AEW Dynamite
May 30, 2019
Live from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado
The scene opens up with the AEW Dynamite theme song playing in the background. A huge pyrotechnic display shoots off around the ring and on the stage as the fans in attendance are wild and ready for action! We see various signs in the crowd such as “Pharaoh for Champ” and “Cage is God.”
We waste no time as the music of the one and only Kenny Omega hits the PA system!
The Best Bout Machine looks confident as the crowd goes wild. He walks to the ring and grabs a mic. After several moments of soaking in the adoration from the crowd, Kenny begins to speak.
“KENNY OMEGA IS ALL...ELITE!”
The crowd continues to go wild for Omega as he soaks in the “KENNY” chants.
“So many questions lingering, even I have questions but hopefully soon, and very soon, we will get the answers that we all desire. So let’s cut to the chase. Killer Kross thinks he can run roughshod over this roster, asserting his dominance on anyone and everyone. Times have changed and oh, how sweet it is!”
Kenny smiles as the crowd chants “KENNY.” Omega nods out of respect and continues with his words.
“This company was founded on---”
Suddenly the lights in the arena begin to dim as Kenny turns his attention to the big screen.
“Hello, Kenneth. Nice of you to show up. And what an honorable thing it is to emerge in the midst of your friends falling one by one. Sadly, it is too late.”
Kross begins to laugh maniacally as Omega looks on, confused.
“The water has been poisoned, Kenneth. Your heroic tendencies have already failed. Your friends have been hurt and your attempt at stoicism on their behalf is inauthentic at best. You are just like them - weak, egotistical, and pathetic. Don’t believe me?”
Kenny stretches his arms out indicating he’s ready for a fight. Suddenly…
PCO and Brody King have filled the ring and Kenny is unaware! Kross yells from the screen.
“You are NOTHING!”
On cue, PCO and Brody King begin viciously assaulting Kenny Omega! The crowd begins to rain down boos on the Kross Kult as Kenny is defenseless. Suddenly, the all-too familiar music of CODY HITS THE ARENA!
“HE’S BAAAAACK!”
PCO and Brody King stop dead in their tracks as Cody appears on the stage!
The crowd goes wild! Cody makes a beeline for the ring as PCO and Brody King quickly retreat. The announcers hype up the return of Cody as he checks on his friend Kenny Omega in the ring. Kenny slowly recovers as Cody stares down the Kross Kult. We go to commercial break.

MCMG v Young Bucks
Both teams being popular with the fans gets the crowd hyped up. As the bell sounds, it’s Matt Jackson and Alex Shelley starting things off. High octane is the best phrase to describe the action these two men deliver. After a flurry of offense from Shelley including an enziguri, top rope crossbody and running dropkick, it’s a huge SUPERKICK that knocks Shelley down. Both men tag in their respective partners as Nick Jackson and Chris Sabin come into the ring for battle. After a dazzling sequence of moves from both competitors, Sabin gets the advantage with a hesitation dropkick in the corner. As Sabin moves in for the finish, Nick is quick enough to regain his composure. On the outside, Matt Jackson pulls Shelley off the ring apron. The Young Bucks deliver a hellacious Meltzer Driver on Chris Sabin! 1….2….3! The Young Bucks pick up the win at 10:36.
After the match, Dave and Jake Crist rush down the ramp and begin laying waste to The Young Bucks. Sami Callihan barks orders at the Crists, who incapacitate the Young Bucks. Match 2
Alberto Del Rio v. Ace Romero
Both men lock up and it’s Acey with the big power advantage, shoving Del Rio down to the mat. The crowd is firmly behind the big man as Del Rio grows frustrated. Del Rio attempts to use his quickness to his advantage, but it doesn’t stop Ace Romero who continues using defense as the best offense, absorbing Del Rio’s blows. Del Rio manages to ground the big man and works the arm, trying to set up for the armbar. Romero shrugs it off and hits a huge splash on Del Rio! 1….2….near fall! Both men continue to struggle to gain the advantage in the match but the tides begin to turn when Romero hits a running avalanche to Del Rio in the corner. As Del Rio stumbles out of the corner, Ace hits the ropes and runs right into Del Rio with a huge POUNCE! Romero collapses on Del Rio out of exhaustion and the referee counts 1…..2…..3! A HUGE upset tonight as Ace Romero defeats Alberto Del Rio at 11:04.
Accompanied by an acoustic guitar track (in E minor, of course) the image above flashes on the screen with the words “COMING SOON” as the fans in attendance cheer.
Match 3
Matt Morgan v. MJF
Both men are in the ring as the bell sounds. As Matt Morgan closes in on MJF, MJF demands the referee to tell Morgan to stay back while he ties the strings on his ring boot. This stalling tactic gets under the skin of the crowd as Morgan stands there telling the referee to smarten up. MJF stands back up and we’re officially underway. Matt Morgan attempts a wild clothesline on MJF who ducks. As Morgan turns back around, MJF stomps on Morgan’s foot which causes the big man to hunch over. MJF pokes the eye of Morgan and continues to try to gain the advantage. Morgan fires back with a flurry of rights and lefts followed by a big scoop slam and leg drop. Morgan’s fired up as he continues laying into MJF. MJF attempts to mount a comeback but it’s not enough as Morgan nails the Hellevator on MJF! 1….2….3! Morgan pulls off the win at 6:54.
After the match, Matt Morgan slaps hands with the fans as Kevin Kelly and Don Callis hype up Tony Khan’s announcement for later tonight regarding AEW’s first pay-per-view.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
We come back from commercial break and find the AEW National Champion, Brian Cage, standing in the ring. He states that he knows he’ll have to defend his National Championship against Mike Elgin sooner than later, and that he’s more than ready to retain his championship. He issues an open challenge to anyone who thinks they are capable of giving him a proper “warm-up” match. Suddenly…
“SWITCHBLADE” JAY WHITE IS IN ALL ELITE WRESTLING! The crowd is on their feet as Switchblade makes his way to the ring. Brian Cage looks intrigued as he sets the microphone aside and begins to pump himself up.
Match 4
“Switchblade” Jay White v. Brian Cage
Cage calls for a test of strength. White acts like he’s going to accept Cage’s challenge but instead uses underhand tactics to get the early advantage. Jay White shows off his impressive athleticism as he connects with a variety of moves on Cage. The Machine ends up gaining the advantage back with a huge powerslam followed by an incredible dropkick. Both men continue to struggle to regain the advantage but ultimately Cage’s strength is too much the Switchblade. And then…
Mike Elgin appears on the stage! Cage looks distracted as he begins trash talking Elgin from the ring. Out of nowhere, Jay White nails the Blade Runner on Brian Cage! 1! 2! 3! JAY WHITE HAS PINNED THE NATIONAL CHAMPION at 9:49. After the match, Elgin looks on pleased with the result of the match and Cage is pissed. White quickly rolls out of the ring, gloating as the announcers talk about the potential title implications of the match result.

The scene switches to AEW Ceo and President Tony Khan with tonight’s big announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to announce that our first pay-per-view event entitled Double Or Nothing will emanate LIVE in 3 weeks from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been asked by many of my friends and colleagues about the status of the AEW World Championship. I am proud to officially announce that the first ever All Elite Wrestling World Champion will be crowned at Double Or Nothing. But who will compete for the championship?”
Tony smiles with anticipation, building up to the big announcement as the fans in attendance eagerly await to find out who will compete for the World Championship.
“Based upon numerous factors including the impact that these wrestlers have made in AEW, I am proud to announce that the first ever AEW World Championship match will feature Kenny Omega going one-on-one with…”
Tony pauses for a minute as he looks to the side of him. The fans in attendance are confused as Tony has become silent.
“Say it…”
Sweat begins forming on the forehead of Tony Khan as the big announcement begins to take a strange turn.
“Remember...what I told you…”
Tony nervously chuckles as he turns his attention back to the camera.
“The first AEW World Championship match will feature ‘The Best Bout Machine’ Kenny Omega versus ‘The Tollman’ Killer Kross!”
Tony glances to his side yet again.
“I'm impressed. Maybe you’re not as dumb as you look, kid…”
Tony looks into the camera nervously smiling as he we hear an evil yet familiar laugh in the background. The announcers speculate that the voice they heard was none other than the voice of Killer Kross himself. The scene fades to black as even more questions linger.
