Out on a secluded desert highway, under the warm hot sun, the camera catches a glimpse of the eyes of Cortez Castro looking in the rear view mirror. The car pulls to a stop. There is another car out here. It appears to be a meeting point. A man steps out of the other car. It’s Jake Roberts. We’ve seen him before. He’s kidnapped Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero. But what is he doing out here meeting with Cortez Castro, Dario Cueto’s only remaining hired goon. It doesn’t take long to find out. Castro opens the trunk of his car. Inside it is Nikki Cross. She’s bound, tied up, and gagged. Castro says that his boss wanted him to get rid of her. He notes that she killed his best friend, so he’s more than happy to have her exterminated. Roberts says that making people disappear is his specialty, so he’s come to the right place. He asks Castro if he’s brought the other cargo. He opens the passenger side door, enters into the glove box and pulls out several bundles of cash. The cash gets tosses into a burlap sack held open by Roberts. He says that should be enough cargo for him to get the job done. Cross’ body is then moved from one car trunk to the next, after which point both cars take off in opposite directions.

LUCHA UNDERGROUND TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
Aero Star, Fénix & Drago vs. Ultimo Dragon, Dragon Lee & Son of Havoc
Aero Star, Fénix & Drago defeated Ultimo Dragon, Dragon Lee & Son of Havoc by pinfall to retain the Lucha Underground Trios Championship. High-flying, high-risk, high-octane lucha libre was on full display throughout this 15-minute contest that saw everyone giving it their all. Everyone took to the skies and they did so often. A flourish of finishing maneuvers in the dying minutes of the contest came in rapid succession with Son of Havoc executing a shooting star press on Drago, but then receiving a Fénix Driver from Fénix, who was then given a Dragon Driver by Dragon Lee, who then received a blockbuster DDT from Drago, who immediately ended up on the receiving end of an Asai DDT from Ultimo Dragon, who was then taken down with the déja vu tilt-a-whirl headscissors and then given a 450-degree splash by Aero Star, who pinned him for the win.

Cheeseburger vs. Rosemary
Cheeseburger vs. Rosemary
Rosemary defeated Cheeseburger by pinfall in her singles match debut in the Temple. She executed Red Wedding, her version of Brock Lesnar’s F-5, and pinned Cheeseburger for the win after about 5-minutes of action. Following the match, she took the house mic and revealed that Sexy Star destroyed more than just her arm when it was ripped out of her socket, but that she has healed all her wounds and has been reborn stronger than ever before. It was at this point that Matt Striker and Vampiro realized that Rosemary was previously seen in the Temple as Courtney Rush. Clearly, something more than just her arm was snapped. Rosemary finished by stating that she wished to thank Sexy Star by helping to heal her broken soul. One can only speculate what that really means.

We go into a dimly lit room. Suddenly, a blue fluorescent spotlight shines on the Ultimate Warrior! We haven’t seen him since he lost Grave Consequences at Ultima Lucha Dos and was subsequently buried alive by Mil Muertes. It turns out this is not the same person. A voice speaks to the individual standing in the light. It tells him that he now bears the title of the Ultimate Warrior as the previous Ultimate Warrior, who looked exactly the same as this Ultimate Warrior, was lost on his exploratory mission to Earth. What was learned from his great loss is that the human race is too dangerous and violent to enter into a peaceful intergalactic partnership with the United Planets in Peace. Therefore, it is now his job to travel to Earth to eliminate humanity before it becomes too powerful to stop it from terrorizing the galaxy. The Ultimate Warrior accepts its mission. Before it goes, the voice tells the Ultimate Warrior that it must obtain something known as the Gauntlet of the Gods as that is the key to ensuring that the human race will turn on itself and self-destruct.

Mala Suerte vs. El Hijo del Fantasma
Mala Suerte vs. El Hijo del Fantasma
El Hijo del Fantasma defeated Mala Suerte by pinfall. Mala Suerte and Saltador were up to their typical comedic antics. Paul London, however, was urging them to take this bout more seriously, which is a change in his demeanor since coming to Lucha Underground. The insistence on having fun was part of what led to Mala Suerte receiving a variety of DDTs from Fantasma, who would later finish him off with an inverted cradle piledriver. After the match, Saltador checked on his partner. However, Paul London, sporting a look of disgust on his face, turned and left ringside without checking on his Rabbit Tribe brethren.

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage w/ Sensational Queen Sherri
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. “Macho King” Randy Savage w/ Sensational Queen Sherri
“Macho King” Randy Savage defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. by pinfall. At the beginning of the match, it was noted by Matt Striker that Mysterio asked Cueto for this match after he was recently attacked by Savage. Mysterio and Savage put on a workrate clinic punctuated by the occasional high-flying maneuver. Savage, the self-proclaimed king of lucha libre, showed extreme disrespect to lucha libre tradition by attempting to tear off Mysterio’s mask. Mysterio, however, was able to keep his mask in tact, albeit with the eye holes having been stretched out a little bit. In the late stages of this match, Savage decided to brawl around ringside after executing a diving double axehandle smash to Mysterio outside the ring. He gave Mysterio a suplex on the floor and whipped him into ringside seats. Mysterio countered these attacks by executing a running senton senton off the ring apron as well as a springboard diving hurricanrana from the the ring out to the floor. At about the 22-minute mark, Mysterio managed to get Savage caught up in the ropes following some tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Sherri handed Savage his royal sceptor as Mysterio turned his back to run to the far side of the ring. He returned with a 6-1-9 attempt, but Savage moves out of the way and then decked Mysterio with his sceptor as he stood on the ring apron. Savage picked him up and suplexed him back into the ring, then climbed to the top rope and landed the diving elbow drop. 1…2…3!

LA City Councilman Delgado meets with Dario Cueto in his office. He learns that Samoa Joe was Cueto’s pick to take what they refer to as The Gauntlet of the Gods, and that Joe proved there was no better choice to host the power of the gods by starting and ending Aztec Warfare, but that Joe didn’t take it. Delgado says this is unacceptable. He says that if Joe won’t reconsider, they’ll need to find a new host as soon as possible because if they don’t, then they will not survive the war that will wipe out all the Ancient Aztec tribes, which, if the prophecies are to be believed, is coming soon.
Just then, a knock on the door is heard. Cueto tells Delgado that they can ignore it because nothing could be more important than what they are discussing right now. After a pause, there is another knock on the door, and a voice is heard yelling, “Excuse me!” After another pause, the door knob is jiggled a bit. Following another pause, a crowbar smashes out the office door window, a hand reaches in and opens the door using the inside knob. The door swings open, and the women standing in the doorway says, “I said, ‘Excuse me!’”
Delgado and Cueto stare at her. Cueto asks what he can do for her. She says, “I’m looking for my husband, Eddie. He was last seen in your lucha warehouse. Where is he?” Cueto looks at Delgado and says, “I think I have a solution.”
