The show opens to the sight and sound of a toaster popping. A hand grabs the two slices of toast, puts them on a plate and then spread some strawberry jam on them. Within the next few seconds, some bacon strips, sausage links, and scrambled eggs are placed on the plate. The hand grabs the plate and removes it from the counter. Next we see Matt Striker sit down at a kitchen island with his plate of food. He turns a small television on and flips the channel to the local morning news. The lead story is that of the death of a man in Boyle Heights that is being investigated as a homicide. The man is identified as Dario Cueto.
Striker’s jaw drops. He immediately grabs a phone and calls Vampiro to ask if he’s heard the news. Vampiro’s voice is heard confirming that he just saw the news report. Striker wonders what will happen when they go in to work today. After all, there is lucha scheduled for tonight! Vampiro says he has no clue, but they should go in anyway and see what happens.

The show begins with Matt Striker and Vampiro discussing the uncertainty surrounding tonight’s event. They mention the passing of Dario Cueto speculate about what that could mean for tonight’s show, which was only half-booked before first bell. Then, an old man who resembles Dario Cueto arrives on the scene with a microphone in hand. He enters the ring and reveals to the Believers that he is Antonio Cueto, the father of Dario and Matanza. He also tells the Believers about the untimely death of his son and says that he will personally see to it that whoever is responsible for his death is made to pay with his life. After mentioning this, Antonio says that he will now takeover the managing duties of the Temple to make sure that what his beloved son has started will not with him. Then, he urges Melissa Santos to come to the ring to introduce tonight’s first lucha, before leaving the ring and entering the office that used to belong to Dario Cueto.

“Sensational Queen” Sherri comes to the ring and gives us a stunning introduction, full of superlatives, to the new Lucha Underground Champion, “Macho King” Randy Savage! The “Macho King” comes to the ring, with his championship around his waste, one of his fabulous sequin capes tied around his neck, his golden crown atop his head, and his royal sceptre in hand. When he hits the ring, he cuts a promo stating that he winning this championship is proof that he is the one true king of lucha libre and any other luchador or luchadora claiming to be lucha royalty is a scam artist that will be exposed as the fraud they are by the “Macho King” himself.
This brings out Rey Mysterio Jr. He challenges the “Macho King” on this point, saying that true lucha libre royalty wouldn’t need weapons nor outside interference to prove they are the best. Because this is what the “Macho King” relies upon, he is the fraud who sullies both the crown and the championship he wears. Savage takes offense to this. He brings up recent matches with the two of them as opponents and says that his victories are proof of his superiority. Mysterio challenges him to prove that he is worthy by defeating him one-on-one, without foreign objects or outside interference. Antonio Cueto exits the office, hearing the challenge and says it is a match he wants to see, so we get our main event.

LUCHA UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage w/ “Sensational Queen” Sherri
“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. After only 4-minutes of action, Mysterio found himself in position to win the match when he slipped free of a vertical suplex attempt and dropkicked Savage in the back, sending him falling into the ropes, where he was able to connect with a 6-1-9. Mysterio then stood on the ring apron poised to go for the finish, but when Savage started getting up, Mysterio struggled to take flight.
As it turned out, Sensational Queen Sherri had grabbed hold of both of Mysterio’s legs and pulled down on them to prevent him getting lift off. Mysterio struggled to shake free of Sherri’s grip, leaving him open to getting a running forearm smash to the side of the head, sending him falling down to the floor. Seeing what happened, senior referee Marty Elias banned Sherri from ringside. Naturally, she screamed and threw a big fit. Meanwhile, Savage took control during a brawl around ringside.
Later on, around the 16-minute mark, Mysterio side stepped a diving double axehandle smash attempt, and then hit Savage with an enzuigiri kick, which he followed up with some titl-a-whirl headscissors that sent Savage into the ropes. Again, Mysterio executed the 6-1-9. This time, there was no one to hold him down. However, when he leapt up to springboard off the top rope, Savage grabbed hold of Marty Elias and brought him into Mysterio’s path so that he would take the full brunt of Mysterio’s springboard seated senton. As soon as Mysterio popped up to his feet, Savage took him down with a running pointed-elbow smash to the forehead and then gave him a sit-out piledriver. He climbed the turnbuckle, pointed to the sky, and executed the diving elbow drop. Then, he revived Marty Elias and got him to count the pinfall. 1…..2…..3!

We open to a panoramic view of the Hawaiian Islands. Then, we happen upon a shot of a beachfront estate called Robin’s Nest. A car pulls up next to the estate. A woman gets out and walks up to the door of the estate. She knocks, but no one answers. She knocks again, then pokes her head through a window and shouts, “Excuse me!” She notices the doorbell and rings it while shouting, “I said ‘EXCUSE ME!’” Finally, a man wearing a Hawaiian floral print shirt and a Detroit Tigers ballcap answers the door. The woman asks if he is the private investigator. He asks who wants to know. She identifies herself as Vickie Guerrero. He asks what she wants. She says she has come all the way from the mainland United States with a missing person’s case that she thinks will be of great interest to him. He wants to know why she thinks that. She tells him it involves an underground fight club that contains within it the mystical powers of the Ancient Aztec Tribes. He says he’s definitely interest and tells her to come in. As she enters, she asks him if she has his name, Magnum P.I., right. He tells her it’s T.A.
