Matt Striker and Vampiro exit Antonio Cueto’s office. Vampiro says to Striker that it was a good meeting. Striker is excited about tonight’s card and asks Vampiro if he has any idea who the mystery luchador is in the main event. He says he has no clue. Then, Striker asks Vampiro if he would like him to pick him up a pho sandwich at the Vietnamese place just down the road. He says that would be great, so Striker heads off to grab them some takeout before tonight’s show. Vampiro turns and walks the other way.
As soon Vampiro sits down at the commentary table to test the broadcast equipment, he has his face slammed hard into the table, instantly busting his nose open. He screams in agony as he’s thrown to the floor. It’s Pentagon DARK. He kicks Vampiro a few times and then gets him in place for The Sacrifice. Pentagon tells Vampiro that he has an important message he wants him to send to Freddie Blassie and to his Prizefighter, Kevin Owens. He wants Vampiro to tell them that he’s coming for them because he’s Pentagon DARK and he has CERO MIEDO! Then, he snaps Vampiro’s arm like a twig!

FIRST ROUND MATCH IN THE DARIO CUETO LUCHADORES CUP TOURNAMENT
Aero Star vs. Will Ospreay vs. Cheeseburger vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage
“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Aero Star, Will Ospreay and Cheeseburger by pinfall. By winning, the Lucha Underground Champion becomes the first luchador to advance to the round of eight. He had an impressive challenge from one of the Trios Champions, the on-the-rise Aerial Assassin, and everyone’s favourite underdog. The champion had a clear target on his back, and it showed in the early goings. Ospreay used his educated feet to strike Savage painful blows, including a dropkick, a superkick, a roundhouse, and a Marufuji hook. He also popped the Believers by going over the top rope with a Sasuke Special on him. Aero Star added to Savage’s misery with a double-jump springboard tope con hilo. After Savage was disposed of, the alliance among the other luchadores quickly fell apart. They began to attack each other. Cheeseburger got Ospreay with a shotei palm strike that nearly won him the match. Aero Star broke up the pinfall and took him down with a double spinning headscissors transitioned into a tornado DDT. Ospreay broke up the pinfall with a standing shooting star press before giving Aero Star the Pip Pip Cheerio. His pinfall was broken up by the Macho King, who returned to the ring and gave Ospreay a hairpull hangman, then pulled him out of the ring and hip tossed him into the second row of wooden chairs at ringside. Savage returned to the ring and clotheslined Aero Star over the top rope before giving Cheeseburger a sit-out piledriver and his patented diving elbow drop to get the win.

FIRST ROUND MATCH IN THE DARIO CUETO LUCHADORES CUP TOURNAMENT
Johnny Mundo vs. Mascarita Sagrada vs. Kevin Owens vs. Son of Havoc
Kevin Owens defeated Johnny Mundo, Mascarita Sagrada and Son of Havoc by pinfall to move onto the second round. Owens was rough and violent with his offense and he took great delight in beating up on the mini luchador, Mascarita Sagrada. Owens threw him around the ring with big hip tosses, gave him running senton bombs, and a cannonball in the corner. Son of Havoc came to Sagrada’s defense and formed a makeshift alliance with him in the match. After Havoc hit Owens with a succession of maneuvers that led to him falling out of the ring, he and Sagrada gave Mundo a variety of double-team maneuvers. This continued until Owens tripped Sagrada, pulled him out of the ring and threw him hard into the retained wall of a section of the high-rise bleachers. Sagrada was effectively removed from the match at that point. Havoc had a hot moment when he performed a handspring over-the-top rope corkscrew moonsault on Owens, then climbed the top rope and landed a shooting star press on Mundo. It looked like he would get the win, but Mundo got a hand on the bottom rope. The match continued for another few minutes with everyone getting their shots in. Eventually, Mundo took the momentum and gave Havoc the moonlight drive and then starship pain. He covered him, but Owens grabbed his foot and yanked him off. Once Mundo was on his feet and turned around, he got a kick to the midsection and a stunner that knocked him out. Owens pinned him for the 3-count and showed once again why “Classy” Freddie Blassie considers him the one true Prizefighter of Lucha Underground!

A lone beam of blue light descends into a dark room. Into that light steps the Ultimate Warrior. He flexes his muscles while looking down at his hands as he forms fists and then opens them, palms facing upwards. He slowly tilts his head up and looks into the light. He speaks towards the light, saying that he has failed in his mission to acquire the Gauntlet of the Gods, meaning that he has failed all the Warriors of the galaxy. The voice returning from the light says that he has not failed until he has been eliminated by one of the humans, so he must continue on this mission. The Ultimate Warrior asks for guidance. The voice returning from the light tells him that he has done an admirable job of earning Antonio Cueto’s trust. If he is to continue along that path, he will earn enough trust to find an opportunity to get the Gauntlet of the Gods. He thanks the voice for his valuable wisdom and then steps out of the blue light and into the darkness.

FIRST ROUND MATCH IN THE DARIO CUETO LUCHADORES CUP TOURNAMENT
Juventud Guerrera vs. Mil Muertes vs. Mike Awesome vs. Dragon Rojo
Mil Muertes defeated Juventud Guerrera, Mike Awesome and Dragon Rojo by pinfall to advance to the semi-finals. This match showed big power in Mil Muertes and Awesome as well as speed and high-flying prowess in Guerrera and Rojo. The two larger men used their power liberally to throw their opponents all around the ring and outside of it. Guerrera and Rojo used their speed and willingness to take flight to knock their larger opponents down at every chance they could get. The real highlight of the match, though, was when the two big luchadores threw down in the middle of the ring. The sound from the impact of their blows was deafening. And the impact they made when they both took the air was also enormous. At one point, Awesome dove onto everyone with an over-the-top-rope tope suicida. At another, it was Mil Muertes diving on everyone out on the floor with a plancha from the top turnbuckle. In the end, it came down to the two big men. Awesome gave Dragon Rojo an Awesome Bomb and Mil Muertes gave Guerrera a 180-degree chokeslam. With them both out of the picture, Awesome went for a diving clothesline from the top rope. Mil Muertes moved out of the way and took Awesome down with the Reaper’s Trident as soon as he was back to his feet. Then, he gave Awesome the Flatliner and pinned him to get the decisive victory.

FIRST ROUND MATCH IN THE DARIO CUETO LUCHADORES CUP TOURNAMENT
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Dragon Lee vs. El Hijo del Fantasma vs. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns defeated Rey Mysterio Jr., Dragon Lee and El Hijo del Fantasma by pinfall to win his first match in the Temple, and to advance to the semi-finals. It looked like it would be a field full of exciting luchadores whose bread and butter was lucha libre, but then Reigns was the surprise final entrant in the match. The other luchadores could not have been prepared for his brand of offense. There were multiple Superman Punches and Drive-Byes for everyone. He also gave everyone several clotheslines when they were trapped in the corner. Despite his presence, there was plenty of traditional lucha libre on display in this match, and Reigns wasn’t always in the driver’s seat. Reigns was taken out for a couple of minutes after Dragon Lee leapt over the top rope and took him off the ring apron and to the floor with a hurricanrana. Then, Fantasma knocked him down again with a tope suicida. In the end, Reigns would conquer his competition. After Dragon Lee gave Fantasma the Dragon Drive, Mysterio broke up the pinfall with a springboard splash. When they both got up, Reigns ran through them both with a double spear! Then, he waited for Fantasma to get back to his feet so he could also give him a spear. Having speared all his competition, Reigns pinned Fantasma to get the win.

We go inside a large open concept law enforcement office. On the far wall, we see the words, “FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION” clearly marked on the wall. In the centre of it all, there is an agent doing some paperwork to close a file. Another criminal has been put behind bars. As he shuts the dossier and sets it aside in a bin of completed files, another agent stops by and tells him that the chief wants to speak with him right away. He gets up and moves his way through the maze of desks and cubicles until he arrives at a door with a frosted glass window pane. The lettering on it simply says, “Division Chief of the Pacific Region.” He knocks and identifies himself as, “Agent Adeel Alam.” He is buzzed in. Then, we see the Chief. It’s Arnold Schwarzenegger!
Chief Schwarzenegger tells Alam that he has a new assignment for him. He says that the FBI is taking over the murder investigation of Los Angeles area underground fight club promoter based out of Boyle Heights named Dario Cueto. He says that the LAPD had been on the case but it can’t find any leads, so it has asked for assistance from the feds. He tells Alam that he has been handpicked for the job because he knows he has training in fighting arts, and more specifically the particular art of fighting housed in the underground fight club that was run by Cueto – lucha libre. Alam confirms that he does. Schwarzenegger tells him that he’ll go under the alias “Mustafa Ali,” and he needs to get himself into ring shape right away because he’s sending him into the field in one week.
