AEW Dynamite
September 27, 2019
Live from the TD Garden Arena in Boston, MA
AEW Dynamite opens up to an impressive pyro display on the stage and above the ring. We pan to a shot of the live crowd holding various signs like “Sting > Kenny” and “Villain Club.” We head ringside to Don Callis and Kevin Kelly who begin to recap last weeks shocking ending of Dynamite.
Kevin Kelly: Welcome to Dynamite! What a line-up we have for you tonight! In our main event, Adam Page will go one on one with the AEW World Champion, Killer Kross. We will also hear from E.N.D. who have requested air time tonight. But first, we are going to kick things off with tag team action. Let's head to the ring!
Match 1
Jurassic Express v. oVe
In a fun opening contest, the dastardly team of oVe spent the majority of the match attempting to counter the athleticism and energy of the mesozoic team of Jurassic Express. The ending of the match saw Luchasaurus take down Dave Crist with a huge chokeslam followed by a moonsault for the victory.
Winners: Jurassic Express by pinfall
Logan Shulo is standing backstage. He says that the time is drawing nigh and that Mark Henry should be ready to take notes. He says that Tommasso Ciampa and Drew McIntyre are desparately seeking the spotlight. Shulo says that he’s the one who controls said spotlight and come Fight for the Fallen, he’s going to leave Ciampa and McIntyre in the dark as he ascends to Godlike status in AEW.
Next, we see “Hangman” Adam Page standing backstage. He says that he loves pro wrestling and he loves AEW. He says tonight, in the main event, he’s going to go one on one with the AEW World Champion Killer Kross. Page states that he knows the odds are against him, but nonetheless, he cannot wait to punch Killer Kross’s teeth down his throat.
Match 2
Jordynne Grace v. Io Shirai
In a very competitive match, Jordynne Grace was able to roll out of the way when Shirai attempted her patented moonsault. From that point, Jordynne was able to get ahold of Shirai and nail the Fall From Grace.
Winner: Jordynne Grace by pinfall
COMMERCIAL BREAK
“Wow, congratulations to Jordynne Grace on winning her match tonight. And what a hard fought contest! Make no mistake about it. My name is Tessa Blanchard. My name carries respect with me everywhere I go. And I’ll be damned if some pathetic rookie like Jordynne Grace takes MY AEW Women’s Championship away from me. What’s wrong, Jordynne? Am I being too mean? Or maybe that’s your depression getting the best of you. Hell, I’d be depressed if I were you. Seeing a fat loser staring back at me in the mirror every morning would make me depressed too! There’s no room in AEW for someone like you, Jordynne Grace. This company is built on the idea of having only the most elite featured. And sweetie, you’re definitely not elite. I’m going to prove just that. See you at Fight for the Fallen, you pathetic cow.”
Match 3
PCO and Brody King v. Forgotten Sons (Cutler & Blake)
In a battle of brutes, PCO and Brody King was able to overcome the Forgotten Sons when PCO hit the “PCO-Sault” for the victory.
Winners: PCO and Brody King
COMMERCIAL BREAK
We come back from commercial where the former tag team champions, the Good Brothers, are standing. They say that they feel cold and naked without the AEW tag team titles. They mention that the Kross Kult is making a lot of enemies lately and that they can add the Good Brothers to that list. They vow revenge against PCO and Brody King at Fight for the Fallen.
Match 4
Joey Ryan v. Ace Romero
In this contest, we saw Joey Ryan get dominated for a majority of the time by the big man Ace Romero. Romero was able to use all of his four-hundred pounds to deliver massive offense against Ryan. During the match, the ref took a bump after getting squashed in the corner which led to Joey Ryan incapacitating Romero with a steel chair. As Romero was knocked out, Joey Ryan led the count in a dramatic “Ten Count” hyping his Last Man Standing match with Marty Scurll at Fight for the Fallen. The referee recovered and Ryan got the cheap win.
Winner: Joey Ryan by pinfall
We see Equal Nation Devastation standing backstage. Xavier has the mic. He says he finds it ironic that somehow E.N.D. has been fading back into obscurity. Xavier poses the question - “Does it take violence to get noticed around here? Seems like it works for Kross. Maybe we should do the same.” E.N.D. walks off leaving the fans in the arena feeling unnerved.
Match 5
Killer Kross v. “Hangman” Adam Page
Despite an incredibly valiant effort from Hangman, Killer Kross was victorious in this match around the twelve minute mark after nailing the Doomsday Saito. After the match, Kross grabbed the mic.
“Am I supposed to be scared or intimidated by Daniel Bryan? Am I supposed to be cowering behind MY AEW World Championship, holding on to it for dear life out of sheer desperation and panic? You people fail to understand where I come from, what I’m capable of - who I am. Do I have to remind you that I forced retirement upon William Goldberg? Or how I ran off your precious Cody Runnels and his slutty wife to another company? A wise man once said that I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear. The fact is that Daniel Bryan’s mind is NOT made up, hence the reason HE is the one cowering.
You see, the cheers and adoration of an audience is what fuels Daniel Bryan. He craves the spotlight. He loves attention, just like each and every one of you who are addicted to your cell phones. You take pictures of yourself or your dinner and post it online, seeking the approval of others because you do not approve of yourself. You all know you can do better with life, and yet you settle for mediocrity, just like Daniel Bryan.
I am the champion of All Elite Wrestling. I am the champion because my mind knows no limitations. My fear is non-existent. I am fear. And you know what? Daniel Bryan is going to learn the hard way when I defeat him one...two...three and retain this title. Sting is going to learn the hard way when my good friend Kenny defeats him in the middle of this ring one...two...three. Your precious Good Brothers are going to learn the hard way when PCO and King defeat them one...two….three.
And in the end, the Kross Kult will continue their reign of domination over AEW forthwith...and forevermore.”
Kross drops the mic and holds up his champion high and proud. Boos fill the arena until….
DANIEL BRYAN! Bryan has knocked out Killer Kross and the crowd is going wild.
“The only thing that’s going to happen at Fight for the Fallen is the Kross Kult being taken out once and for all because, Kross, make no mistake - the show is going to go off the air only ONE way...and that is hearing the announcer declare….AND NEEEEWWW AEW World Champion...DANIEL...BRYAN!”
Bryan throws the mic down and begins posing “YES! YES! YES!” The fans leave happy and our next stop - Fight for the Fallen.
