Behind the GMz Screen (Interlude) "You know what gang violence is, mostly? And the people don't want you to hear this... somebody shoots your family member... so of course you retaliate, you know what I mean?! Same thing the US does except nobody even shot their family members! They see somebody bomb a school and all these people get killed, so the United States feel like "ooo that's messed up, we gotta show them who's the REAL killers!" This country is built on gangs. I think this country is still run on gangs. Republicans, Democrats, the Police Department. The FBI, the CIA... those are gangs! The correctional officers... I had a correctional officer tell me straight up "we the biggest gang in NY state". Straight up..." * TUPAC SHAKUR Gangs have been in existence every since the rise of humanity. Humans have always banded together for mutual protection and support - and to better dominate others. Gangs have always provided a way for people to more effectively get what they want, especially if it comes to force. And weaker members of society gravitate toward gangs that they feel can offer a sense of community and protection from others. The word “thug”, though, comes from India. In about 1200 CE, the word was used to describe a group of criminals that pillaged country towns. The thugs had their own slang, rituals and signs to help identify other members and create their own tight-knit society. Gangs today have similar practices of creating their own sub-language, symbols, handshakes and other identifiers.
Street gangs in the U.S. arose with Italian immigrants related to the Sicilian Mafia and others. These street gangs in New York City stole and killed to get what they wanted. One of the most famous street gang members was Al Capone, who later moved to Chicago in 1919 to help keep the other gangsters in order. Street gangs of this type were quite popular in the 1920s and 1930s. Later, other immigrants and poor youth followed the trend set by this earlier generation. Hispanics, Asians and African Americans began banding together to form gangs in the 1950s and 1960s. By the 1970s and 1980s, there were national gang alliances, with gangs moving out of Los Angeles and New York City, and spreading across the country, with affiliates in many towns, as well as drug routes to finance gang activities. Gang violence between opposing bands, as well as senseless violence, flourished. There are still concerns, and there are still gangs that are formed so that some can take what they want, acquire power and dominate, and others can feel as though they belong and are protected. MSD's Eternal Wrestling Truths #7
WRESTLING is GANG-RELATED In the world of pro wrestling, "gangs" are nothing new. Whether it was the original NWA union, or the countless factions and trust busters that competed against them - gangs ruled the game. In a nod to the penultimate pro wrestling governing body, BCCW resurrected the Gold Dust Trio, had them go Incorporated and brought them back to reshape the course of history for 2011. Pro Wrestling is gang-related because with the proper backing and balance of power, you can carve your own niche and rule your own kingdom. The territorial days of yore - those were gangs. McMahon, Gagne, Crockett, Von Erich bloodlines... those are gangs. Family. Faction. Fatality. Truth or Fiction? Believe it or not, but the bigger the gang the bigger the bang. Strength in numbers, pack of wild dogs, street soldiers. You've heard it all before. In pro wrestling history, men like The Grand Wizard, Gary Hart and Freddie Blassie ran small militias of madmen and champions. All the way up through the gangsta rap generation, when "gang wars" where being fought in mainstream wrestling establishments between the likes of the Truth Militia, Los Boricuas, DOA, Nation of Domination, NWO, MEM and DX. Now we have Nexus, Fortune and the Immortals running things and pulling strings like the Mafia Dons of old. BCCW - home of the ORIGINAL GANGTAS of pro wrestling - is no stranger to gang life. Gold Dust Trio Inc runs the business end with a mob mentality, and might-makes-right fright. Even reigning Unified Champion John Cena shouts out his "Chain Gang" of followers and supporters. Elsewhere the high-class Diamond Dynasty continues to expand, the drug gangs in BCCW are out of control, the BLK Mobb still runs the streets and Jake "the Snake" Roberts leads a band of cutthroats under the "Straight Edge Society" banner (which could be considered more of a "cult" than a "gang"). There is no doubt that in BCCW, you can find strength in numbers.

"Gold Dust Trio Incorporated" NAME: GOLD DUST TRIO INC DESCRIPTION: Through this vast organization came about a new lexicon in the world of wrestling. The word “shooting” meant a match that was on the level. In other words, a contest for blood with the best man to win. “Working” was a term used to denote two wrestlers putting on a show for the crowd with the result determined beforehand. A “program” was a series of bouts with the ultimate results destined to build up a suitable opponent for the champion to meet. “Heat” meant getting the fans excited. The organization left nothing to chance. In case a promoter not directly controlled by the trust decided later on to spill the beans, he would find himself without written evidence. Code names and terms were used to designate wrestlers and the results of bouts. An agent sent into a town to handle a herd of wrestlers scheduled to appear in a club might receive a wire from a Mister Mondt hooker reading: [glow=red,2,300]“GLENDALE GOES THROUGH WITH LEGS STOP MITCH OVER PANAMA THIRTY MINUTES COLLISION STOP CHRIS TOPS DODGE CITY FORTY MINUTES DOCTOR PINS KANGAROO THIRTY AND TIGER UNDER TOOTS.” [/glow] Sounds confusing, doesn’t it? Well, the man in charge of the wrestlers knew its meaning. Deciphered it read: “Ray Steele wrestles draw with Fred Grubmier. Rudy Dusek beats Dick Daviscourt, by knocking his head against Daviscourt’s, both falling out of the ring. Dusek returning before the referee can count ten. Jim Londos to beat Joe Stecher in forty minutes, Doctor Karl Sarpolis to beat Tom Alley in thirty minutes and Bill Nelson to be pinned by Toots Mondt as suits Mondt’s inclination.” BACKGROUND: The reign of The Grand Wizard (the brain), Lewis (Nekoosa), and Mondt (Greeley, because he came from Greeley, Colorado), proved to be a harmonious combination for many years. The Brain was the manipulator while Nekoosa and Greeley “worked.” TGW's glib tongue induced many tough grapplers to come into the “Monstah Camp” as it was known, and work with Lewis and Mondt. By “shooting” or “working” independently, wrestlers made peanuts. Under the Gold Dust Trio they garnered coconuts. TGW sees to it that popular sectional cards make more money under his banner than they could operating independently and shooting. The wrestlers listen to reason. It is easier and more profitable to be identified with “The Gold Dust Trio.” So skilled did the Gold Dust Trio become that it kept the fans completely fooled. Lewis and Mondt, partners in the combination, mind you, frequently wrestled each other. It is said they met some fifty times, and Lewis wrestled Dick Daviscourt twenty-one times in Wichita, Kansas, alone. The number of times Champion Lewis met good workers ran into the hundreds. The fans ate it up and came back for more. It was all a show, full of action and there being no betting on the bouts, no one suffered financially. "Master of dramaturgy is The Grand Wizard. With the skill and cunning of a Belasco, he brought out the salient and colorful points of a pachyderm’s crowd appeal. No wrestler (or hardcore niche) is too unimportant for him to view in action. Money pours into the TGW-Lewis-Mondt coffers. Strangely enough, though TGW, Mondt and Lewis believed in contracts, cash guarantees of faith, and bonuses as rewards for work well done, never in their long association did they have a contract between them. Theirs is a faith and friendship that defies the efforts and whisperings of envious connivers waiting on the side lines like vultures to feed off the carnal remains when one made a slip".
* "Fall Guys: The Barnums of Bounce" by Marcus Griffin (1937) ROSTER: Mister Mondt founded BCCW. He's the company owner, responsible for corralling investors and setting up distribution and other network connections. TGW is the brain and chief financial officer; Ed "Strangler" Lewis works the rest. MSD is in sales, publicity and promotion. Talent under the GDT Inc banner includes former Undisputed champion Desmond Wolfe, McMahon Junior Mafia don Triple H, the Monstah Squad and newly-recruited outlaw shootfighter Ken Shamrock. COMPANY GOAL: Mass-marketing of the new Pro 'Rasslin / MMA hybrid style they are trying to patten and own. A distinct mixture of hard style, sparring and dramatic embellishment, the Mondt "slam bang western style" of sports entertainment is poised to bridge the fanbases and increase revenue world wide. All under control of Gold Dust Trio Inc, the hottest sports agency in pro wrestling today. Taking the lead of fellow sports organizers like Zuffa, GDT Inc plans on expanding their reach into thus far untapped markets. Recently the UFC had their heavyweight champion replaced with a Mexican to help promote their product south of the border. Here, Gold Dust Trio Inc hoped to expand into Asia and the Far East - a VERY lucrative market for their brand of controlled mayhem. The only problem was - their "champ" at the time, John Cena, refused to be a company man and put over their choice for the title (Puroresu founder and Japanese legend RIKIDOZAN). This threw potential plans in disarray, and still operating under an old-school ethos, GDT knew the only way to overcome this disagreement was to shoot. Masahiko Kimura wound up beating Rikidozan (who was later murdered by the Yakuza - related or not we can't speculate), and John Cena suffered a car crash that almost stunted his BCCW career. The Gold Dust Trio Inc's mass absorption of every major title in wrestling history continued unabated, with the only remaining speedbump being John Cena and his title. They threw every angle and distraction they could at the Champ, but with a lot of Hustle, Loyalty and Respect, Cena was able to overcome all. Finally, in one last act of desperation - Mister Mondt himself stepped into the square circle to settle this deal once and for all. Being the gambling man that he is, Mister Mondt arranged to have the deck stacked in his favor. Little did he know, the Cenation runs rich with Red & Yellow (see conclusion to the last BCCW ppv "ORIGIN of VIOLENCE"). Now, they are at a furious impasse - with Cena continuing to rage against the machine and Mister Mondt's political pride pickled. This swirl of events has precipitated Mister Mondt's latest decision to release the next BCCW ppv entitled "GANG RULZ". It's almost Thanksgiving time, and even WWE has been forced to acknowledge their own fall tradition by resurrecting the Survivor Series PPV. In compliance with Rule #7: Wrestling is Gang-Related, and as a nod back to the infamous Montreal screw-job, Mister Mondt has secured the advertising rights for "GANG RULZ" 2010. Where the past meets the present in a catastrophic collision to shape the future. There, at "GANG RULZ" - Mondt's hand selected "Think Tank" will clash head-on with the new Mega-Powers: Hulk Hogan (1986) and John Cena (2008). [glow=red,2,300]"THE THINK TANK" [/glow] Each individual faction under the Gold Dust Trio Inc. umbrella is responsible for its own goals. Like various departments within the same company. At the highest level in the hierarchy sits Mister Mondt and the upper management. A gang of strong-arm business men dubbed "The Think Tank" by various insider newsletters and commission reports. The Think Tank is Mister Mondt's collection of leg-breakers and problem solvers. They have been assigned to face the new united threat of Hogan/Cena against them head-on. The Think Tank consists of Mister Mondt, McMahon Junior Mafia don Triple H, Gracie-jiu jitsu shogun Dave Batista and the new public face of their distinguished branch: "Dashing" Cody Rhodes. The Think Tank is prepared to do battle with the new Mega-Powers John Cena & Hulk Hogan at the next BCCW ppv "GANG RULZ". MISTER MONDT "If one wrestler "hooked" (double-crossed) another, he would usually come face to face with the "policeman" in his next bout. The policeman knew everything he needed to about this rogue grappler because the policeman was usually the one who broke the wrestler in and trained him. That policeman was none other than Mondt himself, for that was Tootsie’s role in the organization. The match would be a "shoot," meaning on the level, at least on the part of the policeman. Mondt was so feared and respected that he rarely if ever had to engage in these kinds of matches. Besides, under the TGW-Lewis-Mondt regime the boys were paid so much better that only a few had any reason at all to grumble. They came up with an innovation so radical that it won the boys over without complaint: the regular paycheck. Wrestlers never had to worry where their next payoff was coming from or by who, or whether the promoter had absconded with the box-office receipts during the bouts. The Gold Dust Trio Inc's system led to the saying "loyal as his last paycheck." * Phantom of the Ring TRIPLE H: I haven't read a dirt sheet in 10 years. And that's the damn truth. Yes I'm in a top position. Yes I'm married to the boss's daughter. Yes I sit in production meetings. But, at the end of the day, there is only one person with the stroke in this business. And that's Mister Mondt. If he doesn't like something, whether it's my idea or not, it's not going to happen. I want guys like John Cena around. I want to bring new guys up and help make them. People always accuse me of not wanting to drop the belt to a guy. That's complete crap. I didn't drop the belt to S ammartino because no one asked me to drop it to Sammartino. I've yet to see Hulk Hogan lose to anybody. He wrestles once every 6 months, and it doesn't matter if you're the biggest name in active competition today, he's not going to lose to you. There was suppose to be a Hogan/Michaels 2, and Hogan was supposed to lose. All of a sudden his knee starting "bugging" him. The fact of the matter is that he was a completely unprofessional dipsh*t. One more thing for the internet haters.... It all stems from people who have opinions about the business they've never been involved in. And they're the same people waiting outside for my autograph after the show. CODY RHODES: amateur wrestling. I only lost twice in high school. I was 101-2 and won two state championships at 189 pounds. That was my life. Waking up at 6 a.m. in winter, hitting the track and carrying 2-by-4s on my shoulders – it was full blown. "Cenation Immortals" Name: CENATION IMMORTALS Description: Hustle. Loyalty. Respect. In a world where "bad" means good, and moral decay continues to erode our society, a chosen few remain steady along the path. Truth, justice and the American way. In the 1940s it was Captain America, in the 1950s it was Superman, in the 1980s it was Hulk Hogan... now in the 2010s it's John Cena. The undisputed All-American superhero of the pro wresting genre. He continues to fight the battle against corruption, corporate consolidation and Gordon Gecko-type greed. Of course John Cena is not as universally revered as these same type of figures were a few years, decades or generations ago... but that's because the gangsta rap generation was born nihilistic and infused with cynicism. Sometimes they can't see the light even when it's shining in their face. In Broken City Championship Wrestling, John Cena stands for honor. Honor in the face of overwhelming odds, honor in the midst of crushing defeat, honor to one's craft and the legacy that was left before. John Cena helped BCCW to the biggest opening buyrate in Fantasy Wrestling history when he triumphed over Mil Mascaras and Rikidozan in an international 3-way Dance at "RESPECT THE SHOOTERS & HOOKERS". Cena was subsequently approached by Mister Mondt and the Gold Dust Trio Inc to throw the title and put over their heir-apparent (and the man they believed would open up the Japanese floodgates for BCCW), Rikidozan. But Cena refused to lay down, and was involved in a heinous hit-and-run accident that almost killed him (related or not, we can't speculate). At "CITY of CHAMPIONS" an injured John Cena overcame mercenary head-hunter Abdullah the Butcher in a brutal Last Man Standing Match. But at "KNOW the LEDGE", John Cena was tripped up by the nefarious combination of GDT Inc and the Diamond Dynasty. In an elimination tag match, Cena's team lost to a team captained by "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers. This minor setback put the original Nature Boy in the cross hairs for an immediate title match. Finally, everything the GDT Inc had worked toward was coming to fruition. At the "BEHIND the WALLS" ppv, John Cena finally lost his championship strap in an Elimination Chamber match against 7 other men. Even Superman himself couldn't deny those odds. Arch-rival "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers walked out the champ, but John Cena fought himself back into #1 Contendership, and at "GRAND CONJUNCTION" - John Cena beat Buddy Rogers to retain the WWE title he so proudly claimed. At BCCW presents "AFTERMATH", Cena was forced to once again put his strap on the line against "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers - but this time, the manipulative schemer Mister Mondt inserted himself as the special referee. What they didn't' count on, was the recently displaced Ted Dibiase Jr coming to Cena's aid to help overcome the odds - and John Cena miraculously walked out of "AFTERMATH" still WWE Champion. This led to a War Games match at "DOUBLE DOWN" where Cena led a team against Mister Mondt in a thrilling victory. The higher-ups were incensed, and set a plan in motion that would ultimately banish Ted Dibiase Jr from BCCW forever. But finally, John Cena had his chance to make history by becoming the first ever Fantasy Wrestling Unified Undisputed champion, when he received a title unification match against GDT Inc's main man Desmond Wolfe. At "DEEPER than WRESTLING", the two opposing forces clashed in an instant classic. In the end, Cena unified the titles by making Desmond Wolfe tap out to the STFU. John Cena is on top of the Fantasy Wrestling globe. Finally taking matters into his own hands, Mister Mondt himself decided to step into the ring and teach the Champ a lesson in humility and respect. So at "ORIGIN of VIOLENCE", Mister Mondt challenged John Cena one-on-one for the new Unified Fantasy Wrestling championship. Little did Mr Mondt know, for every ace up his sleeve - John Cena had a counter. Triple H was met by Mil Mascaras. Ed "the Strangler" Lewis was shut down by Shooters Club founder Masahiko Kimura. The last card in the Gold Dust Trio Inc card was former Undisputed champion Desmond Wolfe - who interfered in the match and had his boss Mister Mondt on the sure-fire track to victory. Unfortunately, what none of the men realized, Cena's fighting spirit had awoken a long dormant force. At one time it was pro wrestling's most powerful. An invincibility born out of sacrifice, training hard, taking your vitamins and saying your prayers. Mister Mondt and his Gold Dust Trio Inc were met by the most unstoppable force in pro wrestling history - HULKAMANIA!!!! The Red-n-Yellow swarmed GDT Inc, aiding in their downfall. John Cena beat Mister Joseph "Toots" Mondt to retain his Unified championship. The stars were aligned, history was made and the new Mega-Powers were formed. The "CENATION IMMORTALS". MEMBERS: JOHN CENA: Wanna know why I'm a pro wrestler today? Number one on the list has got to be Wrestlemania III, Hogan vs. Andre. That was something that, as a kid, we got the whole family togethe r and watched it on pay-per-view. That was really something special. As far as other careermoments, something for me personally, was " ORIGIN of VIOLENCE, being a part of the event and beating Mister Mondt when Hogan came out and stood side-by-side with me. That match helped pave my success here in BCCW. Those are the two that stick out in my mind, one from a fan's perspective, one from an athlete's, looking back at an event and a sport that I never thought I'd even be able to make it into. HULK HOGAN: It's crazy because I was in teaming with John Cena, and when I came out, it was so loud I couldn't believe it. I've been to rock concerts. I've been to ZZ Top, the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, The Black Eyed Peas, and I've never heard anything so loud. The fans are so loyal to this Hulkamania thing. They grew up on it, I've been with them over 20 years, but now, everything has changed. There was that gray area where they were cheering the bad guys and the NWO thing was cool and people flipping the middle finger in the ring was cool, but now after 9/11, the death and devastation, people want happy things, things they are used to. All of a sudden, Hulk Hogan has become retro. Hulk Hogan has become cool again. So to come out and to hear how loud the fans are. To hear how loyal the fans are, it's truly overwhelming. I just can't believe I've been reborn in the BCCW!!! MIL MASCARAS Mascaras debuted in BCCW as the focal point of their Mexican marketing. Although he didn't win his debut match, his high-flying heavyweight style endeared him to the American audience and he retained his immense international popularity. At "CITY of CHAMPIONS" he gave the rub to futuristic high-flyer Evan Bourne by teaming up with him in a tag team bout in which they were both victorious. His successful and popular team with Evan Bourne came to an artificial end, when they were defeated alongside Team Cena at "KNOW the LEDGE". For attempting to buck the system alongside Public Enemy #1 John Cena, Mil Mascaras and Evan Bourne were punished further by being forced to face each other at "BEHIND the WALLS" in a Mexican Death Match (that Evan Bourne ultimately won). But there were no hard feelings between the two technicos, and Mascaras continued to fight the good battle. At "GRAND CONJUNCTION", Mil Mascaras entered into a bloody and horrendous feud against Abdullah the Butcher that almost saw him lose his cherished mask. The feud climaxed at "AFTERMATH" when Mascaras beat the Butcher in a "Falls Count Anywhere" hardcore match. At "DOUBLE DOWN", Mil Mascaras once again teamed with John Cena in a successful War Games match against the united forces of GDT Inc and the Diamond Dynasty. Mil Mascaras looked great in the victory, so good in fact, Gold Dust Trio Inc pulled him from the next BCCW ppv entirely ("DEEPER THAN WRESTLING") and shipped him overseas for a P.R. jaunt. They didn't want him to interfere with their plans to have Desmond Wolfe unify all the belts that night. For that same reason, Mil Mascaras was also left off the last card "ORIGIN of VIOLENCE". But he defied owners orders by appearing that night in the main event to offset Triple H's interference. In turn, Mil Mascaras has proved himself a loyal and trustworthy soldier in the Cenation Immortals army. But how long can they withstand the increasing forces of Gold Dust Trio Inc? BRUNO SAMMARTINO: BCCW - fantasy wrestling - it's always been a dream of mine, you know that. I have to give it a shot. Anyway, to make a long story short, I told my people at work that I appreciated them giving me work for the last two years, but I had to pursue this, and they wished me luck. Then I went to Washington, and for the next two months I was there and trained. I trained, and then–boom– I went back to Pittsburgh to my first BCCW match, and that was "GRAND CONJUNCTION". That's how I got into it. I had problems with the WWWF. I started with them, I was wrestling for them, but then certain things were happening, and I wasn't happy. We were doing TV in New York, and the [New York State Athletic] Commission was very strong about strictly going by the rules. You weren't allowed to throw punches, you weren't allowed to throw kicks. You had to go strictly wrestling. To make a long story short, my New York boss eventually folded due to these rules, and McMahon took over the whole thing. At this point, I thought McMahon was sincere. I went back to McMahon, but it was obvious that what he wanted to do was make a doormat out of me. And of course, I wasn't going to allow them to make me a "curtain-opener," as we call it, every night. So I finally told him that if this is the way I was going to be treated, that I wanted to move on. So McMahon said, "Where are you going?" I said, "Well, I've contacted MSD." You probably don't remember that name, but I'm going out there," I said. Then they played a nice little trick on me. After I was supposed to finish at such and such a date, McMahon booked me after that date but did not let me know anything about it. He booked me purposely in Baltimore so when I'd leave, naturally, I wouldn't show up in Baltimore. And he told the Commission, "Sammartino's supposed to be here, but he's not here, so I think he should be suspended." So I'm in Broken City wrestling (McMahon Junior Mafia's chosen warrior Triple H), and one day a guy from the state athletic commission came and said to me, "You're Sammartino?" I said, "Yeah." He said, "You're not wrestling here, you're suspended." I said, "Suspended for what?" He said, "I don't know. It came from headquarters in New York. You're suspended." And it was a big mystery. In th[e]se days in the state athletic commission, there's a lot of corruption, and promoters literally bought them. This was an illegal suspension because by law–see, I didn't know all this stuff because I was a very naive young guy. The law at that time, as I found out years later, was that if you were to be suspended, before they could suspend you, they'd have to have a hearing with you, and you'd have to be found guilty or innocent. I never had any kind of a hearing. No one even notified me what I'd been suspended for, or by whom. Well, it got to be very brutal because everywhere I went, the suspension followed me to the point to where I couldn't work anyplace. I couldn't wrestle. So I went back to construction work, went back to Pittsburgh. Yeah, they've got me blackballed all over the country...
Bruno Sammartino completes the legends quartet. King of the '60s, much like Mascaras ruled the '70's, Hogan the '80s and Cena the 2010's. Sammartino was the second WWWF champion ever, defeating none other than "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers for that title. Sammartino kept this title for seven years, eight months, and one day - which STILL stands as the longest continuous world title reign in men's wrestling history. When the Fantasy Wrestling alignments began to change, Bruno wasn't even originally a part of BCCW. He took part in a second-hand, lesser promotion that promised a much lighter workload. Little did he know at the time, Bruno was but a mere pawn in a bigger game being played by the Gold Dust Trio Inc / McMahon Junior Mafia merger. He was purposely being kept off the sidelines, so as to not distract them from their true course of action - unification of every major title in wrestling history under the 'BCCW' banner. When Bruno learned how he was being used and manipulated, he stood up to the system and appeared at "GRAND CONJUNCTION" to challenge the East coast don of the McMahon Junior Mafia family; Triple H. There, Bruno would learn his lightened schedule and lackluster opponents had actually led to a dulling of his skills. Triple H beat Bruno Sammartino, and hoped the loss would sap what self-confidence and pride da 'Brune had left. But it didn't. Bruno Sammartino picked up right where he left off - increased his training regimen to compete in Two-Thousand-and-Forever - and united with Pedro Morales to form the "Legends Guild". Their union was a rousing success, as the pair went on to challenge for the BCCW Tag Team titles at "AFTERMATH" and beat Gold Dust Trio Inc representatives Triple H and Strangler Lewis at "DOUBLE DOWN". Their victory kept them off the "DEEPER than WRESTLING" card, which incensed Sammartino further. At "DEEPER than WRESTLING", Sammartino and Morales interupted an in-ring announcement by the Gold Dust Trio Inc - only to be surprised by GDT Inc's newest signee DAVE BATISTA. Bruno Sammartino was forced to watch his friend and tag team partner Pedro Morales absolutely savaged at the hands of the Animal, and forced into retirement. The loss took a major toll on Sammartino, but out of hustle, loyalty and respect - he took to the ring one more time to face Batista in Hell-in-the-Cell at "ORIGIN of VIOLENCE". Although da 'Brune wasn't successful that night, his fiery dedication has proven to be a bane to the Gold Dust Trio Inc and their operations. A mighty and defiant force harnessed by the Cenation Immortals to bring about GDT Incs downfall once and for all. With an increased training regimen, coupled with the latest in scientific and athletic achievements, Bruno Sammartino may be in the best shape of his life. Gold Dust Trio Inc beware: da 'Brune is back for vengeance. And you know how long and hard old-school Italians can hold a grudge for... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At "GANG RULZ" - the Cenation Immortals will go head-to-head against Mister Mondt's "THINK TANK" in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. A victory will go along way towards defending their turf and staking their own claim to the fantasy wrestling universe - a place where the BCCW stage is the biggest, and grandest of them all. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ____________________________________________________________ CREDITS: HULK HOGAN: IGN Interview July 1, 2005 JOHN CENA: IGN Interview BRUNO SAMMARTINO: Lee Benaka interview, 1991

"Shooters Club Press Conference" Name: SHOOTERS CLUB Description: A purist is one who desires that an item remain true to its essence and free from adulterating or diluting influences. The term may be used in almost any field, and can be applied either to the self or to others. According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, the term dates from 1706 and is defined as "a person who adheres strictly and often excessively to a tradition", especially "one preoccupied with the purity of a tradition and its protection from the use of foreign or altered forms." The Shooters Club are these purists. Lou Thesz, Masahiko Kimura, Evan Bourne, Rocky Marciano & Jack Swagger Background: When the stars aligned and BCCW initially laid "The Broken City Throwdown" (inviting the toughest champions in wrestling history to duel), one man was already waiting - Masahiko Kimura. He is the greatest Japanese judoka of all time. In the ultimate show of respect and honor, in pro wrestling and MMA, In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the reverse ude-garami arm lock is often called the "Kimura", due to his famous victory over Gracie Jiu-Jitsu co-creator Hélio Gracie. Masahiko Kimura knew there was only one man in his sights; a blood enemy he had sworn eternal vengeance. He was patient and wise enough to bide his time, so in preparation for the big event at "RESPECT the HOOKERS & SHOOTERS", Kimura aligned himself with catch-as-catch-can expert Lou Thesz and helped coach the Undisputed champion to victory at the event. His opponent that night - Jack Swagger - was so impressed by their training camp and regimen, he humbly requested entry. So the arts of judo and American wrestling clashed on training mats daily, each sharpening the other to a deadly hone. At "CITY of CHAMPIONS", Masahiko Kimura knew his scrap was top-notch, so he emerged from the shadows and challenged his blood rival Rikidozan. The man who had publicly betrayed him in a pro wrestling match years before. Masahiko Kimura - founder of the Shooters Club philosophy - defeated Rikidozan and earned his revenge. Rikidozan was later found slain by Yakuza (related or not, we cannot speculate). This in turn, predictably drew the ire of Gold Dust Trio Inc - particularly The Grand Wizard. In a nod to the great Royce Gracie, Masahiko Kimura went on to defeat the gargantuan Abdullah the Butcher (himself an amateur martial artist with knowledge of judo and karate) in a shoot fight, despite being outweighed nearly 3 times at KNOW the LEDGE - further solidifying his "a good little man can always beat a good big man" philosophy, a message he sought to instill in others through his quest in BCCW. This victory brought him into title contention, and Masahiko Kimura challenged for the WWE title at "BEHIND the WALLS" in an 8-man Elimination Chamber match. He didn't win the match, but his performance earned him an Undisputed Championship match against champion (and Gold Dust Trio Inc henchmen) Desmond Wolfe at "GRAND CONJUNCTION". In a 5-star classic, Kimura fell to Wolfe after 20 minutes of action. In loss, Kimura knew something was missing - so he partnered with the aerial expert Evan Bourne. Another mutual partnership of learning and teaching. He helped coach Evan Bourne to a #1 Contender match against Desmond Wolfe at "AFTERMATH". Even though Bourne didn't win the match, the "Draw" he earned was proof enough the Shooters Club push for the title wasn't far off. Meanwhile, Kimura kept training. With his partners Lou Thesz & Jack Swagger (now BCCW Tag Team champions) and his star pupil Evan Bourne. But The Grand Wizard had come back for revenge, and earned it in bloody and horrifying fashion at "DOUBLE DOWN" when Kimura and Bourne were crushed by his Monstah Squad of Abdullah the Butcher and Bruiser Brody. Gold Dust Trio Inc thought they had Kimura and his Shooters Club on the ropes. At "DEEPER than WRESTLING" - in what was billed as a "Fight of the Century" - Masahiko Kimura took on Ed "Strangler" Lewis in one of BCCW's now-traditional matches: a shoot fight. For 30 minutes Judo fought Wrestling to a stalemate, while special referee Evan Bourne called the match down the middle. For his hubris, Evan Bourne was once again crushed by the Monstah Squad post match. Kimura was left to pick up the pieces. He returned to the gym to help train the Trustbusters (Thesz and Swagger) for their successful title defense at "ORIGIN of VIOLENCE". But as the next PPV ("GANG RULZ") approaches, Masahiko Kimura knows he needs one more ingredient to once again reach top contender status and prove to the world (via BCCW) that Kimura judo is the best. A new member to the esteemed fraternity, dojo and training camp. Masahiko Kimura (along with star pupil Evan Bourne) have arranged the following press conference to reveal this news: MEMBERS Founder: MASAHIKO KIMURA LOU THESZ ROCKY MARCIANO JACK SWAGGER EVAN BOURNE and introducing their new wrestling coach... Ladies & gentleman, we're live from the Marciano Fight Club in Brockton Massachusetts, where Masahiko Kimura and Evan Bourne will announce the newest addition to the BCCW Shooters Club. Pan to stage area, where Kimura and Bourne are seated at the head table, surrounded by mics and camereman. In the press row, dozens of reporters wielding laptops, pencils and tape recorders take notes. MASAHIKO KIMURA (on the importance of cross-training, and why he brought in this new training partner. Kimura judo is the best): There was a black boxer named T. He was a big man weighing about 100kg, and has won a pro title. He was the best boxer in the US Marine Corps. "I am no match to you in judo, but in boxing, you will never beat me." He boasted. One day I practiced boxing with him. Since I was trained in Karate, I thought "Even though I cannot kick as in karate, it is similar to karate. So, I would be OK." But the result was miserable. I took blows after blows. In a few minutes, my head started to "ring", and got knocked down. I also took a lot of body blows, and I was completely groggy. It was not even to be called a match since I closed my eyes even when his glove lightly passed in front of my eyes. This boxing practice was like a fight between an adult and a child. I covered my aching head and body, and thought, "If I did not know this type of fighting in addition to judo, I would not be able to defend myself from a danger." After this I asked him to give me boxing instruction twice a week. But the boxing "instruction" was a rough one in which I got only beaten up in a one-sided manner. One day, the state of taking so many blows really got to my nerves that I blocked his right punch with my left arm, lifted him up for Ippon-seoi and tried to slam him onto the mat. He then said "No Judo, no, no!" with a pathetic tone of voice. So, I took him down safely to the floor. This practice lasted for 1 year. Thanks to my effort, I became able to go 40-60 with him. Of course, I was the 40. EVAN BOURNE: For me the choice match at " GANG RULZ: will be us versus them. Shooters Club versus Gold Dust Trio Inc, once and for all. See, Shooters Club and the Cenation Immortals run side by side. If Cena wins, GDT Inc is over. A lot of the guys in BCCW are rooting for Cena because he is standing up for us and our brand, so we really hope he can win at " GANG RULZ". People are saying that Gold Dust Trio Inc. have been impressive, but I haven’t been that impressed with them. It’s not hard for a group of seven guys to make waves and until they achieve something individually, they’ll just be a gang of thugs!
Suddenly, there is a disturbance behind press row. A band of men have broken in through the back of the auditorium to disrupt the proceedings. One of the men begins shouting profanities at Kimura and Bourne, calling them "liars" and "cowards". His belligerence and anger confuse and startle the entire audience. He continues on his rant. Cameras finally focus in on the man, and it's none other than outlaw shootfighter Ken Shamrock!!! He besmirches Kimura's win over Helio Gracie and disrespects Kimura's legacy in the game! Ken Shamrock claims to have founded the UFC and brought MMA to America. Now he's here to overtake BCCW! KEN SHAMROCK: Kimura, you call yourself an "ultimate fighter???" I was at UFC 1!!! People didn’t know what to think. Before that event, people only saw things like that as entertainment, in places like the WWF. Teeth flew in the first fight of the night. That’s how you knew those guys were serious. Many of the fighters were untouched and uncoached. When I think of barbaric, that is mostly bashing heads with weapons. The sport was just really raw needed to be filtered and people had to be exposed to it in order to understand it. Mixed martial arts is on mainstream TV now. It has been accepted by masses. Lots of uneducated opinions in the early days of the sport led to false preaching about what MMA was. This sport has come a long way by people talking about it and seeing it and the perception has changed from barbaric to being accepted and very popular. The Ultimate Fighter is a concept out of my book from Japan! The UFC took my idea, put it on TV, and made it a show. If you are smart you show your skills and training, not how crazy and stupid you can be. With cameras in their faces, it can be so easy for guys to forget why they are there, in the house. The whole reason that they are selected is to improve themselves as fighters with best fighters in the world, to rub shoulders with some great coaches. The memorable guys on the show are all trying to get TV time. They really should be getting time with coaches who have been there, on the big stage. Evan Bourne, you're just like them... you're a made-for-TV pretty boy!!! MASAHIKO KIMURA (indignantly rising from his chair to confront Shamrock from across the room): Ken Shamrock, you wouldn't survive 5 minutes in the Japanese underground. In November 1945, all school judo was banned and in November 1946, Great Japan Butokukai got shut down permanently. On July 1, 1947, West Japan Judo championship was held in Fukuoka. I beat Yasuichi Matsumoto in the final and won the championship. On March 15, 1948, Kyushu vs Kansai championship was held in Fukuoka. In the final of the individual tournament, I faced Yasuichi Matsumoto again. I threw him by my original Ippon-seoi in which both arms of the opponent are locked. His arm broke making a snapping sound, and he flew out of the platform. KEN SHAMROCK (turning his nose up, and condescendingly mocking Kimura's style): I started out as a wrestler. I began doing peewee wrestling and then high school wrestling. When I got older, I switched and began training lots of different styles: Kempo, karate, boxing, and kickboxing to name a few. My foundation comes from wrestling, and if I find myself in a pinch, I go to my takedowns. I feel most comfortable on the ground; I feel that I am at my best on the ground. Evan Bourne - you little peewee midget, I'm gonna snatch you out of the sky, bring you down to the ground and BREAK YOUR ANKLE!!! EVAN BOURNE: I always turn any disadvantage into an advantage, and being a smaller competitor opens up variables that other wrestlers don’t have. I can duck and dive, zig and zag and come off the top rope and do more damage than some of the bigger guys can. What’s great about the BCCW is that there is no cookie-cutter image of how a wrestler should look nowadays. I’m just a regular guy who got my nose down, worked hard and became a star! KEN SHAMROCK: Being 1st UFC Superfight champion (against legend and fellow UFC-Hall of Famer Royce Gracie). That is something that will never change! Lots of other records may fall, but that is something that will never change, the first Superfight champion. Behind Ken Shamrock, Ed "Strangler" Lewis and Desmond Wolfe have appeared - chuckling and rubbing their hands together maliciously. As additional security move in to keep the men from across the auditorium from each other, it is clear to see who has paved the way for Ken Shamrock's public outburst today: Ed Lewis and the Gold Dust Trio Inc. DESMOND WOLFE: I love that now I can go to BCCW and a lot of the fans haven't seen too much of my stuff, haven't seen that much of my style, so it's all new to me. I don't have to prostitute a lot of my moves, and, you know, I've developed a move set, and that's arguably one of the best things about Broken City Championship Wrestling, is that you really have to genuinely establish a move set that's different to everywhere else, and different to everyone else as well. You can't just go out there and go, 'This is my finisher and I do arm-drags,' because no one is gonna take that in BCCW, they want to see something different. They want to see a style, they want to see a move set they're not gonna see anywhere else, so to be good you have to establish that move set there. And then when you take that to somewhere else, where an extensive move set isn't quite so important, then that gives you a lot more longevity than a lot of the other wrestlers. Evan Bourne, your days are numbered! We're shutting down the Shooters Club!!! Suddenly, Strangler Lewis shoves away a member of the massing security patrol. The 3 GDT Inc reps (Strangler, Shamrock & Wolfe) start to advance through the line into the press box! Chaos begins to unfold, as reporters and press agents scramble to get out of their way. Security and folding chairs tumble and collapse as the 3 men make their way toward the stage, where Kimura and Bourne have risen to face them. EVAN BOURNE: I've been training with Kimura now for a year. A year is a long time but I can tell you what I hope to achieve in a few months time and that’s wow the fans across BCCW. I hope I can give them the great show they deserve and impress them every single night. I’m not a guy who is looking to pick fights, I just want to earn the fans’ respect and make them remember that I’m exciting, I’m innovative and I’m Evan ‘Air’ Bourne! Suddenly, Evan Bourne springs up on the table and unleashes a lightning-fast shooting star press onto the 3 men who have advanced through the crowd to the stage area! Chaos! Bodies pitch and collapse, cameras are knocked over. Security is everywhere! Just then, from somewhere off camera a massive figure in a grey sweatshirt plows his way through the crowd toward the center of fracas. He is noticeably bigger than the security guards and press row reporters he scatters aside like jellybeans. He begins throwing security around until he reaches Evan Bourne and pulls him to safety. An irate Ken Shamrock is wilding out, flailing away - until he eats a stiff shove from the man in the gray sweatshirt that sends Shamrock backwards over a row of chairs! Action desists as Lewis and Wolfe help Shamrock back to his feet, all three of them looking on in shock and rage at the man in the gray shirt (who is now standing beside Kimura and Bourne, a wall of security between both parties). His sweat shirt reads "Shooters Club". Introducing DAN "THE BEAST" SEVERN!!! DAN SEVERN: Cut it out! Knock it off! Not right now, not right here! Shamrock, you're still a maniac. To this day I've never called myself a fighter. I'm a competitor who tries to find the nicest way to terrorize someone in a not-so-nice sport. Who really wins when two people truly fight? No one. Yet so many people only think of me as a fighter, and that is such a small portion of who I am and what I'm about. And that is why I have officially joined Masahiko Kimura and the Shooters Club!!! A cheer rises through the auditorium, only serving to enrage Shamrock further. KEN SHAMROCK: American Grappling is a concept I came up with! So much Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Kimura's judo favors those who score first and then stall. If you get ahead, you should try to finish the fight. Bjj can be boring due to all of the stalling. This concept (American Grappling Association) rewards guys who try to finish the fight and advance position. American Grappling is for all styles; sambo, freestyle, Greco-Roman, judo, etc. If you get ahead you could lose the match in AGA if you stall by giving the other guy a chance to score more points and steal the match away. The whole idea is to take away stalling make grappling exciting. No matter the style that a grappler uses, he can take that style and compete against other styles and still win if he executes a good gameplan. And that's the exact game plan I will bring to Gold Dust Trio Inc!!! DAN SEVERN: Well I made a few phone calls and wrote some emails to BCCW. I can make these matches happen anywhere though. Steel cage? Training center in front of only coaches and sparring partners? Right here? Well let me lay it down for you fellas like this - Shooters Club versus Gold Dust Trio Inc - submissions only match - "GANG RULZ"!!! Most of all, I want fans to remember me as a fierce competitor inside the cage and as a gentleman and a scholar outside of the cage. All things the Shooters Club espouses and represents. Ken Shamrock, Ed, Desmond... you men have no honor! The battle lines have been drawn! Class, dedication and humble dignity versus brash, classless and boorish. Honor and respect versus violent disrespect. Shooters Club versus Gold Dust Trio Inc at "GANG RULZ" in a 6-man Submissions Only tag match! Kimura and Strangler Lewis captain teams of cripplers and shooters in a match made to determine the best pure style in BCCW today! Is it Kimura judo? Strangler wrestling? American grappling? Aerodynamics? Tune in to BCCW "GANG RULZ" to find out!!!
