AEW Dynamite
December 18, 2019
Live from Huntsville, AL
AEW Dynamite opens with an impressive pyro display across the stage and over the ring. We pan a live shot over the capacity crowd in Huntsville holding up signs such as “MISSING: PCO AND BRODY KING” and “JAY WHITE BELIEVES IN ALIENS.” We then go to our trusty commentators of the evening, lead analyst Kevin Kelly and the always colorful Don Callis.
Kevin Kelly: Welcome everyone to AEW Dynamite! I’m Kevin Kelly, he’s Don Callis! And Don, what a night we have in store!
Don Callis: Finally, after weeks of speculation, Mark Henry says that answers regarding the disappearance of PCO and Brody King as well as the rest of the content in that mysterious video package featuring Aleister Black MUST be explained tonight!
Kevin Kelly: And if we don’t get those answers, King and PCO are stripped of the tag team titles and Killer Kross will be banned from challenging for the AEW World Title for 365 days!
Don Callis: I’m scared to death, Kevin! Never in my entire life have I witnessed such a disturbing and obscene chain of events!
Kevin Kelly: Also last week, we saw Kenny Omega viciously attack Kota Ibushi after his successful bout against Lance Archer. Kenny’s in the ring, let’s hear from him now!
“Waaaaaah, waaaaah, waaaaah! All of you fans are soooo upset over your precious Golden Boy Kota Ibushi getting his just due last week! I’ve received hate mail, grotesque tweets, and even phone calls from people saying Kenny, have you lost your mind? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”
The crowd starts chanting “asshole” at Kenny. He rolls his eyes and continues speaking.
“Let’s set the record straight! Kota Ibushi was supposed to be my best friend and he left ME high and dry back in Japan! Hey, whatever, that’s FINE. But then he has the audacity to show up in All Elite Wrestling, without even speaking a word to me, acting like nothing ever happened? Kota’s been signed for weeks and you know what he’s said to me? Absolutely nothing! No explanation. No apology. But I’M the bad guy?!”
The fans boo and Kenny just shakes his head, disgusted.
“I can’t believe that---”
HUGE LARIAT FROM KOTA IBUSHI OUT OF NOWHERE!
Kevin Kelly: WHERE DID HE COME FROM?!
The fans start chanting “KOTA! KOTA! KOTA!” Ibushi looks down at Kenny and shakes his head almost with a bittersweet look on his face before rolling out of the ring. We go to commercial break as Kenny tries to recover in the ring.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Match 1
Dakota Kai v. Maria Kanellis
Kai and Kanellis lock up in the early going but unfortunately for Maria she is never able to get in any offense as Kai shows off her aggression. Multiple kicks to the head of Maria plus a diving double foot stomp puts Maria away at 3:21.
Winner: Dakota Kai by pinfall.
After the match, Dakota celebrates and motions around her waist that she will be the next women’s champion. She walks around the ring signing autographs and taking selfies as we cut to our next segment.
“I know Dynamite’s GM Mark Henry has a lot on his plate with everything going on around here. But to put me in a match with Dynamite Kid last week was a slap in the face. I am leaps and bounds ahead of Dynamite Kid, as I am most of this roster. It’s boring. I’m bored. How about a real challenge? Please, I’m begging you, give me a challenge.”

Match 2
Joey Ryan v. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Out first is the sleazeball Joey Ryan smirking and mocking the crowd on his way to the ring. Hiroshi Tanahashi’s music hits and the place erupts! Tanahashi slaps hands on the way to the ring. As the bell sounds, Joey yells “hold on!” He grabs a microphone, as Hiroshi seems perplexed by the peculiar situation.
“HOLD ON! HOLD ON! HOLD...ON! Wait, wait, wait! Wait!”
Tanahashi throws his hands up, confused by Ryan’s words.
“WAIT! Stomp on the brakes, just WAIT!”
The fans boo, starting to suspect that Ryan may not actually have anything to say, but just wants to delay the beginning of the match.
“HOLD UP! I have something very important to say! Something...big! Something...enormous! Something...gargantuan!”
Ryan starts to sweat but nervously smirks as he begins to think of the next words he’s going to utter.
“Guys, I’m telling you, it’s big! REALLY big. No, YOU SHUT UP!”
Ryan yells to a fan at ringside as the arena collectively begins to boo, growing tiresome of Ryan’s pathetic attempt at stalling.
Hiroshi smirks from across the ring until he walks up to Joey Ryan and snatches the mic from him! The fans cheer as we’re about to hear Hiroshi speak for the first time in AEW.
“It is big? We all know that is big. We know...you are...big dick!”
Hiroshi quickly tosses the mic to the side and begins to lay into Joey Ryan as the fans laugh and cheer! Joey Ryan starts screaming mercy. Tanahashi quickly pulls Ryan into the center of the ring before nailing a massive BRAINBUSTER! Tanahashi rises to his feet, scales the ropes…
HIGH FLY FLOW! Tanahashi pins..1…..2…..3! This one is over at 5:19!
Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi by pinfall
Aron Stevens pops up on the screen and it seems that he has recorded a special message for the AEW fans.
“Hello, all my loafers and layabouts. It is I, Aron Stevens, gracing you with my existence yet again. I cannot convey just how excited I am about now being contractually obligated to All Elite Wrestling. Since stepping away from the spotlight, I’ve received so many poorly written letters from my admirers wondering when I would make my grand return. Fret no more! Aron Stevens, the Idol himself, will be there soon! YOU’RE...WELCOME!”

Match 3
America’s Most Wanted v. oVe (Jake & Dave Crist)
This match starts off with Harris and Dave Crist in the ring. Crist is able to get the early match advantage using several unique moves to capitalize on miscalculations from Harris. Crist continues to beat down Harris until Harris is able to make the hot tag to James Storm!
Storm comes in hot, taking out Dave Crist and even Jake Crist who was trash talking him on the ring apron. After several minutes, Dave is able to tag out to bring in his brother Jake, who doesn’t seem to have any more luck than Dave did in overcoming Storm. The finish of the match came when Storm hit a massive backbreaker on Crist, kept him over his leg, while Chris Harris nailed a beautiful top rope leg drop allowing Storm to make the cover and win the match at 8:41.
Winners: America’s Most Wanted by pinfall
We get a video package from the current AEW Women’s Champion, Tessa Blanchard.
“Dakota Kai, you’ve managed to captivate the hearts and minds of AEW fans all over the world in a matter of weeks. Meanwhile, I’ve been defending this title since August and nobody seems to care. Why is that? Because I’m a bitch? Well, maybe I am. But soon enough, Dakota Kai, you’ll get to find out for yourself why it is that people seem to think that.”
Tessa winks to the camera, as we head to commercial break.

Match 4
Tommaso Ciampa v. “Hangman” Adam Page
Both men stand across from each other in the ring. Hangman Page feels he has something to prove tonight against Ciampa, after failing to capture the National Title from The Pope at Full Gear. As the bell sounds, Ciampa sizes up Page. Ciampa feigns a yawn, not impressed with his opponent for tonight.
Ciampa begins to exit the ring. For a moment, he seems to reconsider his decision, before finally dropping to the floor and heading up the ramp. Page seems frustrated as Ciampa repeats his behavior from last week. The referee calls for the bell as the fans boo.
Winner: “Hangman” Adam Page by count out
We cut to a promo from “The National Treasure” Nick Aldis.
“There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding the AEW World Title. Let it be known that I, the National Treasure, have my sights set on the AEW World Championship. It may not be next week, or even next month, but consider this my official declaration of intent. Soon, I will be challenging for the AEW World Championship as I continue moving up the ranks here in All Elite Wrestling. Once I capture the AEW World Championship, you will finally have a champion...that you can be proud of.”

Match 5
Chris Benoit v. “The Machine” Brian Cage
Both men shake hands at the sound of the bell, indicating a show of respect from both. The fans applaud this event before both men begin to circle the ring. Brian Cage calls for a test of strength. Benoit looks up at his hand for a moment before locking hands with Cage. They lock both hands. Quickly, Benoit kicks Cage in the gut and begins to work him over. Cage ends up in the corner and Benoit begins chopping away at the 54 inch chest of the Machine. These chops seem to have less of an effect as they normally would, as Cage is able to grab Benoit and pull him into the corner. Cage begins unloading with chops of his own before Benoit stumbles out of the corner. Cage hits a big powerslam! 1….2….not enough. Benoit kicks out. For the next several minutes, Cage continues to wear down the Crippler. After these several minutes of domination, Benoit catches an opening…
And manages to hit THREE huge German suplexes to Brian Cage! This seems to have done a ton of damage to Cage, as both men are lying motionless on the mat. The referee begins utilizing his ten count, giving both competitors ten seconds to make it to their feet. At around the eight second mark, both men are back up. Cage swings with a wild lariat, but Benoit ducks…
DRAGON SUPLEX FROM BENOIT!!! Benoit stands up fired up!
He signals for the end! Benoit makes his way over to the top rope…
DIVING HEADBUTT! Benoit pins Cage...1….2…...3! Benoit has done it!
Winner: Chris Benoit by pinfall
Suddenly, ELIJAH BURKE hits the ring and cracks a steel chair over the head of Chris Benoit! The fans being booing!
Burke’s look of intensity turns into his signature cool, calm and collected look as he yells “challenge accepted, Benoit!” It seems that we have a National Championship match brewing for the future as we head to commercial.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
We come back from commercial break to find the AEW Dynamite General Manager Mark Henry in the ring. His music fades out, and he begins to speak.
“There are many questions right now surrounding this situation with Killer Kross, PCO, Brody King, Aleister Black AND Father James Mitchell. I’ve got an interest in this because it appears that my talent might be in danger, my tag team champions. There’s another man who has interest in this situation, he is the AEW World Champion, DANIEL BRYAN!”
Daniel Bryan’s music hits at the fans begin to go wild. The AEW Champion makes his way to the ring. He graciously nods towards Mark Henry as he gets a microphone.
“Mark, thank you for your dedication to this situation. I said it last week and I’ll say it again, Killer Kross decided to cross not only me, but my wife and my daughter. This has become personal. This is beyond the world of wrestling. This man has crossed lines that no man should cross. However, until this situation is resolved...whatever this situation is....business cannot resume as normal. So I’m out here to get these answers along with Mark, and then I’m going to make sure I get my hands on Kross one way or the other.”
Mark Henry nods and applauds Bryan. As Henry is about to speak again…
The lights in the arena dim. Henry, Bryan, and the audience turn their attention to the big screen.
Aleister Black appears on the big screen as the fans begin to reign boos down all across the arena.
“Hello, gentlemen. I understand that many, many people are concerned regarding the whereabouts of PCO and Brody King, as well as James Mitchell. Rest assured, we will get to that in a few moments. First, I’d like to share my side of things. I must wonder, what’s all the commotion about? Why is everyone so afraid? He does not seek to bring division, but peace. He seeks unity. Unfortunately, you are all unable to see things his way, which is where things turn bitter. Killer Kross - The Tollman - is away on business but he has sent me to deliver this message. He has declared that PCO and Brody King were unfaithful to him during his time of suspension. He claims that they went into business for themselves, and as a result, have paid the ultimate price - damnation. James Mitchell was far from innocent in this situation, pushing King and PCO to work for themselves as opposed to on behalf of the Tollman.
Now, you want to know about me, right? Well, the old life has passed away. Behold! All things have become new. I am the hand-selected Messenger for the Tollman while he works diligently to bring unity to those around him---”
“Cut the crap, Aleister! You don't even work here! How about instead of speaking in riddles, you tell us what we need to know so I can get my hands on Kross!”
“Don’t get pushy, Daniel. I’ve given you the answers you need. The Tollman is away on business and will return when he is able to. PCO and King have suffered their fate of final damnation and will not be returning to All Elite Wrestling. James Mitchell has retired as a result of this incident; he didn’t place Him first in his life. Now that you have your answers...I must bid you farewell.”
And with that, the static hits the big screen again as the lights in the arena turn back to normal. The fans boo as Bryan and Henry look puzzled and concerned, seemingly having more questions than answers. Henry and Bryan shake their heads as AEW Dynamite goes off the air. But first, a brief teaser flashes on the screen before we fade to black:
