"Tonight we find the number one contender for the ECW World Tag Team Championships!"
Tony Schiavone along with Joel Gertner introduce us once against to the most action-packed weekly show on TV right now. Tonight will be nothing but matches to see who will make the card for Wrestlepalooza. In the main event will be a tag team hardcore match between two great tag teams making their way to ECW, The Public Enemy and The Grizzled Young Veterans. Before they can continue any further, we're cut to some backstage footage of Contra Unit. Contra Unit take turns talking, about how Joey Janela will go to Wrestlepalooza and scared and wounded man, because there's no way he can stop Jacob Fatu. Contra Unit talk about what people have been saying to them, and they've gone to to the underground, down in India, where they found a dangerous pit fighter known as Ikuro Kwon who joins the reins of Contra Unit. Simon Gotch takes the mic saying that he's issuing a challenge to The Rascalz who shouldve never stuck their nose in Contra Unit business.
Stevie Richards vs. Mark Andrews
To start off tonight's show is the debut of Stevie Richards, who comes down with an awfully negative crowd reaction and the fans are booing him out the whole match. While he's on the offense and takes Andrews out with a back suplex into the corner, he rolls out the ring and grabs a microphone. Stevie berates the crowd and calls them all morons at the fact they've never seen a true wrestler wrestle. After Stevie drops the microphone and enters the ring, he's caught with a stiff kick to the head from Andrews who then exits the ring and ascends to the top for a Shooting Star Press! Andrews gets the win to a huge pop from the crowd.
After the match is over, Stevie Richards rolls around and has a tantrum in the ring. Richards yells to the referee then rolls out to grab the microphone he dropped outside the ring. Richards yells at all the fans on the mic, calling them idiots, morons, and what ever else insult he can think of. He knew that being in ECW would drop his intelligence to work under a level of stupidity like each and every one of these people. Richards calls out Tommy Dreamer and knows that he also just made his arrival to ECW and makes an open challenge to Tommy Dreamer, right here, right now! Tommy Dreamer comes down looking confused but holds a mic. Dreamer asks Richard if he's sure that his intelligence was already dropped down because he's stupid or did you lose something when you got kicked from Andrews. Nonetheless, Dreamer accepts the challenge and comes down to the ring.
Tommy Dreamer vs. Stevie Richards
As soon as Dreamer gets in, Richards clocks Dreamer with the mic and goes to beating him up. Richards uses the early advantage he gained by stomping Dreamer out and choking him out or punching him against the ropes up until the four count. Richards yells at the referee, saying he has until five then goes back to the attack. Richards starts to expose the turnbuckle pad which gains the referee's attention, and when the referee is turned to fix it Richards nails Dreamer with a low kick where the sun doesn't shine.
Richards waits for Dreamer, going for the Stevie Kick but Dreamer catches his leg! Dreamer spins Richards out to nail him with a brutal DDT! Dreamer nods, looking to go for the cover until a man in a leather jacket pulls him out the ring and hits him with a DDT straight onto the concrete! The man gets up and it's RAVEN! Raven enters the ring and Stevie Richards gives him a big hug to the boos of the audience and nods, giving off a smirk while the fans are chanting insults at the duo. Richards hands Raven the microphone he had and Raven looks out the ring. Raven tells Dreamer that he's a dead man and if he wants to get "revenge" like the moron he is, he'll be in the ring waiting for him at Wrestlepalooza next week.
Before we get to the main event, we're treated to The Rascalz in their "treehouse", after some joking remarks from all three, Desmond Xavier reminds Wentz and Miguel that Contra Unit called them out for a match at Wrestlepalooza. Wentz says that he gladly wants to kick those idiot's asses, especially the one with the weird thing coming out his mouth. Trey tells him that's mist and then the two have an argument about what it was. Xavier gets them back on track and tells them that if Contra Unit want a match, they'll give them more than just a match.
After that, we're treated to a segment of WALTER which involves him talking plus footage of him training. WALTER says that he's ready for KUSHIDA a second time, but has to factor the fact that Baron Corbin is gonna try and thwart the match. WALTER has not just been training for KUSHIDA, but the potential second threat coming from behind. If Corbin fears WALTER so much he can only attack him from behind instead of going to his face, then so be it but if he tries the same act at Wrestlepalooza it will not be a fun day for Baron Corbin.
The Public Enemy vs. Grizzled Young Veterans - Hardcore Match
This was a brutal match for sure. Both teams went at it like wolves, no chance for a breather to even being made in this match. After the Grizzled Young Vets realized there was no way they could wrestle their own match, they adapted to the style as both Zack Gibson and James Drake showed they had a true brutal side in them. The brawl spilled out to the crowd, James Drake using some of the chairs from the crowd to hit Johnny Grunge. Meanwhile in the ring Rocco Rock and Zack Gibson were going at it. After hitting Gibson with a dropkick in the corner. Rocco Rock rolled out to get a chair. Gibson got to his feet to go after Rocco and got nailed with a chair shot to the head! The match drastically changed as Johnny Grunge was able to spinebuster James Drake on one of the merch tables and then went back to the ring.
Grunge and Rocco were able to double team Gibson until Gibson was able to make a comeback and use his technical expertise to go after the damaged legs of Rocco Rock. Gibson picked up Rocco and suplex tossed him into Johnny Grunge! Gibson spat at the fans were heavily booing him. Gibson grabbed a table and set it up, going to the top rope with Rocco. After a failed powerbomb through a table attempt; both Rocco and Grunge had Gibson set up for a double superplex through the table. James Drake came back down to the ring and chucked a chair at Rocco's head. This broke the suplex grip and Gibson was able to use some power in order to choke both for a double chokeslam through the table!
The arena was loud with excitement, but Gibson was slow to make a cover, allowing for Public Enemy to stay in the match. The match continued on, weapons heavily incorporated into the match. After Grunge nailed Gibson with a trash can, Grunge and Rocco went back to double teaming on Drake which lead to the match finally coming to an end. A double legdrop from Grunge and Rocco to Drake through the table gave them the win and now made them number one contenders for The Hart Foundation's World Tag Team Championships.
