This week’s show begins with Samoa Joe coming to the ring to say that he’s been inactive since Aztec Warfare III. After three weeks of sitting out, he’s become restless and he’s dying for some competition. It doesn’t take long for challengers to come out of every corner of the Temple.
First, there’s Pentagon DARK, who has been angling for a shot at the big time all season long, and always coming just a bit short.
Second, “Classy” Freddie Blassie comes out to claim that Pentagon hasn’t proved he’s worthy, citing the fact that he eliminated him from Aztec Warfare III.
Third, Dr. Wagner Jr., accompanied by his manager Famous B and the Beautiful Brenda, appeared. Famous B argued that if anyone deserves a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship, it’s Dr. Wagner Jr., who by the way outlasted both Pentagon DARK and “Classy” Freddie Blassie in Aztec Warfare III. He also reminds us that he has a bone to pick with Joe over his treatment of him on that night.
Fourth, “Macho King” Randy Savage shows up and makes his case, claiming to be the king of lucha libre and deserves to be recognizes as such.
Fifth, Rey Mysterio Jr. comes out, not necessarily to argue that he should get a title shot, but to argue that Savage doesn’t deserve one because he can’t win a match without the help of foreign objects and Sensational Queen Sherri.
Finally, Dario Cueto has heard enough. He comes out of his office and says that he’s heard everyone make their case, and he has decided that Dr. Wagner Jr. has the strongest case for a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship, so he’s going to get that opportunity right now. However, in tonight’s main event, there will be a Fatal Fourway Match between Pentagon DARK, “Classy” Freddie Blassie, “Macho King” Randy Savage and Rey Mysterio Jr., and the winner will compete against the winner of Samoa Joe vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. in next week’s main event for the Lucha Underground Championship.

LUCHA UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Samoa Joe vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. w/ Famous B & Beautiful Brenda
Dr. Wagner Jr. jumped Samoa Joe before the bell rang and took an early advantage. He quickly brought Samoa Joe down to the mat and went for a quick victory by hitting him with a shining wizard within the first thirty seconds. Wagner pinned Joe, who barely got a shoulder up. Joe quickly rolled to the outside, but he couldn’t get away from the doctor of bad medicine for long. Wagner attacked him with a tope suicida and then continue to assault on the floor. After sending Joe back into the ring, Wagner connected with a slingshot tornado DDT and went for another pin, but this time Joe kicked out. Again, he narrowly avoided defeat. Wagner slowed things down, and for the next couple of minutes, he worked over Joe with a variety of submission holds. It was the most dominant 5-minute stretch anyone has ever had on the Samoan Submission Machine.
Unfortunately, not finishing him off quickly, meant that Joe was able to come back. He fought out of the submission holds and mounted a strong comeback featuring most of his greatest hits, including a St. Joe Slam, a CCS enzuigiri kick, an inverted atomic drop, followed by a dropkick, followed by a running senton bomb, a snap powerslam, and a folding powerbomb as a counter to a hurricanrana, which was then held and turned into a Boston crab after Wagner got a shoulder up. After all of this, Joe was in the driver’s seat and looking to end it. He put Wagner in the Coquina Clutch, but the referee was distracted by the Beautiful Brenda. Off the distraction, Famous B entered the ring and hit Joe with a chair to break up the hold.
After that, Joe and Wagner traded chops and jabs. Wagner went for a whip, but Joe countered it and gave Wagner a Samoan drop that got him another near fall. After that, Joe took Wagner into the corner and lifted him onto the top turnbuckle. Another referee distraction brought Famous B back into the ring, but this time, his chair shot was blocked and he was sent flying out of his loafers with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex! Wagner then hit Joe with a diving cross-body block into a lateral press, but Joe kicked out. Wagner went to pick up Joe, but he blocked the effort with some hard elbows to the side of the head and whipped Wagner into the corner. He charged in but got a boot to the face. Wagner hopped onto the top turnbuckle, but Joe pulled on the top rope, then pulled Wagner off the top turnbuckle aand executed the Muscle Buster! He pinned him for a 3-count and the win. Samoa Joe defeated Dr. Wagner Jr. by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Championship. Now, je waits to see who he’ll defend his championship against next week.

The Rabbit Tribe vs. The Worldwide Underground
Paul London, Mala Suerte & Saltador vs. PJ Black, Johnny Mundo & Taya Valkyrie
The Worldwide Underground defeated The Rabbit Tribe by pinfall. There were moments when The Rabbit Tribe was in control of the match. Those moments usually saw Paul London in the thick of things. However, the Worldwide Underground didn’t struggle to regain control of the match, typically whenever Mala Suerte or Saltador was tagged into the match. London became visibly frustrated with his trios partners about half way through the match. He came close to winning it for his team after connecting a superkick to PJ Black’s chin. However, Taya Valkyrie broke up the pinfall. In the end, the Worldwide Underground won its debut trios match when Johnny Mundo executed Starship Pain on Mala Suerte and pinned him immediately thereafter.

The Rabbit Tribe sit in the Lucha Underground locker room. Mala Suerte and Saltador are nursing their wounds after suffering a loss in the previous match. Paul London execuses himself from the scene, goes into the adjacent bathroom and speaks a dark nurse rhyme or riddle while looking into the mirror. Suddenly, the lights flicker on and off and then Catrina appears. She asks what it is that he wants from her. London says that he has an interesting proposition for her. He says that the Rabbit Tribe has had the most woeful string of luck as of late and the only thing that could fix that is a gift from the gods, so he asks her to allow the Rabbit Tribe to challenge Mil Muertes for the Gift of the Gods. Catrina says this is an unusual request and one that London can’t expect her to accept as it is an offer for a 3-on-1 handicap match. London understands that it appears as though there is nothing in it for her (or Mil Muertes), which is why he proposes a Grave Consequences gauntlet match for the Gift of the Gods. She is intrigued by the request but warns him of what happens to men when they lose Grave Consequences. They are never seen again. London knows that. After a moment of deliberation, Catrina accepts the challenge and tells him to get his teammates ready for death, next week.

Ultimo Dragon vs. Mr. America
Ultimo Dragon vs. Mr. America
Mr. America defeated Ultimo Dragon by pinfall. Mr. America got out to a hot start by whipping Ultimo Dragon with his weightlifting belt before the bell rang. However, he couldn’t quite make fast work of Ultimo Dragon. The former Lucha Underground Champion fought back and used his speed to his advantage. The swiftness of his offensive barrage overwhelmed Mr. America right up until the moment after he was tossed into the ring after receiving an Asai moonsault. It was then that Mr. America pulled the referee into the path of oncoming missile dropkick and then turned the tide several dirty moves like snake eyes, a back rack, and choking Ultimo Dragon on the ropes. Mr. America brought a chair into the mix and used it liberally to gain the upper hand. A big boot and running leg drop later, and Mr. America had his hand raised in victory.
Following the match, Prince Puma appeared and asked for an answer to his challenge of a No Mas match. Mr. America talks a big game about how he would destroy Prince Puma in a one-on-one match, but declines the challenge, which brings Dario Cueto out of his office to say that no luchador worthy of stepping foot in his Temple backs away from an honourable challenge, but the Real Americans have proven to be dishonourable people, so he isn’t surprised by Mr. America’s actions. And the only way to deal with dishonourable people is to meet them with equal measures of dishonour, which is why Dario Cueto met with the other members of the Real Americans and offered them a Lucha Underground Trios Championship match next. But he also snuck in a provision in the contract that says that Mr. America will face Prince Puma in a No Mas Match next week and the loser will be banished from the Temple forever!

FATAL FOURWAY MATCH FOR A SHOT AT THE LUCHA UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Pentagon DARK vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage vs. “Classy” Freddie Blassie
FATAL FOURWAY MATCH FOR A SHOT AT THE LUCHA UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Pentagon DARK vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage vs. “Classy” Freddie Blassie
Four generations of incredible talent met in the ring and there was no one who held a clear advantage. Hailing from four different eras, there was the distinct possibility of having a clash of styles in this contest. However, the different flavours that each luchador brought to the match only served to strengthen the quality of this contest. The match featured equal parts grappling, technical mat-based work, high-flying lucha, and out-of-the-ring brawling. Of course, the contestants paired off to fight with their respective adversaries in the early going, but given that a Championship match was at stake, no one turned a blind eye towards pinfall or submission attempts that didn’t involve them. That is to say that everyone cared about the outcome and made a point of trying to be involved in it.
As with any lucha libre contest, high-risk aerial attacks from the ring to the floor were a necessity, and we got them. The only luchador who didn’t take to the air, except to perform a diving knee drop from the second rope, was Blassie. He took the first hit, receiving a plancha from Savage. The Macho King was knocked down by Mysterio with a springboard somersault seated senton. Then, all three luchadores were knocked down by Pentagon DARK with a tope con hilo. After this, a brawl around ringside took place. Pentagon gave Mysterio what could only be described as a bucklebomb, except it was into the retaining wall of the high-rise bleachers. Savage gave Blassie a vertical suplex onto the exposed floor. Mysterio gave Savage a hurricanrana while they were brawling up in the hardwood bleachers. Blassie gave Pentagon a sit-out piledriver onto the seat of one of the wooden chairs at ringside. These were but the highlights of the brutality displayed by each of the luchadores as they fought around the ring.
There were several near falls as the match progressed past the 20-minute mark. However, someone was always there to break it up. Eventually, the big signature moves came out. First, Mysterio got Blassie with a 6-1-9 and the West Coast Pop. The pinfall was broken up by Pentagon with a stiff spinal tap kick. He then pulled Mysterio in for a package piledriver and pinned him, but Savage broke it the pinfall, gave Pentagon a gutwrench suplex and then climbed the top rope and nailed him with a diving elbow drop. His pinfall attempt was broken up by Blassie, who gave Savage a neckbreaker and then the stomach claw. It seemed like Blassie might have the victory in the bag, but Mysterio gave him a basement dropkick to prevent him from winning. Mysterio was taken down with a sling blade from Pentagon, who then attacked Blassie with open-palm strikes. However, Blassie kicked Pentagon below the belt and then grabbed at his head. Pentagon fought to get away, and in the process his mask was removed, causing him to hide his face and roll out of the ring. Blassie got major heal heat for it. He through the mask at Mysterio when he pointed the finger at him for this great offense and then attacked him, however a charging attack was averged by Mysterio when he ducked and pulled down on the bottom rope. However, when he got up, he was hit with a hard lariat by Savage, who then gave Mysterio a piledriver, and his diving elbow drop. 1-2-3!
“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Rey Mysterio Jr., Pentagon DARK, and “Classy” Freddie Blassie by pinfall to earn a shot at the Lucha Underground Championship next week!

Somewhere out in a vast desert landscape, there is a lonely gas station with a storage shed on the corner of its property. Jake Roberts is inside the gas station. He fills the ‘We’re open’ sign to ‘Sorry, we’re closed’ before walking out the door and locking it up. He crosses the property and opens the storage shed. The shed conceals a staircase to an underground layer. He walks down into the layer, where inside we see an extravagant throne designed to look like a golden king cobra. There is artwork of reptiles, snake pits, and other reptiles in cages and aquarium enclosures. There are also three hostages, each of whom is confined to their own cages: Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Nikki Cross.
Roberts threw them all a bowl of daily rations before going to sit on his throne. Here sits the leader of the Reptile Tribe. He grabs a folded document resting on the arm of his throne and opens it up. It is a guaranteed contract for a Lucha Underground Championship match at Ultima Lucha Tres. He looks at his prisoners and tells them that the time to claim his prize is near. He offers Jericho and Guerrrero their freedom in exchange for helping him to secure the championship. Neither of them wishes to help.
Cross speaks up and says she can help. She knows a sure-fire way of defeating Samoa Joe. She tells Roberts of a gauntlet that holds an incredible power. Taken aback, he asks her if she really knows where to find the Gauntlet of the Gods. She confirms that she does, and she tells him that she’ll take him to it if he agrees to help her to free her one true love from his own captivity. Roberts agrees to the pact and tells Jericho and Guerrero that he no longer needs their help and tells them they can rot in their cells for the rest of their days.
