby. ‘The Pope’ Elijah Burke is simply...amazing! I beat Brian Cage and kept my title, and sent his monkey ass packin’! Make no mistake about it, I’m gonna hold on to this belt for years to come! I will go down as the greatest National Champion….I will go down as THEE GREATEST WRESTLER, OF ALL TIME! So now, I gotta ask...who’s next? It don’t matter though, cause I’ll beat them, too!”
Match 4
vs.
In a decisive fashion, AEW Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard defeated Io Shirai via Hammerlock DDT at 7:09. Io attempted to mount several comebacks but was ultimately unsuccessful against Blanchard. After the match, Blanchard got on the stick and started running down Dakota Kai, telling her that at the next pay-per-view, she’s going end up permanently sidelined.
Aron Stevens is backstage! He says that he hasn’t really wrestled much in AEW, but he should be given a shot against Daniel Bryan because his beard his better than his. He says that Bryan’s a nice guy, but he’s not as tall as him. Therefore, Stevens should be given the AEW World Title shot. Stevens smiles and thanks Mark Henry in advance for his consideration.
Match 5
“I Quit” Match
vs.
After weeks of build, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi both decided that AEW wasn't big enough for both of them. As a result, this match was agreed upon by both parties despite AEW refusing to accept liability for what may occur. In an “I Quit” match for the ages, Kota Ibushi defeated Kenny Omega at 29:36. In what has been described as a pay-per-view level main event, both men attempted to destroy each other as the clash of the Golden Lovers could only be described as a vile bloodbath. We saw multiple weapons used in this match including steel chairs, baseball bats, a ladder, two tables, and a cheese grater that was used to slice open the forehead of Kota Ibushi. As small puddles of blood formed on the ring mat and the outside of the ring, it became evident that one man would soon have to quit All Elite Wrestling. The finish of the match came when Ibushi powerbombed Omega neck first into the steel barricade outside the ring. From that point, Ibushi locked in a reverse Dragon Sleeper, to which Kenny Omega barely muttered the words that would force him leave All Elite Wrestling… “I Quit.”

“So it’s come to my attention that the one and only Arn Anderson wanted a few minutes of my time here to discuss a POSSIBLE...and I reiterate...POSSIBLE...challenger for Daniel Bryan’s AEW World Championship. Normally, I would ignore such requests. However, I have the utmost respect for Arn Anderson and it would be a damn shame if I disrespected him by not giving him this chance. So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen...Arn...ANDERSON!”
Anderson makes his way to the ring and grabs a mic. He and Henry shake hands before Arn starts talking.
“Mark, I won’t let you down. Listen, I understand that AEW is under a bit of a funk right now since your main event scene imploded. I’ve watched this man for years. I’ve met with this man, I’ve talked to this man on the phone, and this man is THEE top prospect in AEW. You got issues with your title scene. I got an answer for your problems. Daniel Bryan is hungry to defend that title. And this man...is hungry to win it.”

IT’S DREW MCINTYRE! After several weeks away, McIntyre is back in AEW and seems to have a renewed passion and intensity in his eyes. The fans are cheering as McIntyre makes his way down to the ring. Henry raises an eyebrow as Arn claps for McIntyre.
“THIS MAN IS HUNGRY, MARK! This man has worked his ass of for nineteen years in this business! This man...THIS man is the future of the professional wrestling industry. I am here today to officially endorse Drew McIntyre as the best candidate for a shot at the AEW World Title.”
HERE COMES THE AEW WORLD CHAMP! Daniel Bryan heads to the ring as Arn, Drew, and Mark look on. He slides in the ring and stands across from McIntyre, who clearly towers over him. Daniel Bryan smiles and nods, knowing that McIntyre has one of the best win/loss records in the company. Having a burning desire for only the best of the best, Bryan knows McIntyre will take him to the limit.
McIntyre and Bryan shake hands, sealing the deal! The fans go wild as Arn Anderson claps enthusiastically standing off to the side. The fans continue cheering as McIntyre and Bryan start to exchange (un) pleasantries about their upcoming match. Henry speaks up and says that if the champ wants it, so does he. He says Daniel Bryan will defend the AEW World Championship against Drew McIntyre...FEBRUARY 29th AT AEW REVOLUTION! The fans pop for this announcement as AEW Dynamite comes to a close, with McIntyre staring down Bryan’s AEW World Championship.
