Apollo Crews vs. "The Artiste" Aiden English
Aiden would try to serenade the crowd early, but was interrupted by his opponent, the imposing Apollo Crews. English did a good job of making Crews look strong here, as Crews showed his power and freakish agility throughout. Crews would throw English around the ring and even hit a Moonsault off of the apron as English tried to retreat, establishing his dominance before delivering the Crews Control (Elevated Blue Thunder Bomb) to get the pinfall.
"The Dungeon Diva" Natalya vs. Chelsea Green
Natalya was vicious in this match, wanting to make this a short night for Green on her way to facing Mayu Iwatani for the International Women's title at "Destiny". Green would show a lot of heart, but fell victim to the Sharpshooter that gave Natalya the submission victory.
"Prince Pretty" Tyler Breeze & Andrade "Cien" Almas w/ Zelina Vega vs. Trevor Lee & ACH
Breeze and Almas proved to be a very capable tag team here, as this is their second time teaming in PPW and they are gearing up for a tag match with Kalisto and a partner yet to be named at "Destiny". ACH and Lee are both very good in the ring, and Lee especially had some very heated back and forth exchanges with Breeze that seemed to really rattle "The Gorgeous One", who seemed to disgusted to have to share a ring with a guy like Lee. In the end, Almas would manage to catch ACH on the top rope and bring him down with a suspended version of his Hammerlock DDT to get the win!
After the match, Almas and Breeze continued the beat down on Lee and ACH, leading Kalisto to make his way out! Kalisto would fly into the ring and take down Almas with a huracanrana, but Breeze would catch Kalisto with a Spinning Wheel Kick! Almas and Breeze would then try to beat down Kalisto, but out to the ring to make the save came Apollo Crews! Crews would deliver a Flying Forearm to Almas, sending him out of the ring, before lifting up Breeze and taking him down with a Military Press Drop into a Standing Moonsault! The crowd is on their feet, as Crews takes the microphone and tells Breeze, Almas, and Vega that it will be them versus he and Kalisto at "Destiny"! They do not look very pleased about this, as the fans chant on Crews and Kalisto!
"Switchblade" Jay White vs. "Mad Dog" Oney Lorcan
Lorcan would give Jay White a Hell of a fight in this match, living up to his nickname by being completely unhinged, but White would show his prowess and cunning, managing to catch the over zealous Lorcan with the Blade Runner to get the pinfall.
After the match, WALTER and Stokely Hathaway would make their way out, and WALTER would lay out White in the middle of the ring with the Lariat, followed by a big Powerbomb! "Hangman" Adam Page runs out with a chair, and WALTER and Hathway leave the ring, with Stokely grabbing a microphone. Stokely says that they should have joined forces with "The Ring General", but now they are his enemies, and they will crumble under his power!
"The Golden Star" Kota Ibushi vs. Drew Gulak
The best match of the night so far, and perhaps the best of the night, period, as these two really put on a show for this crowd. Ibushi was looking to get a win here to gain momentum going into his championship match with Tetsuya Naito at "Destiny", but Gulak didn't get the memo, as he looked to take Ibushi out from the start. Gulak was making his debut here and was absolutely relentless in his attack, grounding Ibushi and stretching him, punishing him with strikes to the ribs and trying to wreck his knees with joint locks and shin drops. Ibushi would show his fighting spirit, giving Gulak everything he had with every strike before turning up the heat with some aerial offense, but Gulak looked to stifle that further with his smooth reversals and flawless technique. Gulak would try to lock on the Beast Choker submission he likes to finish people with, but "The Golden Star" manage to escape it on each attempt, and would deliver a Running Shooting Star Press to turn the tides. After eating a striking combo from Ibushi, Gulak would answer back with a headbutt to the chest and a double slap to the side of Ibushi's head before running off the ropes, but Ibushi would catch Gulak with a Spinning Roundhouse Kick to rock his world. Ibushi would deliver further strikes before grabbing Gulak and drilling him with a Last Ride Powerbomb, but Gulak still kicked out! Gulak would manage to get to a knee afterwards, only to take another Roundhouse Kick to the head. With Gulak in position, Ibushi would scale the ropes and come crashing down with a Phoenix Splash on Gulak, and that was enough to end it! Ibushi goes into "Destiny" with another win on his resume, but not without one Hell of a fight from a now rising star in Drew Gulak.
"The Pirate Princess" Kairi Sane vs. "H.B.I.C." Mia Yim
This match was the other contender for match of the night, as these two really told a great story throughout. Sane is poised to face the reigning World Women's champion at "Destiny", but she had a very tough competitor in Mia Yim here ready to test her meddle. Yim would viciously attack the arm of Sane, taking her down early and trying to snap the elbow of Sane, which is the source of some of Sane's most effective offense. Sane would manage to use her mat skills and prowess to get back into this match and take Yim to the outside, where she would come off the top rope and smash her with a Flying Elbow Attack! Yim would show her grit and toughess, gauging the eyes of Sane before grabbing her arm and snapping it across the guardrail! From there, Yim would plant a shoulder to Sane's back and crush her into the turnpost shoulder first, seemingly demolishing the popular star! Back in the ring, Yim would try to lock on a Cross Armbar, but Sane would fight through it, showing her power and lifting Yim up and taking her down with a powerful slam! Sane would run off the ropes and deliver a Sliding Elbow to Yim's face, but she showed the signs of wear, holding her arm after the attack. Yim would grab her arm again and deliver a modified Codebreaker to the arm, taking Sane down once more. Yim would twist the arm and then plant her foot into Sane's face, pulling back and delivering the Seoul Food, and that looked like it was it. Yim would get the cover, but Sane would somehow manage to kick out! Yim couldn't believe it, but tried to apply a Fujiwara Armbar to maybe end the match by submission, but Sane rolled through it and delivered a stiff elbow across Yim's chin, turning her violently before delivering a Bridging German Suplex for a two count! Yim is stunned and staggers to the corner, where Sane flies in with a Diving Elbow Strike, rocking Yim and sending her down to the mat. Sane scales the ropes and the fans are on their feet, as Sane flies off with massive impact, delivering the InSane Elbowdrop! Sane holds her elbow for a moment in pain, but it doesn't matter, as she hooks the near leg and gets the pinfall!
Sane gets on the buckles after the match and mimes the championship belt around her waist as the fans cheer and the show comes to an end.
