Live from Balikpapan, Indonesia
Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center
We start the show with William Regal making his way out and greeting the fans here in Indonesia!
Regal talks about how PPW continues it's trek around the globe, stopping here in Indonesia for a live event as they prepare to make their way across the Timor Sea and into Australia for their string of events around that country. Regal reminds the roster that he will be looking to fill out the rest of the spots for the six man elimination main event at "Downfall" in Melbourne, Australia! And with that, PPW is prepared to give these fans here in Indonesia a rare up close and personal look at some of the best professional wrestling in the world.
**********
First out, we have Stokely Hathaway and WALTER. Stokely berates the crowd and says they do not deserve to see "The Ring General" in action, and he says tonight, he's going to make short work of his opponent as he awaits a real challenge! He says he knows Jay White is looking for a match later in the night, but says that coward would never go one on one with WALTER! From there, the next match begins.
WALTER w/ Stokely Hathaway defeats TJP in under two minutes, ending the match with a Folding Powerbomb. WALTER looked very dominant here, but the fans were booing him anyway, as Hathaway made sure they knew just how he and WALTER felt about them as they left.
"The H.B.I.C." Mia Yim defeats Kay Lee Ray with the Protect Ya Neck to get the pinfall. KLR would put on a good show for this crowd with her exciting offense, but Yim was very focused and you never got the sense she was in any real danger of losing control of this match. Yim would eventually deliver her Protect Ya Neck finisher, before taking the microphone.
Yim says she has done exactly what she has said she was going to do, and will continue to do so until she gets her shot at championship gold! She says she doesn't care if she has to go through Shirai, Riott, Gabert, Evans, Kairi fuckin' Sane, it doesn't matter, she will make her way to a title match and she will prove that she is the "Head Bitch in Charge" here in PPW!
Zack Sabre Jr. defeats Jordan Devlin with a Modified Double Fujiwara Armbar to earn the submission victory. Devlin is a crisp and brash Irishman who tried to come out of the gate striking to take out Sabre, but ZSJ was on fire tonight, showing his great technical acumen to the entertainment of these fans. Sabre is the kind of wrestler that can remind you just how fun a great submission expert can be to watch, and tonight he used one his flashier holds to make Devlin verbally submit, as he didn't have a free hand or foot to tap out with.
Apollo Crews, Kalisto, and Trevor Lee defeats Andrade "Cien" Almas, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, and "Prince Pretty" Tyler Breeze w/ Zelina Vega after Apollo Crews smashed Tyler Breeze with the Crews Control for the pinfall. These fans were ready to have some fun, and these guys didn't disappoint. The more these guys work together, the better the matches get, and this was as smooth and entertaining as anything else on the card. Every guy brought it for the ten minutes this match lasted, with Vega playing her role in a very entertaining way that ended up backfiring, as she got up on the apron. Vega would try to distract Apollo, allowing Breeze to sneak up behind him, only to have Apollo duck a Spin Kick from Breeze that sent Vega off the apron, allowing Crews to deliver his big Powerbomb variaion to get the victory!
"The Lady of PPW" Lacey Evans defeats Naomi in what was a decent, short match after delivering her Woman's Right, followed by a Moonsault. Naomi had the fans on her side early with her energetic entrance and innovative offense, but Evans showed a mean streak in this match and would eventually win out. After the match, "The Alpha Female" Jazzy Gabert would run out and try to attack Evans, trying to get some revenge for Evans' actions at "Destiny", but Evans would manage to escape as Gabert fumed in the ring, telling her she wants a fight!
Next out, we had "Switchblade" Jay White, who says he feels like he's been an afterthought, and wasn't even included on the "Destiny" card! He says between the match makers being incompetent around here, and Stokely Hathaway and WALTER always up his arse, things have gotten off the rails for "Switchblade", but he says he still has a World Heavyweight championship match on the horizon he is working towards, and he will not be ignored! He says he will get the respect he deserves, or people are going to fucking die! He says tonight, he throws out an open challenge to anybody in the back who wants a fight, no disqualifications, no bullshit, he's pissed off and ready for a real fight! This leads the newly signed "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards out to the stage with his Kendo Stick, "Kenny", over his shoulder, and with a crazed look in his eye and his tongue sticking out near perpetually, Edwards enthusiastically accepts White's challenge.
"Switchblade" Jay White defeats "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards in a wild contest that gave these fans here a great show! Edwards would really put a beating on White early in the match, using Kenny to dish punishment to his back, head, and legs, before sending the Kiwi into the crowd to give the audience a nice up and close and personal look at the carnage. White would take the advantage by delivering a Saito Suplex into a row of chairs, before driving Edwards to floor with a Twisting Brainbuster that really made the people cringe! Back at ringside, Eddie would regain the advantage, whipping White into the guardrail and them smashing him into with his Boston Knee Party. Edwards would set up a table on the outside and the two would fight on the apron, before Edwards would manage to deliver a Back Pack Stunner off the apron, through the table, completely crushing Jay White and getting a huge pop from the crowd! Back in the ring, White would manage to low blow Edwards and then he would grab Kenny! White would use the Kendo Stick to choke Edwards, taking him down and locking him into a modified Crossface Chokehold! Edwards would manage to get to the ropes and reverse the hold, pinning White down with a roll-up of sorts, but White would release his hold and escape. Edwards would grab the Kendo Stick and try to decapitate White with it, but White would duck under and catch Eddie with a Reverse STO, sending him face first into the cane, before rolling and lifting Edwards up and right into the Blade Runner! Edwards sells it like death, and White hooks both legs, getting the three count!
"Switchblade" gets the big win here, but WALTER and Stokely Hathaway are on the stage, and Stokely is mockingly applauding. Stokely calls for the microphone and looks like he's going to say something when FROM BEHIND COMES "HANGMAN" ADAM PAGE, AND HE'S GOT A CHAIR! Page attacks WALTER with the chair, threatening to hit Hathaway with it. WALTER stumbles up on the stage and Page rushes him, delivering a Roaring Elbow that sends him off of the stage and falling through a table! "Hangman" poses for the crowd, who are giving him a positive reaction here, and Page gets on the mic and says at "Downfall", he wants to put the "Ring General" out of action for good!
Io Shirai, "Pirate Princess" Kairi Sane, and Mayu Iwatani defeat "The Jersey She-Devil" Liv Morgan, "Dungeon Diva" Natalya, and Ruby Riott in a longer, more drawn out match that really picked up steam around the 15 minute mark, and saw a lot of near falls and big moves for the next five or so minutes, leading to Mayu Iwatani delivering the Dragon Suplex Hold to Liv Morgan to get the pinfall victory for her team! Morgan, Natalya, and Riott were very vicious, loud, and nasty throughout and got these Indonesian fans rooting against them, as they should, with the Japanese stars packing a lot of sympathy and then energy into their performances. The International Women's champion would be allowed to shine here, getting the pinfall in a triumphant moment. Ruby Riott tried to attack Io Shirai at "Destiny" after their match, which Shirai won by roll-up, but she was successful tonight in attacking Mayu Iwatani from behind as she celebrated, laying some boots into her before skipping to avoid a further beating from Shirai and Sane.
"The Flamboyant" Juice Robinson, "The Golden Star" Kota Ibushi, and "Reckless Genius" Tetsuya Naito defeat Buddy Murphy, "The Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne, and Drew Gulak in a really well worked match of similar length to the last match, after Robinson actually picked up the pinfall over his up coming opponent at "Downfall" in Pete Dunne with his Pulp Friction finisher. The faces looked very hot in this match, and had some dazzling offense and dives that had these fans, somewhat tired from a full night of action, getting their second or third wind to cheer them on. Murphy, Dunne, and Gulak are just fantastic and really gave the fans both targets to root against, but also pulled off some moves and transitions that had them wowed. The best sequences of the match probably took place between Murphy and Ibushi, would had two minutes of just non-stop, back and forth, athletic striking and flips that left these fans on their feet wanting more! Near the end, Dunne would attempt to hit his Bitter End on Naito, but Naito would escape and Juice Robinson was there to catch Dunne with a Crescent Kick, followed by Pulp Friction, and it was all over!
Dunne is pulled out of the ring by Murphy and Gulak, who all retreat, as the fans and the winners are all fired up after this contest and the losers look like they've been eating sour grapes! Juice gets on the microphone and says he's feeling good, he sees a lot of beautiful women out there, and there's enough Juice to go around the town, so he's partying tonight and everybody's invited! He's fucking some beautiful Indonesian girls tonight, ALL NIGHT baby! And with that "Flamboyant" exit, the show comes to an end.
