"We have a new TV champion and his name is WALTER!"
The show is kicked off with a recap of July 9th's edition of Hardcore TV, where WALTER came and made his monstrous debut and went and became the first ever ECW TV Champion. Tony Schiavone and Joel Gertner go over this show, mentioning Joey Janela's Bad Boy Championship Celebration as well as the advertised debut of international superstar Rush, who laid down the challenge to Jimmy Havoc and Paul Robinson with a mystery partner. Before the duo can continue anymore they are interupted by the theme song of Myron Reed, signalling it's time to start the action.
Myron Reed vs. Darby Allin
Straight off the gate this is a fast paced match. Both Allin and Reed's in-ring styles compliment each other as you can see as the match progresses on and on. Reed at a few points hits Darby with some brutal moves, but none of them have been enough to take Allin out. Some way through the match, Reed shows his frustration by lashing out at the referee and telling him to count faster. However, every time he argues to the ref it just simply allows Allin to come back on offense and fight Reed off. After Reed hit a double foot stomp to Allin for a two count that just missed the hand slapping the mat for three, Reed yells and shoves the referee. After his tantrum is over he turns right around into a Coffin Drop from Darby for a three count. After Allin has long celebrated his victory and left to the back, an angry Reed got up and superkicked the ref to a loud amount of boos!
Brian Pillman Jr (w/ Hart Foundation) vs. WALTER
The new TV Champion WALTER doesn't hold back tonight, as this is his second match here in ECW. Despite Pillman having his father, Teddy Hart, and Davey Boy Smith Jr he could only use surges of impact to only stun WALTER, not take him down. Pillman Jr used all the distractions he could get from his family; but none of it was good enough to stop WALTER. After WALTER caught a top rope axe handle with a lariat, he picked up Pillman Jr and folded him with a powerbomb that Teddy Hart insisted to the others to just stand there and watch. After that powerbomb, WALTER picked up Pillman Jr for another to solidify his mean streak, ending the match right then and there.
That wasn't it, because The Foundation instantly stormed the ring. At first the 3 on 1 beatdown was hard for WALTER; but he broke out of it. WALTER threw wild rights and lefts at all three. WALTER knocked Pillman Sr out the ring, then Teddy Hart. The only person who gave WALTER a hard enough challenge was Davey Boy Smith Jr but WALTER broke from his grasps and clotheslined him out the ring. WALTER saw Brian Pillman Jr getting up and lifted him up and gorilla press slammed one half of the ECW Tag Team Champions and tossed him out onto the rest of the faction.
WALTER picked up his belt and raised it in celebration, but suddenly he was turned around by none other than Baron Corbin, who managed to get the big guy up and knock him down with the End of Days! The fans booed Corbin loudly who just gave off an evil grin and dusted his hands off. Corbin said a few words to WALTER who was down on the ground then picked up the TV Belt and posed with it.
Rush and vs. Jimmy Havoc and Paul Robinson
Before the match starts, Rush comes out alone, holding a microphone. Rush tells Havoc and Robinson since his "connections" are such international stars that they were needed for another flight across the globe today, and they won't be here until next week. Rush nods to the two in the ring that are absolutely livid and unhappy. Rush turns to go to the back but suddenly a man in a mask and a suit attacks Havoc and Robinson from behind! Suddenly, Rush turns around and starts heading to the ring.
Rush and the masked man throw Havoc out the ring and start beating down on the smaller Paul Robinson. Rush signals to the masked man and he takes off his mask, revealing to be Tetsuya Naito! The crowd has gotten louder suddenly as the Japanese sensation and charismatic wrestler has found his way to the land of the extreme. The match starts as soon as Rush steps out, and Naito and Rush tag in and out; completely teaming on Robinson.
Rush grabs Robinson and drills his head in the mat with his patented Rush Driver; then immediately tags out to Tetsuya Naito who gets in and pulls up the helpless Paul Robinson to nail him with the Destino. Naito gets up and puts his foot on Robinson, posing for the three count. The Ingobernables celebrate in the ring, raising their fists up to each other.
After Schiavone and Gertner talk about what just happened and the impact Los Ingobernables could have in ECW, Gertner reminds Schiavone that it is time for the Bad Boy Championship Celebration! Joey Janela comes down to the ring with the ECW World Championship, the ring already decked out and decorated for Janela. Janela grabs a microphone and goes on about how he's proud to be the ECW World Champion and he's dreamed of this moment since he was a little kid.
Janela reminisces on the days where he'd watch ECW weekly, and now it's him that's leading the charge and is on top of this company. Janela then proclaims that this celebration isn't just for him but it is for each and every one of you people that have supported him since day one. Janela reminds he is The Bad Boy and he is a little risky so how about we get this party going?
Before Janela can do anything further, he's interrupted by the annoying voice of Simon Gotch. Gotch tells Janela this is fun and all but he is far from a real champ. Janela questions Gotch with "What makes you even better of a champ yourself?" Gotch chuckles at that question and agrees with Janela. Gotch isn't fit to be champion, but he knows someone who is. Suddenly the lights blow out and you can hear fighting going on in the ring. The lights come back on and it's Josef Samael and Jacob Fatu beating up Joey Janela in the ring.
Gotch walks down and steps in the ring, saying some words to Janela and mocks him. Fatu picks up Janela and hits him with a Pop up Samoan Drop. The three continue to beat down on Janela, then Fatu climbs to the top rope to hit this thing of beauty!
Gotch says he's not just putting Janela on notice, but he's putting the entire ECW roster on notice. One way or another they're going to have to look out for Contra Unit whether they like it or not, because they're taking over. Gotch drops the mic, and stands there with Samael and Fatu.
