We open the show to a meeting in Dario Cueto’s office between El Jefe and Prince Puma. Cueto has asked Puma here to inquire about the whereabouts of one Eddie Guerrero, making it known that he’s aware that nothing happens on the streets of Boyle Heights without Puma’s knowledge. Puma tells him that he saw Guerrero get both his broken by Pentagon DARK, in an attack that took place in the alley behind The Temple. He says that he took Guerrero to the ER and that was the last he’s seen of him. Cueto thanks him and wishes him good luck in his match tonight, saying that he hopes the Real Americans don’t attack him tonight. Prince Puma says that he’ll make such short work of his opponent that they won’t even get the chance.

Real Americans vs. Mexicools
Sgt. Slaughter, The Patriot & Jim Duggan vs. Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera & Super Crazy
Sgt. Slaughter, The Patriot & “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan defeated Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera & Super Crazy by submission. This week’s opening contest was an Ultima Lucha Dos rematch. As with the first time these teams met, it was the Real Americans who came out on top. Their slow-paced style of power moves and technical holds zapped the energy from the Believers and serves to wear down their faster, smaller opponents. The Mexicools, however, had a late match rally that brought the Believers back to life. They made the impression that they might pull out the victory, however Duggan’s 2x4 to the back of Guerrera’s head knocked him silly and gave Slaughter the chance to apply the Cobra Clutch to secure the win. After the match, the Real Americans grabbed their Stars ‘n Stripes and used the flag poles to choke the life out of each of the Mexicools until the Trios Champions, Fénix, Aero Star & Drago, rushed to the ring to make the save.

Saltador vs. Pete Dunne
Saltador vs. Pete Dunne
Lucha Underground newcomer Pete Dunne defeated Saltador by pinfall in his singles match debut in the Temple. Dunne followed up an incredible performance in his Lucha Underground debut at Aztec Warfare III where he began the match and outlasted fifteen other luchadores to finish in fifth overall by making relatively quick work of the zebra-stripped member of the Rabbit Tribe. After employing his trademark joint manipulation techniques, especially working on Saltador’s fingers, the seemingly salty Englishman executed the Bitter End and pinned Saltador for the victory. Just as it occurred last week, Paul London turned his back on his tribesman and left ringside alone while Mala Suerte entered the ring to check on partner, which earned him a trip down the Bitter End courtesy of the “Bruiserweight.”

Back in the Lucha Underground locker room, we see Taya Valkyrie walk in. PJ Black is already seated there. He asks Taya what she’s doing there. Taya says that Johnny Mundo asked to meet with her here, saying that he told her he had something very important to tell her. Black can’t believe it because Johnny said he had to meet him and that he had something very important to tell him. Mundo shows up, greets Black and Taya, and gives them the great news: he met with Dario Cueto and arranged to them their first match as a trios team next week. Then, Johnny plays a righteous air guitar that actually produces electric guitar sound. Taya is stoked, but Black says he’s not interested. As he gets up to leave, Mundo grabs him by the arm and tells him to give it a chance. Just one chance and see how it goes. Mundo says that if it goes well, they’ll be on fast track to the Lucha Underground Trios Championships and to bigger paydays. Black contemplates it for a moment and then says he’ll be there, then he walks out of the room. Once he’s gone, Mundo proposes that he and Taya go out to diner to celebrate and she says, “Yes.”

Prince Puma vs. Cortez Castro
Prince Puma vs. Cortez Castro
Prince Puma defeated Cortez Castro by pinfall. Predictably, the match ended in a matter of minutes as Castro was outmatched and outclassed in this contest. The contest served as a means for Puma to showcase his in-ring ability, as a reminder to the Lucha Underground locker room that this incredible luchador can really go. After finishing off Castro with his trademark 630-degree senton bomb, he pinned him for the victory. Following the win, Prince Puma took the in-house mic to announce that he made a pledge to protect this Temple from the evil forces that would tear it down to the ground, brick-by-brick. That solemn promise to the Believers has resulted in some recent injuries at the hands of the anti-lucha group the Real Americans, and Mr. America in particular. However, he feels he is at 100%, and he knows that at 100%, he can vanquish the Real Americans any day of the week. What’s more is he’s had enough of their bullshit, so he’s ready to put it all on the line to show the world that the dark forces that exist therein cannot triumph over good by challenging Mr. America to a “No Mas” match where the luchador who gives up doesn’t simply give up on the match but on their right to step foot in the Temple forever!

GIFT OF THE GODS MATCH
Will Ospreay vs. Mil Muertes w/ Catrina
Mil Muertes defeated Will Ospreay by pinfall to retain the Gift of the Gods. This 20-minute contest truly showcased the potential and the promise of the young Aerial Assassin, who brought the Believers to their feet an several occasions thanks to his high-flying, high-risk repertoire. At various times during the match, Ospreay went from the inside to the outside of the ring with a running 540-degree corkscrew senton bomb and a Sasuke Special. He also executed a standing shooting star press, a springboard corkscrew shooting star press, an imploding 450-degree splash and a burning star press. All these moves were extremely impressive, but none of them could secure a 3-count against the Man of a Thousand Deaths. Mil Muertes always found a way to come back, thanks in part to his impressive power. He punished Ospreay throughout the contest with a sidewalk slam, snap powerslam, spinebuster, superplex, a fireman’s carry drop from the second rope, a 180-degree spinning chokeslam, and the Reaper’s Trident spear. However, Ospreay showed his fighting spirit by refusing to stay down after each and every one of those powerful maneuvers. He even continued to battle for a good 10-minutes after suffering what appeared to be a mid-match lower back injury after going for a running hurricanrana only to have it reversed into a powerbomb on the side of the ring apron. It was a mighty impressive showing, but in the end, when he attempted the OsCutter, Ospreay was shoved away into the ropes and hit with a Reaper’s Trident and then given a Flatliner to end the match. When it was all over, Catrina entered the ring and gave Ospreay her lick of death across his face. Mil Muertes collected the Gift of the Gods and Catrina proclaimed that this was the future Lucha Underground Champion.

Dario Cueto walks into a dingy bar. He walks over to the counter and seated on a bar stool is a masked luchador. He takes a seat at the bar stool next to him. Cueto says he understands that he is the greatest hunter in all of Mexico. The luchador says that some have said that yes. Cueto also understands that he hunts humans in addition to animals. The luchador confirms that is what he does. Cueto asks him why he should believe that he should entrust in him to do the job he wants done. The luchador says that what makes him so successful is that he does it for the thrill of hunt. It is that thrill that drives him to succeed and capture his prey at all costs. Cueto jokingly asks if that means he doesn’t have to pay him. The luchador says that he doesn’t hunt to get paid, but if Cueto wants his trophy, he’ll have to pay him for it. Cueto opens a desk drawer and produces a couple of large stacks of cash and then slides a photo of Eddie Guerrero over to him and tells him to find this man, who was last seen outside the Boyle Heights Hospital ER, and bring him back alive and in one piece. He picks up the photo and the cash, but before leaving, Cueto asks him what he said his name was. The luchador tells him his name is Cuerno. King Cuerno.
