We got to the announcer's table to start, where color analyst Jeremy Borash and the voice of PPW, Mauro Ranallo, are sitting in and ready to call the action here in Seattle! They talk about the Women's number one contendership match coming up later tonight between Bea Priestley and Mia Yim, and then talk about the huge main event, as we see Buddy Murphy defend the International title against Pete Dunne. And with that, we head to the ring for our first match of the evening!
Triple Threat Match
Britt Baker vs. Kay Lee Ray vs. Santana GarrettQuick, exciting three way match here that seemed more geared to get Britt Baker over as a heel than anything. KLR and Garrett both have great athleticism and charisma for different reasons that had the fans pulling for them, but it was Baker's cockiness that really shined through. Ray would show her dare devil side late in the match, delivering a Swanton to the outside onto Baker and Garrett to get a big pop. Ray would send Garrett back into the ring and delivered a Gory Bomb with high velocity, looking like she might win it. Baker had other ideas, though, coming in and delivering a Superkick to stop Ray in her tracks and send her rolling out of the ring. Baker would then deliver a Rocker Dropper to Garrett, pinning her with her knees across her chest and gloating as the referee made the three count and the fans booed.
Winner by Pinfall: Britt BakerOut after the match comes
Dakota Kai to the stage with a microphone. Kai says that she is ready to fight her way back to the top, and she has to start somewhere. She says she watched the smug Britt Baker out here acting like she's God's gift to wrestling, and she says in Las Vegas, she wants to kick her head in! Baker takes the microphone and says that the fugly Kai can try, but she's no match for the superior intelligence and beauty of Britt Baker! Mauro says it looks like we've got a big one on one match signed for the next show in Las Vegas, and Jeremy Borash says that'll be a fun clash of styles!
Tag Team Match
The Movement: Apollo Crews / Shane Strickland vs. Unleashed: BJ Whitmer / Oney LorcanCrews and Strickland have dubbed themselves The Movement, and the fans really seemed to take to this energetic, unorthodox pairing, as these guys are two of the best athletes on the whole roster and have a lot of charisma. Strickland is especially getting a lot of love from this crowd, being a Washington native. Whitmer and Lorcan were vicious in this contest, trying to cut the ring off early on and use every dirty trick and tactic they could to get ahead, but it was to no avail. "Swerve" would avenge the beat down he took at "Rip City Riot" at the hands of these two, pinning Lorcan after delivering a Swerve Stomp as Crews was dropping Lorcan from a Military Press, smashing him into the mat for the three count!
Winners by Pinfall: Apollo Crews / Shane Strickland
Singles Match
Rhea Ripley vs. "The Queen of Pain" Sara Del ReyThese two are both big and physical, nearly evenly matched with SDR having an inch on Ripley, but this was an impressive brawl. Del Rey has great mat skills, but she would use her takedowns to open up on the less experienced Ripley with ground and pound, trying to break her will. Ripley would manage to take "The Queen of Pain" outside and show her that she could inflict some pain of her own, getting her up into the Electric Chair position and bringing her down hard on the ring apron! Back in the ring, Ripley would attempt to deliver the Riptide, only to have Del Rey break out and deliver a vicious Headbutt to the back of her head, followed by a Bridging Tiger Suplex! Ripley would manage to kick out, only to have Del Rey chain it into the LeBell Lock! Ripley is trapped and has taken a lot of damage, giving her no choice but to tap out! Impressive debut for Sara Del Rey here, as she just sent a big message to the locker room with that display.
Winner by Submission: Sara Del Rey
Tag Team Match
British Steel: Nigel McGuinness / Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Guns & Thunder: Bandido / Jushin LigerThis was 12 minutes of fast paced, back and forth action that had these fans going crazy! Jushin "Thunder" Liger was in the house, and his partner of choice is one of the most exciting wrestlers on the planet right now in Bandido! These two brought speed and power, and the fans were going nuts for Guns & Thunder! Nigel and Zack were very much game for this challenge, and made for great dance partners here, as they showed a great chemistry and skill, but it just seemed like the momentum was against them tonight. Liger and Bandido would put this one away with a move they call the Lightning Crash, which sees Liger get Nigel up for the Liger Bomb in the corner with Bandido grabbing them from the top and hitting a Shiranui as Liger performs his finisher to devastating effect! Bandido would fly out of the ring with a Tope con Hilo onto Sabre as Liger made the cover to get the three count! It really can't be stated enough how much these fans ate these guys up, as they celebrated for about a minute afterwards to a standing and roaring crowd who clearly want to see more!
Winners by Pinfall: Bandido / Jushin Liger
Singles Match
"The Shenom" Ember Moon vs. Killer KellyEmber Moon would eat a hard loss to Mia Yim at "Rip City Riot", but she looked to get herself back on the right track here against Killer Kelly. Kelly came out guns blazing, looking to out strike and punish Moon, but "The Shenom" was a step ahead and super determined tonight, it didn't look like anything could stop here. She was fast, precise, and just seemed to be on a whole different level than Kelly. Moon would deliver the Eclipse to the delight of this crowd to put things away, and she looked like a star tonight.
Winner by Pinfall: Ember MoonMoon gets on the microphone and says that she wants to keep her name in the conversation in the International Women's title hunt, and she wants a fight in Las Vegas! This brings
Toni Storm out, who says that she came soooo close to winning that title and she too needs to stay relevant. She says if that means taking out Ember Moon, then so be it! Borash on commentary points out that this is going to be one EXPLOSIVE contest, and he personally can't wait to see these two face off at our next event!
PPW North American Title
Singles Match
"The Show Off" Dolph Ziggler vs. "The Flamboyant" Juice Robinson (c)There were some early head games in this contest, as Ziggler would really play with the crowd and draw them in, getting them behind Juice Robinson perhaps more than they would have been otherwise and showing his skills as a ring general. Robinson has a great amount of skill himself, and it was clear early on that this match up isn't just a great championship match, but the chemistry between these two could lead to a long term rivalry if they can both fight to stay relevant in this deep and competitive PPW locker room. Robinson would try to put Ziggler away multiple times, respecting the former World champion and his prowess and wanting to prove himself, but Ziggler was resilient. Ziggler was cocky throughout and that would come back to bite him, as Robinson was fiery and would make Ziggler pay for any wasted motion or lack of attention, delivering a Palm Strike, a Crescent Kick, or just a big left hand to keep him honest throughout. Ziggler would pull the referee in front of a Crescent Kick at one point and roll out of the ring, getting boos from the crowd! Robinson would check the referee as Ziggler went over to the timekeeper's table, doing what, though? Ziggler would back up towards the apron and Robinson would bend and reach through the ropes, only to have Ziggler turn and BLAST HIM WITH THE RING BELL! Ziggler would yell and taunt the crowd, throwing down the bell and saying "THIS IS MY TIME!" Robinson is bleeding in the center of the ring, trying to get to his feet, but Ziggler catches him with a Superkick, nearly knocking his head off! Ziggler hooks the leg hard and yells at the referee to make the count. ONE, TWO, THREE! DOLPH ZIGGLER HAS WON THE NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP!
Winner by Pinfall, and NEW PPW North American Champion: Dolph ZigglerZiggler grabs the championship belt, not even allowing the referee to raise his hand, and then takes a microphone. He gets in Juice's face, slapping his hand away as he tries to reach up and grab him. Ziggler tells Juice that he's not on his level, and nobody on this roster is! He says he came in here and day one, match one, took championship gold, and he says "The Show Off" is now the "The Face of Prestige" and nobody can show him up or take him down! Ziggler parades up the ramp with his newly won title, smiling ear to ear as the fans boo and chant "Asshole!" Mauro says it's a damn shame that Ziggler stole the title here tonight and potentially shortened what could have been a great reign as champion for Juice is a tainted way! Borash says that Ziggler has shown that killer instinct over the years, and he knows how to make it to the top, and sometimes that's what separates a top star from a mid-level competitor. He says Juice will have to do some soul searching here and see if he's willing to do what it takes to take it to Ziggler and get dirty to get back what he wants, and that's the North American title. Juice leaves the ring looking deflated, bleeding from his head as the fans try to pat him on the back, but he just can't seem to believe his title reign is over already and that he lost that way.
PPW International Women's Title #1 Contendership
Singles Match
Bea Priestley vs. "The H.B.I.C." Mia YimWe knew this was going to be a vicious fight, with both women wanting desperately to be International Women's champion, but we didn't know just how far they would go. From Bea Priestley delivering a German Suplex to Yim on an unfolded chair in the middle of the ring, to Yim hitting a Cradle Piledriver to Priestley off the apron through a table, this match turned into a street fight, and the referee let it go as long as she could, knowing that there could be title ramifications from this contest. Both women were bleeding and battered by the end, punching each other back and forth in the middle of the crowd before Priestley deliver a Roundhouse Kick to the head of Yim and then tackled her over a guardrail and onto the production tables below! From there, Priestley would climb a ladder up to a balcony, but Yim would shake off her wounds and show her toughness, following Priestley up and grabbing her by the leg as she reached the balcony. The two would fight on the edge, exchanging punches, knees, and headbutts. Yim would get the better of this, catching a Roundhouse Kick from Priestley and grabbing her into a Fisherman's hold before pulling her off and sending both women slamming through the production tables, breaking the equipment and smashing the table, and both women laid in a heap on the concrete! The fans are chanting "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" Neither woman really appears to be moving and both probably need medical attention, and the referee has no choice but to call the match. This war is mercifully over, as both women gave everything they had tonight.
No ContestMia Yim tries to fight off the medical help, but she doesn't have the energy. Both women are taken out by medical staff as the fans stand and clap for them, cheering them on for their amazing effort tonight. Mauro reports that he is getting word that after that gutsy showing, if both women are cleared to compete in Las Vegas, that BOTH WOMEN have earned the right to face Mayu Iwatani for the International Women's title! Jeremy Borash is very excited by this prospect, as this could be the greatest challenge to the seemingly impervious Iwatani yet, as these two have just proven themselves to be two of the toughest competitors in the locker room and Mayu doesn't even have to be pinned to lose the belt now in Las Vegas!
PPW International Title
Singles Match
Buddy Murphy (c) vs. "The Bruiserweight" Pete DunneThese two have been on a collision course for some time now, as both have been near the top of PPW since day one, and they've partnered together to success, but one always had to wonder who would come out on top of a contest between them. Tonight, we would get the answers, as the champion looked poised to face a huge challenge in the British sensation, Pete Dunne. Dunne would take things to the mat right away and started working over the arm and fingers over Murphy, really keeping the pace methodical early on and creating a lot of tension. The fans would get behind Murphy, would looked to speed things up, fighting back and landing some quick blows to Dunne, but Dunne would deliver a Bicycle Kick, followed by a Lariat for a two count, and then continued the mat work, attacking the arm further. Dunne would take Murphy to the outside and wrench his arm around the guardrail and twist it, really trying to inflict damage. Dunne would then place Murphy's fingers on the ring steps and proceed to stomp them down, trying to mangle his digits! Murphy would fight back with a low kick, followed by a High Knee. He would grab Dunne and attempt to lift him for a Powerbomb on the outside, but Dunne would deliver a sharp 12 to 6 elbow to his forehead, followed by a grabbing his arm and slamming it into the ring apron! From there, Dunne would send Murphy back first into the guardrail and then step on him and taunt the crowd, sending them rude gestures and miming the belt around his waist! Dunne would pull the ring steps out and then pick up Murphy before lifting him and delivering the X Plex onto the ring steps in absolutely BRUTAL FASHION! Dunne sends Murphy back into the ring and proceeds to deliver an Orange Crush, and it looks like he has the win, but NO! Murphy manages to kick out! Dunne stays on him, though, mounting and delivering vicious inside forearms before trying for a Cross Armbar, but Murphy blocks it and shows his strength, lifting Dunne and running, delivering a modified Buckle Bomb! Murphy then runs off the ropes and sends a Running Kneescrape across the face of Dunne, trying for a cover afterwards, but only a two count- and Dunne counters, grabbing Murphy's arm and trying to lock on a Kimura! Dunne is fighting for it, but Murphy shows his strength and technique, fighting it off and managing to reverse it, delivering a sort of Suplex into the opposite buckles, smashing Dunne in a bad way! Dunne rolls out of the ring here, as he's taken two big blows now in relatively short order, but Murphy's not done. Murphy measures up "The Bruiserweight" on the outside and comes flying over the top with a BEAUTIFUL Front Flip Suicida! The crowd is going crazy, chanting for Murphy now, who soaks it in as he grips his arm. Dunne is back up and Murphy goes on the attack, but Dunne counters with a low punch followed by a European uppercut. Dunne tries to throw Murphy into the turnpost, but Murphy reverses it and sends Dunne back first into the post, sending him spiraling into the guardrail! Dunne is in pain here and Murphy follows up, running and smashing into Dunne with a Bicycle Kneestrike! Murphy grabs Dunne and pulls him into Powerbomb position. Murphy lifts him and slams Dunne into the ground with a Powerbomb but hangs on and lifts him, rotating and delivering a Powerbomb into the ring apron! Murphy then sends Dunne into ring and grabs him again, lifting him and delivering a Canadian Rack DDT, attempting a cover afterwards, but Dunne kicks out at two! Murphy's not done, though, grabbing Dunne's arms and sending a Knee straight into his face and trying for a pinfall again, but Dunne manages to kick out again! Murphy grabs Dunne by the legs and deadlifts him up into a Powerbomb, but Dunne floats over it and into a Sunset Flip, but only a two count, but Dunne kicks Murphy in the head and grabs his arms now... DOUBLE WRISTLOCK STOMPS STRAIGHT TO THE FACE, ONE AFTER THE OTHER FROM DUNNE, AND MURPHY IS HURTING BAD! Murphy may be knocked out here as Dunne goes for the cover, but the champion, maybe just out of instinct, kicks out at two, but there's Dunne, back after the arm! He's trying for the Kimura and Murphy is trying to escape, but Dunne locks it in! He's got it on tight, but Murphy is close enough to the ropes and gets his feet on the bottom rope, but Dunne rolls him and gets him closer to the center of the ring before the referee can enforce the break! Murphy manages to get the top position, though, and begins punching Dunne in the spleen and kidneys, followed by a massive Kneestrike below the belt, and he's able to weakened Dunne's grip! Murphy wraps his arms around Dunne and pulls him up, throwing him over with a Belly to Belly Suplex towards the turnbuckles! Both men are down momentarily, but Murphy manages to pull himself up and motion for the crowd, clapping his hands and waving from them to get into it. Dunne pulls himself up in the corner and Murphy rushes in, delivering the Bicycle Kneestrike! Dunne is woozy in the corner as Murphy backs off and runs across the ring and then back over, leaping but Dunne catches him in mid-air with a Forearm Strike, taking him down! Dunne shakes off the cobwebs and heads up top, but he's rather slow about it. And Murphy all of the sudden is back up and sending punches into Dunne's head! Dunne sends a headbutt, staggering Murphy for a second, but Murphy leaps up and catches Dunne with an Enzuigiri to knock him senseless! Murphy heads up top, grabbing Dunne into a Firemans' Carry and then drops him stomache first onto the top turnbuckle! The fans are going crazy for Buddy Murphy now, who is putting on a Hell of a show! Murphy isn't done yet, though, rolling to the apron and heading up top. Dunne is holding his guts and stumbles up, and Murphy flies off the top... METEORA! BEAUTIFUL! Murphy is looking pretty exhausted, but manages to go over and pin Dunne, but Pete Dunne isn't finished yet! He kicks out at two and both men are down, as these fans are on their feet clapping, stomping, and chanting for these two men. Both men are up to their knees and are face to face in the center of the ring, eye to eye, forehead to forehead, egging one another on to keep fighting. Dunne sends a slap into the face of Murphy, and Murphy answers back with a slap of his own. The two exchange forearms back and forth before Dunne unloads a Headbutt, and then a European uppercut. Murphy is on his knees but he face is on the mat, and Dunne is up and delivers three big stomps to the back of his head! Dunne is like a man possessed, lifting up Murphy and pulling him into the Pumphandle and he tries for the Bitter End, but NO! Murphy slides out of it! Bicycle Kneestrike! He grabs Dunne and is trying for Murphy's Law, but Dunne manages to break free as he is being lifted, and delivers a Superkick, stunning Murphy! Murphy drops to a knee for a second, but is back up and Dunne is running off the ropes... LARIAT! Murphy flips inside out, and Dunne still isn't done! Hair frayed, looking insane, Dunne grabs Murphy on the mat and hoists him over with a Deadlift German Suplex, bridging it and the crowd is chanting... ONE, TWO, THRE- NO! Murphy kicks out! Murphy kicks out! Dunne pounds on the mat and grabs the referee. Murphy is rolling on the mat and grabs the ropes, trying to get up. Dunne turns and runs, delivering a Facewash kick to the side of Murphy's head and then he grabs him, trying for the Bitter End once more, but Murphy reverses it with a back elbow, and then another, and then a low spin kick, followed by a knee to the side of the head! Dunne tries for a Discus Lariat out of desperation, but Murphy ducks it and delivers another Bicycle Knee right under the chin. Dunne's eyes roll in the back of his head as Murphy grabs him and gets him into position... MURPHY'S LAW! HE NAILS IT, AND ALL OF THE LIFE HAS BEEN BLASTED OUT OF DUNNE'S BODY! Murphy hooks the leg and the fans count... ONE, TWO, THREE! IT'S ALL OVER! MURPHY RETAINS!
Winner by Pinfall, and STILL PPW International Champion: Buddy MurphyBuddy Murphy sits in the middle of the ring, looking pretty dazed and he's been through two wars now in two title defenses. It looks as though the reality of his position is really setting in, as he now knows what it is to be the PPW International champion. There are no days off, no easy defenses, and you will get everybody's best shot every night. Murphy takes his title and then takes the microphone. He says that at the next show, he's going to be making another title defense, because he's a fighting fuckin' champion! The fans give him a big cheer for this. And he says, just like before, he's opening the door here... he knows what it takes, he knows the sacrifices he has to make each and every night in order to wear this title, and he's willing to face any man, any time, in any match to prove he is the best wrestler on the planet! He says everyone in this business is taking notice now, because they all know Buddy Murphy is the real deal, a TRUE champion, and he wants to know who the next man is that wants a shot at this belt! He doesn't have to wait long, as
"Scorched Ops" hits the speakers and out walks
Jay Lethal! Lethal takes the microphone and says that he came to Prestige Pro Wrestling to find the opportunity that had eluded him elsewhere, and now that he sees that opportunity, he's going to take it! He says he doesn't need any special stipulation, he doesn't need a special circumstance, he just needs the opportunity, because he knows he is the best wrestler lacing up the boots today, and he knows he is the one who can carry that belt into the future and take this place to new heights! Murphy says if Lethal wants to prove he's the best, he can try, but he will know what everybody else has come to know, and that is Buddy Murphy is FOR REAL, and his title reign has just begun!
Mauro and Jeremy are on commentary LOVING this announcement, as we've got some huge matches in store for us in Las Vegas! And with that, we say thanks once again for joining us, and good night!
