Match #1: Tag Team Match
World’s Greatest Tag Team vs. The Kingdom (TK O’Ryan Vinny Marseglia) w/Matt Taven
We start off tonight’s episode of RoH TV by getting right to the action as Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin look to get their revenge on The Kingdom for the brutal attack they suffered a few weeks ago. This match is heated right out of the gate as both Haas and Benjamin charge O’Ryan and Marseglia and begin to brawl with their opponents. The referee tries to gain control of this match, but it takes him quite some time to restore order as WGTT and The Kingdom continue beat the hell out of each other. Haas and Benjamin continue to prove in this match why they are called the World’s Greatest Tag Team as they have no problems hanging in with their younger opponents, but it’s the Kingdom who wind up victorious in this one after interference from Matt Taven distracts the referee long enough for TK O’Ryan to his Shelton Benjamin with his baseball bat, taking him out of the match and allowing Marseglia to his Charlie Haas with the Redrum for the pinfall.
Winners: The Kingdom by pinfall @18:21.
{We head backstage to Seth Rollins who is in his locker room getting ready for his match tonight}
Suddenly the door bursts open and in rushes Ken Kennedy who grabs Rollins by the shirt and tries to push him against the locker room stall, but Rollins shoves Kennedy off him. The two begin to argue with each other as Kennedy voices his very clear displeasure with Rollins for leaving him high and dry last week in their match against Sanity. Kennedy demands to know what happened, but Rollins just simply tells him that he wouldn’t understand. Angered, Kennedy tell Rollins he regrets coming out to the ring to help him last week and once again accuses him of being the one behind there masked men who continue to aid him each and every week. Rollins turns red in the face and tell Kennedy for the last time that he’s not the one behind this before telling him to get out of his locker room. Kennedy goes to leave, but not before warning Rollins that he’s going to make sure the masked men don’t get involved in his match tonight with Keith Lee, before questioning if Seth Rollins can actually win a tournament match on his own before storming off.
{We head back to ringside where RoH Owner Eric Bischoff is standing in the middle of the ring}
Bischoff tells the RoH audience that he is going to try to make this as quick as possible before quacking hyping the two Quarter Finals matches still to come tonight between Bobby Lashley and Sheamus and Seth Rollins vs. Keith Lee. Bischoff then announces that Saturday, January 24th, Ring of Honor will be making it’s PPV debut when it presents “Best in the World!” Bischoff confirms the main event of Best in the World will be the tournament finals for RoH World Heavyweight Championship, before adding that as mentioned last week, the losers of the two semi-final matches next week will also go 1-on-1 at the PPV with the winner being awarded a future RoH World Championship match. Bischoff then proceeds to announce the following matches he’s made official for the PPV, followed by their match graphics.
Bischoff waits for a moment to allow the excitement of the announced PPV matches die down before he begins to speak again. He addresses the RoH Tag Team Championships and the tournament which is set to begin immediately following Best in the World. Bischoff acknowledges how long it’s taken to crown a RoH World Heavyweight Champion, and announces he’s decided to change the format for next month’s tag team tournament to ensure the champions are crowned much quicker this time around. Bischoff announces that there will be 3 Triple Threat Tag Team matches taking place, with the first match happening at Best in the World as the Motor City Machine Guns take on Sanity and the All Night Express.
Bischoff then announces the following 2 triple threat matches will take place on the first two episodes following Best in the World, with the winners of those triple threat matches, taking each other on in one final triple threat tag team match the following week for the Tag Team Championships. With that said, Bischoff announces the three triple threat matches for the tournament.
Match #1: Motor City Machine Guns vs. Sanity vs. All Night Express – Best in the World
Match #2: War Machine vs Mustache Mountain vs. World’s Greatest Tag Team – RoH TV
Match #3: Forever Hooligans vs The Kingdom vs. TBA – RoH TV
Match #4: (RoH Tag Team Championship) Match #1 Winner vs. Match #2 Winner vs. Match #3 Winner – RoH TV
Bischoff announces that opening up the Best in the World PPV will be a tag team match that will see the Best Friends taking on a tag team that Eric Bischoff just signed this week, with the winner of that match getting the open spot in the third and final Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
Bischoff thanks everyone in and the audience and at home for their continued support and tell them all that he’s see them at Best in the World as we slowly fade out to our first commercial break of the evening.

Match #2: Singles Match
Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Quarter Finals
It is announced that the winner of this match will be the one who takes on Kurt Angle in the semi-finals as Angle was victorious last week in his match vs. Apollo Crews. Both work a very hardnosed style with stiff shots throughout this match. Sheamus does a great job in this match, working over Lashley and looking to be Bobby Lashley’s toughest opponent to date as he’s not had much trouble in the ring since coming to Ring of Honor except for the Christmas Street fight with Seth Rollins. The finish comes after Sheamus misses a Brogue Kick, and Lashley plants Sheamus with a Spear, covering him for the victory and advancing to the Semi-Finals to face Kurt Angle.
Winner: Bobby Lashley by pinfall @ 14:05.
{We head backstage to see Ken Kennedy walking the hallways with a baseball bat slung over his shoulder.}
Kennedy is clearly looking for the two masked men as he slowly paces the backstage area. As Kennedy passes by the locker room, he see Keith Lee standing backstage stretching for his match. Lee sees Anderson and pauses his stretches to talk to him. Lee thanks Kennedy for try to even the playing field for him, but tells Kennedy he’s going to take care of Seth Rollins himself tonight, before saying if the masked men decide to appear as well, he’ll take them out too. Ken Kennedy smirks before informing Lee that he’s not doing this for Keith Lee, he’s doing this for himself before walking off to continue the hunt.
{Back to ringside where out RoH Television Champion is standing with a microphone. He is joined in the ring by Drew Gulak.}
Bennett says that when he won the Television Championship he vowed to not only become the greatest champion Ring of Honor has ever seen, but to live up to the title of “Fighting Champion” as he happily defends his Championship week after week, but so far aside from two matches against different opponents, Bennett says he’s found himself having the same matches with Chris Sabin each and every week while talent wrestlers such as Drew Gulak are left waiting in a line that never seems to move forward. Bennett declares it’s time for a change in Ring of Honor! Chris Sabin is done getting shots at the Television Championship! Bennett states he’s brough Drew Gulak out here so Gulak can finally get the title shot he has been waiting for. Bennett hands the microphone over to Gulak who begins to state his intention to challenge for the Television Championship tonight, but before he can finish, he’s cut off by the music of the Motor City Machine Guns.
Before Gulak can finish his sentence, Chris Sabin holds up the microphone and announces he’s challenging Mike Bennet for the RoH Television Championship tonight! Gulak is livid, but Bennett keeps his cool. He tells Sabin that he’s had his shots and he’s done. Bennett refuses to wrestle Chris Sabin again, and announces he’s going to defend against Drew Gulak tonight instead. Sabin laughs, before informing Mike Bennett that he’s already issued the challenge, if Bennet refuses to fight him that would be grounds to forfeit the championship over to Sabin. This new causes Bennett to go red in the face, before Gulak quickly clams him down by whispering something in his ear. Bennett concedes and accepts Chris Sabin’s challenge on two conditions. First off, is Sabin doesn’t win, he’s never allowed to challenge for the Television Championship again as long as Mike Bennett is the champion, Sabin accepts. Second, Sabin needs to win a match against an opponent of Mike Bennett’s choosing first, and then if he wins, they can have their match later in the night. Sabin thinks it over for a moment as he and Alex Shelley get in to the ring. Sabin accuses Bennett of being scared and trying to wear down Sabin before their match, but ultimately accepts the conditions as he states he is confident he’s going to beat him tonight and wishes Drew Gulak best of luck in trying to stop him. Bennett smiles, before telling Sabin his opponent is not going to be Drew Gulak, it’s going to be Alex Shelley!
Match #3: Singles Match
Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley
The bell rings and Shelley exchanges words with his best friend, before laying down to allow Sabin to pin him, much to the chagrin of Mike Bennett and Drew Gulak watching at ringside. Sabin refuses to cover Shelley though, and demands he get up and they have a real match. What a match it was as these two work just as well against each other as they do a team. Shelley and Sabin go back and forth with the crowd on their feet the entire time! Shelley has a near fall, but Sabin just manages to get a shoulder up before the 3. The finish comes after Sabin reverses a powerbomb attempt in to a roll up and scores the 3 count!
Winner: Chris Sabin by pinfall @ 7:27.
Sabin and Shelley embrace in the ring after a hard fought battle between the two of them. Just then, Drew Gulak quickly slides in to the ring looking to fight both Shelley and Sabin, but it’s just a distraction as Mike Bennett slides back in the ring behind them and hit Sabin in the back of the head with the Television Championship! Shelley turns to Bennett, but is met with a kick to the groin by Bennett, as Gulak pulls Shelley out of the ring. Bennett motions to the referee to ring the bell as the crowd boo’s heavily.
Match #4: Single’s Match – 10-Minute Time Limit

Main Event: Singles Match
Keith Lee vs. Seth Rollins
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Tournament: Quarter Finals
The final quarter final match of the tournament pits RoH’s #1 Draft Pick against Limitless Keith Lee who has been nothing short of spectacular since coming to RoH as the 2nd pick in the Thanksgiving Supplementary Draft. Lee’s powerful stature and quick feet has him looking like an early favourite in this match as Rollins is able to match his speed, but struggles against Lee’s power in the early portion of this match. The crowd is solidly behind Keith Lee, with Rollins getting more of the heel reaction in this match. Near the midway point of the match, Keith Lee misses a running body block and eats an Avada Kedavra from Seth Rollins.
Rollins then goes for The Stomp, but Lee is quick to his feet and catches the oncoming Rollins, planting him with the Spirit Bomb!
Lee goes for the cover, but Rollins manages to get a shoulder up just before the 3 count! Just then, the two masked men come jumping over the guard rail and slide in to the ring, getting in between Keith Lee and Seth Rollins. Lee laughs, more than happy to take both men on himself, but that doesn’t need to happen as Ken Kennedy comes charging down the ramp with the baseball bat in his hands and chases the masked men up the ramp towards the back. This has given Rollins just enough time to recover enough that when Lee tries to pull him to his feet, Rollins sweeps the leg of Lee and hits him with another Avada Kedavra before putting him away with The Stomp for the 3 count!
Winner: Seth Rollins by pinfall @ 28:14.
{Rollins celebrates his victory in the ring while the update tournament bracket appears up on the jumbo tron, showing the two Semi-Final matches that are scheduled to take place next week as march on to the conclusion of the tournament.}
The camera then pans backstage to Ken Kennedy who is hot on the tail of the two masked men, chasing them down the hallway and in to the parking lot of the arena. As the two men reach a dead end in their path, Kennedy closes in on them, ready to brawl. Seeing they have no escape, the masked men square up as well as Kennedy begins to tap the tip of the bat off the palm of his hand, anxious to start swinging. Just then, a third masked man appears out of nowhere, jumping Kennedy from behind! Kennedy tries to fight back, but at this point the other two have joined in now as well, as they three men now lay a beating on Ken Kennedy!
The camera pans back over to the ring quickly to show Rollins watching the assault from the jumbotron, fighting with himself on if he should try to save Kennedy or not as the three masked men continue to beat Kennedy bloody. The tallest of the three men pick up the bloody Ken Kennedy and sends him face first in to the garage door, before turning to walk away. The camera notices that one of the three masked men has had his mask ripped by Kennedy during the assault. With the three men still standing over Kennedy’s body, the one with the ripped mask looks dead in to the camera and rips off what his left of his mask, revealing his identity to be Joey Mercury!
The camera shows Rollins looking on in shock, as Mercury leans closer in to the camera and places his finger over his mouth “shhhhhhh” as we fade out to the end of the broadcast.
